My wife & I had insulation done in our attic above our whole second floor, and we are incredibly happy with everything! The owner, Mike, does a great job communicating, and after our initial inquiry, it didnt take long for us to schedule a time for him to inspect the area we wanted work on. Upon inspection, he gave us a reasonable quote on the spot and we accepted shortly after. He gave us a timeline of when the work could be done, and it ended up getting done much earlier than expected. It was about a 2.5 hour job, and his team did a wonderful job. He came out while they were getting the work done to make sure everything was in order. We noticed the impact of the insulation right away and continue to notice it as the temperature fluctuates here in Ohio. We are incredibly happy with our experience and the product/services received! From start to finish Home Appeal is top notch. Mike, is absolutely awesome to work with. We had hail damage and the insurance company would not replace all of the siding on the house. Mike was able to find an exact match in color for us. The job on our roof and siding was done quickly and to perfection. Job site was kept very clean. They even scrubbed off some oil spots on our driveway left from one of the trucks. So small i didnt even notice but they did and took care of it. Mike oversaw the entire project, stopping by and checking the work multiple times throughout the day(s). We were always kept up to date on the progress of the job. The short story is that we had siding and gutters installed and they look great.The long story is the time Mike put into this project before it even started. Mike came out to our house to survey our damaged siding to assist with an insurance claim. The following week Mike showed up an hour before the adjuster to mark and circle close to 100 dents with chalk. Mike worked with the adjuster through the entire process to make sure it was filed correctly. Claim was approved!Day of demo and install arrives. The smoothest process I have ever seen. All siding was completed in two days and the gutters went up soon after. Every inch of their work showed pride in their craft. Every member of the team truly cares about the project at hand, which is something you don’t always see in skilled labor.The house looks brand new and is no longer drafty. We got siding, a small roof repair, and an entryway door from Home Appeal. We got a few different quotes on comparable materials and Home Appeal was slightly lower but generally in-line with the others. The choice to go with Home Appeal was the comfort level in discussing our options and the knowledge and assistance they provided as options. He offered opinions based on his expertise, but didnt push anything in picking the right products for our project. My in-laws needed new siding and a roof due to some hail damage and I was tasked with finding a company to provide the service. At that time, because of all the hail damage in the area, there were many companies knocking on doors to provide quotes for their service. I had heard of Home Appeal and decided to have them give me a quote as well. Mike (the owner BTW) came out and was very thorough about what products his company was using and why they were using those products. All quality stuff. This was different than what the other companies were providing which in most cases werent even showing us any products...just giving out a quote. We felt a sure sense of confidence with Mike and awarded him the work. Boy, we are so glad we did. The work was awesome and very high quality. Crew was very efficient and cleaned up very well. Most of the neighbors had essentially the same work done, siding and new roof and it was very evident the difference in quality both in the materials and workmanship. There was a noticeable difference in workmanship and finished look. I am not sure how much the others paid, and Mikes quote was not the cheapest...but it was worth every penny. Several of my neighbors have commented on the color and how much the house looks up to date as compared with when we had our old brown cedar siding. Mike helped me choose the proper color, style, and quality level of the siding which was helpful as there are so many choices. The installation was something to behold - youd think General Patton had come back to life as a crew foreman! I am delighted with the large picture window Home Appeal installed over our kitchen sink. The owners Mike and Lisa were very patient with us and provided several options to consider. The window we selected has one large stationary screen-free pane in the middle with long narrow vertical panes on either side that open. Before our windows were installed, the sounds outside were definitely much louder. We had a friend of ours, who is a sound engineer, measure the level of noise near the old windows. We had him measure the noise for a few days and the decibel meter peaked at 82 dB. We are not too far from the railroad tracks that run parallel with Route 8. 80 dB would compare to a blow dryer, a kitchen blender or food processor.After the windows were installed, we had the same test conducted. The windows that you guys installed lowered to peak level to 64 dB. A comparison for 64 dB would be a typical conversation, a dishwasher, or a clothes dryer.Not only are things much more quiet in our house, the windows made our house look so much better. They are easy to operate, and easy to clean.You guys run such a great company that is operated in a way that is very rare these days. Home Appeal was just fantastic. First, working with the Owner (Mike) was great. It’s nice to have someone not trying over the top to sell sell sell. He’s polite, prompt, and great at communication throughout the entire process. He doesn’t disappear after you sign the dotted line. He’s constantly available and wants to make sure you are completely satisfied. The best thing about Mike is that he has a passion for what he does, and it shows. He gets genuinely excited about how great YOUR house is going to look. It’s really refreshing.The first part of our home project was the blown-in insulation. Wow, what a difference it made in the house. The install took one day, and that evening we could really feel the difference in how much warmer the house is. This was the smallest portion of our home upgrade, and the only part that isn’t really visible. But man, it was great not to have to wear a sweatshirt around the house. The crew that installed the insulation was professional, timely, prompt and polite. We couldn’t have been happier with the insulation and the install.The second part of our home project was doors. We got one exterior door, one interior door, a sliding glass door, and a new front door. The exterior and interior door were pretty standard, but are very nice. It may be weird to say this, but you don’t realize how awful your door opens and closes until you get a new door. Smooth. Plus, no more blankets along the bottom edge of the door to keep the drafts out. A real nice seal keeps the cold out. The sliding glass door was also great… gain, you don’t know how awful your current one opens and closes until you get a new one. Smooth. It’s really made a difference in the temperature of the room as well. The old door must have been leaking heat like crazy.Our new front door was the centerpiece of the doors potion of the project. Again, great with how smooth it opens and closes, and great that there are no blankets on the floor to keep drafts out. But what really sets it apart is that it’s just an absolutely beautiful door. Glass inlay that’s just our style. Hardware that really makes a statement. The perfect color. Three people have come over since the install, and each has commented on the beauty of the door. It’s a real masterpiece. A new code deadbolt, instead of one that uses a key, has been really great too. It’s always nice to get some keys off of the keychain. Again, really professional and polite install team on the doors.The third portion of our home project was the siding. Man, what a difference this made. We went with a medium gray and white trim all around. It really, really pops, and looks fantastic. All the seams are tight, the installers did a really quality job, and it was a really big job. They covered up a scalloped brick wall, which I thought there was no way they’d be able to do with the protruding bricks. But sure enough, they found a way and the whole house looks fantastic. Our house looks like a brand new home now, and we didn’t even have to move.Finally, we got gutters and gutter guards. You never realize how bad your gutters are until you get new ones. No more “white” gutters that are gray with black streaks of dirt. No more scooping leaves and acorns out of the gutters. No more avoiding drips from the roof when walking up to the front door.All and all, we got almost ever service Home Appeal offered, and every step was professional and high quality. It was also the best quote we got out of the several we had, and the involvement and passion the owner distributes puts it over the top. Do not hesitate to have Home Appeal tackle your next home improvement project. You won’t regret it.
