This is my third visit to Elgin Toyotas service department. Throughout all of them the service has been exemplary. On each occasion Jaime Montalvo oversaw the service. The first was a replacement of the electric battery in my beloved 13 year old Prius. Despite a number of glitches on my end, the car was returned to me in like-new condition both functionally and in appearance. However, after a few months of seamless performance, my car was totaled after it was rear-ended. I located a newer used car to replace it and turned to Elgin Toyota for evaluation before purchase. Again, service was excellent. Recently, my new car developed a persistent bad odor. As it turned out, It was an animal infestation which Jaimes team detected and remediated. All of this was during some of the most difficult times of COVID-19. I cannot say enough positive about the service I received, far better than any prior experience with a car dealership.

I had a few items that needed attending to my new used car and have several people to recognizeFirst, Jay Montalvo in Service was great! When the initial services were done, he called and told me he was having one of the items redone (removing tire shine from floor maps) because he didnt think it was acceptable and I greatly appreciated his taking the time to actually check the mats out for me. He also helped to answer several questions about my new (used) car that I wasnt sure about. Very professional & politeMinhaj Rehman was also helpful in attending to a molding that needed to be replaced and called me to keep me updated as to the repair status.A week later after my initial service was complete, I noticed a clunking noise when I drove my car at slow speeds, so I took it back to service and Jasmine arranged to have one of the Technicians, Rommel, ride with me so I could point it out. He was able to identify the problem and fixed it.There was also a contract matter that I had questions on and Bob Keissami and Robert Soto were both very helpful and professional in addressing and resolving the matter.
Made an appointment for my 5k service on my Tacoma. Thanks ToyotaCare. Showed up on time where I was greeted by Russell. It looked like he was training a new advisor and I’m sorry but I already forgot her name. I’m terrible with names but Russell gave me his card. I agreed to all the text notifications and got updates from Russell through that system which to me is very convenient. They told me it would be an hour but I think I was pulling out of service after 35-40 minutes. I’m a big fan of under promising and over delivering. The waiting area was very clean and everyone was great. I’ll definitely be back, thanks Russell.
I now have this experience twice and as bad as it could be. After I bought my new car from here about 6 months back I was told that exterior and interior protection plan will cover all the stains, dents, scratches which are non-accidental. I had that plan on my 2016 corolla which had a stain on back seat and they refuse to fix it saying you will have to get the car detailed first and if it doesnt go by that you give us proof of detailing and we can see what can be done.This time I am here with the new vehicle I purchased 6 months back and it has small scratch on the hood which is non-accidental, I asked if this is ocovered in the protection package and service representative said it only covers stains 😁. I was back to circle one. I wish I had recorded past conversation.Last time I posted review, they pretend to be trying to resolve and left comment on my review to call them. I called several times and left voice-mail, never got response back and seems like they were able to get my last review off from here.Never buy their service packages or protection plan. I came back here because I bought vehicle from here. Long story short, do not buy any add-ons for protection or service packages from these folks.
Do NOT trust this service department. They charge for more services than they report to CarFax, making it hard to track what has “been done.” We have had to go back twice after services were performed, but they failed to close valves or secure things properly (we assumed the first time was just a simple mistake, now we see the pattern).

Had my Toyota in for warranty work. Worked with Mo the service writer and also with Jose Velez. They took a difficult situation and made it a wonderful experience. Totally treated like I was a member of their own immediate family. Real people, genuine, real exceptional experience! I’d recommend if your considering a visit go for it!
Its a nice place to hang out with kids with ponds and soccer grounds, and picnic tables.
Took van in for inspection prior to a family road trip. They changed transmission and power steering fluids. A day later, it is leaking transmission fluid and in worse shape than we started.
Multi-point inspection is not reliably done. Additionally, the price is quite higher than other places. No problem with the price being a bit higher, but that should come at higher quality, but that is not the case. The car was more messier after work was being done, they did not clean up their post-work debris. I have consistently experienced staff being not so friendly. I am no longer going to visit this place for my auto maintenance needs.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING TO THIS LOCATION. Took my brothers SUV in for oil change and tire rotation. Before going, i had my local mechanic mark the drain plug, oil filter, and the tires to see if the service would be done or not. When I looked at car after service it was only washed and that was all done on it. Talked to the manger, who was very rude and said the work was performed.
Recently purchased a vehicle from here. Everyone I encountered were very friendly and ready to help. The entire process was quick and easy to do from the salesman to the service guys. Rudy was very polite and informative. Thanks guys!
Toyota cars are great, but the service here it’s more than terrible, it’s upsetting the type of care they give the cars. I came in for my regular maintenance of oil change and tire rotation, before I pull in the shop I did a complete post trip inspection and to test and see if they were actually going to do my tire rotation, I removed the front air tire caps. After the service was done after an hour of waiting, I do a walk around my vehicle and notice they had just rotate 1 tire, they could of been smarter and just change the back air caps to the front. They didn’t even bother telling me I was missing 2 air caps Lol... oh and they didn’t instal a new oil filter. I marked that one too with a marker.... I will not be returning. ( valvoline oil shop in Elgin Randall road does a better, cheaper job )
Best customer service around and the GM goes above and beyond for customers. I wouldnt bring my car anywhere else.
They had the right battery for my key fob.
Never go there again, employees are so unprofessional, over charges on service without acknowledgement. Trying to cross sell all the packages several time. Managers are not available to talk, Cashiers are taking forever to get the payment done. 1hour 45 minutes wait time for regular oil change and tires rotation, wait time for cashier is 30 minutes. That’s the worst service ever! The employee talked to us unprofessionally.
This is perhaps the most useless group, scandalous and least accountable service experience I have ever had at any car dealership.1) a $69.95 advertised as current and confirmation at dealership was not honored. Initially told my service will be $10 extra although no where in their offer or disclaimer does it stipulate extra cost for suv.Agreed to proceed as i have already wasted 45mins after checking in for a scheduled appointment waiting service advisor.This scumbag claimed different price than advertised but only $10 so i asked them to proceed.2)2.5hrs later allegedly my vehicle was done and ready to be paid for only to find out total of $102.00.I questioned, and the cashier was completely clueless, the customer service supervisor also clueless, they page the service advisor who did not acknowledge another 20mis, then they paged service mgr who also ignored customer service page even citing customer was waiting these guys still took 45 extra minutes for svc advisor to come up and say the extra $40 was for shop fees and misc although it doesnt add up.3) As mentioned in article one, do NOT deal with these clowns if you value your time, money, customer relations or simply just overall decent ( i said decent which is bare minimum) service.I should have really done better research before dealing with these people and I hope this review helps someone avoid the same mistake i made.
I have been coming here for a while and the service is generally adequate but after today I wont be coming back. I had to take my husband to the ER the previous evening and I had to spend the day taking him to appointments. Between them I was able to drop off my car for service that it desperately needed. I let my service manager Bryan know this so he understood why I was so flustered and needed to be kept apprised of what was happening. He did call me once to let me know of a service that had to be added on, but then I never heard from him again. I didnt have much time for making calls but I made several in an attempt to get to hold of him but he never called me back. By the time I was able to get ahold of someone the service center had closed. This was the one day I needed some decency and unfortunately they werent able to provide it.

Assistant Service Manager Brian was charging me for Tire rotation even though I bought tires from Toyota and Westmont Toyota and Lombard Toyota had previously done free tire rotations. All Toyota dealerships give free tire rotation if you purchase and install tires through any Toyota. This service advisor told they cant honor that request and I had to take my car out of service. It did waste my 1 hr that day and I would not recommend servicing my car here. They are just trying bump up the price and not even honor an agreement that was made when we purchase tires through Manufacturer.
