Its small but neat and clean store. They sell complete items although some per item on the shelves. They have from fresh foods to frozen foods, ice creams, shampoo, soaps. Cute store with nice employees. The store closed on Sunday.

Nice little store full of all the Japanese goodies you cant really find anywhere else. From Senbei to Sencha, its a great place to go, and the staff are all very pleasant and helpful.

Love this store! I always visit it when Im in town. Im glad a store like this exist in Stockton. The have sushi grade fish. Seaweed, rolls, butter mochi, mochi, and groceries. If youre looking for ingredients for Japanese cuisine such as Bonito, potatoe starch, roe, etc. They have it here.

Whenever I walk into Sakura, Im almost instantly greeted with a cheerful hello. Sakura is my choice when looking for a quick home cooked food fix. Sakura has Bento, sushi and rice bowls to go, but get there early...they rarely last past lunchtime. Other traditional Japanese groceries and goods are available. A unique experience if youve never been in a Japanese Market (only one in town?-I think)

Went in store to get items to make sushi! Clerk was friendly and helpful! Showed me where all items were that I requested. Great customer service...will return when I need specific items! They were also well stocked!

They always greet with a warm welcome and are very helpful and polite. One time when I was checking out, the lady asked what I was using seaweed for, and told me I needed a different kind of seaweed for what I was doing. I didnt even ask for that advice, but it just goes to show how helpful they are there.

Love the cute tea sets and they have all the ingredients to make your own sushi.

Very nice employees and clean inside. Workers are welcoming, but you do have to order in advance to pick up your order. Otherwise you have to wait if you walk in. They dont deliver but food is made fresh after you put your order in. Tasteful not my favorite its worth trying for yourself very good variety menu items and good combination plates reasonable prices as well.

The most kawaii spot in Stockton.I like the Hello Kitty soy sauce. Also, the adorable maneki nekos (lucky cats) are a great gift choice. They are said to attract abundance.

What a wonderful shop! The staff are very welcoming and kind. They were very helpful in assisting us in finding everything that we needed. I was over the moon when I was able to purchase many fresh items that I cannot find online. They take great care in packaging up purchases, and when I told them how far we came, they even put a bag of ice in with our perishables to make sure that they would make the trip home safely. The shop is an hours drive from where we live, but we look forward to our next visit there!

Sakura is the only Japanese store in Stockton and Ive been coming here for many years since I was in high school. So many imported products from Japan and one of the things I loved the most is the variety of Asian snacks. I like trying different snacks and by far, the Calbee brand snack is my favorite! They have a variety of food products, tableware, kitchen items, and even fresh fish like Salmon. They used to sell freshly made California Roll or sushi thats packaged and placed near the cash register. Due to COVID, they no longer have fresh sushi for sale and was a bit sad about it. But overall, that staff are always super nice and helpful to customers if they needed assistance. So customers are required to wear masks prior to entering the store and they constantly keep everything sanitized and clean including the pens used to sign for the purchase if you use a credit card. I feel that Sakuras staff did a great job and I will continue to come back to the store for more snacks or drinks.

The only Japanese Grocery store in Stockton. Small l but has just about everything needed for authentic Japanese cuisine. Was pleasantly surprised at the deli foods like musubi, sushi and bento box lunch. Fresh ahi tuna is also readily available. Will be back.

The Sakura gift shop is a great, family-owned convenience store. Daily bento boxes and treats made by staff are set out for sale. In the fridges they have produce, fish and treats. They also offer gifts for friends and family, such as: cookware, charms and misc.The staff is always very polite and friendly! I LOVE Sakura!

Sakura has a great selection of authentic Japanese items, including a variety of unique dry and frozen ramen noodles! The customer service is wonderful! There are lots of snacks both sweet and salty varieties, rice, condiments, real miso paste and other wonderful cooking ingredients. Theres cute non-food items too and they make awesome California rolls and inari sushi as good as the ones I ate in Japan ^-^

What a wonderful store. Went and got kids the Mochi ice-cream and came out with a lot more. So many choices of great sweets and snacks.

First, this is the only Japanese store in the area. There are other Asian stores, but they do not carry wide variety of Japanese groceries, seeds, flatware, food and did I mention fresh sushi? The also have a small selection of clothing. If youre looking for Japanese tea or treats - this is the place to go. This is where I go when I am specifically looking for Japanese stuff without the toll booth or drive to the Bay Area. I would give them five stars if the store was bigger so they could carry more stuff.

Pretty good store. Nice atmosphere and reasonable prices (a majority of times, but some prices are a bit high). Pretty wide variety of items, given how small the store is. I was able to find what I needed every time, at least. Definitely worth a visit.

Kinda surprised to find this Japanese market in a random strip mall, but what a great selection of snacks. There were certain unique snack cakes and hard candies that even larger mitsuwa or nijiya markets dont carry. Nice
