What Lowes and HD wish theyd be when they grow up. CLEAN! Well stocked. Not haphazardly, randomly shelved. Actual good, informed help (will redirect you if they dont carry the product). You pay a bit more, but do so with a smile on your face.

The most uncomfortable shopping experience ever. Had a guy following me the entire time i had to literally tell him get off me i have money to pay for my purchase.

The young man who helped me with my questions was very kind and friendly and helpful. This Ace Hardware store is very clean and efficient.

Went in with my husband and 2 kids and had a young man following us the whole time. My husband was super upset and had to stop him from telling the kid to f off cause we definitely had money to buy what we needed but decided to take our business somewhere else.

A month or two ago, I wouldve given this Ace location 5 stars. The employees continue to be great, and I have found so many vital tools/fasteners/products here that cant be found at big box stores. As a local tradesperson, Im there a few times a week... sometimes multiple times a day.Thats why I was so disappointed to see the recent changes in the store -replacing the great wall of drilling and grinding tools with a huge, Diablo-branded merchandising section that was clearly designed for a big box store. There must be 1/4th or a 1/5th of the products now than there had been, which doesnt make any economic sense for the store owners. With shelf space at a premium, why would you choose to reduced your number of skus when you could cram the wall will diverse products of different brands? Thats the whole reason I come to this Ace location -for freedom of choice. All brands have different pros/cons... I might buy a Lennox hole saw bit, but prefer Irwin cobalt bits for smaller tasks. I want to be able to choose between Milwaukee, DeWalt, Stanley, Irwin, etc. not only be served the limited offering of associated Diablo tools. I cant tell you how many interesting bits and accessories Ive found on that wall that I would not have seen at the big orange or blue store... thats the beauty of a mom and pop hardware store! I want to see the freezer of handmade pies and the as seen on TV products near the checkout, I want to see unique specialty tools and supplies cramming the walls... next thing you know theyll get rid of the fastener aisle and put in a self-checkout kiosk. SMH

ACE Hardware is the best place to go to buy items for your yard, garden, bathrooms, paints and tools. There is a large variety of items to buy at Ace Hardware. The people who work there are so nice and very helpful!

Went to return a presure washer hose. that was the wrong size and they wouldnt take it.because it had scratches cause i unrolled it and it draged on concrete.when i was attempting to install it i tried spraying water with it and realized it was the wrong psi and took it off. but it hasnt even been a month.since i bought it and i work all day so i found time today to go just so they could tell me i couldnt return it. There was nothing wrong with the hose other than drag scratches and. A little water from trying it out. These hoses scratch really easily because of the material but other than that good working conditions

Ace is the place to show your face..... EVERYBODY working here is way to happy to be helpful. What the young people lack in knowledge, they more than make up for with inthusiasm and a genuine desire to be helpful. No desire to go anywhere else any more.

So disappointed cuz i buy here 2 to 3 times a week that I never spected this from the staff I bought 2 white spray cans yesterday I only use half of 1 so I came to EXCHANGE the one I didnt use for a different color only and they said it was used just cuz the cap was dirty on the inside so they give me no money back and no exchange plus they cudnt tell me why they thought it was use when I asked so whats wrong

When you go in they have a good selection of items, but its hard to get someone to help.This week I called 5 times to ask about an item before I went in. The first time I tried to call I let the phone ring 30 times and no one ever answered, I checked the number and it was correct. The next two times I called I was left on hold for over 15 minutes and no one ever came back on the line so I hung up. Two other times I called and during being transferred to someone else for help I was disconnected, and when I called back the girl who transferred me said to the guy who was taking my call that I had hung up while being transferred. That was totally untrue, she cut me off.I gave up, went online to Home Depot ordered what I needed and set it up to pick-up the next day all while waiting on hold for someone at this ACE store. That is pretty frustrating for a customer, and doesnt say much for the staff or the one girl who answers the phone as it was the same one each time I called.I may go in and buy things in the future, but only if I know where they are and dont need any help from the employees. I wont be calling them again, thats for sure, their customer service is dreadful. I did finally speak to a guy named Arturo and he was very nice and helpful, but I wasted a lot of time before I got any help and was put through to him.

This store is small and quant, I like how personal it feels, and how organized it is. The employees are very friendly and helpful, if you cant find it, they will and if you are not sure what your looking for, they can definitely point you in the right direction. I have been using this store for many years and have seen some employee changes, all for the good. I have never been disappointed coming to this store.

I will no longer shop there. Some of the staff was very unprofessional and rude. Was talking with other staff member that I have talked to many times and we were joking it she had a problem with it she was very unprofessional and apparently you dont need my business anymore to have people like that working for you.my suggestion to anybody is go to another store with people who want to help you and appreciate your business and treat you like a customer and are not rude

Just amazing store

I went in looking for a replacement spool for my yard trimmer. I had no idea what I needed exactly. All I had was the old spool from the machine but the staff was helpful and were able to pinpoint the type and width and I was able to get what I needed and head home in no time. Thanx everyone for the assistance.

Ace has nuts, bolts, and such that are not carried at its competitors. Besides, Ace has it all: from cleaning, to paints; glass (and they cut it); snacks; gardening; and I could wander around here for hours and shop. Thumbs up!

I went into this Ace Hardware store because my experience with Ace Hardware in other locations has always been top-notch, the staff are always knowledgeable and extremely helpful - and this store is among the best. I went in to see if they had something I could use for shims to secure a new basket for my bike handlebars. The parts that came with the basket were useless. Well they just went into the back of the store and came out with some sections of a rubber hose that they split open and cut to length and - voila!! it was just exactly what I needed and it works great. And no charge!! Just good neighbors being helpful. Well this to me is the way to make the world a better place. Im very thankful for your help guys. Keep on keeping on just this way.

Bought multiple stihl products from fremont ace hardware in stockton...my most recent purchase being a 271 farm boss chainsaw. With less than 10 tanks of gas ran through it, my chainsaw breaks down. No problem i have the 2 yr. extra cost warranty. Upon returning to the store a week after i dropped off the saw, i was told i ran bad gas through it. Ive done tree work for 10 years solid and multiple pieces of equipment have used my bad gas. I highly recommend never buying stihl products from here as they use the oldest trick in the book to try to screw you put off more money.
