These guys are amazing. I was nervous about doing updates to my business computer due to years of work depending on my current system. I went to this location because their other location(Waterford) closed.And boy was I glad I did! I took them an old laptop(8 - 10 yrs old) with a number of problems(dvd was gone, battery wasnt charging, possible virus or malware). I left it with him for a few days, & when I went to pick it up he saidlisten theres nothing here that cant be fixed, but rather than do that; take the money & buy an external hard drive before you lose everything, then start shopping for a new laptop Who does that these days! There was no hard sell(now for $1000 you can get this little baby); no attitude(this is just a waste of my time, sound familiar?), just an honest assessment of what was wrong with it. I asked for some suggestions for a new one, & got them. I swear this store is a throwback to the sixties, or seventies(as you can tell Im an old guy)! I was shocked that stores like this still exist; or maybe that people like this still exist. A few years back, I brought in a Windows 7 laptop to be serviced on (it had a virus and I wanted it to be wiped clean so I could just start from scratch). Leo was able to do it and for a great price too! Just this past week, I brought that same laptop back in for an upgrade to Windows 10 along with a new digital driver installed. Leo is not only one of the most friendly people Ive come across, but hes hard working and dependable.Recently my laptop had issues with charging jack not really picking up a charge. My laptop is a Gigabyte P57, which is a hefty large machine. When other companies turned down working on it, because they didnt feel comfortable with the workload. Leo not only took on the task, but did cleaned up the inside of the laptop at a faster and cheaper rate than other companies.If you need computer work done please go to Startech, you will not be dissapointed.

Yesterday afternoon my computer fried. I took it into Startec and Leo diagnosed problem, apower supply surge with resulting electronics damage, and repaired it IN UNDER 1 DAY!! All this at a very reasonable price. Quality, Price. and Service, Startec provided me with all three. There are many shops closer than the 30-minute drive (non-rush hour) but I would not consider going elsewhere.

This is the only place we bring our computers. Leo goes above and beyond to get our computers back up and running. He also sells computers at reasonable prices and loads programs on for you. He is teaching me something new each time I go. Leo is honest with you with prices up front and makes suggestions for what to do. I was worried that my power supply had fried my parts and was unsure which to send to Corsair for a damage claim; Leo offered to help and gave me peace of mind by testing them individually.
