Not worth the trip if your buying. Prices are a joke. The older man was so rude. Pretty sure hes the owner of the store.

This place is awesome. Theyve always been fair with their loans and will work with you on payments if need be. My husband and I have been coming here for years and they have always been professional and courteous. The owner has even gave myself and my son stuff for free, like PS4 games, and jewelry. They are awesome and are the only pawn shop around that will get my business. Thanks City pawn and gun you rock!!

Ive been a repeat customer for well over a decade. Ron and his staff have always been accommodating and courteous. Purchases as well as loans were handled efficiently and professionally. No complaints from me.

I am a man from the north and of Hispanic decent. Double negatives for going into a small town pawn shop in the south. Statesville city pawn & gun is always there to help. I dont think people understand that they run a business and are very busy people. This isnt their only store. If you walk in with junk expecting to get rich theyre not going to beat around the bush, theyll tell you its not worth anything Some say its rude i say its proper business because theyll still offer you a price to help you out. Theyre fast, professional, and have a huge inventory to browse. I get the money i need when i need it and they make sure it happens. I would totally recommend this location first on your pawn shop journey. Take care!

The man said he would not sell me a wooden SKS rifle with a fixed 10 round magazine at 18 years old because it could be modded to an assault weapon and i needed to be 21 to buy that. They are not friendly people, and they do not even follow federal gun laws. In the U.S. you can purchase any rifle at age 18. Do not buy from them. they are A-holes!!

The owner of the store (old white haired man) was very rude and did not want to take things out for me or my fiance to look at, me and my him were looking at computers and he wouldnt even plug it up for us to see. I 100% would not recommend this place. I use to go here with my pappaw too it makes me so sad and angry.

As far as buying from them, theyll be as nice as can be but if youre trying to pawn something, you better be prepared to get ripped off!! I was in there earlier today an one of the workers, I wont say who but I had overheard a conversation an it made me so angry. She made this comment while laughing, WELL SALE IT TO HIM BUT HE SAID IF IT DONT WORK ILL JUST BRING IT BACK AN ( SHE) SAID HAHAHA WE DEFIANTLY WONT PAY HIM WHAT HE PAID US!! Hint lady we all know you rip people off, you dont have to brag in front of paying customers.

I called and asked the guy on the phone a simple question and he got rude with me.. I have been there before, but havent been there in a long time.. They are and always have been uptight rude people.. I would recommend you not do business with these people.. I called and asked him if I could get a loan on a pair of Studio headphones. They are $200 brand new and all I wanted was $20 til next Friday when I get paid.. Simple and easy loan.. Instead the guy hung up on me and was being a DIC*

Awful customer service. The staff is really rude. Ive been in a couple of times and most of the time you cant get the staff to show you something. If there was a line I could understand but there could be one person in front of you and youre still waiting 10 min to just look at an item. Was talking to a guy about a rifle I was interested in and just asked would he take a little less and he replied no he could sell the rifle really easy today to someone else. I gave the rifle back to the guy and as I was saying something he just walked away. Really??? DO NOT WAST YOUR TIME IN THIS PLACE!!!

Ill never spend another penny in that store. They were very rude. I wish theyd close down. Theyre not doing statesville a bit of good with the attitudes they have. They dont even know what merchandise they have. Theyre nothing but a bunch of stuck up old me that cant do anything at home so theyve decided to open a pawn shop so they could have something to do with there meaningless lives. Not another penny and i hope they read this and improve their selves and their business.

I am absolutely disgusted with the way I was treated today at city pawn and gun. I walked in the store just browsing and found a really nice iPad I was interested in. Almost brand new and in perfect working order. The gentleman got the iPad out of the case for me and let me look at it. I noticed it was data capable through sprint. I have Verizon service. So out of COMPLETE CURIOSITY, not a deal breaker, but total curiosity, I called Verizon to see if there was a way I could take it there and get a new SIM card and flash it over to Verizon. The man was hovering over me at this point listening to my conversation. Long story made short the iPad was the wrong model number to flash over to Verizon. When I hung up the phone, he snatched the iPad away from me. I said “excuse me sir I was still looking at that.” His response was this. “You know we are a pawn shop. I can guarantee it’s working condition, but i can’t guarantee that it’ll be data capable so this is just a sale I’d rather not make. Go shop at the apple store.” Again, not being able to put it on my Verizon account was NOT A DEAL BREAKER. I still wanted the iPad. I’m on WiFi 99% of the time anyways. I don’t need the data. I was just curious. I responded with “sir I still want to buy the iPad.” And i explained that to him that it was just out of curiosity. He didn’t want anything to do with me and looked down his nose at me like i was a waste of his time. I had cash in hand ready to purchase. I am disgusted by the way this man treated me and talked to me in front of other customers. I will absolutely never step foot in this pawn shop ever again for anything. Even if my life depended on it. How rude.

For me its a great place to shop and find great deals. Do the have a attitude yes a little but there in a tough business. So some may have hurt feelings.

I was looking at two different laptops and the owner told me he was not wasting his time to show me either one of the laptops because Im to young and cant afford it im 18 years old and im an it tech and I make 70,000 a year I was simply looking for a cheap laptop for my fiancee

Didnt seem too interested in selling their merchandise but they do have an excellent selection of firearms.

I give no stars, but had to give at least one to write this review. I do not suggest doing business with this shop. The staff are rude, presumptuous and disrespectful. Plenty of other Pawn and Gun stores in the area, do your self a favor and stay clear of this one!

Very poor customer service, I will not be back again. Apparently their firearms are extremely fragile and simply opening the cylinder to inspect before buying would cause too much damage and is prohibited.

Half the time they give me no trouble sometimes there rude plane and simple one reason why I go back is if your paying on something and your payment comes up but you dont have the money at the time he will give you more time to make the payment so you dont lose your stuff.

Thank you to the owner after you acted like a jerk to me over the used gun that you was trying to sell to me for more then what it cost new I went too point blank and bought a new gun so you lost and I won you need too treat people fair and not act like a jerk
