But I was compelled to give the team at U Store It Streamwood 5+ stars bc they are, in fact, amazing.They took care of me from start to finish, ANTICIPATED my needs (now, that is HUGE & not easy to do), were extremely friendly and empathetic to my situation.The facility is so clean and bright (not common in most self storage places), and the security is more than I expected.Pricing is right what I thought it would be - so no complaints there- as a matter of fact, when you compare the overall experience, management and staff and cleanliness you are actually getting MORE than you would get as some of the other local self- storage was places.It’s hard to make me a ‘raving fan’ but they did! Well done.

Prices are decent. The system is secure but not easy, I feel like there could be a way where it’s both easy AND secure. The worker helping us was nice but it kind of felt like I was a new employee being trained for a job instead of a new customer. They expected me to know how to operate everything after getting the quick rundown once and didn’t say anything like, “If you have any more questions or need any help, let me know.” Instead, when I needed help, the employee was like, “I told you, it’s like this. Remember?” So I felt like it was employee-training and not teaching a customer something.But once you get past the learning experience (which really isn’t that bad, honestly), it’s a good storage system. The carts can be better though.

Clean and good customer service

The storage facility was very clean and they have great customer service. The girls in the office were very helpful with getting me the right size unit and also made it easier with being able to purchase moving supplies. I will definitely recommend my friends and family.

First time renting the Sue & Diane in the office had great customer service, very clean helped me with everything I needed as well as moving supplies. I would definitely recommend this facility to friends and family.

Not worth the time! I posted a few reviews on yelp but they where taken down quickly. The price for units are to high for what you get. There are other places in the area that are better and don’t raise your rent every 6 months.

Nice clean place and friendly stuff; However be warned that once you sign up, and you move your stuff in, they can jack up prices as they want and whenever they want. For me it happened within 4 months, and when I asked why, they said its in the contract that they can rip you off like that. I could understand that maybe after 12 month, but not anytime they feel like it. For me its ripping people off, and personally I dont want to have anything to do with the practice like that.

This facility is a nice facility. It is clean. Boxes are somewhat cheap depending on the size. Locks are expensive, $16+. You would think theyd give you a discount after buying a unit with them.The $1 promo is a wash. Im not sure what I paid $60 something bucks for when I signed up but I never really saw that $1 a month. I have a indoor storage unit that they claim is heated which is absolutely false. I moved my things in the winter and you could see your breath smoke inside thats how cold it was. I booked the unit specifically because i had electronics to store and i had to keep them at someone house because the unit was too cold. I paid extra for a inside unit but its definitely not climate controlledYou cannot access your unit 24-7. Unless you are already inside, after 10pm access will be denied.Lastly the main reason for 2 stars is Sue. She is usually the only one there. She is a nice lady, but a little weird. She had the main door locked 45 minutes prior to closing. I get it, probably because shes the only one there. But twice, on two separate occasions, she seems to be lurking or extremely nosey. I was getting things out my unit and oddly she came around a dark corner with a clip board walking past me, saying nothing even as I gave her a curtsey smile. I was the only person in the facility at that time. It was a weird feeling. A second time I was in the garage for a extended time waiting for someone to bring my items. She came again sweeping the garage floor trying to look busy but i think she wanted to see why I was in the garage for so long. Very odd. She says nothing, just walks by.Almost 80 bucks a month for indoor storage thats cold and a nosey lady every time you come to ur unit. They send out reminder emails like crazy, I got 5 this week.

They didnt prorate the monthly rent. I understand that it was in the contract, but I was a customer for 11 months, and brought another customer there who has used storage services for 6 months and is still there. Its frustrating, because I ended up paying for an entire month when I vacated the unit 2 days late, but they will still be able to rent the unit to another customer.Other than that, everything else was great. The facility was very clean and in great condition.

Sue really made the rental experience easy and quick. The place is very clean with a number of different sizes to choose from. The indoor loading/unloading was great during the winter. I looked around at many places in the Streamwood/Bartlett area, and this one is the one to use.Keep up the Great work Sue!

Annmarie and Sue are the best! They made me feel so safe at this place. I checked out others first but this was the only place for me. The lights are bright, it looks and smells clean plus they have security cameras. These were all things lacking at the other places I looked. I highly recomend this place to all my lady friends, a safe storage place for us.

Anne & Sue were fantastic! They were patient with me on the phone when I got lost going the wrong way down Irving park. Even though the office was full of customers, they took the time to show everyone what we all wanted to see and still got us all taken care off fairly quickly. They had so many tips and suggestions to help me and my family make this last minute move a lot easier and less stressful. Thank you Ustorit Streamwood! I highly recommend and tell all my new neighbors they need to rent here!

If you need storage, come here! The prices were great, and the promotions too (1 month free, c’mon that’s great!!). Sue was really helpful. She was able to find me the perfect size unit, and it even had a view lol! When we asked about moving truck options in around the Bartlett area she had about 5 or 6 different business cards of local movers. We ended up choosing A Mills, who were also great too! All around awesome experience

Great place besides the ever so frequent increasing rates. Pulled out my stuff and closed my unit due to it.

Not only was the price within my budget, I felt like I could not have been treated any better. Sue and Virgil are an awesome team and they really made the storage rental process quick and easy. Could n ot thank them enough for helping me out in this somewhat stressful time. The storage units were super clean and they even had some carts to make moving E-A-S-Y. This place is the best. ‘Nuff said.

I have had a unit here for about a year now. Its always clean and the hours are convenient. They have an area where you can pull your car in and unload when the weather is not cooperating.

I’ve driven past it many times. The gates look sturdy and asked them if Storage Wars would be filming soon and they said no.

The site is very clean and I like the climate control option. Sue, the manager, did an excellent job of going over the possible unit sizes and by showing me the unit, made my decision easy. I also like the camera security feature.

Awesome storage facility, super clean, great staff, offered the entire moving crew water, great prices, and most importantly my monthly rent never increased during our stay there! Highly recommended!

Briefly it can be defined like your big mansion storage with parking lot. You feel super comfortable and super clean home without any problem to download your stuff because it has a large parking area.
