Horrible experience. Brought my skid steer here because I was told it would be looked at quickly because they were slow. It has a hydraulic leak and was creeping along on its own so it needs something done with the steering. A week later they call and tell me it will be $2400 to repair the steering and they havent even looked at the hydraulic leak. I just had it at another JD dealer and it was going to be a little over $800 for everything. We didnt get it fixed there because it was 3 states away and we werent sure when we would be back, so we brought it back home with us. Now weve wasted an additional week, and they did nothing to it except charge me $181.00 to keep my machine for a week. Ill never buy anything from these folks and will definitely never do business with them again.Update: turns out the wrong bolts were in, to fix the steering was an hour of labor and a set of new bolts. Had to buy a new seal kit for the hydraulics, total cost to repair from a local shop was $901 and some change. Two places were roughly thr same price, these guys were a joke.

Very frustrating experience. I ordered a bagger kit for my mower. Took a bit to come in. Went in picked it up and started installing. Kit wasnt complete and needed to order another part. Did so. Waited 2 weeks for that to come in. Started again on installation. Low and behold another part was missing from the kit. Itll probably be snowing before I get all the parts in to install at this rate.Separate issue. Ordered a sprayer. Kit came, was installing it. Wow, not all of the kit was there. Had to go back and get the frame that was not provided.Im new to this JD store. Will be finding another.

Tried to over sell my wife. Told her our mower had $1700.00 worth of issues to be fixed. All we needed was a tune up on mower with less than 100 hours. Had another tech outside James River tell us nothing was wrong that they tried to sell us a load of BS. Never will own another John Deere. No way to treat an owner because she was female. Shame on you James River Statesville NC.

I had gotten off work and was at the store waiting for 7:30. A salesman pulled up asked what I was there for. He did not make me wai outside for the remaing 20 min, instead he walked to his office and looked up and wrote down the part numbers and gave them to me so the parts dep. Could grab them and I could get home. One of the ladies there, no not a parts person persay but she got the parts. All the while she had received news of her cousins passing this morning. I will pray for her and her family and for James River in Statesville/Coolsprings NC. That is the best Customer service and appreciation I have gotton anywhere. Thank you!

Our lawnmower was picked up by James River Equipment on 4/3/13. We were told they would need it approximately 1 to 1 1/2 wks. After several phone calls regarding the progress of the service, we were told in person on Friday, April 19th that the lawn mower was ready (this was almost 3 wks later) however, they went on to say that it would NOT be delivered to us until Wednesday, April 24th because their delivery truck was not going to be in Statesville again until April 24th.Needless to say, we will not be using them again. Also the cost for repair was almost - $500.00. In addition, we had to pay someone else to mow our lawn because they did not have a mower for us to borrow.

Great people always willing to help and when you buy equipment from them they are there to service it if it happens to have problems in the field.
