Im remarking specifically on the website stating products are in stock, but not being there when I arrive. Their excuse, no matter how often it happens, is that the few minutes it took for me to arrive, someone else has come and picked it up. Once.. maybe twice, this is a possibility, but this has been a frequent issue here, and for products not considered particularly popular. It makes it difficult for customers to be sure the items they are looking for will be there, or be forced to waste a trip. This shouldnt happen, especially in our current world of covid..
This used to be my favorite Walmart. The staff used to be friendly. The company has all together gone down hill. They dont care about their employees or customers. There is 0-1 cashiers. Your choices are to wait in a very long line to check yourself out, or you wait in a long line to be checked out. The staff arent paid wages worth of dignity despite the work they do every day. Keep your employees happy, keep your customers happy and everyone wins. Ive had enough of capitalism and the only ones able make better changes for this country/humanity are big cooperations like Walmart.
Walmart use to be great but lately who ever is the op manager needs to be reviewed most items are never in stock rearranging the store Its to the point that it makes no sense come on now if Im looking for epoxy Im going to hardware or automotive not arts and crafts This isnt rocket science If dont change things to make it more convenient for the employees just to confuse the consumer this is not how you run a business
Employees at self checkout were very helpful. When I order for pick up the employees loading the groceries are courteous and quick. Often the store is under stocked, even when they are not remodeling.
This review is not about the employees, service or merchandise. This is about delivery accessibility only.If youre a delivery driver, this is the worst Walmart you will ever deliver to. No truck turn around, narrow lanes in and out and a one way exit forcing you away from your route. Very disappointed in the designers of this location. If I were corporate, Id make them hammer up the entire delivery area and try again. Ridiculous!
Well this time Walmart had everything on my list. Good job, I am very excited that it was all there. My daughter and son -in-law are moving so it really helped having everything right there and not out of stock.
Still need face covering but it seems 2 p.m. is a really quick in and out time to shop.Store personnel is very helpful and knowledge of product location when you cant find what you are looking for.
They had most of what I needed for canning supplies... Could have used some more jars... But I understand they are in high demand these days.
Not WalMarts are the same! This one was arranged differently and has small town charm. Take a trip and enjoy for yourself.
Not consistent with reordering products! Just weird times for shipments I guess. Lets hope thats it?
I went here with my fiance to find something in particular and ended up buying more because the selection is great. Unfortunately, we were racially profiled at the checkout. I overheard the employee at the self checkout say ok (to whoever was in her ear) and she stopped what she was doing and stood there staring at us. It was so obvious, uncomfortable and disgusting. She herself, was nice. SHAME on whoever was on the other end of that earpiece. Ill be back for the selection and next time Im calling them out on that behavior.
Great employees that do their best to keep shelves stocked and help out whenever they can. Only negative that I can say is that they do not have enough registers open when the busy times are.
Its Walmart.New to me, it is in Stoughton WI. Wasnt there 6 years ago.Laid out like most others. Nice 😁
Best experience Ive had at a Walmart in a while. Asked an employee where something was, gentleman was very nice and helpful to our experience. Showed us exactly where what we needed was. Wally world mission complete!
Was awoken in my hotel room before 5am due to maintenance and construction crews beginning their work on the Walmart parking lot. What a great way to the day Walmart!
Come on walmart, you cant just have one registor open and have the rest self checkout. I am fine with self checkout but not everyone understands how to use self checkout, ecspecially an elderly person. I had to help this poor man with 1 item because the line was so long at the regular checkout. He was old and was so upset. I am not even an employee but there was noone around to help him
Walmart is bad . One register open 5:30 at night . Went through self check out and wanted to at by Check. Sorry sir you’ll have to go through the only register we have open, you can’t write a check in self check out ! Now I own a buisness if I treated my customer like that I wouldn’t have any to work for. I’m done with Walmart !! Makes me sick to even walk in there . Support small buisness! ! F - - - Joe Biden and Walmart !!!
Sad. No employees. Horrible wait time in deli. This store is absolutely managed porely and last resort shopping. Expect to be annoyed. HORRIBLE WALMART
The staff was very helpful and tried their best but they did not have the product that I needed which was a pretty basic over the counter drug or inducing vomiting
Nice staff and items seemed to be stocked everytime Im there.
I called ahead to see if they had an item that I was looking for. I had stopped @ 3-4 other Walmart locations w/o success this week. The service desk had a kind employee look for it and hold it at the service desk for me. It was something that my girlfriend needs, while she has cancer. I cannot say enough good about the Customer service! Well worth the 35 mile drive! Thank you!
Nothing is ever stocked. No one is happy to work there. No one is helpful. Employees stand around talking to each other then get annoyed when you ask for help. The only reason I shop there is bc its my only option in town. Personally I think all Wal-Marts should close down. If I could give it no stars I would!
Kat in sporting goods is absolutely useless. She would rather play on her phone than work; I know, what a concept to actually have to help customers while working. Management seems to just kind of let her do whatever she wants and there are no repercussions. Maybe an overhaul from regional is needed, assess what is going on and check inventory.
This was one of the worst experiences Ive had in a WalMart before, and I used to work for them. I was in today 08-19-21 at around 645am. I came in through the doors by the pharmacy. Seen an older gentleman and asked him if he could help me find someone to get me some stamps. He proceeded to look around, found someone asked if they had a radio & she didnt. He then asked me to do more shopping and come back. I did. On my way back I saw a lady watching over the self checkout near the deli end. She was talking to another associate as I approached. I stood there for at least a minute while they talked and ignored me. Finally I asked if she could help me with stamps. She asked if I had anything else to buy, I said yes, but my husband was checking our items out down at the other self checkout, and is more than likely waiting for me at the car. She said well I cant leave here and if you dont have anything to buy I cant sell you stamps. I said, you cant help me? She said no, I cant leave here and if you dont have anything to buy, I cant sell you stamps. She didnt offer to call someone else to help, or figure out another way to help me, she just refused to help and refused to sell me stamps since I didnt have anything else to buy. I told her ok, thats fine, Ill just go to Walgreens and buy my stamps. This is very poor customer service. Her name badge was turned around, so I dont know her name, but I know based on the color of it, she has been there for several years and should know better customer service than this. Lazy and very unhelpful.
They were doing a remodel on the whole store. Looks nice
Ive had better than average experiences with their curbside pickup over the last year and before I stopped going into the store, I remember it always being cleaner and better organized than other Walmarts. Granted, it is newer and smaller. But it was always a pleasant experience and that extended to this last year of grocery pickup.
One of the cleanest Walmarts Ive been in. Very organized and friendly
Employees are extremely rude. I would recommend shopping anywhere else. Too bad because other Walmart’s I have had good experience.
Walmart is pretty good, but is often over staffed with workers always being in the way in aisles.
The Stoughton WI Walmart is the cleanest and well stocked within 50 miles. It also has at least 12 scooters in good repair. The staff are friendly and willing to assist with anything. Its my favorite and I prefer it to any of the others.
Been using their curbside pick up for a while now. Using the app is easy, substations are good. Best to pick up at the beginning of your time slot, otherwise it can take a while because of the amount of people.
This was our first time there and we will certainly be back. Cool interior, great beer selection, and friendly staff!
As the only Walmart in town, theres no real contender.Staff are decently friendly, and the place is well organized and cleanly, but Im giving it a 4 because compared to other Walmarts in Madison, this one has much less variety of products, and there are never any storage boxes.
Believe it or not it was my first trip to Walmart in 8 months its worse than ever nothing in stock I guess its because nobody wants to work but I dont want to get political I guess Ill just have to buy more stuff off of Jeff
Its ok. Not the best Walmart. We still miss the little store.
The visit was fine, but it took 10 attempts before my card finally worked. I had just used it to pay for a haircut without a problem, but the registers there were fickle.
Excellent beer, excellent food.
Picked up online order in-store. They have a sign says call 608.... so bring a phone or track down an associate in the pickup area.
This place has everything but good politics.
Worst customer service. Everyone thinks they know there job. Well i just walked 3 miles there after talking with people and got shoved out the doors. Not even a have a good day. Pathetic. And then i go to the town over and am helped properly. U guys are a joke
Only been once, and one of the employees was very rude and refused to help. Went to get a cord for my ps4 and asked someone for help, they tried to explain there were none and that the ps4 cords were not sold here, we looked around anyway and after awhile we found one, we notified the person that we found one and they tried to argue it was a wasnt a ps4 cord but a TV cord even though the box said ps4 power cord adapter. very rude.
Clean, orderly design, well stocked, staffed by friendly people. Everyone was paying attention to infection prevention precautions... More than anything else, that made me feel safe shopping there
I pay to have Walmart+. They suddenly cant get my groceries delivered on the day and time reserved. Absolutely NO CONTACT from the store!!! I canceled my service!
Not all Wal-Marts are created equal. The Stoughton store is, for what its worth, a great store. Their stock is almost always full. Rarely (mostly during public panic) is one unable to find what theyre looking for.Ive never been in a situation where I had to wait excessively to check out...in either the self-checkout or the attended registers. Perhaps my level of patience makes me oblivious to the actual checkout times.I will continue to patronize this store. I would recommend you do the same.
Really like the self checkout.
Good store, very clean, just few employees
Managers are extremely rude and disrespectful. ESPECIALLY the ones in pickup. Go somewhere else.
Great store, friendly staff and service. Its where you go when you want a store that has everything.
This was my first time at this location and my first time using their online grocery pickup option. It all went smooth. The person who came out to deliver my groceries was kind and efficient.
Visiting out of town Walmart is always amusing. The different layouts and offerings play havock with me but different things help lay more brain cells
Love ordering online and being able to just pick it up.
Its okay. Its a non-supercenter Walmart...which means it has about a tenth of everything a super center has. Caveat emptor.
I stop here on my way home from work on my Fridays for groceries. This is a pretty good Wal-Mart. Besides the aisles being messy from time to time, its a relatively clean Wal-Mart.
The store needs to finish the remodeling and stock the shelves.
Staff is rude. My husband gets flak from the cashiers for going through a checkout with a couple of items. We’re giving you our business, why should we ever have to use self checkout? Sad.
It was walmart but only self check outs running and maybe one manned register.
Filled a prescription at the pharmacy.Friendly and helpful.
Rude or snobby employees and managers. Sometimes dirty and they dont make a lot of fresh hot food. They let old food sit for hours and still sell it.
Typical Walmart Supercenter: Huge inventory, convenient, affordable, decent service. All of my visits to this location have been fine. (Thanks Bee in electronics)
Walmart. One of the leading champions of taking advantage of the people in this fake pandemic. Its great that you guys changed your hours so youre closed before 11pm, so people who work late can no longer stop on their way home. But, I mean, at least you taped arrows on the floor and made cattle lines so we dont get the Kobe Bryant, which apparently cant get through a surgical mask that hangs below your nose or travel a distance greater than 6 feet.2 stars.
Fairly disappointed in this Walmart for their pick up service. I sat for over 30 minutes after I checked in for my items. I had 5 cars that pulled in AFTER me that all got their groceries before I did (and yes I know and upstanding the check in service & checked in before I arrived). The one car was there less than 5 minutes. That is unacceptable and fairly disappointing. I ended up sitting in the parking lot for a total of 40 minutes waiting & wasting my time.. There was a single woman doing all the work for 30 minutes. It took the lot filling up for 4 younger associates to finally come to help. My whole time frame here was 37 minutes for a service at other locations that are busier that takes less than 20.
I found what I went there to buy, but when I went to the Scan and Go checkout to purchase my 2 items, I went to put in the cash and the cashier assistant came over and said this one doesnt take cash. I said perhaps you should post a sign stating such and she said it does and she pointed to something that I still didnt see. I suggested she mention my comment to her manager to put a written sign on the kiosk. I then had to go to customer service to have them take my cash.
Good place for family reunions.
Very clean with helpful staff. Not enough help at the registers however. Had a 10+ minute wait in line yesterday with too many items to self check out. Lost a star because of the wait.
Young man manager in yellow by austen went above and beyond what we needed him to do. very clean and friendly cashier and stockers. Great service. Greeted coming in and leaving. Didnt have much on the shelves but most stores dont either right now. Well be commuting to this store more often.
My cashier was friendly and talkative. I enjoyed chatting with her. Her nametag said Nita #2. She showed excellent customer service!
Employees were not helpful, waited over 20 minutes to get someone to the paint department despite talking with several employees that said someone would be paged. Very unfortunate.
Pretty much like any other walmart, the staff are kind and its pretty easy getting through the store and checking out.
Though I have visited the store itself, this review is for the pickup service. I was able to get a time slot within a day of starting my order. I received notification via email and app that my order was ready. The transfer of my food was contactless with the young man simply checking my name through the closed window and then placing bags in trunk. All in all, a great service in this time of uncertainty! Thanks Walmart!
Pleasant, alot cashiers so great
It walmart this location in stoughton was one of the best setups for finding things in a location you are unfamiliar with and vert clean impressed for wally world
Always enjoy a trip to wal mart they helped me find everything that I wanted.
Clean and spacious supermarket. You get all your daily needs here.
Worst Walmart out of all the Walmarts in my area in terms of trading cards. Every other Walmart in my area which includes Sun Prairie, East, West and monona all got similar product (NBA Prizm). Why is it that Stoughton for the last 2 weeks hasnt gotten ANY NBA Prizm? It makes no sense when every other Walmart in the world is getting these products and this store isnt. Vendor says she didnt get any, but its hard to believe when the stocks have always been consistent everywhere else. She also stocks Sun Prairies Walmart and they got NBA Prizm.. Somethings not right here. They dont seem to care that employees or someone is backdooring this store for their products. On top of that, they make us line up outside and wait til 7 to come in, while employees inside can just grab whatever they want.. really stupid. hope this store improves. they used to be a good store..
Clean and well kept store, they have reduced the hours from open 24hrs to open til 11pm
One of the nicest Walmarts. Clean, pleasant staff. Wish it was closer since I dont like Madisons west side Walmart.
Stoughton Walmart is always clean, organized, and employees are easy to find and very helpful.
Always able to find what I am looking for.
Its a nicer Walmart
Walmarts ok u can always get most of what you are looking for and almost always cheaper then u could find anywhere else
Clean store with good precautions about covid-19 sanitizing of the self checkouts and such. Enough access to self checkout or normal checkout to get in and out of the store fast.
I did my shopping and was happy that I found everything I needed.I was unhappy to find that some of the safeguards to keep people safe from covid were gone. The aisles used to be directional so that everyone was moving the same direction, the arrows had been removed from the floor. There were no signs reminding people to keep 6ft apart. I know people are aware of this but the absence of these signs gives people the impression they can let their guard down. It did appear that everyone was wearing masks so there is still hope of getting back to normal.
Clean and spacious store. Great prices and way more quality fresh food items than I thought! Ive been back several times since and will continue to.
Easy in and out. Quick service at the liquor store inside Walmart.
This is a good one!
Lots of items. Clean store.
Staff isnt helpful 90% of the time. I walked 1 minute after the grocery pick up area closed and no one cared to help me because it was after 8pm and the area closes at precisely 8pm apparently. I was told by both the customer service employees and the front end employees that I would just have to come back tomorrow. I live 30 minutes away. It was not a small feat to return the next day for my order of conatining exactly items. When I returned a couple days later it took over a half hour to receive my order because the manager Id spoken to the day before, because I received an email that I had picked up the order when I hadnt, was new to the department and had left for the day already. I spoke to 4 different employees before one of them was able to locate my 2 items. Beyond frustrating, I wont make the mistake of placing any pick up orders for this store in the future.
Surprised with all the changes.

Put more people on your checkout lines. only 2 open, waited 20 minutes to check out. grabbed a 12 pack from a display that clearly said 14.99 rang up 16.99, I showed the clerk, you could clearly see the sign from the check out. she said thats wrong and wouldnt adjust the price to what was advertised. do better WalMart
Very few workers to help. No checkers in sight.
For the average shower, one of the few places you can find anything at a reasonable price.
This store is well maintained and everyone was wearing masks. They are still light on pandemic-related extras such as free weights, but that isnt unexpected.
Great selection of...pretty much everything you could need.
Love the grocery pick up. We use it almost every week.
For a Walmart its fine. If you can buy local, go for it. But as walmarts go the sales people are nice, its clean, its sanitized and they have good sections for everything.
What can you say. Its Walmart
Clean Store Stoughton Wisconsin. Nice variety of items
Very clean and stocked shelves. Help can be difficult to find, but if you know what you want and its not in a locked cabinet..... well, a good place to get your shop on...
