I knew the brakes and the electrical brake system service were more than likely to be a significant amount of money to repair, so I figured I would take my 2500 HD to Conant as they had a good reputation. I wanted the job done right the first time with no take backs. They did not disappoint. An added bonus was the professionalism and friendliness of everyone I encountered.

Excellent Service! Excellent Communication! I live an 1 1/2 hours away from Stoughton. Was passing through town on Sunday and vehicle started making a very loud grinding noise in the rear. Was able to get to Conant, filled out their service ticket and left my keys in the drop box. Had an email at 6:57am the next morning that they had checked in the vehicle. Received a phone call by 9am with diagnosis and different options to fit my budget. Vehicle was ready to go by noon the next day. I felt they were very transparent, not pushy and appreciated them giving me options and fully explaining the pros and cons of each option. Highly recommend this place and if I lived closer I would use their services all the time!

When I met my wife, she drove a Volkswagen. I married her anyway. This meant we needed a better than average shop to help us with the special needs of this check engine light on wheels. Fortunately we found Conant and with their low prices and fast service, we will be able to save up for a Chevy for my wife to drive before our next anniversary.

AC PROBLEMS. TOOK THEM A BIT TO FIND ISSUE, BUT ONCE THEY DID THEY WERE ABLE TO FIX THE PROBLEM. ALWAYS NICE, BUT TOOK LONGER THAN EXPECTED AND DIDNT COMMUNICATE UPDATES VERY WELL. OVERALL THE WORK GOT DONE .

I live in Deforest, and previously in Mt Horeb, and I still chose to come to Stoughton for Conant Automotive. My family has been going to them for many years with multiple vehicles, and we have had overall satisfactory experiences. This most recent visit, I dropped my vehicle off at 8:30 am, after a 24 hour EMT shift, for a simple oil change and replacement of the air filter. On a typical day, I can expect to pick up my vehicle as early as 11 am until around 1pm. I go to my mothers house in Stoughton to hang around until my vehicle is done. 2 pm came and so I called to check the status of my vehicle. I was informed it was being worked on as we spoke. 4 pm then comes and so I went in because I figured it was either done or almost done. I was told that my vehicle had not even been touched yet and it would still be another 45 minutes to and hour. After dropping off my vehicle at 8:30 am, I did not pick it up until 5 pm, and my air filter wasnt even changed. It was a very frustrating experience and I did not receive even a simple apology for how long the service took. I had things I couldve done that day back home but it was spent waiting around in Stoughton for over 8 hours for a simple oil change. I understand completely that businesses can get busy but the lack of communication and sympathy was rather disappointing. It felt as though I were a low priority and I was getting skipped over for other vehicles.I think that, at minimum, a simple phone call explaining that the business is busy and my vehicle will take longer to service would be appreciated. I also think that there should be official appointments, not just drop it off in the morning and well get to it at some point. Or perhaps a queue online where you can see you are X number in line so you can plan around your service and not essentially waste a day wondering when your vehicle is going to be done. I know this was one bad experience after many good ones, but I know that Conant is getting busier and busier as their business grows and becomes more successful, and with my job and where I live, I am considering going somewhere else when I need an oil change. If I need more service than that, I may consider coming back.

Friendly, Courteous and timely. Never had a problem with quality of work. Put it to you this way...theyre booked out 2-3 days for oil change and tire rotation. They are closed on weekends and that sucks but its a good thing because as the sign on the door says Family Time is how weekends should be spent.

I had the serpentine belt on my car break as I was driving by Conant. I was able to pull in and they were able to replace the belt that day. I had my car back the next day. The communication from the front desk staff was excellent and I couldnt be more pleased.

Once I was checked in, I had a link sent to my phone where I could see the progress and had the ability to call, email, or text within the app if I had any questions about the process. If there was any change of cost or part that needed to be replaced. I received a quick phone call as well as estimated completion time. They also cleaned and sanitized the inside of the car as well. Absolutely top notch service and it was a pleasure to have conversation with the personnel while waiting to receive my keys for pickup. I recommend Conant to anyone who needs their car serviced.

Wow, just wow! I had heard so many good things about Conant Automotive, but never had the chance to take my car there till just last week. What an amazing operation! From the moment I spoke with Joe Conant to all my communication with his front line customer service rep Brandon, it was top class service. I had had a dealer give me an estimate of over $1,800 to repair just an AC issue. But Conant installed four new rotors and four brake pads and fixed my AC issue for just $1,400. It was like getting my AC fixed for free!!! :) Cant say enough good things about this business! Be safe, be sure, be treated fairly -- and get your vehicle fixed right at Conant Automotive! I took it to Conant, had them verify the items and then quote a price to repair, which included a few more goodies, and that price was 40%, yes 40% lower than the dealership price. From Brandon, the service rep, to their service techs to Joe, the owner, this place is THE BEST place to take your vehicle. Everything went great for the maintenance of our vehicle...from the time I walked in to schedule the work, while I was there waiting for the work, and the interactions with Brandon and Joe. The work was done in a timely manner. I would only offer one suggestion... the use of paper or plastic covers for the drivers seat, floor mat, and steering wheel from the time the tech gets the vehicle and through completion. I would recommend Conant Automotive without reservation.

Overall I was very pleased with the service however I had requested when they returned my car to park it in the street and lock it up. They parked it in the street as requested but they did not lock it up. I did not discover that until two hours later. Not happy about that part! I was told they would text me and let me know when they delivered the car and I never received a text. Communication gaps our apparent here.

Do not recommendI made an appointment for an oil change and I was told the oil change would be $50 because of the make of my car. The oil change took more than 45 minutes and cost $80.

Long story short. Tried to get skid steer tires from them, had several phone conversations and they never returned my call with a quote. Bought the tires online and had them change them. They had previously put a tube in one of my tires twice. One tube failed with less than 2 hours of operation. The second was only used for 5 hours before the tires were replaced. When I picked up the replaced tires I was told the tube was the wrong size. When I told Joe that they put both tubes in, I got a stupid look and an explanation that someone must have pulled the wrong tube off the shelf. Those cost me $125.

I felt compelled to write a review for Conant because if you havent been to a car repair place before, you always wonder if they are transparent, honest and do good work. If you havent been here before and are considering, I would say stop right there, and do not look at another place. They are completely honest (even at the detriment of having to work on my car for more than 13 hours making no money) because of something that went wrong after a little less than a year of them working on it previously. Im quite sure it wasnt their fault, but they fixed my car again anyway with no charge because it was under warranty. Havent been driving as much but still took the car in for an annual oil change. I let them know that I noticed a pool of yellow lubricant on my garage floor after taking the car in for the oil change. On checking they found the 14 year old AC compressor was bad. Got the estimate and left the car there for a couple of days until they could schedule the work. May seem strange to repair AC during the winter but now the windows no longer fog up! Always good, thorough work and fair prices.
