We had a great time on our kayaking tour with DC Adventure Center. Tour started on time and both guides were experienced, professional, and fun. The condition of all the equipment was very good. We had smooth water so were able to see and go into the caves and watch cliff jumpers and see the shipwreck (although we just saw the shadow, not a clear view of the ship). We loved that the location of the tour was right on the beach so we didnt have to take time going back and forth in the van. The beach was beautiful so we spent a few hours after the tour on the beach playing and walking. The only negative is that it is located in the state park so you have to pay a day fee. We have annual membership so it didnt impact us.

We went on the tour out of Cave Point County Park on 6.14.2021. We had a blast. Our guides were just amazing. Thanks for the great tour Lauren and Cora and McKenna!Would highly recommend this tour if youre around Door County.

We did the 8-Zipline tour. Kevin and Alissa were the best! Very patient and encouraging the whole way. After the first few zips we were having a blast! Thank you again!

Went on the Friday Tour: Aug 20th at 1pm. Our guide Issac (I think?) was awesome and provided a great conversation along with some fun facts about Cave point and the surrounding area. Issac was very patient with the group and managed to give a great tour while keeping everyone involved. Our guide took the time to snap this photo of us and offered the same to our entire group if they wanted.Be warned, this trip isnt easy! Be prepared to get wet and have a real workout. The tour takes about an hour and a half and youre on the water the whole time.

Great experience all the way around! We brought some scouts from a local troop. The boys ranged in age from 11-16. And the 3 adults also had a blast. Abby (our leader) was terrific. The boys were challenged with a climbing wall and cargo net climb, had a blast with the zip line, but their favorite, by far, was the flying squirrel. Thanks so much. Really had fun and considering taking our family there for a door county trip!

This is a once in a life time opportunity, as in, Id only take the opportunity once in my lifetime to kayak lake Michigan to get to Cave Point County Park. As you can imagine, the water is super cold and you get very wet. Id recommend bringing a towel and a change of clothes for this trip. I thought the tour guides were fine, but they didnt add much to the trip. I know it is hard to speak louder than the waves, but I wish they would have talked more about the area and gave more facts. It is fun to see the caves from the water but I dont think the Adventure Center provides an exceptional tour.

I will do my best, to sum up the experience. It was AMAZING! a large group and I had gone kayaking and if you are going to go, You must have the two guids Kora and Ryan. They were unbelievable! Extremely engaging with extensive knowledge of the area to provide facts as we explored the area. They made the trip for us! I will be contacting the you all shortly to make sure they are receiving the praise they deserve. If you are around the area, stop in and get a tour with them. Thank you, DC adventure, for hiring such excellent employees, and thank you to Kora and Ryan for making our trip fantastic!

The cave trip was a dead loss. Apparently you get to go inside the caves sometimes (?) but we were not allowed to do it that day, I guess because the wind was too high? They dont tell you that when you call to sign up, however, so you are left feeling misled. The VERY steep price doesnt help.Its fine to talk about safety afterward, but it would be better to mention UP FRONT that there is a good chance that the tour wont go into the caves, particularly when you know the weather for that particular day.

Door county is the best for summer vacation. We just love that place so much. We are in MN for 6 years and we visited this wonderful piece of earth and mother nature twice. Once for parceling and last year for lavender farm Festival. That time we tried to covered up all other best rated places. Thank Google and local guides for exact reviews and help

The cave/dunes tour was a blast! Many in our group of 12 had a first ever experience kayaking and all gave it a thumbs up. Isaac gave excellent instruction before we started. We all felt comfortable on the water with him and the rest of the guides. They kept us together and made it fun. How often do you get to play trivia in the middle of Lake Michigan? My only complaint is that our kayak didn’t win. Guess we’ll have to book another tour for a second chance at the prize. 🤓Well done DC Adventure Center! We’ll be back. 👍🏻

Beautiful views, clean kayaks and vests, and incredible staff. As an individual who had never been kayaking or canoeing I tipped myself twice! Our guide Isaacs a trooper, so upbeat and encouraging. If I could give him10 stars I would!!!

Our family went on the Mink River kayak tour with Spencer. He was very patient with us newbies and helped make the trip enjoyable. We also completed the zip lining course in Rawleys Bay. Again the guides were kind and helpful.

It was our first time ever kayaking so we were alittle scared but our guides were excellent. Our guides were very knowledgeable about the area and landmarks. It was a beautiful experience I would do it again.

The staff was very friendly, experienced and through with our rental of a tandem kayak on Father’s Day. We went 2 hours up the Mink River and back from Rowleys Bay. The Cinnamon roll from Grandma’s Swedish bakery was delicious fuel for the paddle!

We went on Thursday June 17th and it was so much fun and we would definately do it again. Our guides (Kevin and Tommy?) were very informative on what we needed to do and made sure we wrte safe and secure. We also really enjoyed the jokes before each zip.

This review is in regards to the Canopy Zip Line Tour my girlfriend and I booked.Unfortunately, we felt as if the tour was very lacking. Everything seemed promising at first as we climbed a fairly tall repurposed silo as our starting point, but our excitement quickly diminished by the time we arrived to our 3rd point. Each landing pad stemmed a mere 6ft to 12ft off the ground at most by then. Perhaps it was our fault for assuming a canopy zip line would have us high in the trees, but nevertheless we felt very little thrill. The setup felt more like a quick rig in someones backyard rather than something professional. We also felt a little cheated that 2 out of the 8 lines in the tour were repeats.If you are a beginner, this tour will serve as a good introduction to zip lining. However, if you are seeking something more thrilling I would definitely turn elsewhere. Three stars because our instructors were very helpful and very nice.

My fiancè and I did the 8 span zip lining and we had so much fun! The two instructors we had were very nice and understanding. They made sure everyone in the group felt safe and had a good time. I would highly recommend the 8 span zip line experience in Sister Bay! It is well worth the money and quite the adventure.

The sunset kayak tour was great. A relaxing paddle across the bay to see the sun setting over the UP in the distance was beautiful. Our guide was very welcoming and had plenty of fun ice breaker jokes and lake Michigan facts to get the group talking and making a memory. Definitely recommended if your thinking about it.

We loved this experience. Staff was very friendly and helpful, and boosted my 7 year olds confidence when she was scared to give it a try. I would highly recommend coming with a larger group and doing the flying squirrel portion as well. Its so much fun, and we had a blast!

We had an absolutely perfect day for kayaking White Fish Dunes Park and the caves. The water and view were stunning and the temperature perfect. The hubsters and I were very excited to explore the shoreline and the caves going up the Lake Michigan coast. It was an adventure day!If we had spent more time researching our options, however, we would have chosen to just do a kayak rental and venture out on our own. Turns out - were not guided tours people. Know this about yourself before booking. The guides were helpful, knowledgeable, and shared interesting tidbits on the region and what we were seeing. Heres where they lost me - there was a wide range of skill level on our trip. We were towards the higher end of that range. It was challenging and frustrating to slow it down to the pace that the beginning-est of the beginners were at. We werent even trying that hard. Our tour guide, warm and friendly, had to ask us to slow down and wait several times. We did a lot of waiting. Not so much kayaking. Due to a capsizing issue with another kayak on the tour - there was more waiting.If you are a beginner or unsure about being in a kayak in open water - this is the tour for you. However, if you are fairly confident in your paddling prowess and are looking to explore at your own pace I would not recommend.

The sunset kayaking tour was not great. Our guide showed up 10 minutes after we were told to be there and then had to get the kayaks ready for the tour. We ended up starting the tour about 20 minutes late because of this. By the time we kayaked to the point the sun was almost set. We also thought it was a bit dangerous to be kayaking back after the sun had set. Would not recommend this tour.

My 9 y/o had an absolute blast zip lining. The two tour guides were super nice and so good with her. Felt completely comfortable - very knowledgeable and made it a great experience for her. We will definitely be back!

Very fun! Not a very difficult excursion. You do not need to have previous kayak experience. Unfortunately for us, the water was too high and too choppy to get close to the caves. It was, however, cool to see the shoreline from the water. Ive been vacationing in Door County for 28 years and have never seen it from the water. Our instructor was very friendly, knowledgable and patient with my less-experienced parents kayaking with us. I only gave it 4 stars because we couldnt explore the caves, nothing to do with DC Adventure Centers performance.

My wife and I had a rough start in the Dunes Kayak Tour with Connor being the instructor, Connor was very helpful but it was our first time doing this activity, after calling them and letting them know about our first failure, they were super nice and accommodated us again for another Kayak Tour in the sunset. We gave it a second chance and our tour guide James was very patient and very helpful, after our first failure we succeeded in the second one. I will highly recommend them to friends and family, they were also very helpful in giving us instructions on how to get there. Thank you so much DC Adventure for your patience, time and overall great experience.

Wow! The best zipline tour in Door County by far! The guides were hilarious and entertaining. And to top it off, it was great to actually have certified guides to make the experience a safe and enjoyable one. Even when some participants in our group were nervous about heights or zipping, the guides were always very patient and helpful. They let us go at our own pace without pushing the weary participants too fast. During the downtime the guides were very easy to talk to and they gave some awesome tips about what to do and where to go in Door County.Beyond that, the course is gorgeous! There is so much beautiful scenery around. I highly recommend a sunset or night zip. The sunset is amazing to see from up high and is always beautiful in Door County! Additionally, night tours are an experience in themselves. It is so calming just to be there with the stars above you and lightning bugs below you. You wont find that anywhere else.

Decided on short notice to sign up for the kayak tour at Whitefish Dunes State Park - and very glad that we did! Their website is very easy to use for signing up and paying for tours, plus the descriptions on the website were very accurate to the actual experience.Sue and Heidi were our tour guides. They were both very nice, super helpful, and took the time to make sure everyone was safe and comfortable with the whole process!The caves were awesome, but the best part was being able to see the Australasia shipwreck!I will definitely be signing up for another tour with these guys in the near future!!

Amazing customer service. Tried to sign up for Cave & Bluff kayak tour but missed the cut off for signing up online, so sent a message through Facebook. The office got in touch with the guide and offered us a time for the tour outside their normal tour time.Tour was fantastic. Our guide, Conner, was very friendly and passed on a lot of information about the caves, bluffs and the shipwreck. Highly recommend.

It was a wonderful experience! Sophie and Tim were fantastic guides, very patient and communicative through the whole process. Both were very skilled and very well trained. I was glad to know we would be out on the water with guides who not only knew the area, be assured me and the rest of the tour that they would be able to handle any emergency that popped up.We went on the Deaths Door tour, traveling in tandem kayaks.Having never been in a kayak before, it was hard to get the hang of steering, but our guides were able to help and give advice the whole time. I did expect to go further along to coast, but our group was slow - full of beginners. Kayaking is harder than expected!All in all, the tour was about 3 hours. We felt that we got a wonderful experience for the price. I would highly recommend this tour group and cant wait to do it again!

Our nationally-competitive sports team worked with Moira from DC Adventure Center in Madison, WI to create a team building experience to kick off our season the first weekend after tryouts completed. Moira worked with our leadership to create a personalized day with us to get exactly what we were looking for. Even after inclement weather made us change the game plan the day before our event, she took it in-stride and kept the day fast-paced and personal. Moira guided us through a series of exercises and facilitated personal communication between members of our team. We leave the weekend positive, on the same page, focused, and with a sense of accountability and pride that sets the tone in a positive way. Sunset Tour was very nice. Our guide (James) was very knowledgeable about the area. We reserved online but werent given a specific time for the tour so we went to inquire early @4:30pm the day of. We signed our waivers and were told to return around 6:15pm to meet our guide. We came back at 6pm and he was ready and waiting. Im not sure what time the stand actually closes so I would call ahead if you are doing the sunset tour.

Loved the Deaths Door Kayak tour! It was perfect weather and the waters were calm enough to see the ship below. We were surprised to see how close to shore it was. My daughter did the zip line at the adventure fun park. It was perfect for her first time. She was afraid at first, but the staff calmed her and guided her the whole way. They were amazing. I would definitely recommend. She wants to go again so next time were in the area were going to do one of the bigger courses.

We had a great experience. It’s not easy to get 9 novice kayakers in-line and moving. We had a varied group from 12 to 55. Fun was had by all. Our guide was particularly mindful of the changing weather and had us come in early to be careful.

We brought our college swim team to DC Adventure Center for a team building and leadership experience. It was an amazing day with a lot of learning and fun! Our team is a stronger group for this experience. Thanks Tim and Abby!

Everything about our time there was awesome! The guides were awesome explaining everything and making sure that we all had a great time and were safe about. The kids talked the whole weekend about how much fun it was!

My ten year old son and I decided to paddle board for the first time while at Egg Harbor Beach. DC Adventure Center was both professional and helpful. Our instructor made sure we knew what we were doing before sending us off into the water. He was also right there to help us get the board out of the water when we were done. We had a great time!!

First time paddle boarding. The team made it a breeze to learn and we had two hours of fun. $25 for 1 hour was plenty to cruise around the beach area. Plan to get wet. Great for teens!

My daughter and I visited Door County on a Birthday/Mom-Daughter weekend and one of our goals was to go kayaking. We stopped to talk to a couple of young women at White Sands and expressed the fact that we really didnt want to go on a tour as we have kayaked for years; we just wanted to rent kayaks for an hour or two and get out on the water. They were extremely helpful and told us your company does just that and were extremely helpful where to go. Your employees at Egg Harbor were just as pleasant, helpful and excited about making our mini-vacation one of our best. Great job!

Very friendly and helpful staff, safety is very obviously a number one priority. We had a large group and they were absolutely fantastic with every single one of us. Worth the money for sure. We did three zips and played the flying squirrel game. We were there for a least an hour and a half. It would probably take less time with fewer people but it is still a great value. Just cant say enough about the customer service over all, and the genuine friendliness of the people working there. I would definitely do it again!

My daughter and I stayed here and we cant say enough about how we enjoyed our stay. The people and the location was amazing. I dont think Ive ever stayed some where that was so clean. You always find something but not here. Loved it.

My two sons (9 and 6) had a blast on the zip line tour. The guides were awesome and the tour had just the right amount of thrill for them. We go to Door County every summer, but this is the first time we have gone zip lining. We will be adding DC Adventure Center to our itinerary again next year!

We have ziplined twice and kayaked too! The guides are skilled, super friendly and put safety first. Our experience has always been great and I would highly recommend them. Cant wait to plan next years adventure!

We tried zip lining and were very disappointed. While I can say that the staff was super friendly and did an incredible job, the website advertises an hour long zip line tour and we were done within THIRTY minutes consisting of a mere THREE zip lines. It was not much of an adventure for my boyfriend and me. Most definitely not worth $50!!!Later that day we also tried the Whitefish Dunes kayak tour, which was significantly better. However, the website again falsely advertised that we would see an Australian shipwreck and we saw nothing of the sort. We had fun and once again the staff was great, but not necessarily worth the money. Renting kayaks from somewhere would probably be a better option.Overall, this company provides wonderful customer service, but I would not recommend it if you are looking for an adventure.

Our daughter (10) wanted to try paddle boarding so we gave it try. The staff was very attentive to our needs and once in the water they came to the rescue of our daughter who could not figure out how to steer in the beginning.Once the staff helped her out of the boat dock area she was great but it was the staff who came to help and gave her encouragement.We had a great time and will do it again next year!

The staff was really nice and helpful. However, the sit on kayaks are pretty primitive and are a lot of work. My kids had a heck of a time controlling them and making them go straight. For rentals, I would rent out of Ephraim or another location.

Awesome place! Matt and Mora were fantastic guides and made it an enjoyable experience. I had never been zip lining before but I love it now! If youre heading to Door County you should definitely stop in at this place. My new wife and I went at the end of August and we were the only ones there!

Jamie our guide was amazing! We had a incredible experience out on Lake Michigan. Jamie made it easy and her confidence and guidance kept us at ease! I would give Jamie and DC Adveture center 10 Stars if I could.

We toured the Whitefish Dunes and Sea Caves. Our guide gave us a quick example of how to use the paddles and we were off. Our guide didnt talk much on the trip. He gave us a few facts of Lake Michigan. I would have liked more facts and history. We came to the caves and he once again gave us very little information on the caves. He was using his phone a lot which annoyed me. We did get to see the shipwreck which took some time to locate. We saw another tour group that seemed to be having more fun then we were. We will be picking another tour group if we return.

Unfortunately I spent way too much money on this zip-lining experience which was disappointing. The guides were a lot of fun, however, the fun lasted around 30 minutes with only 4-zips. I WAS aware that it would be short but I expected higher (we were only 30 feet off the ground!) and longer zips. This was just a teaser and for too much money. I wish I spent my vacation afternoon and $100 in a different way.

So far, Ive only rented kayaks at the DC Adventures Rowleys Bay and Egg Harbor facilities. Both are nice, safe paddles for relative beginners. I have had great experiences at both places and really want to do one of the longer tours someday soon. Equipment is nice and the staff is consistently friendly and professional.

Absolutely would recommend, the guides are knowledgeable and personable. Definitely a enjoyable part of our vacation.

The weather was too rough, and we still went out. However tall waves kept us from going far, so we turned back and were fully reimbursed. The instructor was very nice and understanding. I would go back, just on a nicer day.

Two of us did the kayak tour from whitefish bay state park. Heidi was a fabulous, experienced, knowledgeable guide. Group limited to 5 double kayaks which looked smaller than other tours. Calm waters allowed an opportunity to go in and very near the caves. Sit in kayaks with spray skirts - nice touch on cold water days. Also took two families to the zip line tour at the adventure center on ploor road. Farm views arent as great as a tour through the woods but the setting was lovely. The staff was great and they were very accommodating of small children (40lbs.) that dont meet the minimum weight at other places. Highly recommend doing the flying squirrel in addition to the zip line tour, too.

Our kayak experience on Rowleys bay and the Mink river was fantastic! Our guide, Andrew, was both professional, personable, knew his stuff and was definitely service oriented. He was in constant contact with all members of our group and tailored the experience for each based on their experience level and personality. He has a very welcoming personality and has the ability to read and establish a positive rapport with his clients very quickly. He is going to shine in whatever he does.

The guides were amazing and nature beautiful. But the water was so cold it ruined the entire experience. My feet, legs and hands were numb for hours after. Was not a great feeling..... Suggest you wait until water temperature is move than 55F....

We took the Whitefish Dunes-Cave Point kayak tour and did the Zip lining. Had a blast at both!! We were first timers in kayaks, the guide helped out a lot!! We enjoyed our time on the Whitefish Dunes tour so much that we bought kayaks of our own when we got home. Thanks some much for the memories created.

I would not recommend renting any vacation rental from this property owner. I booked this house this summer for a 3 night stay in the fall. The property was listed as between $219 and $255 a night. I booked 3 nights and immediately noticed I was overcharged. I contacted Chris to inquire about the $500 overcharge. He assured me that it was just a $500 deposit and I will get it back after the stay. Well, we stayed and I did not get the deposit back. I contacted Chris and he said, oh, the house was $400 a night, you should know that. Well, I did not know because I did not receive an itemized bill and he sent me an email telling me it was a deposit. He does not care that this happened and will not refund my money. We kayaked the whitefish dunes/cavepoint and it was fabulous!Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and really made the trip special.The color of the water is incredible and the rugged shoreline and caves aredefinitely not to be missed!Thanks so much for the great experience.
