Our dining room set is amazing! It is just as promised! The quality, color, and beauty of this furniture is exactly what I hoped for. We wanted “heirloom quality” and that is precisely what they delivered. I simply cannot say enough how pleased I am. The service we received was equally great—all our questions were answered while awaiting delivery, and the delivery crew was so careful with installation and very courteous.
Just got my table and chairs yesterday and so far it’s amazing. I’ll looking forward to seeing how it holds up through the years. I never thought it would be this beautiful. So far I can say it’s great quality. I love how the quartersawn white oak looks with the burnt umber stain. I couldn’t imagine a better sales experience or customer service.
I have never had dealings with a company as good as this one. Amish Direct not only has quality furniture with beautiful workmanship, but management will stop at nothing short of making their customers completely satisfied! I thought I had a problem with a stain color.....they happily agreed to have another table made and sent to me free of charge, and I live pretty far away. Turned out to be an honest mistake on my part with the lighting in my room. They never had anything negative to say...always pleasant and accommodating. They would have sent a third table out if necessary! Unheard of!! This family is honest and sincerely want satisfied customers. I would do business with them again and again. Owners like this are rare to find these days.
A Mission style bed and two matching nightstands were ordered. We now have the handmade furniture having the quality and character we sought. Excellent quality, excellent finish, and no regrets in ordering custom made quality furniture. We would make the same selection again without reservation.
Weve ordered several custom pieces from Amish Direct. The quality is very good - with sturdy construction and beautiful finish. The sales staff were helpful and responsive . The only downside was that we had to wait months to get the pieces we ordered. If you want heirloom quality furniture, it is worth the wait.
We just received our trestle table and bench. They are absolutely beautiful. Everything is so well made. This has been a wonderful experience from start to finish. First the showroom had many selections. The saleswoman was very helpful showing me tables that fit the dimensions and style I was interested in. She was also helpful giving suggestions of which tables were more versatile if your living spaces change. There was absolutely NO pressure. She told me to take my time, that furniture is a big decision that shouldn’t be rushed and that if she wasn’t there when I returned that anyone there could help me. She gave me detailed written pages of the prices of furniture I was interested in. When I did return she wasn’t there, but the young man who helped me was also great. We decided on the finish and he gave helpful suggestions of the length of the bench related to the table length. Then came time for delivery. Unfortunately my schedule changed at the last minute but they were able to accommodate me. I was so thankful. The men showed up after calling me to confirm the new time worked. They assembled the furniture, put protectors on and levelled it. They also talked about the care of it, which was a great reminder. We are so pleased. I will totally return to this store when I have future furniture needs . I totally recommend this business!
Everything about working with this company was great from start to finish. I never even physically went into the store. I looked online and dealt with Jared over the phone. We coordinated style, color, and delivery all over the phone and by email. Everything he said was on target, even the delivery date (which was surprisingly reasonable and timely considering covid). The customer service people were so helpful in helping me select the stain that would go with my current floors.The table I received is exquisite and beautifully made. More lovely than I could’ve imagined. The delivery people were top notch as well and put the table together. We had wonderful communication, great customer service, and a fabulous product (dining table and chairs) delivered. The wait time was just as predicted for our build, and it was well worth the wait. It was also reasonably priced and often less expensive than an imported table you might buy from a big box store (made from unsustainable forestry or by underpaid workers). Im trying to buy American- made and quality when I can and feel very good about this purchase. Highly recommend!
We LOVE our new dining table and chairs. The trestle base with the hand scraped finish on the top is amazing! The chairs are very comfortable. The finish is dark, just like we wanted, but we can still see the beauty of the oak. Thanks Dave for a great shopping/customizing process. This place has some seriously cool furniture. Bar tables, kitchen tables, night stands, bed frames and bedroom sets. Really quality stuff from the wood that is used to the construction techniques. Your not going to find this in Ikea, but then again your going to be paying a whole lot more here than at your throw away furniture store.
There are times people may question the type of furniture they want and are willing to pay for. I grew up being taught that if it is good, quality built furniture it can last a lifetime with care. When I started to buy my own furniture, I was interested in having the wood, style and stain of my choice because I wanted it to be timeless so it can look as good 50 years from now as it did when I bought it. That is what I have found in the furniture I purchased from Amish Direct Furniture.My initial contact with the company was from the website while searching for pantries. I didn’t want the put together kind as I had that before. They are not lifetime pieces. I didn’t know there was an Amish furniture store in my area and I was glad to be able to go and see for myself the quality compared to the price. However, it was a while before I actually went to the store.When I first walked into the showroom, I was greeted by Jared who inquired on the reason for my visit. I informed him of the search for two pantries that I saw online but could not find them any longer. I had the information on a cell phone picture. He located the catalog in the store and found exactly the same pantries.While ordering, I was surprised at the options of stains and hardware along with the types of wood and option to customize what I was looking for. The original pantries had drawers but they were on the bottom. I wanted them moved to the middle as I had plans to use them for spices I have in mason jars. Jared understood and took to the math calculations to see how the height would be beneficial and compared it to my height. He also helped with the hardware and how the handles would ergonomically be more comfortable for my hands. Jared also took the time to answer questions and addressed any concerns I had after explaining the ordering process. I placed the order and went home.Later that day, I realized the stain was much lighter than any other wood furniture stains I had at home and felt it would not be a match. I called Jared who said it was not too late to add the stain. I returned to the store and had the challenge of selecting between two stained I liked. As I had two pantries, I selected stains and hardware that complimented each.Delivery was flawless and accommodating to my schedule. When the pantries arrived, I was astonished at how well built the furniture was, how beautiful the stain and hardware, connectors and shelving were. When they arrived in the house, I was amazed at how well it matched the kitchen cabinets and armoire that I had over 15 years ago. I put a wood oil on them, sewn felt on the metal shelf tabs, put felt on the bottom of the shelves to catch any spills, and put the 4oz and 8oz mason jar spices and herbs in the drawers. They both hold so much until I was able to take items from the basement shelves and cabinets and place them into the panties! I was then able to get rid of the put-it-together-yourself furniture I bought years ago.Since that time I have purchased a 3 shelf small bookcase that fits exactly in the space I designated in the living room, a platform bed which also was retrieved from an old catalog, and, from the showroom, a pie safe that I use to store craft and sewing items, yarn, and craft books.Everyone who sees the furniture is astonished at how beautiful they look, how well built they are and the fact that, even though they were not on the website any longer, I could still purchase and customize the pieces.I have plans for an oversized glider rocker and a dinning room table set I saw in the showroom. I have pictures of the table that will match the pantries, just in case...

If I could give 10 stars I would. I ordered a Mission Hutch and was a bit nervous about spending so much money on line sight unseen but boy was I wrong. The hutch was delivered and set up in our home and far, far exceeded expectations. The quality and workmanship is the very best. I am beyond thrilled with my new hutch. Btw, for the same configuration in cabinets from Home Depot plus installation the cost would have been more than twice what we paid for the Amish Direct piece. Win win, happy customer that will be back!
Stunning, exquisite craftsmanship. I ordered the Grand Isle table and 6 Fenmore dining chairs. The wood I selected was the Quarter Sawn White Oak done in the Golden Brown stain. I also, requested the legs were customized with engraving on each leg giving a more dramatic look to the table. I am more than pleased with the outcome of the quality, look and stain color.I especially want to give special thanks to Jared and Dave assisting me with all my questions and special requests. Also, a big thank you to Pete, the person who delivered the set. I went to all the local stores to find a desk for my home office. The stores either didnt have desks or the desks they had the quality was very poor. So I decided to go to Amish Direct Furniture...SO GLAD I did!!I walked in and was greeted by Jared...I told him I was looking for a desk. Jared showed me the desks that they had in store and also said that I could order a desk too. I fell in love with a desk that was in store. The day I happened to go was pouring down rain...Jared and David wrapped up the desk so well it made it all the way home without getting wet!! Thank you Jared and David!!!! My new desk is beautiful!!I was so impressed with Amish Direct...I went back a few days later to look for a desk chair and jewelry box. This time I was greeted by Steven...again I was not disappointed!! I have a beautiful jewelry box and desk chair. We love this table. It is sturdy; nobody is going to trip because they put out a hand to support themselves with it; nobody is going to wobble it by bumping it with a chair. Its here to stay. And the tall folks have a place to put their fee without a table-leg in the way.Its beautiful. the finish is perfect.And the way it slides apart for the leaf is slick and smooth, very impressive. Made me smile. Ive moved a lot of leaves in and out of tables and this is the best.Delivery was courteous beyond expectation.Directions were on the light side, but the table is pretty simple, and Im not going to down grade for that. Its just too gorgeous, a strong mix of practical and beautiful.

August 15, 2020. My wife and I visited Amish Furniture Direct on Saturday, August 15, 2020 in Sterling Height, MI around 12:45 pm -1.pm. We are remodeling our home and wanted to purchase a new kitchen dining set. I was very disappointed as after 30 minutes in the store, not one salesperson greeted us, told us they would be with us ASAP, nor as we slowly left the store, even said thanks for stopping or coming by. This would have been a guaranteed sale had they only made an effort to wait on us. I do wonder if the fact that the sales force on staff was all white men of various ages, and the fact that my wife and I are African-Americans had something to do with our lack of treatment. I do not recommend this store based on this treatment.

We just received our hard maple table and 6 chairs. My father used to work for a furniture company, so I can easily recognize fine quality. To those of you who are a little concerned of the cost, remember- you get what you pay for. The workmanship and quality of the wood and finish is excellent. Actually, the price itself is not bad at all- and cost-wise compares to furniture you might buy at Macys or West Elm- except theirs is not solid wood!! The cost for us was in the shipping, as we live on the west coast-but once again, I tell you purchasing from this company is a dream! And I had no hesitancy in giving this company its 5 stars!

We have a hard maple wall unit in our dining room. The goal was to get a table and chairs that matched this piece in both style and finish. This proved to be impossible locally. AmishDirectFurniture to the rescue! Doing business with Amish Direct Furniture was a pleasure. From the selection, through the ordering process, and all the way through delivery things went perfectly ... well, except for the truck driver getting stuck in the 11 inches of snow in front of our house! The packing of the pieces was phenomenal! I was concerned as to how such a large table could be well packed for shipment. It was an unnecessary worry, and everything arrived in perfect condition. Assembly of the table was straight forward, and gave me an opportunity to appreciate the excellent quality and construction techniques used. We ordered four leaves with skirts ... two stored in the table and two in place ... very nice! And ... the finish matches our existing pieces quite nicely! We will definitely recommend Amish Furniture Direct to friends and will very likely order again ourselves!
Purchased a desk and credenza from this store and couldnt be happier with it. The salesman spent a lot of time with me customizing them and explaining the grains and pros and cons of various wood types. Limitless colors to choose from and they arrived within the projected time frame. I have recommended this store to many friends and family who were looking for high quality furniture.
The store is big and well laid out. Easy to view different chairs and tablesets. The downfall is both times we visited, our particular request/quote required them to contact the workshop. And both times, we have never received any type of response back to us. Ultimately we visited another amish furniture shop nearby and placed an order with them.
I ordered the Highland Bed. The customer service at the store was very nice. They were very knowledgeable and helpful. The movers that brought the bed were very nice and set it all up so quickly. The bed is so beautiful and will last a lifetime. It is so worth the money!! Its all solid oak. Not like anything you would buy at the other places that costs the same and falls apart a few years later. I will be able to pass this down to my daughter!
Though it doesnt look like much from the outside, I would highly recommend Amish Direct Furniture to anybody looking for quality wood furniture. The store showcases a wonderful variety of designs to accommodate those with different style preferences and space restrictions. They even make custom pieces if you see something in the store but want it in a different stain, upholstery, etc. It is also family owned, and the service was excellent.

I ordered a large dining room table, as well as a small kitchen table from these folks. I LOVED how I was able to customize everything how I liked (I picked the style, wood, stain, etc). Everything came out exactly how I wanted and expected. It does take quite a bit of time (2-3 months), but it is very much worth the wait. I had considered buying a dining room table from trendy vendors like Restoration Hardware, which would have ran me around $5,000 for a table made of something like pine, and assembled using corner cutting, time saving methods such as pocket screws, whereas my Amish dining room table cost over $1000 less than that and was made of high quality brown maple and assembled in the proper wood working fashion using mortise and tennons, and very impressive woodworking skills (and the stains were very impressive as well). Im very confident Ill have these tables forever.I also loved working with the company. I liked that they are a small, family owned business. They were super helpful in giving me advice on picking things out, and the delivery of my tables was handled great. While we usually would rather give business to small, family owned business, we usually end up at big box retailers because of the value; however, this was the rare case for me where I was actually able to get BETTER value at a family owned business. That felt good to me.

Bought two large bookcases. Very happy with product, but wrote this review because of great service upon delivery. The bookcases were too big to fit up the stairway at my house, ended up bringing them in through second story porch. Delivery drivers had to wait for me and a work friend to come home from work to help get the bookcases up to second story. Looking for a mission-style media cabinet, I chose a model that worked for me and then researched it among several retailers that carried similar products. I chose Amish Furniture Direct since they offered the best combination of features (options, wood species, stain colors, hardware styles) and price. Duane was friendly & helpful with ordering stain samples and then placing the order for the cabinet itself. The time estimates for building & delivery were accurate, and when my cabinet arrived in perfect condition, I couldnt have been more satisfied! It was beautifully built and finished, & even the back is finished solid wood- I have not seen that in many years. Also, it was made in my home state of Indiana! I would highly recommend!

Everything is quality here. Sales staff and products are excellent. I am an experienced cabinet finisher and the coatings on these furniture pieces are top notch. Would highly recommend.

Sales staff were friendly and helped us find a quality dining room table and chairs. The guys delivering the furniture from DirectMover were friendly as well and were very careful bringing the table in and installing the table top to the base. I spent weeks shopping for a very specific dining table design. After failing to find it in any furniture stores or online sites, I discovered that I could configure exactly the table I wanted from Amish Furniture Direct. I exchanged numerous emails with a sales associate (Jared) who was extremely helpful, making great recommendations for colors/stains and chair models.We ordered a custom table with eight matching chairs (four dining chairs and four matched folding chairs for when we have company). It arrived this week and we couldnt be happier with the quality. Great do to business with these folks!

Unfortunately our experience wasnt as great as all these other reviews. This company initially worked very hard to make us happy but ultimately they ended up being dishonest with us and so for that I would not be able to give them any future business. We really love to support family owned companies and products made in the USA so this was disappointing to us. What I will say is if you go into the showroom and find a piece you like then you will get an amazing high quality product. If you decide to custom order something be warned that they dont really know how to order from their builder to ensure you get what you were expecting and what they told you they can deliver.In response to the owner. Your employee lied to our faces when we came in to see the table. We specifically asked if you sold the first table and he fumbled over his words and said, we had it taken care of. I thought that was weird and later compared the pictures I had of the first table and realized it was the same one. He could have been honest but he wasnt! Secondly, you did not meet or exceed our expectations because we made it VERY clear from day 1 we wanted the table to be smooth with NO holes or knots. The first table did not come that way because your employee did not know how to properly order the table with your builder. If you were honest, we would have been fine with you refinishing the 1st table but you originally told us it couldnt be done. The 2nd table was shaped like a bow tie, ridiculous. When ordering the 2nd table your employee asked if we wanted to add that the live edge be curvy like the first table. Sure why not, it measured 37 across in the middle and 42 at both ends. We ordered a bench, so theres no way everyone could comfortably sit at that table. Again, your employees dont know how to order with your builder. The reason we asked for a partial refund is because the table you gave us still has small holes and cracks in it and that is 100% not what we wanted. Ultimately you ended up saying the builder just cant fill everything. If you were knowledgeable about the products you sell custom ordered you could have told us from the very beginning that what we wanted isnt possible with wormy maple. So to summarize, making us happy did seem like an insurmountable task for you because you dont know what youre doing when it comes to custom orders.

We looked everywhere for high quality, solid wood furniture and this is the place to purchase it. All the furniture is hand made and fully customizable (wood, stain, hardware, etc...). Were very happy with our purchase.
