Stopped in a couple times on a hunt for the right piece of wood for our mantel. Very helpful/informative and patient staff! We ended up going in the reclaimed wood direction. They even referred us to another place to help direct me closer to my style for this project, even though they knew it may not lead to a sale for them that day. I would definetly come back for another project!

First time working on wood recently and I really enjoyed it. I came into Woodcraft as a rookie but Norm provided knowledge of an expert and gave a warm welcome into the arts of woodcraft. I cant thank him enough!

Its a nice place, lots of woodworking supplies. It is on the expensive side however. Thats not to say that they do not have good deals,if you sign up for their Ad,you will find some excellent sales. Their equipment is on the high end to very high end . Much of their power tools are out of reach (money wise) from hobbyist woodworkers. But their crew is nice and very helpful.

First time in and Im very pleased with the selection and service. Staff was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. They greeted me when I came in, asked how they could assist me and gave good advice when I went over my project with them. Very impressed overall.

Great place with a large variety of tools and everything you need to customize your carpentry projects.The employees here are very professional & experienced and will gladly answer most of your questions or concerns.I will be back soon for my next hard to find tool/products.

This place is awesome. Ive gone several times, and each time had a ton of questions. The staff is friendly and more than willing to help, which makes for a really comfortable experience for a newer wood worker like myself. They had answers for all of my questions, with plenty of suggestions and advice.

I was looking for templates of a Deer, Elk and Black Bear to make shadow cut outs.. They have an awesome selection to choose from, only downfall and the reason for only 4 stars instead of 5....they had to order it from their warehouse so I have to wait a few days... I will be returning tho!!!!

Have been to Woodcraft maybe five times Each time they never have inventory of festool sandpaper. Went again last week to buy orange stain for a project. They sold me yellow !!! And again no assortment of grits in the festool sandpaper. Salesman was totally clueless

Awesome store for woodworkers! They have EVERYTHING for a beginner all the way up to an experienced woodworker. I love that they carry moreof the exotic woods too. The store is super clean and well organized. Highly recommend!!

Every time I have a question regarding wood finishing I go to the Woodcraft store in Sterling Heights even though they are 20 miles from.my home. They have given me invaluable advice on my wood projects including my latest staining wood trim around my 14 brand new Andersen windows. The project is coming out just fantastic because of the service and product know how of these guys at Woodcraft.

The best people to deal with that I have found, helpful and pleasant to talk they get the job done.

Great store. Friendly and knowledgable staff. If you need a specialty tool for woodworking they have it or can get it. You can order online as well, but the personnel service is why I go. They answer all my questions and help me through my projects when needed with sound advice.

Very helpful and friendly employees, and they have all the stuff that Home Depot doesnt! Scroll saw and blades and pen making supplies for starters. And they were less expensive than Amazon! They also offer classes and there are free demos every Saturday at 1pm. Quite a large store too. I didnt get to see all of it. I will be going back.

Place is overpriced and having my wife go there is a joke. It’s a total bro-fest of old guys. Went here for a awhile, but found suppliers with much better pricing that will ship it to me. Not bad in a pinch and the guys working there know there stuff. It’s just like going to men’s only club, so it was a pain to have my wife go there who isn’t the quote “normal” looking lady.There was a time we were there and my wife was looking for something and the guy kept asking Me questions and I finally said I’m not the one looking for anything she is.They don’t know how to deal with people who aren’t men.

Great selection and helpful staff

I loved this store, bug now I own a lathe and i should buy stock in it. This location is convenient as i drive by it whenever I visit my dad. Depending on who is working you can either have a great experience or an aggrivating one, the experienced employees make it a wonderful place to buy and learn. The inexperienced make you want to go ANYWHERE ELSE. One other thing I would recommend is to check stock online before you head to the store.

Love getting my milk paint and sealer from here! Friendly staff who is always ready to help and answer any questions I have. They know their stuff.

I just found this store close to my home. When I first entered, I felt like a kid in a candy store with only pennies in my pocket. The prices are what you expect to pay anywhere else which was surprising in a specialty store like this. I liked that the employees were honest about not having hands on knowledge of the particular scroll saw I was after instead of trying to either sell me something else or claim knowledge they didnt have. I did have a negative customer service issue yesterday but hopefully it was an isolated incident. I would have rated 5 stars if it were not for that. Ill update this if anything changes.

Not the store it used to be. Hardly carry any woodworking tools such as carving knives like they used to. Only had one piece of Basswood. I was in and out five minutes. And way overpriced on everything.
