This is one of the largest Kroger store, sparkly clean. You can get a number of things here including clothesline, toys, alcohol, etc. They have other areas where you can buy some warm food and drinks. You can even sit in the bar in middle of the store and drink wine or beer. Their customers service is nice. Love it!

Edit: This Kroger has been much better the last few months. I’m sure they are understaffed the way everyone is, but they are making it work somehow. 👏👏👏This store’s curbside pickup and pharmacy have a lot to desire. I have been here 45 minutes for one Rx and one curbside pickup. I hope my cold and frozen items are still good when I get home. This watermelon was loaded last next to the door so that when I opened it the watermelon fell out into the parking lot. My whole car smells like sticky watermelon juice.

I picked up groceries two days ago,I checked in at around 10:45-50 for 11-12 pickup. I was one of four cars there at the time. I got passed by for a half hour. At that point I texted the number on the sign in front of me thinking that maybe it was a glitch in the app. Nothing after 12 minutes so I called like the sign says to do after 10 minutes. I tell the employee I just wanted to make someone aware that I’ve been here for almost an hour I checked in on the app when I got here but just trying to make someone aware. He tells me he knows and he’s the only one back there and is trying to get things out in a timely manner.. which would be fine if there wasn’t another person bringing groceries out and I hadn’t had both of them walk past my car helping others that came after me for the past hour. This one worker seems to have an attitude every time I go to this location. The other worker that I didn’t speak with on the phone brought my groceries out at 11:56… I called Kroger’s customer service line and used the email link to review and haven’t heard from anyone yet. I loved using Kroger pickup because they have a lot of gluten free options and it’s better than the grocery stores closer to my house but I won’t ever use their pickup again. Disappointed.

Everything I need but the deli counter I don’t like the service or brands of turkey ham or Salami offered

This is by far one of my favorite locations. On todays visit I had the pleasure of working with Sherry and she is amazing! Although it was very busy today, she handled the self-checkout with effortless ease and efficiency. Keep being the awesome person that you are Sherry and I hope to see you again!

Great place to shop if you want to pay 15 to 20% extra for everyday items. Only saving grace they do have some items other stores dont.

Ive never been in a Kroger that was so clean and full of specialty sections. It even has a wine tasting bar!! Im very impressed. Were new to this area and were not disappointed with this store has to offer.

This store has a lot of specialty items we can’t find elsewhere, which keeps us coming back. Their wine and beer kiosk is also very nice. Highly recommended.

I have used this Kroger for a while. Todays trip was horrible. Lots of employees blocking aisles for stocking. Dairy stocker was on his phone while trying to work and has two carts blocking the aisle. The employee who bagged my purchases obviously just no idea what he was doing. It was an overall bad experience today. I hope things shape up.

Experienced at Kroger,1017 University Blvd, Suffolk, VA 234357:30am5/5/21I just left with a grocery cart half full due to feeling uncomfortable. There was a(description in case manager sees this- young white male, red shorts and a gray top and flip-flops, tattoos), who was walking around brazingly with no mask. I mean really just sauntering.. there was an associate in the bread aisle and she greeted me. I took the opportunity at that point to say Do you have a mask mandate in here? She said yes. I pointed literally to the guy who was about 20 ft from us in the same aisle. She just shrugged her shoulders and said I just stay away. Im fully vaccinated so I dont worry too much. She kept shelving and did nothing to approach the young man. When I saw that there was no help to be had in the store I took my half full grocery cart, and I usually do at least $150 to $200 worth of groceries at Kroger bi-weekly, and I checked out.This is unacceptable! Not everybody is vaccinated, number one!. Number two -enforce your own mandate. And number three- there was no resolution for a customer that was asking for it directly.Im very disappointed. Headed now to Harris teeter. This is the place I love to shop... I would love to hear a reply... We are still in a pandemic, and if I feel uncomfortable, this is a store I will not continue to shop.P.S.-tried the customer service desk while in the store and also called before posting this review, no one answered.

Being of a vulnerable age (covid), I like to do any grocery shopping after 10pm. No crowds. But while the shoppers were properly masked, some employees were not. I counted 3 employees stocking shelves with masks below their noses and 2 employees stocking with masks totally down. Including one in the exact area that I needed to find something. Tighten up!!

Love the area and this store has a huge selection. I was greeted at checkout by a friendly and professional guy named Jalan. He gives customers that hometown feeling and makes this location great.

These location has the absolute worse pickup. I picked a time, got a reminder and then the rudest young man gonna tell me not to come because they are an hour and half behind. I wont ever shop at this location again.

I usually have no issues with Kroger or this specific location, until today. A few days ago, I did an instacart order and practically everything I needed, they didnt have...the shelves were empty. And this wasnt for typically holiday dinner items either, just regular every day items are gone. Thats fine though, I didnt mind. This review is for today and the gas pumps were CLOSED. I get today is Christmas and the store itself is closed, but there is absolutely no reason for the gas pumps to be closed. You pay at the pump for a reason, an employee doesnt have to be there for someone to get gas. Its a holiday for crying out loud, people travel and need gas.

I went in to purchase bottled milk & heavy cream. I paid for the items first, which included a $2.00 glass bottle deposit. When I went to customer service to return my two empty bottles, she refunded me only $4.00 even though the refund receipt that I had to ask for showed refund to be $4.24. I then calculated my receipt and noticed that they taxed my bottle deposit.The cashier shared that its their store policy to only refund the $2.00 per bottle and not the tax. All those times I bought & returned those bottles, they never paid me my .24 cents. Corporate is passing their tax costs to me. Why not refund?????

Over an hour to pickup groceries. It would be quicker to forage versus ordering online.

I hate this location! Their grocery pickup is horrible. Twice now I have waited over an hour for my groceries. I arrived at the beginning of my pickup window and watched several people pull up after me and get served after waiting just a couple of minutes. No calls to tell me the order was late. No apologies or anything. I thought the first time was just a bad day for them, so I gave them another shot. But I guess this is the norm. I will not be returning to this Kroger. I had such great experiences at the Holland Rd. location. This one falls way below.

Huge! Ive never been in a Kroger Marketplace until yesterday. Its huge! Lots of selections and variety. I love that theres craft beer on tap!

Good store with much more than just food. It is new, very pleasant to shop there.

So i came in right around 7am trying to pick up some cereal and milk on my way to work. I didnt have time to go searching across the store for everything I needed. So I found the nearest employee and he was readily available and easy to find. Before I could say anything Brandon introduced himself and asked me how he could help. Then Brandon proceeded to walk with me to each individual item and help me search for the best choices and was quick with suggestions and encouragements. Brandon was super friendly, helpful, conversational and determined. If I have the opportunity I will hire that man and pay him double. Next time Im in north Suffolk and need anything I will stop by and ask for Brandon. He knows my name, used it, and swears hell remember me. And you know what? I believe that Brandon will remember me because I will certainly remember him and his excellent customer service. I wish I could promote him! Go Kroger. You got a good one with Brandon.

Arrived on time for my pickup order and had to wait for over an hour. Will go back to ordering from Walmart, Walmart is always timely.

I LOVE THIS PLACE. THE PEOPLE SPEAK TO YOU AND ASK IF THEY CAN BE OF HELP. SALES ARE GREAT. POINTS SYSTEM FOR GAS SAVINGS IS WONDERFUL. HOT BAR, SEAFOOD & MEAT DEPARTMENT ARE TRULY A PLUS.

The social distancing guidelines are inconsistently enforced. If you have a medical condition just accept that youre a second class citizen and can be discriminated against with impunity. Unless youre drinking wine of course, then masks AND social distancing are completely unnecessary.If there is a gentle man accosting you, even if its just you and your 11 month old, no one will step in to help. SERIOUSLY you are not safe at this location. They will not help you!!!

This is a great spot for butcher meats, seafood, grocery items, and even clothing.

I love shopping here, would drive 15 miles to shop at your old store.I enjoy talking to the associatesMany that i know by name. Evey one is happy to help. Its the customer service that means the most to me. They are trained very well, Its like the old days, Thanks for keeping prices down, it means I can eat everyday good food.I will tell you when I am not satisfied, you can count in it, and my loyalty.

It is a nice place to shop. I 9nly shop there when I am at that end of town. The associates really do not go out of their way to help you. I asked 3 associates for help with a price all they could do is point me to the (i) on certain poles so they could go back to talking to their friends or look at shoes on their phones. Some of the scanners were down or not working so had to walk all over the store to find a price check. Will continue to shop at Kroger Market Place Fredrick Blvd. their friendlier and more helpful.

What is there to say? I love shopping at Kroger - especially this Kroger. Ive never been dissatisfied with anything purchased here. I love the selection of food including the organic and healthy food options that are affordable. Love the deals you get with the Kroger card. I use the pharmacy there as well. The Starbucks can be a bit slow, but still tasty. The deli has delicious food. The gourmet cheese section is nice. Love that you can do wine tasting right in the middle of your grocery shopping. I even see people just hanging out, having a glass and watching the TV. Its just a really nice place to shop.

My first time being in any Kroger and it was great. Very clean and kept up with. I was pleasantly surprised to find a Starbucks inside which made it even more amazing! My husband and I are definitely planning on doing a lot of shopping there

Kroger Marketplace recently added scan and go. I love scanning my groceries and bagging them as I shop. Quick self checkout using the scan and go. The attendant in the front of the store taught me how to use the scanner. PS: its husband approved for the speed.

Great store, all employees were wearing masks correctly, customers were about 75% wearing masks.

I love this store! The prices are competitive with other grocery stores in the area. I love the gas points and other benefits offered to Kroger customers.This particular Kroger is always clean. Staff are courteous and always available to help. They have a beer/wine section where you can taste before purchasing.

Love this store! Employees are always friendly and helpful and store is clean and well ran. My only complaint would be that they have had a busted sliding glass door for months now and still haven’t fixed it. Makes this nice store look shaggy. But doesn’t affect the great atmosphere!

Great store. Has the Super Kroger format ( clothes, household goods etc...as well as food) Also has a wine/beer/cheese tasting area..with tables to hang out - always seems busy there. Cool store!

Krogers is a great store to shop in. Im glad the store sells different varieties of merchandise along with its food products. Fresh vegetables, strong flowers and other plants, etc. Its a superstore and Im proud to be card member there. Would be nice to open up one in Brooklyn, Manhattan, Bronx and Staten Island.

Nice shopping experience. Employees are always helpful, and courteous. The only isuue I have is, be sure to check your receipt for correct prices. On several occasions I have had many sale items ring up at wrong price.

Normally I wouldn’t leave reviews for grocery stores. However this particular location I’ve had issues with on multiple visits. They don’t keep sale items in stock and are extremely rude to the customers. I’ve had multiple employees get an attitude with me for simple questions. If your trying to shop the deals they will tell you to come first thing in the morning when they open or they could be sold out (this is what I was advised by a manager when I asked when they got shipments in so I could get the sales price).

Im spending more time in line than actually shopping. They have two register people, no one on the floor, and no one to help at self check out on a holiday weekend. The person who rung me up was too busy talking to the manager to speak to me.

I shop at Kroger often being a Pitmaster i like quality meats and i think they have just what i need to for my customers and also myself.

A huge Kroger. Lots of products and amenities, everything from jewelry and clothes to sushi and Starbucks. We like to go up for sushi lunch before getting groceries. The workers are very friendly. If you dont like crowds, however, this store is probably not for you.

I usually love this store but recently I’m assuming they changed store managers because the new one seems to be very unapproachable and unfriendly. I have seen him on more than one occasion inside the deli, bakery, and meat and seafood department without a hairnet and even the bald employees wear them..as a former health inspector I find it to be very UNsanitary and disturbing that he doesn’t put one on 🤔

This star is based on the speed and customer care of the Fresh Meals department. Of you want any fresh food item be prepared to wait up to 20 minutes or more. Rest of the establishment is 5 stars.

Love the fact that they have not only packaged meats, but you can also get fresh meats at the meat market counter. They have also fresh seafood, wine tasting on Friday and Saturday. Great sales throughout the store

I got charged twice for a computer glitch they refused to fix it.

I enjoy shopping at Krogers. I always find what Iooking for and then some items on sale that I wasnt looking for. The store is clean and orderly. The cashiers are pleasant and friendly. I look forward to Krogers opening in my area. I currently travel about 25 miles to shop there.

I loved Kroger until I tried their pick up service. Fruits and vegetables are terrible, some are rotten. You will never pick those if you go to store.

This Kroger is amazing, with everything you can think of. Produce is always top quality, store is always very clean, it has a growler fill station and beer selection is incredibly diverse and plentiful. There is also a Starbucks inside, and their cafe is also really good and extremely well priced. This place is like a mini mall, selling get clothing and accessories as well. Trust me, you wont be disappointed.

Great supermarket and more, always have what I need, the online and pickup service is great and the people are always friendly. Only issue I have is their carts, one wheel always has a flat spot so the carts are loud and bouncing. The place is always clean and well stocked

This is a well laid out store with everything from food to clothing. 12 craft beers on tap as well as wine. Bar setup and tables. Nice thing is deli and meat Dept close so you can grab wings or steamed shrimp as you enjoy a cold one.

One of my favorite grocery stores at the moment! They have a wonderful organic/natural section, as well as, a very nice organic produce section.The prices, in comparison with other grocery stores in the area, are less expensive with great sales, close out items, and clearance sections.The staff is very friendly and always knows where to steer me whenever I have a question. There is a great little sushi bar, a Starbucks, and even a nice prepared food section.

We have shopped Kroger since they came to our area and havent looked back. Their vegetables are fresh and their prices are reasonable. They are always friendly and accommodating and they always have what we need. There is one item that they quit carrying and now they order it just for us.

If you want a good choice of healthy foods then Kroger is you market. The price is a bit higher but the healthy eating is not cheap. I love just exploring for new organic and vegan options whenever I visit. They dont disappoint.

My experience here has always been a positive one. The employees are helpful and polite and its normally a one stop shop for me. Only downside is it can get super crowded sometimes.

The click list employees are absolutely the best. Polite, and their customer service is always on point. And i rarely see things out of place so whomever is restocking shelves is doing a great job

I love Kroger! What makes this grocery stand out from the rest is the fact that you can earn discounts on gas while buying things you would normally buy if you have a Kroger Card. Additionally, you can really earn extra fuel points by purchasing gift cards because you earn 2x the points. I like to stock up when they run the 4x fuel points special on gift cards. You can also download the app and download digital coupons to your card.The only thing I can think they can improve upon is their salad bar. Farm Fresh has them beat in this department in terms of selection. Overall though, its a wonderful store!

Great prices, great produce, etc. This store provides just about every dietary need for its consumers- gluten free, vegetarian food, dairy free, low sodium, kosher, and even a section of natural food items. Its been my experience that many grocery stores in the area dont provide such an abundant product selection.

Is it too much to acknowledge the customer in front of you at the cash register when they give you a genuine smile and greeting? We all have a bad day, but if its so bad you just sneer and grunt ... please go home. Kroger is usually a great place to shop with polite cashiers. Hope this isnt a trend.

A kroger that definitely lives up to its reputation. Their produce is always fresh and clean with a wide variety of organic foods. Always a clean facility in general and very helpful staff. I will say that they never have a fully functional cart. If youve found one, I envy you.

Since I can not live at Capt. Georges Seafood Restaurant, this would be my second home. Love, love, love this supermarket/floral sop/lunch counter and a reeeeeeeel deli. Seafood dept.is my absolute favorite. Fuel points are a plus.

I love shopping here its Bigger and have more of a variety. I especially love the seafood department being able to pick out what I want Not having to settle.

Just got my pickup order and I have chicken juices on everything! Not happy, cleaning my kitchen sanitizing my vehicle and tossing food away thats been contaminated! I need to call when Im not fuming!

Yogurt on sale not restocked. The kid restocking never asked if there was something in particular we wanted. Only 3/10 of what needed. Never did find the bread isle. Good sale on Coke products.

Store quite festive; wonderful holiday spirit in the air! Prices affordable. Clerk and Bagger made shopping experience calmer and less hectic! Ill be there again real soon.

I love this Kroger so much that I drive 20 minutes here every weekend! Theyre selection is great and the store is usually very neat and well-stocked! The one time I bought bad produce, they took it back without questions and even credited my account $5.

Jamal gave some of the best customer service I have had in a while. Very polite and friendly. I come here to get a soft drink that is hard to find in this area Vernors and sometimes its a hit or miss.

Totally agree with the other positive reviews! I wanted to comment on the great deals you can get on the clothing side if you pay attention to the weekly markdowns. The weekend before school started I was able to get my kids around $900 worth of clothes for about $125; the clearance racks were marked down to 80% off PLUS there was a sales ad coupon that took another 15% off.Theres also a Starbucks at this location, and if your there after 6PM the pastry case items are only $1 each!

This store is open at 7 just for seniors. It would be nice to put some signs out.

Outstanding! By far the best grocery store around. I havent been to a Kroger in the area that I dont like. If your looking for a good selection with good prices then Kroger is the place for you.

Kroger is my favorite grocery chain, its easy to navigate. I especially love my points and the barrage of coupons sent for things I actually purchase on a regular store. This store has it ALL!!!

Good wine and beer selection. Staff is very helpful. Good selection of fresh organic produce. Can be a bit pricey compared to Wal-Mart. Still can find great deals and good ready to eat hot meals.

Lived next to an ordinary Kroger grocery store in the Richmond area, and really missed the selection. The Kroger Marketplace takes things to a whole new level, and the people who work here are very friendly and helpful. Havent tried the gasoline, but everything else is top notch.

It was nice. A little disappointed because they were out of the weekend special. Need to sub. For something else. Dont like rain checks. Cant always get back to the store.

I needed a few grocery items and a couple locks. So glad I didnt need to make a second stop for the locks. Also glad the store isnt as mammoth as the super centers. Convenient, right size.

This store is too spread out for older people. Too many things not related to grocery shopping. Im sorry to say, Ill need to find a more convenient, smaller place to shop. Harris Teeter comes to mind.

Nice store. It carries every product you could want. SUPER coffee selection. Prices on produce a little high and you might steer clear of the fish market .... if you can smell it, keep walking.
