One of my favorite ice cream stores, though it’s a 30-40 min drive from Hartford it’s worth it. Their ice creams are delicious.

They have cows right there and everything is super fresh. Everytime I visit my former college I have to stop here.This time I went with the Icecream Nachos. What are Icecream Nachos you ask??? Well they say a picture is worth a thousand words so I took one and will let the picture do the talking. Seriously though its basically a broken waffle cone with 3 scoops and a bunch of toppings plus whipped cream and finished off with a cherry on top. I had a bit of a sugar coma upon eating it but it was well worth it.If you ever get a chance to come to UConn please do. Its a beautiful campus to walk around. And once you work up an appetite there are so many amazing college food experiences to try. But of course no trip is complete without a stop at the Dairy Bar. I visited UCONN dairy bar along with my family. I have been going there for years. They make their own ice cream and no matter what flavor you choose, it is totally delicious!!! You might have to wait in line for a few minutes but trust me, its a very popular spot and totally worth any wait you have. Very efficient staff and just a great place to go for ice cream with the family. They have outside tables and benches so you dont just have to get your order and leave. You can sit down outside and talk all the time you want. I am willing to bet that if you go there, you will return many times as I have and will go back there many more times in the future!!!

Nice chocolate ice cream if you don’t like it very sweet! Blueberry cheesecake is very very sweet and yummy! Nice trek to get good view of the farm animals close by, very well maintained!

The place was packed - lines out the door. I will say they have a very efficient way to get customers through. I would have given a better score, however the portions have shrunk greatly and the outside trash overflowed everywhere. Of course this attracted bees - just generally unpleasant to be there.

Ive heard a ton about this Dairy Bar and today was the first time I walked through the doors. To my surprise, I indulged in what I would describe as heavenly delicious ice cream - especially on a hot and humid summer afternoon. Great views of Horsebarn hill and plenty of outdoor picnic tables to enjoy your ice cream at. They also offer a wide variety of to go options such as gallons of ice cream and ice cream cakes.

Mindbogglingly good! I absolutely love UConn Dairy Bars ice cream. They have a wide selection of ice cream flavors, of which my all-time favourites are Chocolate Brownie Fudge and Coffee Espresso Crunch. Milkshake as well as ice cream soda, float, cake are also available. There is also a UConn Diary Bar Ice Cream Truck that is parked by the library located in the centre of the campus, making it very convenient to grab your sweet treat before or after lecture.

Some of the best ice cream in eastern Connecticut. Made on-site at the UConn campus. Lots of flavors, some seasonal, and different toppings available. Portions are generous and its a thick and flavorful creamery style of ice cream. Very rich. Its still open for curbside pickup (this review written during pandemic) and is definitely worth a stop if youre near University of Connecticut and enjoy ice cream.

The best ice cream in the state! Everything is made at UConn. They also have ice cream cakes, cupcakes, slices, and containers of their ice cream for you to take home as well. They are constantly updating their flavors and have themed ones. Everything they make is good and their milkshakes are unlike any other. If youre in the area and hankering for ice cream this should definitely be your top choice.

Best ice cream place out there! I first tried the ice cream here when I was seven and immediately determined that I would be attending UConn for college (because of the ice cream), and I did! It was out of state but the ice cream made the extra tuition worth it! I came here loyally as a student and still find time to visit as an alumni. The ice cream is creamy, sweet, perfect, and to top it all off actually affordable compared to most ice cream places. I would suggest coming here even if you have to drive long distance or wait in a line, its worth it every time!

Went here last fall while driving back from a day trip. It was good. There were a lot of people, mostly college students, but the line move very quickly. The staff was great.

This was my 1st visit to the dairy bar. I experienced a friendly and helpful staff. The cashier let me know there go to flavors by customers. Coconut being one of them. I must say it was Delicious! I also tried their Maple Walnut it was great as well. Very fresh. Ill be back soon

Loved the ice cream!

Ordered our ice cream at 5:10, got a confirmation email saying we placed the order 40 minutes later even though we placed it before 5:30. After waiting an hour for ice cream their closed sign came on and we were told our order never processed. Lady inside was nice enough to help with getting a refund, but waiting an hour for ice cream is ridiculous even during a pandemic when every other restaurant in the area doesnt have the wait times. We were the only people there starting at 5:00 so there was no reason for the order to take 40 minutes to process and have no alternative to getting an order or getting in contact with the store.

I absolutely love the Dairy Bar! A must see if you are in the area! The ice cream is so rich and is made from cream from the cows on campus. Its a cute little shop and after we ate our huge scoops we went for a scenic walk around the area to see the cows and a great view of the UConn campus. Great way to burn off the calories :) The girl who did my ice cream was super personable. I suggest the banana chocolate chip!

This place is good if you like bars but arent old enough to go to real ones. The dairy one is a good alternative. You can really taste the fresh cowness in this pure cream creation. I give it 8/10 dry hay bails

Good New England ice cream! I suffered through 10 years of living in Georgia. Its wonderful to be back where ice cream is worth eating.Flavors change for the season but they keep some standbys. You can buy half gallons for $8 - give 24 hours notice and theyll pack any flavor you want!
