Great customer service for reasonable price.

No one was wearing masks during a pandemic. They claim social distancing as the only safety measure but one of their workers came within feet of me before I walked out. Avoid this place like the plague until the plague is over.Response to their response: The only issue I had was their anti-masker stance inside an enclosed office. I guess family means that they share everything with you, including Covid. They should review Illinois law before claiming masking is optional.

AW Auto Repair always does such a wonderful job on my car and is always so pleasant on the phone and in person. Just days ago I took my car to have the hood latch repaired, but while it was there they also ended up changing the oil and letting me know that one of my tail lights was out so they could take care of that as well. Their prices are always reasonable, and they look out for their customers, honestly telling them when something is not worth the money to fix, unlike other repair shops who take advantage of the situation.

I’m new to the area and Discount Tire recommended AW to me for an alignment after buying a new set of tires. They were able to get me in for a last minute appointment, and the service was excellent! Michelle and her dogs were super friendly and very accommodating. I will be back!

The only honest mechanics. I thought I needed brakes because of a squealing noise. They explained it was simply rust on the rotors. Saved me hundreds when they couldve done the job and I wouldve been none the wiser

After going to Casey’s and getting quoted over a $1,000 to replace a compressor that I was told I didn’t need to replace I was just low on Freon. Looks like I’ll never go back to Casey’s and I have found a new shop. Thank you AW

We had our 2011 Lincoln MKX serviced at AW and it was noticed that the break booster was not working, so Scott looked it up and found that it was under warranty and even called the Ford dealer to check. I dont usually write reviews, but I just have to for this one. Before I start, I just want to say, If youre reading this review, and dont know where to get you car looked at, LOOK NO FURTHER, The people here are amazing.A few weeks ago, I started having serious trouble codes on my 2001 tahoe. (lean, codes, misfire, no start, ran horrible) I knew that It had to be checked out and properly diagnosed by someone with experience and GOOD technical skill. So, I started googling repair shops close to my home in streamwood and came across AW auto. First thing I do is read the reviews, then I call. I put my trust in them, and decided to take the truck to their shop. The guys at AW auto carefully started running several tests, scanning the truck, and finding several faulty sensors and components. (all while they were aligning my wifes Cobalt). Precisely what I was looking for when I knew My truck needed attention. Thank you AW team, Thank you michelle for the hard work and dedication. My truck Is running beautiful now!

Best auto repair shop i’ve been to! They instantly found the problem that not one but TWO mechanic shops weren’t able to find. They fixed it and gave me new brakes within 24 hours!! Extremely friendly, great customer service, and good prices.

My granddaughter arrived after a two and a half day trip from Arizona and noticed that one of her lights was out. AW, which has been my go-to place for anything concerning my car for 40+ years, was right there to take care of it. In addition they did a general check-up after the long drive and discovered that one of her tires was grossly inflated, worn down considerably and could have caused immeasurable problems on the road. After oil change and recommendation to replace tires on the car she was ready for the road and no trouble on the way back to AZ after our visit.

AW auto repair is the most honest shop Ive ever been to. Ive had my brakes done there as well as an EGR replacement and I have to say, the quality of service simply cannot be beat. I took my 2008 Silverado in to replace both lower ball joints that do to excessive bouncing in the front end. Once they were replaced I still had some extra bouncing going on and notice the upper ball joint was also bad. I am disappointed they had not checked this while they already had it disassembled working on the lower ball joints, it is a simple thing to notice the play while working on the knuckle.. now I have to pay extra labor in order to get my upper ball joint replaced when they couldve done it while everything was disassembled..Update theyve offered to replace but I had the work done prior to getting in contact. But.. the other side still needs to be replaced, please give me a call to discuss.

I was refered to them by discount tires for wheel alignment. I went there and met Scott,hes the owner I think, very professional and friendly, he gave us an appointment. On the appointment day my work was done before the estimated time. I like this place, I think I will go there for all my work in future.
