I had an Okay sales experience but worst after sales experience.Sales Experience:Be aware when buying a car, they will tack on extra dealer installed items that can total up to 2,000 dollars and more without an option to take it off. They will up sell you the items because they need the extra profits to take care of their employees. I ordered the car without adding extras, but was told that it comes with these extras and I need to pay for them, even if I dont need them like Nitrogen Filled Tires, Resist All etc...I happened to talk to 2 sales people and one of them keeps disrespecting me, you should respect your customer, but should not be disrespectful, that is Customer Service 101 if you need business.Finance Experience:Finance team offered a 72 months finance option on 3.99 APR, and I wanted them to run the credit again so that I can have a finance option of 48 - 60 months rather than 72 months. The website says that it is 1.99 APR for 60 months on new car, and they would argue that it is for Lease and they would not run it. After I showed the website, they mentioned the corporate website itself was wrong. I was forced to take 72 months finance against my choice.After Sales Experience:I received the survey rating, and I meant to give 10 but by mistake gave a 9 instead and submitted. The sales person calls and messages me, and then curses me on how can I do it and all. I explained that it was an honest mistake but wouldnt listen to me but starts yelling at me, and says that I am a bad person etc...
I was very satisfied with my last service. Acura’s focus on good customer experience is apparent the way Andy handled my most recent service and by the way has always handled my services. He communicates all the time helping me to adapt to changes and stay informed during the service. It was also great to share something about each other’s family and encourage one another in these challenging times. Thank you Andy!
I couldn’t ask for better customer service at our SugarLand Acura location. She went above and beyond expectations. Communication was on point and explaining what was repaired on our car. Her congenial way of relating is definitely a strength.
I bought a used car and it is AMAZING!! I love it so much. They made sure it was clean and ready to go for me. The salesperson, Nico, was awesome. They were all extremely helpful and transparent when it came to the state of the car and the costs. I would highly recommend this dealership!
Ive been a car owner for many years, and an Acura owner since 2006. While I reside in Michigan and leased my 2019 TLX here, I will soon be relocating to Houston and drove my car down there earlier this year.I stay with my daughter and her family in Richmond while I am visiting, and twice have had the occasion to take my car in to your location for oil changes and other regular maintenance.Both times it has been my pleasure to work with Andy Garcia in your Service Area. I have not experienced a more personable, professional and knowledgeable service advisor. Other than driving my car, I know little about the upkeep and Maintenace that is required. Andy was patient and thoughtful in walking me through what was recommended, why, the cost, and how long it would take for the work. He also helped me get set up at a workstation so I could work while waiting on the necessary maintenance. And, when I found out Id made my service appointment in error at your other location, he saved my day by somehow working me in.Leasing a car for me, usually takes 1 or 2 days. Proper servicing and maintenance on a car take regular, ongoing visits. Andy has twice made these visits for me painless and efficient. You should be proud to have someone of his caliber on your team.
Great experience every time I stop by. Mike was super helpful and the on site service/repair team did an amazing job filling in a small crack on the windshield of my car. Can’t recommend them enough!
Highly recommend! The customer service experience is phenomenal! Every time I’m there, Margo never disappoints me. She is attentive, compassionate, and makes sure the customer is comfortable. I had an overall great experience with purchasing my newest vehicle. I would like to greatly extend my appreciation for Jay+Phillip for their hospitality, patience, and overall service with my husband and I. I was given over the top service from the moment I walked into the lot and have continued receiving follow up questions and concerns after purchasing with Jay and Phillip.I really appreciate that they have followed with making sure my vehicle is in the same quality from my introduction to even asking if I need any assistance with navigating the car’s interior/operating system.My only critique is that wait time with finances could’ve been faster but I was greeted and helped out and driving out the lot in under 3 hours total time. Update 03/20/2021 - The GM Mr. Powell, took care of everything. He asked me to reach out and made the situation right. I took my car to the body shop and he took care of the rest. Now its looking like it was again. Thank you for making it right!--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Damaged my car with their complementary hand wash. First and foremost, false advertising as they run the car through machine wash even though clearly stated on the bill as a handwash. They damaged the hood by trying to take bird poop out and scratched up the areas and took the paint off. The manager and advisor said it wasnt them and did not take responsibility for it. Even though it wasnt there before I brought it in and they said they couldnt tell when I brought it because the car was dirty and it was under their shade so they couldnt see it, and thats why they didnt make a note on their report. All lies, they scratched up my car and wont do anything about it. Also insinuated that when I came to check my car after it was ready that I went to the front to check the hood like I knew it was there before. I think most people always check their car after they get it back from the mechanic or dealer and the sun was blazing at the scratches so it wasnt very hard to miss it.The only reason I brought the 2019 TLX is that it failed the ECG portion of the state inspection. I brought the car one week ago and they said they couldnt do anything about it and just need to drive it. Then when I brought it back a week later after it failed again they were able to reset the computer codes and fix it, something they could have done the first time I brought it in. I tried to bring it in twice before and once they called and canceled my appointment said, dont bring it in just drive it. After driving 300 plus miles and still not able to pass the inspection they were able to take me in. I ended up having to pay for state inspection twice, even though I didnt ask for the dealership to do the state inspection I just wanted the codes to be ready so I can take it back to the original place I failed the inspection and get it passed. The dealer only drove 2 miles on it to get the ECG code ready. So obviously they could have fixed it the first time I brought it.Horrible service, in the end, damaged my car and now I have to take it to a body shop to get it fixed. They said they could send it to their detail for $300 and charge me but still wouldnt fix the paint they took off and would need to go to the body shop to have it repainted. Will never come back to this dealership and horrible experience with Acura now in general. Doesnt take responsibility for the damages they cause. Beware, and be sure to take pictures before taking it in for service and also probably best to turn down the complimentary car wash.

Even from the start, I wasn’t sure who to go to for service when I walked in and she asked right away if I needed help. She explained everything in detail and even took me back to the shop to show me what was needing to be replaced. She made me feel confident and secure that I was getting the appropriate suggestions for services I needed. I definitely wouldn’t let her go as an employee. Now I know why..I was impressed with OZ and April, but after that customer service ceased. Seem all were more interested in standing and talking to each other rather than working at making a sale. And I was really wanting that Tahoe. Not a experience I would suggest to anyone.

My husband and I saw a used car on the website and were very interested. I went by on 4/21 to test drive the vehicle. I was greeted very quickly and pointed in the direction of the used car salesperson. Esther Adekoya was very friendly and knew exactly what car I was talking about. She quickly brought the car around so that I could test drive it. I came back from the test drive and decided to go through with the purchase. The process was seamless and quick. This was the fastest car buying experience I have ever had and met all the requirements I had for financing, down payment, and monthly payments. I highly recommend this dealership for your car needs.
GREAT FRIENDLY SERVICE! They had a used Nissan Altima for $3500 - yes $3500. Mike Tran assisted and helped us like we were buying a brand new car. He was very patient and helpful and answered all our questions honestly. The sales manager Kenny even gave us a deal on the $3500 price tag. They even detailed and prepped car before pick-up. Great team of employees - Jamarr Carswell was great.
It was a great experience. Nico was great, i went in wanting a specific vehicle and it was being looked at by someone else. But lucky for me they did not decide to go with it and I did. Jamarr was great with the rest of the paperwork and had great conversation with him. All and all I would definitely recommend the dealership but specifically Nico and Jamarr.

The staff has been wonderful- always polite, professional, warm, and friendly. I receive updates on my car’s service in a timely manner and cost estimates have been spot on. He made my visit seamless & pleasant while getting what I needed done. Will definitely come back.

The service and the staff are great but the wait is always longer than explained so if they say 2 hours, it means 3. The wait is not too bad though because they have a nice facility with drinks and snacks. It’s nearby restaurants and shops so you could kill time elsewhere too. Overall, I’ll come back again. Buying a vehicle here has been great!!! There wasnt the pressure of having to buy their cars.I do know one thing is Ms Margo Bearb has been a blessing to me. From the get-go she made sure everything was spot-on with my car. She noticed the car had a re-call on the lights, she had them replaced, she noticed areas needing attention that my sales guy didnt. When I had an issue, she came on her day off to take care of me. Acura has a shining star with Ms Margo on board. I have provided 5 starts rating two years ago with great experiences from the sale team when I bought my 2019 Acura MDX. They are still awesome, especially Easter!However, I have chosen to update it to 1 star due to a terrible experience at service department yesterday.I stopped by the dealership yesterday for the SRS light on issue of my 2004 Acura MDX, basically the light is on when fasten the seatbelt on the passenger seat. I fully aware that most of the issues from SRS light on are safety issues and should be repaired at no cost, but the feedbacks that I received just shockingly incorrect. I was advised with multiple feedbacks with false information. Here are the false informationFalse information 1 - The SRS light on is normal when there is someone or heavy objects on the passenger seat when the seatbelt is fasten. And I went home to check the user manualFalse information 2 - Different models has different meaning for SRS light on when I confronted him with the user manual that SRS light on is a problemFalse information 3 - The issue is OPDS unit and It costs $2000 to replace it. But per part department info, it only cost $303.43False information 4 - In order to diagnose the issue, it will cost $361 due to 2 hours of checking on all the sensors. He still gave me the same answer (cost $361) for just checking/diagnose the issue after I had asked three times.I have no choice but drive my car to another further Acura dealership to ask for help. They were very friendly and helpful and suggested to drop it off for diagnose. Within 2 hours, they were able to confirm the issue - buckle set is broken. Part being order on the same day. Scheduled for replacement on next Wednesday.For Sterling McCall Acura Sugar Land, I really hope this is NOT your principle of servicing the customers, and maybe this is just one of the bad days for the particular service consultant and not able to justify the appropriate actions.I live in the same community where your dealership at, basically is walking distance. And I felt super lucky to have a dealership so close and so conveniences for my car. But you really let me down yesterday, disappointing...

I made an appointment with them and due to some reasons informed them that i am not coming and rescheduled my appointment. By the time i reach on the next day appointment they told me the vehicle sold. I am okay if they give me courtesy call or message to say that vehicle sold. I did multiple calls before i reach the store and the person who dealing with me left the store as well.. i am very disappointed with their professionality

If you like to pay for extra more then advertised, go here!! I took my business to BMW where I was treated better.For the long read, I went in and talked to Mr. Gonzalez, who had previously talked to me and let me test drive an Acura MDX Advance Package. I told Mr. Gonzalez I was ready to buy on that day provided I get everything I want as the website says with no dealer added extras. I ended up talking to Mr. Powell who is the general manger there. He was not interested in selling me a allocation unit that I could wait for without dealer added options. Instead, he kept pushing for me to buy a vehicle with dealer added extras. I told him that I was a man of principle and would walk out if they did not order me a vehicle without dealer added extras. Mr. Powell still pushed for me to order a unit on order to the dealer ship with the extras tacked on. I asked for them to be removed. He refused and said his employees need to eat and he did not want to lay them off. On principle, I left the dealership over dealer extras added on to a vehicle. Mr. Powell could of cared less when I left. He did not seem bothered to lose a sale.I went down the road where I ordered a brand new x5 M50i with no dealer added options tacked on. BMW will listen to you to make a sale. Acura of Sugarland will not. They were willing to lose a sale over making a quick buck instead of listening to the customer. This review is to warn others of the service you will receive from their management during the sale process.
I called on a Saturday and spoke with Kenny regarding a vehicle that I was interested in buying. I explained what I was wanting interest rate wise along with how much we were putting down etc. He said he was 99.9% positive we could get the rate in the range I wanted and told me to fill out a credit application. He proceeds to tell me that they are so busy that they will call me Monday to finish up the deal. The other guy calls me on Monday to finish up the deal and everything was opposite of what I was told. AFTER my credit had been pulled causing my score to go down. The price was way over from what I was told on Saturday in which I was not expecting. The guy said he will get it straightened out and call me back after he figured out was going on and never called me back.
Went for service...on a Saturday, Broderick was our service rep. He was excellent, he explained some features on our FOB that l did not know how to use in the proper manner. Broderick took his time with me on this issue and l really appreciated his effort. THANK YOU!

The service was pretty good, the advisor Alex Rodríguez who helped me at this time was very profesional at what he recommended for my vehicle. What a difference, the ride back to my home was very smooth, the job the team did was excellent, I’m very pleased, it was a very good experience. Very disappointing interaction and an unpleasant experience overall. The interaction with what I think is one of the managers or a senior staff at the dealership named Mike was especially very disappointing.I took my car for a trade in estimate and had identified a car that I wanted to test drive and trade in for. While the car was fine, the interactions were extremely unpleasant. The trade in offer was insultingly low, which in itself might not have been an issue, but there was a complete lack of trust or good faith negotiation. I had a much higher offer from a different dealership.The sales associate understood that I wasnt interested in the offer anymore, I asked her for my car keys back and she goes to get it but instead, comes back with who I think is the manager named Mike and this is where the experience went completely south.He used every tactic in the book to try and apply pressure to make a sale and when he realized the deal wasnt going to happen became rude. He had no good faith or trust in a customer who walked into the door and always. He was obsessed with the word Proof for some strange reason and constantly accused me of lying and even went to the extent of saying Maybe you dont have that offer... when I stood up and asked for my keys to leave. Unfortunately accusing me of lying is not going to lead to a sale. Instead he lost a willing customer to a Carmax pretty close which had in fact offered me exactly the amount I told them.They do everything possible to try and pressure you into a sale and the biggest of all is that dont even give you your own car keys back and try to hold on to it for as long as possible in a different room hoping to pressure the customer into a sale.It was also pretty obvious he only bothers about a customer if he thinks see a sale happening. When he realized it wasnt going to he actually walked away while we were still talking and I was asking him where my car was parked. He couldnt save the sale and was clearly frustrated. If he negotiated in good faith rather than getting flustered and starting to accuse me of lying, he probably would have got the sale because the car I test drove was decent.Him just walking away frustrated while Im asking where my car was parked is just unacceptable. If his approach was even slightly better they might have had a satisfied customer and not this review.This is a real shame because my experience in other Sterling McCall dealerships have always been great. Ive purchased two cars at different times from another dealer (Sterling McCall Fort Bend Toyota) and they were amazing. This particular interaction however was one of the worst experience Ive had.
The most honest, best experience I’ve had trading vehicles hands down. Trustworthy and old school handshakes come to mind when dealing here. All I had were photos, my word, and was over 300 miles away. They had the Best equipped, nicest, lowest miles, and best priced car I could find in 6 days of shopping. They said c’mon and we’ll make the deal. I drove down, drove theirs, they drove mine, and 20 minutes later the deal was done just like they said it would be. Car was as good or better than described, the salesperson Bob and the finance officer were both honest and a pleasure. I highly recommend this dealership for anyone shopping Acura new or used. I shopped DFW, Austin, and Oklahoma City, for almost a full week, and these guys were the only ones honestly priced and fair about my trade against the vehicle they were offering. I would make the 300+ mile trip again when I need another car. Well worth the trip. DFW.......take notes lol!! 9/6/2021Update: The initial process of buying my vehicle was great but the follow through and communication after the sale has been non-existent. I emailed the salesman and the new vehicle manager regarding a couple of questions/concerns I had and have had no response from anyone. When I went to get my plates, which they did not install, I had asked about how to get assistance and I was informed that email was the best way to contact someone. I have not had major issues but I am regretting purchasing my vehicle from this dealership.Initial Review:I had been to many dealerships looking for a vehicle and AJ Pirani from Sterling McCall Acura went above and beyond to help me get into a vehicle I love! The process to purchase the vehicle was very easy and quick. AJ was very insightful on the various features of the vehicle and made sure I knew all the ins and outs before leaving. I had a 1030 an appt for an oil change but it took almost 2 hours to get my car finished. The oil life setting was not set back to 100% even though the service agent said it was! I had to reset it myself!

Purchased car with broken windshield. Was told they would repair when picked up plates. Unfortunately it is different service so I had to come back the next day. Was really frustratedBut Kenny Simmons stepped in and not only replaced the whole windshield but had car delivered to me when complete so I didn’t have to pay for Uber.

My husband and I purchased a used MDX in excellent condition a few days ago. Upon inquiring about the vehicle, we received a personalized demo video from the sales agent, Joaquin, so that we could see the vehicle before making the drive out to the dealership. Joaquin was one of the nicest and most courteous sales reps weve worked with when it comes to car buying. He has even followed up with us in scheduling a minor paint detailing that was brought up during the purchase. The manager, Kenny, also worked with us in order for both parties to walk out happy in regards to our trade-in. The showroom and amenities were very comfortable, even with a toddler.
Andy Garcia is an amazing Service Specialist! He keeps you informed and makes sure to check on you to see if you need anything. I wouldn’t choose anyone else!

I came in to get routine car maintenance. Margo was timely in getting me checked in. Despite having a bit of a length of time to wait, I was offered snacks, a quiet room to work in or an Uber ride to my choice of destination. Everyone was professional and I do not have any complaints.

2020 Acura MDX. The car was shifting very jerky. Felt like the transmission was hunting for the right gear. Dealership reset the transmission computer. So far so good. In and out the same day

Esther was rude as soon as we walked in she let us know how many people were wanting the vehicle. When she found out we had a bank pre approval she lets us know her finance department will not be happy with that. She continues with how she is very transparent and so she pushes the financial card. Wanting us to finance with them. She mentioned how they get very little percentage from their vehicles if we finance through them. So I mentioned to her we already have a good bank we prefer to work with and she turns her back on us and all of a sudden she’s not friendly as when we walked in. I ask her so are you transparent that you have to mention to your customers that you don’t like when they get pre approval from their bank? She was just so rude we felt she didn’t want our money. We can take our business elsewhere. I understand people all need to make money. This is not how you treat your customers. So we took our business elsewhereAs we left she walks behind us to continue to want to explain how she’s transparent. Yelling talking about how we will be back. No thank you. Just be aware of this sells lady she may not want your money if you are pre approvedIt definitely was a waste of our time.
The appearance inside and outside of the lot was clean and very well kept, the staff was helpful and friendly, and I left with a vehicle that I can truly appreciate!
