Basic Starbucks. Great staff. Right across from the train station. Outdoor seating.

When I am working in the Summit area, it is always a pleasure to stop by the Starbucks across from the Summit Train Station. I have found that the people who work at that location are extraordinarily polite, friendly and accommodating. Even when you got up on the wrong side of the bed are perhaps feeling grouchy, seeing people take pride in their jobs early in the morning makes you take a new look on the day ahead. Plus the Baristas at this location always make my favorite drink the Very Berry Hibiscus Refresher just right.

Friendly service and typical Starbucks quality beverage. The outside seating area is however dirty with garbage on the floor and the furniture in dire need of replacement. There was no thought put into the outside area to make it nice.

It’s okay. I love their coffee and they’re usually really good with orders but this time they completely ignored my requests. I got nothing what I asked for except for the type of coffee. Called the location and their costumer service is good. Giving it three and a half stars because I haven’t had a bad experience until now but they remade my drink and gave it to me for free. So I’m happy and thankful. Thank you to the nice staff member that handled it well.

Won’t go back here again. Every time I go I’m always rushed by the person taking my order and my order comes out wrong. Just today I placed a simple order for a latte & chai tea- both iced & with almond milk. Not only did they make me a hot latte they also began to make the chai latte hot as well. Luckily the barista caught on to the error and corrected it. When I got in the car and took a sip of the latte I immediately realized they had also ignored my request for almond milk. So now I have 2 lattes (hot & cold) both of which I won’t drink. Only writing this review since I cannot stand how wasteful this is- money, resources & time. Please hire better people to take orders.2 stars because the barista’s were fast & courteous.

An employee stuck up a middle finger at me when it closes at 8. This hurt me very much and I am very unhappy. She had black hair. Unhappy with this place.

I bought some of their instant coffee packets. They are excellent.

Coffee was great as always, the social distance thing is a bummer. I had to stand outside in the hot sun for 15 minutes. while there I was approached by a homeless guy who got upset with me because I wouldnt give him money.

I’ve lived in Summit for two years and this location is the best in the area. I usually order coffee and a breakfast sandwich around 7:00 am. My order is always ready by the time I arrive to this location. I only live two blocks away from there. The morning staff is friendly and quick completing orders. This is my favorite Starbucks. They definitely need more tips!

Great service

Staff is very friendly, and have a nice atmosphere. I always have a good time at Starbucks. I usually go there with my family, and they always have something for everyone. I would recommend this place for people who wants to have a relaxing environment.

The service is very slow. I dont know if there is a manager on duty to observe the backlog of orders. Twice Ive waited over 20min (mobile order) for a hot coffee and a hot sandwich. Onetime was in the afternoon the other in the morning.

Quick, efficient and had great safety protocols in place.

Hot chocolate was only warm. They couldnt heat it up, so they dumped it and made another, which was supposed to be hotter. Same thing. I threw it out and just walked away

It takes forever to get your drink there... i would say that Boxwood across the street offers faster (still not quite fast) service and a better coffee. It’s interesting that a lot of people complain about the same very basic and easy to fix thing - the speed of service - and still the management did nothing to improve.

I tend to visit Starbucks four or five times a week. Of all the Starbucks I go to in New Jersey, the Summit location has been and continues to be the best from my perspective. They are very good at moving a line through quickly, the staff is always attentive and the seem to have a relatively low turnover rate meaning that the same smiles greet me week after week.

The staff does not listen. Three days this week my husband ordered coffee for our daughter who has been in the hospital. The order was iced macchiato w/almond milk no Carmel.First - whole milk2nd - Carmel was added3rd - Carmel was addedSuffice to say will never come back

Good location, but a bit small and worn. Bathroom is not clean when I was there. People there are friendly, service is good.

This is a very clean Starbucks in Summit, which doesnt play loud music, hence a good place to get work done, but it takes them an unusually long time to fill drink orders.

Wow! What a dysfunctional store, the supervisor yells and ridicules her employees, I feel so bad for those folks. I really hope the manager or owner is aware of this disgusting behavior. I will never go back to such a terrible place.

Convenient and friendly

Very poor service. I am not from the area and was asking a simple question and the employee named Jacob just gave me an attitude and did not even try to help me or at least respond in a polite way. I mean I would have understood if he could not help me with what I needed but there is no need to be rude about it. He responded in a very rude way and looked at me wrong. I have been working in customer service for a long time so whenever I go places I treat people with respect and Im very polite because I expect the same in return.

You will literally wait 25 minutes for a mobile order placed 10 minutes BEFORE your arrival, That’s when they remember to make your drink. They never give you your food so wenypu get your coffee after waiting 25 minutes you need to then remind them you ordered food, and you wait another 10 minutes. So many people miss their train bc they have been waiting 25 minutes or leave without their order. I thought it was just in the morning rush and tries to give them the benefit of the doubt. Will not be going back.

They have power outlets and chairs. It is honestly kinda small inside but they can’t do anything about that. But in the summer they do have seating outside.

Multiple times now I have simply not been given my order. There is always a crowd behind the counter and the baristas seem easily distracted. Tired of paying for items I dont receive even after asking multiple times.

I live in Summit and have been to this location a number of times. It is the worst run Starbucks I’ve been to. Consistently wrong orders, extremely slow during non-peak hours, always a line and lots of employee turnover. Doubtful management reads this so do Starbucks a favor and stop going here so they get the message this location needs new management.

Literally the worst Starbucks you could go to. There are cockroaches all over the place. I saw one ON THE COUNTER last week. The service is awful. You’ll wait 20 minutes or more for one drink. On a few occasions my drink mysteriously disappeared into the abyss. Good luck getting a barista’s attention too. The manager Jo seems to have absolutely ZERO idea of what she’s doing and I have seen her be rude with other customers. Its a mystery how this girl even became a manager. The baristas don’t know how to make drinks consistently... every time I come here my drink tastes different. If you go in at the right time you’ll catch them cleaning the ovens with all those chemicals that will be heated up in the oven right along with your food... which you may never get if you go in the morning. I personally have had to leave without items (and have observed other customers have to do the same) because the wait would cause me to be late.. and I give myself plenty of time to go get my coffee in the morning. These employees don’t care and look like they hate their lives every day. I’ve grown tired of having miserable baristas serve me my coffee so I’ve decided not to come here anymore. Bottom line is don’t waste your time coming here. there’s a Dunkin‘ Donuts a few stores down and a cute little coffee shop called boxwood right across the street with way friendlier service and better drinks.

Pretty good Starbucks, with the exception of the morning rush-hour where a lot of people are buying coffee before they get on the train at the summit station, service seems to be pretty reasonable and reasonably speedy as well.

Customer service is nonexistent at this location. The unpleasant girl taking my order made a face as she put the order in. To top it off she put in the wrong order and when I asked another barista she gave me an attitude as well.

On two occasions Ive had cashiers mess up my order. Today, I specifically asked for a tall Smores Frap with Almond Milk and whip. Instead of the cashier asking for clarity, he proceeded to debate with me about how the drink comes with whip automatically. I dont believe that was the point, as I can have my drink customized to my liking; simply because Im the one paying for it; with or without whip. So since he was focused on the wrong thing, I put my straw in my drink and I got half way across the street to find that I have the wrong drink. My question was simple, does this have coffee in it? The same guy who wanted to debate with me over the whip responds, it has a creme base. Livid, I tell he and the young lady who made my drink that I NEVER mentioned a thing about cream. She graciously made another drink. However, I get back to my apartment to discover that I was charged for a grande when I asked for a tall. I was charged for an almond drink cream frap, when I asked for a smores frap with almond milk (as a substitute for regular milk or 2%). I advise cashiers to just listen to what the customer is saying. Dont take anything away and dont add anything to it without asking. I knew EXACTLY what I wanted, because I get it the same way every single time I get Smores. Unless I state or Im an underage kid, you can assume that I would like a frap with the coffee base in the traditional sense. Otherwise, please train ALL of your employees to ask the same probing questions so that orders are accurate.
