Well I took my car in for a check engine diagnostics for a P0133/P0420 and it took 2 days for a diagnostic, when I picked up my car I was told there was no problem with wiring, and that supposedly they read on an online forum that the only solution was to replace the cat with a factory cat and factory 02 cause both were malfunctioning, there wasn’t really a detailed explanation given to me as to what diagnostics were performed on the car/engine for example (reading, freeze frame data nothing), I asked if they could fix the car they replied with a why would you want us to that? Implying as if I could do it myself, I didn’t pursue the conversation and decided to go elsewhere for more detailed information.

I was referred to United Auto through a friend. So decided I to take my wifes 2007 Chevy Tahoe with 172k miles in to replace her oil pan gasket. They took care of it and I picked up our car the next day. Great customer service, very knowledgeable technicians, and quality work. It has been around two weeks and theres absolutely no drip on the driveway. Honest pricing and would highly recommend them for any work big or small. Make sure you call to make an appointment because they are busy. Right off El Dorado St. and easy to find. Just sucks theres very limited parking.

This is the only place we go - great family, great work ethic. It shows as theyre booked days in advance so give them a call. They pretty much handle anything and you can take my word for it - they do a damn good job. Special instructions? No problem.

Great honest mechanics you can trust. Recently had my alternator replaced by a different mechanic about a week ago, my check engine light came on when I got my vehicle back. Decided that I needed to go to another mechanic. Was referred to United Auto Repair by family and friends. The mechanics here found and repaired the issue and made it a very pleasant experience and very thorough. They earned my business going forward.

Call to get a quote for refilling my refrigerant in my air conditioning is the person who answered the phone was so nice and informative and told me everything that I would need to know prior to the service I left the conversation feeling like he really cared that I Knew What mattered about my car most men would not even bother to go to that kind of detail with a woman but I appreciated that it was really nice I definitely like this place and I will be going there to get it done

Hands down 10 stars!!! Bao, sirr, you saved our butts!! Mechanic heros here! So we drove to Stockton from utah, and thats when our fuel pump decided to go out on us. How terrifying being out of state, stranded and having to find an honest and affordable mechanic. Bao and Linh are the sweetest and took care of us!! Sooo blessed and they were the answer to our mechanical prayers! Our car was done the same day! Sooo relieved!

Very thorough. They looked at an issue that I was having with my car and found the best and least costly way of fixing it. This is the second time Ive been in and both times have been positive experiences.

2002 White SUV/UAR Bought/installed Used engine: Had 2 mechanics to choose from. After highly recommended n read reviews, chose United Auto Repair (UAR). Service- Courteous Honest and very informative. Work- Done in the Time said it would be done. After a week n half, runs very good. Any n All questions were honestly answered. 3 month warranty/6000 mi: IF anything changes, Will update. Although, I know IF anything happens, every effort is done by UAR to make it right. Ive taken multiple cars here for the smog event held at the fairgrounds for repairs. They do amazing work and have always managed to get my cars to pass. Well recommended shop and very professional work.

Got my truck serviced here and everything was great. I did have issues with my serpentine belt replacement but they stood behind theyre work and fixed the issue. Definitely going back, make sure you call first and make an appointment as it gets busy.

I’ve been to United Auto Repair twice, once for my breaks, and the other to get my oil changed. Both times I left really satisfied with the service and prices. I found them on line as one of the top rated automotive places in Stockton. When my headlight went out, they worked me in despite being fully booked, because the manager said, I wouldnt be able to sleep at night knowing you had a headlight out. They are friendly and professional. Make sure to schedule ahead. They are popular.

I went to this one place back when I had my Ford Focus 2012 (about 2years ago) for an oil change and about 4 days later I started hearing this rumbling sound in the engine so my parents (who take their cars to United Auto Repair all the time) suggested I take it here and they said oil somehow leaked into a different area and it would cost $450 to fix..but they did it. After that, I obviously started going here for my oil changes instead and they did a great job and in a timely manner too. I was going to do my oil changes myself but they charge just about the same amount it would take to it yourself so I may as well. One time they noticed my Fords tire pressure was getting low and they took care of it on the house! That was hella cool. Now, with my Dodge, Im still loyal to them and they continue to satisfy. Definitely recommend.

Ive been taking my vehicles here for, maybe, 10 years. I wouldnt trust ANY OTHER SHOP. When major things go wrong I know I dont have to wait hour trying to find the best deal. Always fair and most times least costly!!! I have a 2008 Lexus 460, 2007 Honda pilot 2001 Chevy Silverado n had a Saab. If someone else did the work its only cause I could get to you buddy!!! I was greeted by Bao when i first entered the shop.I was having a few issues with my car starting. His team walked me through the potential problems that could be wrong which was great because it gave me a better idea on how the inner mechanics of my car worked and what i had to do to fix my problem. They gave me a great quote so i decided to leave my car in their hands. When i picked it up, Bao explained to me everything they had done.Great prices and great customer service. I been going to United auto repair for about 5 years, when they had free smog check at the fairgrounds. I got introduced to the staff great people great customer service.

I paid to have my transmission filter and fluid changed by technicians (employees) at United Auto Repair. At the time of this service, my vehicle had 60,000. Less than 1 month later, around 60,600 miles, my transmission failed and had to be rebuilt. In my opinion, United Auto Repair caused my transmission failure, resulting in thousands of dollars of unnecessary repairs. I will never again use the services of United Auto Repair.Im still waiting on the Help you offered in your response. People dont be fool, I WOULDNT TAKE MY VEHICLE HERE!

Went to shop based on Yelp to get just a basic oil and filter change. Became a really huge mistake. Got home with my car smoking, opened up the hood and there was oil everywhere!!!! I now have a blown head gasket, and have to salvage my car. Really suggest not to go to United Auto Repair if they cant even get an oil change done correctly. FURIOUS!!!

This is one of the most honest and hard working shops i have been to.. Bao the manager is the coolest guy too...i work on my own cars 90% of the time but sometimes i need them to do the more complicated stuff...they have always treated me right and done a great job...i would not hesitate to bring any kind of vehicle here..they fix domestic, European and Japanese cars. They even work on Volvos which we refused to touch at my shop in Forest Hill...i could keep going on and on, but if you need your car fixed right then come here..this is Roger with the MDX if you read this Bao...lol

First 2 times here were great but the last was terrible. I paid $800 to get my oil leak fixed and it has ANOTHER oil leak and its only been a few months. Paid $200 for parts $500 for labor. Ive gave these people about 3000 total for work done and its wasnt good quality

I took my Nissan Altima in for several codes and Bao took care of the rest. Great and friendly service. Then I had to put some miles on it so everything would register. My vehicle took longer than usual to register so I just parked it. Then all of a sudden light off and ready for smog. I sent the wife in. Not knowing what she was doing Bao took care of her. O yeah and car passed thanks again guys. Ill be back with my next vehicle......💯% satisfied

Although I have a great mechanic, there are limitations. I took my 2000 Odyssey in based on YELP reviews. I had Oriellys run the diagnostic for free then went to an online forum for the real problem/solution. I had a # done on me, under the CAP program (different shop another issue) Upon entering UAC, I found friendly salutations. I went to the counter asked specifically for a Canister Vent Valve shut off assembly (I think I impressed them knowing my part, maybe not), appointment made, quote given. Got there for appt an hour late (no sweat or at least not that I detected -thank you) longer story short, price stayed the same, check engine light off, done earlier than expected after calling in to see eta.Will use in the future. Will recommend.Thank you.

I had to have my car towed in because it wouldnt even start. The mechanics here got it running in one day and I got a call immediately. The cost was more than fair.

Took my car there because it was shaking and the radio was out. They fixed it, said they redid all of my electrical. I got there as it closed and no sooner than I drive two blocks my radio goes out and my horn doesnt work. My check engine light went off again after they reset my censors, turns out my actual problem problem is my o2 censors. Biggest waste of money ever. They pretty much robbed me.

In December last year they told me I needed a new engine. Then they said I ran my car with no oil. They told me it would cost $5000 to replace my engine. After very little research I found out I had a recall on my engine and had it replaced for free by the dealer. In my past experiences with auto shops the managers at those shops would inform me of recalls related to my vehicle before trying to get me to pay $5000 just for an engine labor not included.

Im extremely happy that I did my research and found United Auto Repair to replace the alternator on my 2007 Lexus. I had made contact with Bao through their website and received a prompt response on the following business day first thing in the morning although I couldnt be reached by phone and he made sure to follow-up with an e-mail response with a quote. They were flexible with me getting my vehicle in as I needed to set up a tow, and provided a referral to a towing company if needed. When I showed up with my vehicle, Bao noted the problem I had with the vehicle leading up to it completely dying and took care of the claim with my service contract through AUL. Less than 24 hours later, Bao called to inform me that my car was ready for pick up and that the warranty company covered everything. The invoice reflected exactly what I was quoted and I left extremely happy to know that I could take any of my vehicles here and know I would receive quality service, and support a local family run business.

My wife and I, and our two dogs, were traveling from Boise, ID to the Central Coast of CA and were just outside of Stockton when all my dashboard warning lights came on simultaneously. Since we were not far from highway 99 and planning to stop forbreakfast I waited until arriving at the restaurant to use my iphone to investigate what might have caused all lights to go on at once. Seems like this is not uncommon for Mitsubishi Montero Sports of our vintage (98 with 187K miles) and it indicates a failing/failed alternator. Not wanting to take a chance on proceeding on (perhaps) battery power alone (one poster on the web indicated that he had run for months with the lights on) I searched using Google Maps for a Mitsubishi dealer in Stockton.No such luck - closest one was in Concord - miles, and miles away. I then searched for a nearby auto repair shop,As luck would have it I found that United Auto Repair was less than 4 miles away. Not knowing anything about them, or even if the alternator was the problem I called and described my dilemma. The shop manager (Bao) told me to come right in and they would diagnose the problem and if it was the alternator it would be no problem to fix it right away. He gave me directions and when I got there and parked to go inside the SUV would not restart to pull it into the bay. Bao jumped it and got it into the shop and work commenced immediately.The SUV was repaired in about an hour and a half (did need an alternator and a new battery) and the total charge was less than I had seen another poster on the web search had paid for the alternator alone.United Auto Repair is SPECTACULAR!. They were fast, friendly, and reasonably priced (remember I could have been easily overcharged since I was in transit, had really nowhere else to go since there was no local Mitsubishi dealership anywherenearby, and I was otherwise stranded). I have since recommend that my sister-in-law consider driving the sixty+ miles from her home to use United Auto Repair.
