Great selection of groceries meats and the best Mexican food
Definitely a busy store. Parking is always horrible too. But the food is delicious. Although their pan dulce is a little pricey for my taste (theyre good but get expensive). Go early if you plan on getting carnitas! They usually have specials so its gone fast.
Alright,IT NEEDS TO BE BIGGER, that being said their food and mexican pastries are awesome, puerqitos made fresh in the mornings, the only place I have ever eaten tamales other than my mothers and mine. They have definently improved their carnitas, that is untill they lose or change their staff come here for the food dont stay for the long lines and battle with people in a rush.
Great food and service but place is way to small and always crowded. I would give it 5 star but people are literally standing to close. No social distancing
This store is busy, which is a good thing. Mexican bread was stocked with alot of goodies.
A little pricey but this is the perfect store to go to when you need everything and running late. Hardly have to wait in line. They sell good food too. I like their fresh homemade waters.
This place has the best To Go Mexican food! The pork tamales are to die for. Their fresh raw meats are good too and fairly priced. I love this place. The only thing is it gets very crowded since its a small place. But highly worth the mission.
Awesome store. Food is delicious. They reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is because this place is so small and crowded. Its so annoying!
The highest quality tacorea in the city of Stockton. Many choices including dinners, catering platters, dfancy deserts and beverages. Also connected to a butcher shop and market. A bit crowded at times, but worthwhile to get your food here.
The meat market is really good! You have to try the marinated boneless chicken breast. Mmmmm I get it every time. Best Ive had!
Would give them 5 stars, but the parking there is horrible. If your lucky enough, youll get to park around the corner. Other than that, the place is excellent.
If I could give them 0stars I would. I had a party Sunday I paid for my order Saturday was there to pick it up at 4 an HOUR b4 my party. I hand them the order slip an they just keep looking at it like its going to change turns out They lost my order so had to get something else on top of having me wait there a whole hour. Communication is bad & they didnt even try to rectify the situation. FIRST AN LAST TIME GOING HERE !!
Store is great only downer is the parking theres not much and it so hard to find street parking but they sell delicious food
Very very very small. You can even smell what shampoo used the person next to you. There is not a safe distance. Kind of dirty. The food is good tho. !!
Place is a little to small for all they have to offer.. beef soup is so good will continue to come here for all my Mexican food
The food here is super delicious 😋😋😋yummy yummy
I just drove thru sorry idk
Itvwas a nice place, very clean and moderate prices
I love the bread
Horrible parking and small business
Love there pan dulce and tamales
Best place to shop for any needs you might have food is great. The atmosphere is pleasant Christian owned. Bakery products are a must so delicious
The place is super small but the food is awesome
Was my first time visiting the store, I heard about it from a co-worker who said they had great carne asada meat and at a good price. Truth be told it lived up to the expectation absolutely great meat for grilling. Only complaint I had is that the store is super small for the amount of customers they have. It was hard looking around the store cause its really crowded. I dont know if its always like that but I went on Sunday at noon and it was packed.
I like that every time I go there its always clean and the personal is very helpful and professional
Best carnicería in town. Kitchen is amazing, service is quick, meat is high quality, bread selection is dope, and you have to get their guac-salsa (not the guacamole which is good too). Parking and space inside are not the best but oh well. This is Stockton you’ll find street parking closer than if you were to park your car at target. Highly recommend.
This place is always packed its to small and no socal distance! All the money they make they should stop being CHEAP BY A BIGGER PLACE!
Great burritos and carnitas
Fresh bread carnitas birrote bread all same place...yesss
Be patient with finding a parking spot small place but everything that they make is delicious well worth the wait
I simply love La Tapatia Market. If youre planning a barbecue, I highly suggest stopping here. They have a wide variety of meats and authentic Mexican food. While the place is small and usually packed with customers, I have to say that it has a lively ambiance. If youre just stopping by and dont know what to order, I highly recommend their mole.
Small place but Loya of great options! People are very kind and you can find yummy hot food and many Mexican favorites. It’s our go to in Stockton!
Need more space en the parking lot
One of my favorite places. The food is very good and The pastries are great. Ill always be a customer here.
My new favorite. The best pan dulce I have ever had. Drove across town to try it. This gem does not disappoint.
Ok here it goes now please dont take it personal i dont want to offend anybody, just expressing my visit, this store has great food but very over crowed were you feel like your in a bumper car and if dont speak spanish to say opps sorry, excuse me then you get treated diffrent by the girls that work there, ok for the lady in back taking your order please learn to understand ENGLISH not all of us speak spanish, it just frustrate me when i get home to eat what i order and it all wrong then i have to drive all the way back there and do the bumber car thing in the store and parking is horrible. All that money the owner make ( GET A BIGGER STORE ) DONT BE CHEAP
Very crowded long lines good food
Store was way to crowded Not good right now with this Covid 19 going on there needs to be a limit amount of people in the store at a time.
Nice clean store has the best Mexican food and products offers meat deli and has delicious meat cuts and has exelent prepared foods like birria caldo de res fried fish carnitas chicken soup and rostisier chicken its excellent and they sell delicious tamales made daily
La Tapatia Market is a very good store its on the way when I visit a friend Eduardo Garcia rest in peace
They have the Best Tamales in Town
Good
Not enough parking. Always messy, dirty customer service is horrible.
Not enough parking 🅿️ or space inside the store
There jell-os are hella good
Excellent service and quality
Always busy hard to get around not enough space to narrow food was good
Geat place to shop but most of the time there is too much people. Also the parking lot is always full . The food there is tasty and the butchers are nice people. Its a nice little place but needs to expand.
No parking! You have to walk a block or more to get to the store. They never have sales. Long, long lines to pay. The food is great.
Super cramped. Theres multiple lines that over lap for the hot food, the meat area and check out. If your in a hurry go to La Superior down the street.
Where else can you do a one all stop and get a lunch for under $5? And it tasted great!!! Three tacos, natural coconut drink and a flan! Deliciousness at its best. Everyone was extremely pleasant as well.
Good FOOD 🗯
Great food and Mexican bread... :)
Pretty good store and staff only draw back its pretty small otherwise good
Thats my store right there. Love the pan dulce
I love their food and great prices. Its all good.
Beautiful little Mexican store. Very friendly people. We love going there since they have all authentic Mexican food ready to eat. Also they carry most Mexican ingredients used for cooking traditional Mexican food.
Best tamales Ive had. Moist and a fair amount of meat inside.
Nicest, friendliest group Ive ever encountered.
This place is awesome. I usually get a couple pounds of chili verde. The carnitas is two pounds for the price of one! They have a complete meat section. A bakery. BBQ. Tons of drinks. So much packed in here. Its kind of small always busy and small parking lot...park in the street or across the street be careful crossing. This place is so good I travel many miles to get there.
Really good Mexican products and meat market, but hard to park in their parking lot, and kinda congested in the store
Excellent food as always!!!
PARKING IS HORRIBLE!!! The bread selection is somewhat limited but the prepared food is fresh and delicious, especially the carnitas and the tamales. The meat market has very fresh product.
They never open on time
Food is amazing. But its way too small. I honestly hate going in there for that reason. If it was bigger it would be great. But theres never any parking and the line is always 6 years long. You cannot walk through without bumping into 20 people
LOVE this place! Packed most of the time but thats because pretty much everything there is amazing and the people there are great as well!Updating my review the lady in the kitchen area was so frikin rude just because I ordered 24 tamales 3 of them cheese and they rest chicken. She rolls her eyes didnt even give me something to hold the extremely hot tamales on and come to find out she gave me 12 chicken and 12 cheese (which were nasty) so 12 of them went to waste. I have not been there for months. If I go back and shes still there ill never go back there.
Had the Chile Verde..gave me the squirts..it was good though..but I dont think Im going back
Always good hot food alot of selections and they have pan dolce mmm.
Its always so packed, but I could see why. Everything they sell is delicious. Mmm muy rico el pan dolce. 😋
Great family meal deal! So much food for so little price. Friendly/helpful staff.
Everything is good in this place, only very small and gets really crowded and very limited parking.
Not sure whats all the fuzz about this place it just your average mexican store hot food is ok except the bread is ok to not the greatest wouldnt buy meats there though just my personal preference that store is just a big headache to walk into when its packed...for real good mexican bread i go to bakery mejia which is almost half a block towards filbert from there, its between the chinese restaurant and that ice cream place for good quality mexican and american cuts i go to Alegria meat market which is on flibert and fremont st next to little caesars...overall la tapatia is ok not the greatest but also not the worst, besides how crowded it gets
Great local grocery store. A little on the expensive end, bit if you watch your sale adds, and catch extra discount on tues. or wed., it good. Great customer service. Store is clean. The have a full deli, meat counter. bakery, and you can also get tacos, burritos (full menu items), etc. The store has check cashing and money orders, etc. There is a spanish speaking payday or short term loan center next door.Dont worry althoigh it is an ethnic store, they speak english and spanish, and offera full grocer stockof both mexican ane american geoceries.
Good food and Mexican sweet bread. But very small and hard to get around people when its busy. Otherwise muy bueno on all food there. Like the rice and asada tacos are good. They gave us lots cilantro and lime.
Fantastic MoneyGram payment service available. Limited parking around back. Very good bakery. My Chile Rellenos were just reheated, and price was higher than price that was posted. Outdoor picnic tables available. Excellent selection of sodas and energy drinks. Overall, friendly service. Definitely worth checking out if youre on this side of Stockton.
If youre looking for the freshest best tasting Carne Asada anywhere La Tapatia is unrivaled. Check it out for yourself...
Kitchen has really good food. I am rating 3 stars because store its over crowded
Fresh meat, fresh produce, Fresh Bakery products. Beer,
Crowded and never a parking space
La Tapatia Market offers fresh produce, and fast service for customers.
Its amazing but I didnt go today
Good food ready to go, expect a wait but its worth it.
I just love the pineapple pastries and the chocolate flan theyre delicious and this is the only store that makes him just right
Love the store and prices but a bit small but its worth it
Very small store, too crowded but its amazing that you will find anything there
Love it,but so busy. Cant even walk around inside they need to get a bigger location.
It is ALWAYS packed with people but the food is delicious
No many items to select from ok for csrnitas, refried beans etckindbof cold people nobody smiles in there
Love the place, hate the parking. Prices are good, food is delicious. These people have so many customers, they need a much bigger location.
Good place to cash checks an buy food but always bu sy need new location
My favorite place to shop hands down!!! Love the friendly people, Great food and Delicious Mexican Sweet Bread!!! I Love This Place!!!
Great place to pick up groceries and dinner for my bachelor life!
Always seems to be overcrowded, not so polite employees, very limited parking space. Overall ill give this place 3 stars
Good Mexican food. And groceries.
Awesome food! Rice and beans are excellent. Carnitas are great and they have a buy a pound, get a pound deal. Bakery is awesome...great cheesecake and authentic Tres Leches...literally swimming in milk. Only downside is that its ALWAYS PACKED! Go after 5 or n weekends and youre standing in long lines to all departments (Bakery, hot food, carniceria, checkout)
Ok service it was nice but it seams it busy
