Pro tip: Think of 99 Range as 1/4 restaurant, with good cheap eats of Chinese roasted pork, duck, Taiwanese rice bowls and much more.They also carry many fresh/live seafood at a much cheaper then your standard grocery stores. Same for fresh asian & American veggies. This store is very new and clean.

Two times in a row now i have gotten spoiled seafood from where they put out the sushi grade fish. i got sushi octopus today and it says its good for 2 more days and it smells awful and is slimey

Lovely market. I always find such delicious foods here. And they have roasted peanuts a lot! Their fruit tea from the bakery is absolutely delicious and refreshing to have on a hot day. Bakery has lots of delicious breads. And theres a great assortment of teas and snacks. Plus you can pick up lunch/dinner here as well! Theres lots of fresh fish/seafood for those who like that. Great place. I highly recommend going. Plus everyone is masked up and its great.

Horrible customer service. I was lookin for dried seaweed. The first person didn’t understand even with a picture! He added a lady, her response was WE DON’T HAVE ANY. I asked another person. NO. by the 4th person, he was smart enough to get the manager. Manager walked me right to a selection of at lease 4 kinds!!! That’s nothing but RUDE.

Still the best place for Chinese groceries. It has everything I needed and also with great service cleaning the fishes. So convenient...

Our cashier Patricia was polite, helpful, & welcoming. Everything was easy to find and had reasonable prices. We traveled 2 hours roundtrip from across town and we were not disappointed. Each time after shopping at this market, I always told myself” give them another chance..”,Neither all of them greeted customer nor said thank you after finished the check out & also instead of asking me if I have a reward card, each time they just used pencil & pointed toward to it which taped over the counter, it was annoyed.Wonder if they don’t speak English, DON’T CARE about customer services or it’s just their culture?Customer Service is one of the factor to business success. I hope the owner will take action & put all employee back to customer service training.

99 Ranch Market is one of my go-to when Im buying fresh produce. Its shelfs are always organized based on the Isle information. The employees are friendly and patient with you. Dont hesitant to ask someone for help, whether its the produce stock personal or the ones stocking the shelfs.I actually want to thank the lady who helped my mother. So one day my mother had a lot of things in her mind. She paid for her produce and supplies, but she was about to walk out the store. A kind employee (Whom ever you are THANK YOU!) was running to my mother with her groceries. Her response Gosh, I forgot to grab my grocery until this young lady ran up to me with my groceries. She told me in the car, because I always drive her since we live nearby. I want to thank 99 Ranch Market for having such exceptional employees who cares about their customers. This is one of my favorite asian stores. Half of what I buy ia from here and wellfresh, jusgo.Although its small, its packed with so much.The seafood section is great as well. I usually would just buy a whole fish have it cleared then fried.The prices are good as well. Clean and organized. The staff are great too.

If you are Puerto Rican and desire to make sofrito, this is cilantro to visit. They carry recao or culantro.

Note that the product rots and smells.The chicken drumsticks I bought smelled bad.I bought a fresh old chicken. After it was thawed in the refrigerator, it was found that the inside of the chickens chest cavity was rotten and bad, and there was a clear smell. What is annoying is that the billing statement showed that a second fee was charged. One is $5.49 and the other is $5.65.The bill for a black-bone chicken I just bought today is $11.99. When I was preparing to cook, I found that the inside of the chickens breast cavity was rotten and deteriorated, but the appearance was intact.You dont know where the frozen meat comes from, when it was produced, and you never know what the shelf life of the meat is.

I have very bad experinces with the deli. i went there twice in different times. they are workers lacking customer service experince. rude and cant unserstand english even mandrain. i saw a lady who spoke mandrain to a lady who only spoken cantonise. they had hard time to understand each orther. no one manage the lines. peoples just not oneline. someone get the order first even he come late. and they dont care!i

This place is amazing! Fresh imported vegetables and fruit, seafood, meats of every kind and specialty items. Their prices are well below your standard grocery stores like HEB and Kroger. They have a rewards card that gives you some pretty awesome discounts. I highly recommend this place and not just for the specialty foods. If you want fresh meats and seafood that you cant get anywhere else then you should come here! They have an amazing deli that serves fresh made authentic Chinese and vietnamese foods that are delicious and reasonably priced!! Give this place a try you wont be disappointed!

Fair prices for groceries but store is small and tight. Aisle are small and overflow with goods. Fast food is limited and not a lot of good food. Bakery is ok with decent selection. Can get very busy after work hours.

We asked a store representative to tell us about what enzymes and type of oil used in a bread due to allergy concerns. The store rep was very nice and said she will call her supervisor to answer these questions. Supervisor came annoyed and agitated and was very rude. She told the sales rep to let us know that she is not interested in answering these questions and to leave if we dont want to buy. That was just unebelievable to witness and was an unfortunate experience.I think the supervsors and management team need customer service training.

I decided to make a pot of Pho for the first time. 99 Ranch had all of the things I needed. Pre-sliced rib-eye and beef ribs, bones, tendons, spices, herbs and noodles. They also have a huge selection of fresh whole fish. Im not familiar with many of the packages goods but if you are looking to explore new things, I recommend this place. Also, the prices are good!

You can find asian snacks and ingredients here! The store is clean and organized, even with the pandemic. Long lines if youre there when theyre busy. Later, it isnt as much of a problem. Proper PPE is worn by the staff and is required to enter.

I think it is losing customers to its next door competitor - Jusgo - grocery store. In fact, I went there to check it out and talked to a couple of people to get their opinion. Ranch has fallen behind in quality of merchandise and lay out. So I shopped there instead. And saw the difference for myself. I agree with the two folks I spoke with. Jusgo is simply a better quality store. Shame because Ranch used to be a good store.

Today I Bought 2.12 lbs fresh salmon fish, after the worker chopped it for me, I went home weight it again, only 1.6 lb, unbelievable

Honestly, 99 Ranch is cleaner than other Asian grocery stores Ive been to, and I do like to shop there. I was really disappointed this time however. Bought a pack of ready to eat pork ear on Christmas eve, but saw mold had grown when opened it. I went back and returned it. Lady at customer service was nice. She said sorry and gave me two pieces of cakes for free for the time I wasted on driving back and forth. I think I will still shop there, but will try to avoid those ready to eat packed dishes.

Looking for some authentic Japanese ingredients, this was an obvious choice. It was fun to browse and see unusual items. The diversity of chili sauces, for example, was astounding..I had a bit of an issue finding what I wanted. I could fault it for not having location cards for items, but most grocery stores omit these. The difficultly I had wasnt much different than at any new store, whether its Kroger or Aldi. This just happened to be me looking for strange things on top of the new store. When I finally swallowed my manly pride and asked for help, I was immediately directed to what I needed.

Pros: rich variety, reasonable price, fresh produce, better choice then WelfreshCons: food court fellows r so mean, they always present a poker face, arrogant, and customers are almost begging for utensils or napkins. We now visit Welfresh more often just because we hate the food court fellows.

I love love love this store! There is EVERYTHING you need to make an oriental meal and if you are from an Asian country you will be right in your element here. There are a million different kinds of Sakes and a bazillion types of sauces and the veggies are amazing! I discovered little button mushrooms and I’m hooked! They are so good with grilled fish! Yum! The freshness of the food in the fruits and veggies isles is top notch. The fish section is interesting. The fish are alive in tanks but you can get it frozen and fillets too. There is a small bakery and a food stall and they have Peking crispy ducks hanging to buy. I’ve never tried Peking duck but maybe one day I will. It was fun exploring this store! The only complaint I have is the isles are too narrow and there are not enough cashiers. Other than that it’s a neat place!

I would have given this place a 5 star but aside from quality produce and affordable price, their employees attitudes, demeanor are left to be desired. They are just not very friendly and can be rude at times. Not all of them but Id say majority of them.Im willing to pay a little more to not have to deal with grumpy cashier. So, unless Im in the area, I dont go out of my way to shop here.Good customer service goes a long way.

99 Ranch is a large chain of Asian markets, there are several in the Houston area. The one on Highway 6 is nicer than most, it doesnt reek of fish, and has a very good selection of produce. This is a perfectly good choice for Asian products and produce. There is a lot of competition in this market, with another great Asian grocery just a few minutes down the road. Ill still visit her for spacious items that I know they carry.

There were some fish that appeared dead in tank.....should have been removed as to not contaminate the live fish. In addition, some fish that were placed on ice appeared to be of not for human consumption. Waljed next door to JUSTGO and their seafood side was very clean appealing. I am shopping at JUSTGO from now on.

I was very surprised to see live crawfish at this place. They were bigger and the price was lower than other places. We could pick our own blue crabs or crawfish with tongs. They have the best pork. Being a southeastern Asian, I love pork with thick skin.

As always 99 Ranch had everything I needed. Freshest veggies and fruits. The meat department is fully stocked and has some of the best pork belly cuts weve found.

Nice clean Asia market. I like they’ve live fish, Lobsters, crab. I like duck noodles at Small cafe and Bakery is so so good. A lot of Asia fruits and vegetables. My daughter loves Asia candy. Many different kinds of rice you can buy at 99 Ranch Market.

Lots of selection at this 99 Ranch. Accommodating to all your Asian needs. The inclusion of a bakery with only 99 cent milk tea is a nice inclusion and very well worth it in comparison to other store prices of 4 dollars for the same taste. Vegetables and fruits are decently fresh at times and at good prices.

I have been a very loyal customer since the day it has been open :-)! Im so glad that they have Point score every time you go shopping and if you reached $1,000 you get a free $10 gift card to buy anything:-)! The reason why I give a three-point score its because one time me and my friends went to the butcher and because they dont understand English too well but one of the butcher know enough to tell us to take the pork belly home and chop it on a cutting board by ourselves I was so shocked the way he treated us that I was so extremely disappointed and insulted and felt that they really had very bad customer service so my friend decided not to buy it no more because after that comment they ignored us :-(! I do admit that they have wonderful food and selections and Samplers for you to try each type of food some prices are too high and some prices are great deals :-)! Hopefully, next time we will not have a bad experience but I just know one thing the cashier needs to be more friendlier and expressive and especially put a smile on their face!! Have a great time shopping there and enjoys free snacking :-)!

A great variety of items that arent available at other supermarkets. If you enjoy making Asian cuisine, this should be your first stop.

They have a nice setting, cute bakery, clean seafood place and great restaurant. It becomes packed and tight inside the store but the workers work fast.

I always buy fish from this store. But this time i want to show two options to my wife and send photo of them. The guy who works there yelled at me “ no photo! No photo!” FOR WHAT ??? If you don’t want to show anything, just put there “NO PHOTO” sign! You can’t yell to people!!!! I hope the owner reads this comment!! Ridiculous!!
