The staff that work there are rude. don’t feel welcomed I live 2 min away but suggest going to the one in Shelton Ashlynn is the worst of all she put extra charges like insurance for games when said no multiple times done it 3 times already you need to fire that staff and start all over or its gonna die out

I know I wouldnt be the first to say that this is the worst ganestop in Connecticut but there is no other way to put it. DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE. There isnt one employee at this gamestop that is helpful in any way. They are rude and make you feel very unwelcomed in the store. They are not true to their word. The only way this store could possibly be fixed it if the entire staff was fired and they start it again with an all neww staff. Something needs to be done abiut this since the onlt ither gamestop near here is all the way in milford. There rein of terror needs to end.

Horrible GameStop, by far the worst I’ve ever been too, I’ve been to plenty of GameStop’s where I’ve left the store plenty of times with a smile on my face, but this GameStop is different. they respond to you with short quick rude answers and provide absolutely no customer assistance, have a question? Goodluck asking without the staff making you feel like youre special needs. Return policies are a joke you can buy something walkout the front door and walk back in and they won’t let you return it. In fact you’re not even able to see what it is you’re purchasing until you bought it. The staff will tell you it’s in the back room and that they can’t pull it out until purchased just to pull it out from under the desk where it was the entire time.. it’s honestly such a shame to see these types of people working here, this GameStop is shiesty, never will I go here again, GameStop can do better than this!

Great store! Theyre very helpful with making the right choices for different age groups! Sometimes they dont have the most popular games because they run out so quickly but Other than that theyre fabulous!

I love this GameStop location because, Vanessa, the manager, is a constant and always a friendly face. GameStop gets a lot of hate, some deserved, but the people working are not the corporation and there are still a few locations that are worth visiting. This is one of those locations.

Went in to buy a PS Vita 1000 with 2 giftcards and a certificate. Called in advance to ensure that the certificate would work which I was assured would.I go into the store, and was assisted by Vanessa.She tried to sell me the pro membership and insurance per usual which I declined. She responded in a condescending tone with Oh you dont like to save money? Well youre missing out, you come in here looking for a specific model and dont even want the insurance. Among other things. Horribly rude woman.We began ringing out the purchase, I swiped both giftcards and then we realized the certificate wasnt applied. So she told me that we CANNOT CANCEL THE PURCHASE and to let it go through and we just refund it. I followed those orders and did exactly that. However after the refund she prompted me not to use my giftcards again and to only use my payment method.I went another GameStop later in the day to pick up a Memory Card for the Vita as there was no 16gb at Stratford and tried to use the giftcards (which at this point shouldve been refunded as Vanessa did the refund) and they showed an insufficient funds on both.Im out the full amount of the giftcards in the current state and have no clue if I can get them back as Im quite certain I shouldve gotten 2 new giftcards as a refund like most other stores do.Avoid this store, literally the interaction with Vanessa alone should be something you avoid always

Dont know why they are still in business but whatever. Let me start by saying their are signs pointing to where the lime forms two of them to be truthful. Mr and my son were waiting in line at the designated place and another guy with his son comes and skips the clerk takes him she was the only one there that day at the register at that time. I didnt want to make a scene in front of my 12 year old because he wasnt paying attention for a split second I spoke to him later about this. I couldve gotten mad at the guy but I knew that the clerk was supposed to enforce the rule and she didnt she just allowed it. So I waited until they finished and wen to the clerk she took care of my son and then I asked my son to Wai for me outside that I needed to speak to the lady for a minute. He left and waited outside. I asked the lady I said can I speak to you for a minute and she said sure whats up?. I stayed the obvious about the sings and pointed out her error, she then said your right and Im sorry. After that I said ok just remember for next time because theres no Pont in waiting online and signs if thats going to take place she said she understood and I left. I just feel like many of these places treat you like your insignificant, just another number or perhaps look at you and say they aint got no money anyways. Never judge a book by its cover, Im not saying thats why what happened happened but hey Ive seen it all before. Anyways thats my review I hope it helps out.

30 % off clearance items when it is normally at least 50%. They even went up double price on previous sale items. Usually I find some good deals but not today.

Good price and help me when I need to look up something that was not in the store.Took the time to tell me what store had the game.

Trade in value is probably the lowest ive ever seen but theyve got alot of newer games in stock with a 50/50 chance of someone knowing something about videogames. If youre looking for anything that isnt popular or has good sales; dont expect to find it here (though they sometimes can have games ordered/shipped from other stores.)

Dont waste your time shopping here or applying for a job either. The manager is an idiot and a slave driver. There is absolutely no respect for customers or employees. If youre lucky enough to get hired here expect 3 years or bottom rung grunt work for terrible pay before any hope of a raise or moving up in the company. On top of that, dont expect to make a living working here, this manager will make sure she gets paid, not you. There was a time I had respect for this company. Now I realize that managers like this are why gamestop is going out of business!

I put a game on hold at a sale price. When picking it up I was very rudely told by a girl who wouldnt look up from her cpu screen that the sale price was expired. Her assistant then tried to sell me a card. I found her attitude rude and body language extremely dismissive and all Im doing is saying I reserved a game for my kid. They got my extra money but just lost a customer with 2 boys. Not smart!

I purchased a preowned game to try out like Im sure everyone does at GameStop. The 7th day came I was in line to return the game I was told by a very rude associate named Osvaldo that I couldnt return it and it was past the due date. So I said no problem I called another Gamestop they told the very opposite that I can return it on the 7th day. So in a nutshell I go the run around for no apparent reason.

I went to gamestop to sell my original wii console with all the wires and my controller, and the woman employee there, the overweight short woman i believe her name is vanessa was my associate at the time. She said they could offer me 7 dollars at first for my wii console, and i thought that was outrageous at first i know that a wii console is old but should be worth a little more. going on though, she noticed that the cover of where the gamecube controller ports are was missing she said this is a big deal, and said she would only be able to give me 4 dollars and that pissed me off completely so i just took my stuff off the counter and left immediately. i went up the street a few miles and the guy at retro games offered me 20 dollars for my wii console. anyways every single time i have ever been to the game stop in stratford and she is working there that little troll she is always extremely rude and always gives me and every other customer an attitude she should not work in retail and should just lock herself in her house and never come out

I went to this Gamestop today in Stratford, CT to return my iPod Classic. I had previously bought the one year warranty on this item so I figured I would be in and out with a new one without hassle. The worker there, i believe her name was Vanessa was incredibly rude and unhelpful. She said they had none in stock, would not know when they were going to be in stock, and told me to choose something else. I didnt want something else I wanted the item I had originally paid for and had a warranty on. I asked if she can please call me when they were back in stock and she said she cant do that and made a rude remark under her breath. I dont believe its just me that she is so rude to because she was utterly rude to the customer in front of me when he just had some questions. Overall, I hope i never have to step foot in this disgustingly rude and inconvenient gamestop. I recommend a different one with nicer and more trust worthy employees.
