A lot of great people just always a line. Seems like its illegal in the place to ever have more than 2 checkers regardless of how busy it is.

The main reason for my 2 star review is due to the un-courtesy customer service from the DELI department. Not once- many times have the gals there have been super rude and wont acknowledge the customers that are there to get lunch/dinner. They make the customer feel as a burden to them. One of the gals just comes to the counter and stares like what do you want attitude. They had good attitude people before, unfortunately the bad attitude ones won. I hardly go anymore for lunch.

Expensive. And bathroom is so gross that I’m afraid that pretty much means nothing gets cleaned there.

Went to purchase a Xbox gift card for my son and when I went to go activate it on his Xbox it says that this code is not yet active, contact the merchant to activate this code. I contacted Xbox and told them the situation and they looked into it and said that the code that I have is valid but the merchant hasnt activated the code on their end yet. So I contacted Safeway and let them know the situation and they said that since my receipt said that it was approved, that there was nothing that they could do about it. So o called back to Safeway to get a manager to talk to and they said that I would have to go back to the store and that they would replace it with a new one. Mind you I was on the phone for 10 minutes before I even got to talk to a live person because they have a high call volume. Come on this is Safeway and not Amazon. So I go into Safeway stand in line and then I speak to a Samantha and she tells me that there is nothing that they can do for me so pretty much Im out $50. Be careful when buying Xbox gift cards or any other gift card for that matter from Safeway.

Long lines slowly opened new checkout registers

I came in hopes of finding gripe water ( for babies who have colic) which the online website shows store carries. I asked two employees if they knew where I could find it and they quickly answered no; they didnt even make the attempt to search item on the the system which amazes me due to the fact the item likely has a location code associated with it. I asked a third employee in the aisle and he also quickly said no and didnt even try to find an employee who may be familiar with the product. I ended searching the medicine section and was able to find it myself. Effort is bad when it comes to customer service, at least for the night crew.

Lines are too long to buy expired dry foods

This is where I get my collard greens and mustard greens and my prescriptions filled.

The food is a little pricey, but for the quality of it, the cleanliness of the store, the quiet atmosphere, the freshness of the food, and friendliness of the staff, it is absolutely worth it.

Its convenient and near my sisters place. Ive been in it enough to become familiar to getting what I need in a pinch.It has a great bakery section.

Went here to check deli and we were impressed. The food was hot and fresh, the prices were reasonable and the the store layout was easy to navigate, but most of all the customer service was definitely on point. I actually felt appreciated as a customer which made me want to find something to buy before I left. I like this store.

There isnt any listing what time the deli is closed on Sunday. I wanted to get a pasta salad for my dinner and went to the deli 6pm. The girl was putting things away while I was standing their and said she couldnt help me. I then asked if maybe anyone else can help and could come and pack the salad . She Called someone and then said NO again. I feel they definitely need to improve customer service. I mean this is a grocery store and I cant even get a cold salad. Just a bit disappointed.

I regularly shop at Safeway’s and this was the dirtiest I have ever went to. I didn’t even want to put my food on the belt because it was so dirty! You would think during a pandemic they would clean them more. I used to cashier at Walmart so I know dirty belt when I seen one. I will stick with Toppenish safeway.

Lovely wine selection, cold IPAs, fresh deli is always there when I needed it.

Quickest place I can get to from Outlook. They have kinda been disappointing since Albertsons bought them. Prices are no longer competitive in many categories. But there just for you specials are the best. Starbucks gets my wife to show up.

The staff here are disrespectful rude and they have no problem telling you if you dont like it dont come back.I have been to the manager and talked to 2 different supervisors and got no where.infact I had my 4 year old son in with me last month and they even treated him like trash stay away from this store

Love shopping here at Sunnyside Safeway

Although I stop and shop here 4-5 times a month it is not my go to store in Sunnyside. They have the items I use frequently and that’s why I go in. I’d shop there weekly if the lines were not ALWAYS so long. At 5:00 pm there are only 2 checkers open. It’s not uncommon for the lines to be 8-10 people deep. You can complain and nothing is done to change it. I’d rather drive to Yakima and shop there than wait in line for 20 minutes for 3-5 items.

Convenient, familiar and they gathered a good deli!

Worst shopping experience Ive had since the ghetto Walmarts of Georgia. Reason 1) Cramped store conditions to where it is impossible to pass people in the asiles. 2) Rude and confrontational deli employee. I had to wait forever to get any service. She gave me attitude when I asked for my meat to be sliced thinner than her version of thin and then kept cutting more meat when I asked her to stop. She pretended not to hear me. 3) And for the trifecta, the wait to check out took like 20 min. The lines were all backed up like 8 people deep because there were only 2 cashiers. This was my first and last time shopping here.

This store amazing. I was shook asf looking for Wheaties and the cashier Lupe, super beautiful and fun, was a great deal of help. Thank them for there service.

Average time in line 30 minutes. Faster to drive to Yokes than to shop here. Prices are higher than normal.

This is a very small Safeway. The Safeway in Grandview 8 miles away is much larger. There are never enough cashiers at this location. Thus there are always lines. Its an older dimly lit store. Other than that its a typical safeway.

Starbucks is great. Groceries are checker depent.... Get a good one and everything is wonderful.

They had no Italian loafs of bread and had no idea when they would have more. Sad.

Numerous times I have watched my nurse fax med prescriptions to the pharmacy, and find out when I go to pick them up, they mysteriously have no meds for me, as they have not gotten the order. Totally unprofessional.

Great store....much better than Freddys for sure. The Starbucks in Sunnyside Safeway is legitimately better than 95% or more of the Starbucks I have ever been too.

I like to go to this Safeway alot for lunch. They have a deli with a lot of great options. The bakery is pretty nice also seems to have a pretty friendly staff. Plenty of specials on alot of the groceries. The floral department is the best in the valley in my opinion. The prices are very reasonable and the girls are very helpful at customising arrangements for me. I highly recommend it them for that.

Better produce and customer service than Walmart but check your receipt the advertised discounts arent always applied.
