Never have I ever encountered such terrible customer service and bad attitude from cashier. Today she throw my change on the counter not even putting the change in my hand. Cashier women never say hello or goodbye or have a nice day. They just know how to take your money and thats it. To management you need to know how to train your cashiers with customer service remember that your customers pay your bills and pay your employees you need to treat them with a little bit more respect. You also need to learn from HEB. You dont need to make everybody wear a mask if they are vaccinated!! If you are scared then you wear the mask dont make your customers wear it also . The CDC is not always right they have been incorrect on many many occasions just for your information.

Hello. I want to start off by letting you know me and my family are fully vaccinated. Today I went to Welfresh with my mother just like we usually do. We entered the store without a mask on and browsed the aisles filling up our shopping cart with many groceries for thirty minutes. As we reach the checkout line, the cashier starts scanning our products. A young gentleman runs out to us and tells my mother to put on a mask. We did not have a mask with us and we are regular customers of Welfresh and they never asked us to wear a mask before. They made a spectacle of us and told us to leave the store. They drove my mother to tears over this and I am very livid. This is totally unacceptable behavior from the manager. You need to tell people when they enter the store that they need to wear a mask. You cannot berate them at checkout after 30 minutes of shopping. We are loyal customers of Welfresh but we are never going to shop there ever again. I demand a response from a representative of Welfresh. They violated Texas law today.

Editing my five star review. I always loved coming here specially due to the meat and seafood section. The people here are very friendly and helpful.I came today to buy 2 things. Saw that the #8 cashier has a cashier. i usually buy a lottery ticket here. As I approach the cashier said its closed. I do have 2 things to pay for, so I figured Ill pay at his counter and buy a lotto too aince theres a line on the 2 other cash registers that are open. He said its closed. I asked if the lotto too, and he said that its open. So I purchased one ticket, and another person went to his register and paid there. He assisted them and let them pay at his register. Another one went ahead and paid. Wow. So you choose customers who can pay at your register? Unbelievable. Other than that, the other staff are amazing and friendly thus the 4 star.

The reviews are correct: (1) One finds many more products here than what’s usually sold in other Asian supermarkets; (2) the place is clean, and well-organized. The workers on the floor do their work well, including the cashier who took care of me. I was very pleased to find food products from more Asian countries under one roof. They had ones from Japan, Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, Vietnam, Philippines, and of course, China. They have a meat and seafood section, along with a vast produce section. There’s ample parking in front, and this store is sandwiched between many Asian restaurants that are highly-rated. Enjoyable shopping experience!

I called and asked one question before I made that journey to that side of town and the guy that answered was rude like nobodys business. Perhaps my money isnt good for this store? Ill continue to give my business to my go-to store.

Come to find out its a Taiwanese based grocery supply .. What I admired most though, was the support system in which is heavily contributed by the community .. Now, heres what lead to this post .. Im African American, shopping in a Taiwanese market .. Houston, I needed help .. A translator at least perhaps .. And then, I had the privilege of meeting a few workers to share my reasoning for being there .. They had me covered like a blanket, and because of it .. As the name Wellfresh Market It looks Well . Theres one thing my personal favorites that the Veggies here are FRESH last longer in my refrigerator.

We have been coming for years since this place use to be Wellfarm and now Welfresh. Good food, groceries and the things we need for Malaysian snack items.

My go-to Asian market in the area because its not as crowded as 99 Ranch/Jusgo, but it still offers more or less the same selection. Sometimes its even cheaper than the competitors. Ive also found items here that I havent been able to find elsewhere like Bull Dog Tonkatsu Sauce. Im only taking off a star because of the limited Korean product selection.

The best deal on Cha Cha brand sunflowrr seeds! $2 59 per bag!!! 99 Ranch market wanted over$3! Nice and clean inside, just dont forget your mask.

I absolutely love this place. they have a wide selection of everything. their floors are supper fun to slide on and the carts are not loud at all. they play good music In the background and their food is very tasty, especially their home made tortillas

This chinese grocery carries all different kinds of Asian food and local produces. They used to sell fresh gingers at loose. Now they bag it for you so you have to buy a large bag even you only need a small piece. This is the reason I gave it 4 stars. The deli sells many ready to eat type of food. $5 box can feed 2 people. Worth the money. The mad lady(老干妈) hot pepper sauce is very cheap compared to Amazon. This is a great gift for anyone who likes spicy food.

Called numerous markets for pickled garlic and we finally found it here. After exploring we found endless brands of chips we love and flavors we have never seen before, as well as candy and frozen treats. Definitely worth coming to next time for exotic delicacies !!

Brought to you by my dad.New doctor appt for dad in Sugarland. As we are leaving, dad mentioned seeing in the Chinese newspaper 2-3 years ago about a grocery store in Sugarland. And here we are.Went in early afternoon on a Tuesday.There is a Taiwanese food spot and a Asian deli style food place towards the front. Dad was interested in the deli style food spot and picked out a 4 combo lunch box. 2 meats + 2 veggies and rice for $6.75. They had quite a a good variety of options from chicken to pork. And lots of vegetables. I got me an egg custard. They also had jung (sticky rice wrapped in banana leaves), bbq pork, fried breads, tea soaked eggs and other food options.The grocery store is very clean and organized. Lots of fresh produce and a nice variety of meats and seafood. Aisles of all the staples needed for Asian cooking. Lots of sales and deals.They have a nice mix of different ethnic Asian ingredients. I noticed they had some Filipino baked goods towards the front too.Def would be a go to spot if we lived closer. Its not tooooo far from Chinatown, Bellaire so may come back with dad (sooner than later since he enjoyed the lunch box)

Overall Welfresh has very good pricing. But Veggies are always priced higher than the other two Asian markets nearby. However, I always able to find the items I need which the other two lack of them.

I have been coming here for years. There are some things you can find here that you can’t find at the traditional grocery. I am giving a one star review because they did not allow me to return a product that was no longer good because part of it was already consumed. Any other grocery had a no questions asked return policy. The customer service has always been not that great here. I’ll bring my business to 99 Ranch.

The best Asian market in the Houston area. I’m from Taiwan and I can find so many Taiwanese things here. The environment is clean and tidy, unlike some other Asian markets. Also, they have many discounts which can help me save my money. Love it!

We went to this store to shop often and today we bought a bag of bread, and it is found that bread has mold on it and must be put on shelves for long time. We have to throw it away. The store is definitely badly managed and foods are not fresh at all. Will never return to this store !

Its a nice supermarket selling mainly asian foods and some american foods. You can find many seafood and condiments.

Okay, so I like to make a few things that are easier and better to buy here. I come for rice wrappers to make my own spring rolls, I love making my own vermicelli bowls, and beef soup. I dig slow cooking pork balls in BBQ sauce and pouring them over my noodles. Im particular about Hoison sauce, sesame oil, and Dumpling sauce, so this is my go to. And soup dumplings and pot stickers are a huge selection here. But most impressive is if you want to do strictly vegan, but want your meat taste and texture too, they have a huge frozen selection of meat flavor infused soy and tofu products.

This is where we buy fresh meat n produce weekly. I love the watercress, cilantro, n many green leafy vegs. Also i find the meat prices much lower than other stores.

Literally everything including tea, crackers, canned good, etc. Their produce is fresh. And the SEAFOOD!!! Oh my goodness Ive never seen such a selection of fish and seafood. Some fresh, some frozen. There is also a market too for things like rice cookers and other import items. Go! Dont be intimidated if youre not Asian.

Cashier tore package. I requested another package. Cashier refused. I left the store without all items. This is the second bad experience I had going there and leaving everything. Do you have minus stars? Ph well a 1 will have to suffice.

Went and tried their fried dough sticks (youtiao) from their ready to eat line, and although they appeared dark and over-fried upon first glance, I decided to give it a chance anyways. Worst decision I could’ve made. These youtiao were definitely overdone, way too oily, and nothing like what you would find at a chinese restaurant or even other chinese supermarkets. Would definitely not recommend.

Very good oriental market. They have vast selection and you will find some more harder to find items here. I was able to locate all the items I needed (specifically squid) to recreate a dish I had tried in Korea. I come here every time I want to experiment with cooking an Asian dish.

The store is very clean, organized, and well stocked. Prices ate reasonable. I just wish their business will get better soon. Theres just too much competitions in sugar land and the nearby Chinatown.

Good selection of Asian foods. Mostly Vietnamese and Chinese, with some Korean products as well. They have a lot of frozen dumplings/potstickers to choose from, as well as quite a large aisle of chips and snacks. This store is a great place to pick up various cutlery and specialty cookware, too.

This is a nice Asian market, similar to an H Mart or a Ranch 99. They have a very good produce selection, as well as the expansive seafood section one would expect. The process seemed reasonable. Theres a Ranch 99 not far down the street, but this sure seemed reasonable busy. Ive been here before and will undoubtedly return.

The customer service is horrible at the checkout line. My receipt was thrown to the end instead of handed to me and so were my items in the bag. I was not greeted or thanked for my service either. I will not be shopping here again and I will definitely speak the word about how good paying customers are treated.

Im not sure why the customer service has such bad reviews. I just walked in with a picture of what I was looking for and 4 people helped me to find it. The service is incredible and they found exactly what I needed to make spicy boiled fish!!! The prices are very good as well. Thank You :-)

Nice place. Everything is clean. If are you looking for Asian products this is the right place for you. I bought some freshwater fish and the price is reasonable. The employees give a good and friendly service. If they keep this kind of service of course this will be one of my favorite supermarkets.

Welfresh is my favorite Asian super market in Houston met area. Good veggies, meats and seafoods selections, friendly staffs. It’s also very spacious. I am lucky to be near this market. They also have promotion from time to time.

Great selection of Asian goodies, especially from China, Taiwan, etc. Fresh produce (with way too much packaging, but anyway). If you cant find something, the manager is very helpful and will WALK WITH YOU to find it (instead of waving in the general direction or just telling you an aisle number). Excellent selection of Asian candies, tea, FROZEN VEGETARIAN MEAT SUBSTITUTES, etc. Household items selection is rather small. My only complaint is that sometimes the smell from the butcher and fish make the whole store smell bad. But they have prep foods and a nice place to sit.

I have been to this asian store before many years ago. Ive seen a lot of improvements now, and it is much cleaner and organized, the seafood section smells decent . It is just too compact, that two customers in the isle with a cart could possibly collide. They will accept credit card, only if l have items, worth 5 dollars and above. I cancelled the transaction.Ranch 99and jusgo market would allow any amount. Im retired and l would like to see which store has the best price for my money. Ranch has free fish fry. Off course l give a dollar tip that no one cares to give. I have yet to research what options jusgo supermarket can offer.

Clean and well organized. Enjoyed the pleasant shopping trip. Stopped by to pick up some gifts for a friend who we are paying a Chinese Lunar New Year visit. Frozen yellow pompano is only $1.99/lb! They come four tails to a pack. Already thawed is $3.99/lb. (I am going to freeze them anyway.) Some of the gifts items I bought are New Year Cake (sweet sticky cake), apples (平安 peaceful/safe), tangerines (wealth), and fish (abundance). 03II2018.

The market has a service desk, the only person work there most of time, her name is Jessica, she is VERY. VERy loud. Here mannerism is rude and obnoxious. She said, I should not speak English to her... She only want to converse in Mandarin Chinese. And she be little me, as the fact that I didnt speak Chinese to her. She come to this country to enjoy the freedom and liberty from the Communist China, she want to force the restriction of freedom speech to the citizens of United States . I do not know why WELLFRESH market employees such unfriendly, loudmouth person ito represent their customer service. Very disappointed. I cant understand these people that grew up in the communist country, if they dont like the mannerism and the culture and of this country, WHY, dont they go back to their country. Instead of a forcing their culture and mannerism to the US citizens.

Ive never been to a Chinese/Japanese (apologies if it is neither) supermarket before. I had some time to wander through and found a wonderful place to get things that are not found in normal stores. I will definitely make another trip to find other obscure goodies!
