Very friendly employees, good in prices and clean store
The reviews are correct: (1) One finds many more products here than what’s usually sold in other Asian supermarkets; (2) the place is clean, and well-organized. The workers on the floor do their work well, including the cashier who took care of me. I was very pleased to find food products from more Asian countries under one roof. They had ones from Japan, Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, Vietnam, Philippines, and of course, China. They have a meat and seafood section, along with a vast produce section. There’s ample parking in front, and this store is sandwiched between many Asian restaurants that are highly-rated. Enjoyable shopping experience!
They are conveniently located for us Sugarland residents. Dry stuff is ok, but meat and veggies are poor quality. You can see mold on veggies and smell raw meat at their deli. Temperature where meat is stored was high today (57-62 f throughout the freezer). A few fellow shoppers noticed it too. Filthy restrooms. Not buying meat or veggies here.
0 return policy and customer service. I bought a tea pot and wanted to return the very next day but they rejected
Good spot great meat and poultry! Needs a bit fresher veggies
They are very bad I buy mango two days ago and I don’t even eat and they are in good shape and today I went again to buy some grocery and I saw the same mango are $5 dollars cheaper than I got from same places I asked Maneger can I bring old mango they are good and can I get 5 dollars off and he was so bad don’t want to talk to me that was no nice they just lose four family business I am not going to go back
Good supermarket nice and clean with lots of variety of frozen foods.
My Husband, son, and I were the first to vote at this location. The Owners Daughter was very helpful, and very nice. We had an older gentleman that hadnt eaten anything yet since we were all there so early. And she got him some breakfast items to eat. There was a system glitch, that wasntvote stores fault,, and we didnt get to vote until about 9:15!!But the store itself is very well stocked, and Im thankful that its in the neighborhood. Its a very convenient spot to vote at.
My mom brought kebob from this place to try. We were gonna cook them today but thank fully realized that they were expired. And that they had expired more than a YEAR ago! This is not the first time this has happened. I’ve heard forom many people treat their food is expired.
Good place in the old Randalls store layout. Stocks Indian and Pakistani grocery and household items. Staff are quite courteous at the billing counters. Assortment of items on the shelves is quite good and the aisles are easy to navigate. If they do not have something in stock theyre helpful to try and get the items on request.Overall, quite pleased with the store and its now become a go to grocery store around the New Territory community.Edit: I have had a few instances where the products purchased have either expired or are very close to expiration. This is kind of becoming a frequent occurrence.
Overall still a work in progress but they do have a great selection of Desi staples. Chefs tips Oils- Rice - Spices reasonable prices. Halal Meats. Happy to see Goat meat offerings. Another culinary hot spot for Ft Bend Chefs & Cooks. 🔪
Newly opened. Went there to check. Large place and well stocked. Compared to the other World Food, prices are on the higher side. I was surprised when sales tax was charged on my chicken leg quarter prices. I thought grocery items are not taxed. Well may be the cashiers are new and it was unintentional. Any way I think over time it will become a good place to go for halal food. Very clean.
It’s a big store with a variety of everything. The staff tries to be helpful. They have the famous Ziyad Bakery there, their pies savory pies are delicious and their baked goods. You can sample anything before buying!think there’s room for improvement in the following:- more Turkish/ Mediterranean items.- better organizing items in the store so it looks nicer.- open earlier in the morning.
You can find all kind of desi groceries here. Even Saeed ghanni products are available here .
The place was formally a Randals. It’s huge. A lot of potential. However they need a lot more foot traffic to survive or to be great. Do support them! The variety is good and the prices are good as well.
Never going to purchase sweets from there so dry and tasteless…
This store is newly opened and fills the space of the Randalls there before. If you need anything for your Indian recipes, they will have it!! Who knew there were so many types of rice? Spices of all sorts. Beans, flour, produce. Great onions. Small instead of the gargantuan I find at most grocery stores. Friendly staff.
The bakery is amazing, I highly recommend giving it a chance. Great customer service there and a pretty good selection. The reason for the 1 star is the rest of the store and staff. I understand some prices are increasing but some prices are outright ridiculous compared to the competition. The staff at checkout, customer service wise is garbage. Honestly i just want to get what i need and get out but the people at checkout are constantly talking to each other wasting my time. Whats worse, today there was only one person in front of me it took them about 15 minutes to checkout because he decided to take out one item from the cart, get it scanned, place it back in the cart, then get the next item out of the cart. The checkout associate then talked to me as if this is normal and i should shut up. Garbage customer service, Ill only come back for the bakery but i will take my business elsewhere for grocery as should most people.
Saturday, Sep 19. . . GRAND OPENING & a lot of fake commercialization on this grand event, when people coming specially for the commercialized prices. . . I tell you what! WORLD FOOD on hwy 6 & Beechnut is the best prise with great customer service.
They harassed me and my kids today for not wearing a mask. I said I have a medical condition but they did not listen and asked my kids to wear it, which is ridiculous and child abuse although I never budged. The governors orders clearly state medical exemptions and 10 years age exemption but they said they never heard about it. Other big American grocery stores in the same county has 10 to 20 times more customers than them and their staff never even questioned us for not wearing a mask but in fact they are more helpful. Besides, their products are always low quality and we had to make several trips to return them in the last few months. Overall, horrible customer service and bad product quality, so just avoid this place and take your money to a better desi store in town.
This place has alot of potential; good variety and good pricing. It can become great, just needs the volume of people to increase. The nicest meat people, will customize the cut exactly how you want it!
We have been shopping at world foods for more than 20 years. Since March we have been doing curbside pickup due to Covid. I had great experience with Tasheen who helps with curbside pickup. She has been very professional, courteous, nice, has patience, and friendly. It makes us come back to World foods without any hesitation because of Tasheen’s excellent customer service.
I was there Minding my own business. an happen to see employees yelling at a group of kids, fast-Forward 5 minutes i see the kids walk out with a very angry man walking Behind them RECORDING THEM, I later asked the group what they had done and they said that they were Running, They Also told me that The Workers had CALLED THE COPS on them for running in the store, It made No sense me me since they has bought some items. Seems a Bit Excessive for just a few kids. Will not Be Returning Because of this incident, Also prices and selection are lacking.
I rarely come to this store but the one time I came there was water by the fridge were drinks were, an employee was passing by I said excuse me a couple of time and he ignored me, a little while later a lady came around papers in her hand and I asked her if she worked there and she said she works in the office I showed her the water on the floor and pointed it out the employee that ignored me a little earlier and he said okay, I was there for 30+ minutes and the water was still on the ground they didn’t even bother to put the wet sign.
I have been shopping here since they opened, we hardly looked at their pricing thinking they had to be cheaper compared to other small stores or comparable to other world foods but i was shocked when i recently compared there prices to another smaller store that is a few blocks from them. that small store is cheaper on a lot of the dals and snack and similar prices on flour. on another note i have never been a fan of their meat shop as the meat never tasted or looked fresh. they need to do something about the quality of their meat. I am really disappointed with their pricing and would not prefer to shop here again or recommend them to anyone.
I saw that they open the new store here and I was thinking to support this new store here. I bought Ghee oil, which suppose to smell very good and it is very testy.Oh, it didnt have any good smell. Really, didnt smell at all. It was waste of money and time.Make sure not to buy this one. I tried it. It is nothing!
One of the best desi grocery store in Houston and the Sugarland area. Cheaper price compared to other grocery stores and good quality products, also an excellent service for curbside pickup.
This desi store has many varieties of groceries; the store is huge and not that busy. Very easy to maintain social distancing. It has a lot of potentials to be bigger than the world food warehouse. Very easy to practice social distancing. I noticed a lot of space available for other small businesses, such as salons, etc. Its closer to Marium Masjid.
Nice setup but they are super expensive. I spend about $125 a week on desi grocery and for the prices I paid here It ended up costing me extra $20 - $30 compared to my usual shopping place. I am definitely not going back, they are a rip off. Also to add workers were not as helpful as you would expect them to be, you are basically wandering around and figuring out where everything was placed and stuff
They do not stay up to code with the health regulations. Many goods are expired and the steak I bought was grey and definitely spoiled. Everything was severely over priced and majority of the foods there were way past the expiration date. The tags they place on the packed foods are inaccurate, I’m just amazed this place is still open. The health department definitely needs to shut this place down. I hate this place with a passion of a thousand suns.
Now I do not know where to start, it does not go well any way. From the moment I entered I could tell there was tension from the staff on me. Every cashier there would give me glare making me feel uneasy. I have never felt unsafe in a store before but that experience is something to never go through again. It seems though that if the staff does not treat customers with respect then neither would the owner which I was proved correct. Before the Corona incident, me and my friends would go enjoy good meals from the nearby 7/11 and sit down in the public seats and tables. The owner of the store personally came out of the store and began yelling at us and threatening to call the police. I know a group of teenagers seem suspicious to people but the tables on front of there were simply our lunch table. When Randall was still open, we never had the problem of being yelled at for enjoying a meal. Myself and many people like myself would agree that this place will never be the quality of Randalls, product-wise and service-wise. Also, that owner seems to be on a personal mission to make my and my friends, when we go in there different days, have a terrible day. I have spoken
So i have to join the club subscriptions to save money . just give eveyone fair prices you mightve gotten my return business
Definitely going back there. Staff was very gud friendly although in this tense conditions they were trying entertain all the customers inquiries. And last but not the least hats off to store manager. Great 👍
As advertised bigger than whole food it isnt plus not so much variety. But good option bear sugar land area as other stores are pretty far
Is a place to find the best samoosa and aloo in this area
Huge International food and fresh vegetables Grocers. Very clean store with various Dals, Besans and Attas, along with great spices and personal care products.
Very good store. Easy navigating items. Stock always full. Friendly staff.Love the way things are organized and cleanliness is top notch.Love to visit this store. Highly recommended.
Visited today first time, we tried other grocery stores in Houston in one month since we moved from New York, I must say Al Rabba Grocery have a huge variety and prices are not bad. Will buy fromAgain.
Super large store, however they arent using it to potential. Sometimes its hard to find an employee to help locate something. This is likely an effect of the lock down, but still.
Really like this place. Friendly staff and lots of items to choose from. My wife loves the produce section.
Bought laxami chappati aata from them as they were selling it cheaper and it was full of insects red flour beeltes and their policy of No Return or Exchange is killing on top.. is there a way you can see without opening if its good or bad. I will not go there again ..
Zoya was borth and she had to
I was very pleasantly surprised! Very organized, clean and spacious! They were giving all their customers plastic gloves upon entering for safety. They had everything from American groceries, to indo-Pak to bakery! It’s definitely going to give the original world food a run for its money😅
I found almost all the products from this mart. It is amazing place for grocery under one proof. Keep it up!
An excellent shopping experience with so much variety of products. Spacious, clean and competitive prices. Would highly recommend!!!
Really bad customer service I wish I can give them 0 stars, dirty store stuff is very rude they need to learn about customer service.. asked them for a mask they did not even have any extra mask for there customers American stores are way better then this place at least they answer all or there questions. don’t go there
Its been opened since April 2020. It is well organized (some spices are even organized alphabetically), it is clean, there is a huge variety of different brands to choose from, they also have fresh tortillas available.
Big space ta has a great potential but it is empty inside.old vegetables and fruits, old meat, some products are over priced..
You get mostly every desi thing you need . I think this will be the best desi store in Houston, soon!
Food in the store is bad, fruits are bad, their bread isnt fresh, often store is dirty, and handful of employees cannot talk to you right.
Not a recommended place to do grocery, rotten vegetables, price is higher side, and what most surprises me they put their price sticker on breads Phoenicias bakery and it was over priced by $2:00.
I bought a Roti Maker from them and was told i would be able to return it upon asking before making the purchase. Now when I went to return it within a week I was told it cannot be returned and I need to speak with the owner of the product who left it at Al Rabba on consignment. The owner after several attempts to reach him regarding his product, I was told returns are not acceptable if the product is in working condition/ not defected, which is strange because usually it would be the other way around. My family is not happy with the kind of rotis it makes.Pathetic customer service and seems like they dont mind lying to sell products. If they need a customer flow, they should be making their customers happy. All I wanted was to return the Roti Maker and purchase something else form Al Rabba instead. I wasnt asking for money back.Very likely not to go there again.
Not enough inventory, Price High, Bad Service and Lot of Attitude.
I advice every one do not come to this place at all, not good place to buy any thing from al rabba store, because alot of expire items and old merchandise and not healthy store because corona virus in it,.and bad yogurt drink is expired.and Bad customer service..
Ownar vary nice chip prize mor grosary
Good place very well organized and all groceries are available with reasonable price and quality.
Friendly staff .huge grocery store, price are reasonable
Best place for grocery products as you can find all of them one places. I would suggest people to try this place for grocery shopping.
Very good customer service there was some prices issue but they took it back and pay me back with smiley face. Prices are good and friendly staff 😊
AT LAST! A local market that has all my Mediterranean groceries and I don’t have to drive all the way to Phoenicia! But PLLLLEEEAAASE bring more Persian products, specially the frozen Persian Foods like Gourmet Sabzi and fried Eggplants .
Its a very nice store
Plenty of other Indian grocery stores to shop from in Sugarland so AVOID this one. Floor was littered with stuff and vegetables n fruits just dumped in bins. Terrible customer service too. It was my first time and never going back again.
Miss Randall’s and this place can’t really compare especially since the manager was disrespectful even when we weren’t in the store.
Good selection. Great prices.
Its clean and staff is nice. I get all my Indian groceries from here.
Be careful when you purchase items from here most of them will be expired. I purchased a case of shezan mango drinks and when I came home i realized they been expired for almost a month. called the service and these people basically denied it telling me theres no way they can have expired items on their shelves EVEN THOUGH i called them right away and had receipt of purchase. If you also look at the past feedback youll find out that im not the only one who has complained about expired products being sold to consumers. These people are also price gouching during the month of ramadan. I honestly would find someone else to shop with instead. To many expired products and price gouching.
Terrible place to shop at, bad customer service and on top of that the establishment does not pay their bills. So just a warning for any contractors doing business or about to do business with this place, be careful and get your payment before services. Amir Ali asked me NHR Services to check all of his air conditioning units and to give him a quote. Now he refuses to pay. I am glad I did not do any repairs ! I seen red flags when the guy initially asked me for my services and didn’t even ask me how much I was charging. But anyhow, I just wanted to warn any future contractors about this establishment before it’s too late.
Nice and clean store. Has a variety of Desi items
Nice and clean store with great variety and friendly customer service. However, the prices were a bit higher as compared to the other World food.
I miss Randall. We were so used to of shopping at Randall that imagined a new store to be like that. This location was Empty for along time but Kroger or HEB did take it, one should not complain about Rabba now. Rabba have some good and some bad, everybody has own opinion. For me Good is Welcome Center giving hand lotion or gloves. Second a large selection of vegetables & low prices. Things i did not like are Restaurant area is too large, it hides Bakery and groceries area. Second locations of Rice and Aata looks odd. Also it appears to be only india/pak store, which it should not be. Store should store types of groceries like HEB. Cashiers seems to have their first job. When one visits Hong Kong Market, you see almost all chinese shopping and Cashiers, no complain to Rabba therefore, however I miss Randalls. Let’s give owners mor time before final judgement.
Been there twice with other grocery dilpasand mithai and both time it was rotten expired stuffHad to throw in the trashCustomer service very poor and rude toward customersAlso other grocery bought was sub standardWould never go there and recommend others as well
Spectacular brand new store in Sugraland. Although this pandemic is going on they decided to do open their store and serve to the community which is appreciable. Shout out to Al - Rabbas manager and his team. They are providing gloves at the enterance as precautionary means in this pandemic. They have a huge varities on fresh produce, frozen items, spices, rice, fresh meat, canned food to ready to eat food in short everything one would need to make a meal and to stock ( American, Indian, Pakistani, Middle-Eastern, etc.) pentry along with this they have good bakery too. I would recommend this place to my family, friends and everyone who is looking for one stop shopping. Stop comparing this store to Randalls as every store has their unique concept and operation.
I went to the store trying to support the local stores, but... As already said here, very expensive (Pizza, water, vegetables,...), lots of items were written in non-English language, it was very difficult to me to know what is what. At the end I just wanted an Ice cream to end my day, and couldnt find any vanilla, only foreign.Oh, before I forget, I bought an Sugar Cane, paid 1.99 on it, when I arrived home to try it, it was rotten !!!It is sad, but I am not coming back.
Good places to shop but the milk is very expensive to buy that we need every day wish they had prices like Aldi
Randalls is much better, and when i go into Al Rabba i feel like im not welcome, they all look at me strange
Terrible customer service, go elsewhere
Less variety, cold refrigerated food, overpriced, bad return policy
Its big market for Indian pak grocery . First time, good experience!
Great selection but some of the employees need to wear their mask
Tried them 5 times. MOLD on produce, expired milk, rude employees, just a disgusting “store” never again. M
Worst customer service I have seen todayNo hello and hi prices are higher tooWill never shop again
Got EVERYTHING I NEED ...AND great Price
Love the variety if products here!! Plus its close to home.
Decided to try this place just because it’s in the neighborhood. Something smelled very rotten on the dairy aisle. Got home and noticed that two of the things I had purchased were expired, smelled horrible had to throw them out. I will not be going back here.
Unnecessary big facility....
Randall was better than this. Missing a lot of essential items
Good grocery store with a lot of all kind of food International and domestic
Good deals on many items, wide variety of stuff
Very clean, lots a register open. Quick in and out
Please update your timings to avoid inconvenience. When i reached around 7.20pm it says closed. Bad start
They dont claim their products even if it is completely rotten . Pathetic not to claim their own damaged product .
Second busiest wholesale desi place in Houston metro area
Nice service
Cashier was not respectfullVery rude
I feel a lot of Racial tension going in there.
