Everyone was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. It was very clean and I didn’t have much of a wait. I felt as if I was in good hands and am excited to finally have contacts.
I loved the experience. The girl in the red hair was quick and professional! She was greatI do want to say a big thing to me is a doctor and Dr. Zeimann was amazing he answered all questions. I have bad vision and he was being patient haha . He’s a good doctor. This doctor was so nice ! Will come back again
Absolutely the worst customer service in the world. Have been trying to call them on the phone now for over a week. I live 4 hours round trip from them and simply need them to answer the phone to send my prescription over.I have called Corporate and tried to get them to connect with this store and even Corporate is not able to get through. Absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional. I cannot believe a major franchise in this industry would continue to allow such behavior in the managers operating this location.
We recently moved to AZ from out of state and they were so helpful in figuring out my vision insurance. During the exam the doctor was attentive and listened to my daughters concerns. When it came time to pick out lenses, one of the employees in the doctors side assisted us and I greatly appreciated that she went above and beyond. I believe her name was Ashley, (I apologize if thats incorrect) Customer service and care is top notch here. Thank you!
I love the store and their service. But I have had to try and reach them by phone 2 different times and nobody answers at the store. I go into a que and keep be rerouting and listening to the same instructions and never get to anyone. How do I get a live person to answer their phone. When I am there people are on the phone

The Optometrist at this location is great which is why I rated any stars at all. However, the communication from this store is horrible. I waited 3 weeks for my daughters glasses with no phone calls, no follow-up. Each time I tried to call the store I was forwarded to the national call center. They were less than helpful and only blamed the local store.After 3 weeks, I had to cancel my order and go went to LensCrafters where my daughter picked up her glasses in 24 hours.My suggestion, go find another place to buy your glasses!
Everyone was quite helpful while I was choosing frames and helpful while we figured which of my insurance policies to use. My reason for only 4 stars is that I also am trialing new contacts. I feel they should have given me a trial size solution and contact case to leave with, while I trial the contacts. Instead, I left there with nothing. Not until later did I even think about it, and had to go buy these things. A little frustrating.
So I have came here before no problems. My second visit not so great. I have been waiting now over a month for a trial pair of contacts that never came. I had to repeatedly call them an check to see if they had ever showed up and the girl who answered just said we will reorder and give you a call when they show up. She didnt even look into what happened to the first order. Not happy. I was told after my eye appointment my contacts would take 2 weeks to arrive. After 3 weeks you would think someone would call you. I have never had this happen before. Its really hard to get someone on the phones to help you and care so good luck at this place.
Very good at explaining the testing and the results I received. Answered all my questions and concerns without rushing through them or my time in the chair.It’s been a long time since my last eye exam and he was very thorough and patient. Worth every penny!
I came for my annual contact and eye exam. The staff greeted me and were very friendly when checking me in. Dr. Lam then took me back to do my exam. He was very detail oriented and explained things well. I told him what brand I usually wear for contacts and instead of just doing the exam and sending me on my way with a new prescription for my old brand, he even recommended other brands that may be even better for me since I have a medical condition that causes dry eyes. In the end, he said that the previous eye doctor may have given me a prescription that was too strong so he let me trial some contacts and I can already notice a difference. I wear contacts for the majority of the day, and with the new prescription, I can tell that my eyes have to strain less to compensate than when I was wearing my old prescription.My mom had an appointment on the same day as me and when I took her to see Dr. Lam, he was so patient and explained things well for her too. He took the time to examine my mom for dry eyes and could see that she had a problem of not closing her eyes all the way when she sleeps, so he recommended some gel drops that would help her.Overall, I feel like I learned more from Dr. Lam than I have with any other optometrist that I have been to. The staff at the store were so nice and helpful.
Had a decent experience with the eye check. The reason I’m giving a 2 star review is because they tried to charge $400 for contacts because we had already bought glasses even though we didn’t buy glasses though them. The glasses prices are extremely high so we bought third party. Since we didn’t want to buy contacts through them we asked for a copy of the prescription. Had ordered contacts third party and when we got them they weren’t correct. Thought it might have been a mistake on their part but turns out that the tech at visionworks gave us the wrong prescription. Ended up having to order whole new contacts. Not coming back to this place again.

If I could give no stars to give this review I would. Took 2 children their for eye exams. One was to be a contact lens exam. This would be her first time getting contacts. The doctor only performed a regular exam, had to wait for him to then take her back and finish for contacts. Then Im told that they will order her a weeks trial of contacts and we would need to go back and have her fitted. She would then use the trial ones for 5 days. O.K. no problem well 3 weeks later and no call to say they got the trial contacts in. I call no answer. Ive been calling repeatedly for 3 days at different times and no one ever answers. Call again during business hours and am told the location you are trying to reach is closed 2 hours before the time the store is supposed to close. Nope done with this place. Ill find somewhere else.
Very professional but down to earth. They were very clean at disinfecting all machines that were used. The only thing that was annoying is that they overbook too many people at the same appointment time. My husbands appointment time was at the same time another ladys was...we were there before her but they took her first anyways. Have more doctors at a time if youre gonna have more than one person in a time slot

The optometrist was patient, thorough and answered all my questions as was the associate in helping me pick out a pair of glasses...Yes I definitely will be coming back in the future!
I have a special needs sister that I brought in for an appointment. The Dr was amazing. She was able to communicate with her with the minimum verbal skill she had. I was so impressed on how she understood what she was saying. The staff was awesome also. Nice and friendly. I let them know what type of frame I was looking for and what price rage. I would refer anyone here... 5 Stars!!!!!

Dr. Lamb is very knowledgeable about my eyes. Answered all question. The office was very helpful and polite. There was another guy in a white lab coat he wouldn’t help anyone. I told him we were ready to check out with our frames we choose and told to wait for the other person that was working. He just went to the counter and stood there doing nothing. We ended leaving and making another appointment to come back.
I went to get a prescription for new glasses and pick out new frames. Everyone was great, very friendly and patient. You are temp checked at the door and you fill out a paper about COVID symptoms. Everyone was spaced out and it was very clean. The doctor took his time and talked with you and the people out front helped with picking out frames and getting you all set up with ordering them.

They give you the first pair to try for a week and then bring you back in to check. My son ripped his contact so when we went back in, they didn’t have any replacements to offer him and said they would order some and call when they came in.They don’t have a local phone number to call! It goes straight to a nationwide number and they are no help! It’s now been over a month of trying to get replacements and they won’t release his prescription because he didn’t have them checked twice by the doctor! They say they will call and never do!Save your time!! Go somewhere else!!
Both my husband and I had exams with Dr Lam he was awesome. We did not get our eye glass prescription filled their so we cannot rate that portion.
Terrible service can’t get threw to call just need to order contacts but know one answers the phone and when they do they hang up will never go here again not happy at all go anywhere but here tried calling 5 times they never answer. I would give negative stars if possible
I need the manager/owner to reach out to me ASAP. I have been struggling with an ill- fitting frame for 14 months.Glasses was delivered to me just after shutdown from Covid virus & never fit right.With multiple visits to thestore without resolution & several messages left for manager,Im still struggling with these ill-fitting glasses!
I honestly have never had such a bad experience as I did today. I called so they could release my auth number because I’m getting my frames elsewhere. And I’ve been on hold and that I’ll be called back since 11am, so it’s been 3 hours...now they’re telling me they can’t do that which it has been done before. Also one of the girls was like just tell her to have the other place pull a new code...if I could that that I wouldn’t be going through all of this. The other place would’ve done that also if it could be done and I already spoke to my insurance. Like I got all these answers for them to make their job easier but I don’t understand why I have to get the run around and the attitude.

The optometrist are always informative and courteous. The receptionist are timely and always explain what they are doing and what you are being charged.

I got my 1st pair of glasses at Vision Works 5 years ago and now I just bought anther pair from them yesterday. Last year I had an eye exam by Barnett Dulaney and the glasses I got from them, they were terrible!!! Everything was way too magnified and I just couldnt wear them, so I went back to wearing my old glasses from Vision Works. And yesterday I finally had time to go back to get a new prescription from Vision Works. I am looking forward to getting my new glasses!

Absolutely horrible service. Ordered my contacts on 6.26.20 and today is 7.21.20 and they still have not received my order. Worst part is nobody answers the phone to help so have to drive to the Surprise location just to try and get updates on what is going on. Worse customer service ever. Will no longer do business with Visionworks cause there is no way to contact anyone at any of their locations. Fix the way you are handling phone calls to better serve your customers and get me my contacts i paid for a month ago.

Went there summer 2019. Good experience in store. Great staff and helpful. However, the reason for the low review is the quality of their product. I went in July 2019 and Im writing this in March 2020. With what my insurance paid and what I paid AFTER insurance I think my glasses cost around $750 USD. I got everything, since I have worn glasses since I was 5 and I am in my 40s now. This included Transitions, Scratch resistant, no glare lenses. The bridge of my frames broke on these Nike frames and I lost the pads and now the lenses are so scratched that Im going to need a new pair. 8 Months into a pair that is supposed to last AT LEAST 2 years... No good. My previous pair lasted me 3 Y and 4 M before I went here. I would understand if I worked outside or did manual labor, but I am an IT Professional, There is absolutely NO REASON for this. With that I will have to pay out of pocket on top of this fact cause insurance only covers lenses every 2 years. Unacceptable.
The people at Visionworks Surprise were nothing short of professionals. They accept several different insurance companies, and got me an appointment within a short period of time. The doctor was very pleasant and explained everything to me well. The gentleman and Lady on the storefront side were a great help in selecting frames that I like and left me feeling good about my purchase and my decision to go with Visionworks for my needs. I would highly recommend this location to anyone on the fence about where to go in the Surprise area for any of your vision needs.

This location was very unorganized and provided poor communication. I had an appointment for glasses and contacts at 5:15. I was seen by the Dr at 5:35. Went to checkout and was told I couldn’t buy glasses because they were closing in 10 mins. I will take my business elsewhere.

This was my first visit to Visionworks and it was a pleasant experience from the moment I arrived until I left. Dr. Lee was knowledgeable and nice. She took the time to explain things in a language I understand. The other ladies there were just as knowledgeable and pleasant. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Very clean and comfy office and a wide variety of designer frames which by the way were also affordable.
In town for two weeks...I work in Texas. Wife had an appointment set up for Monday afternoon. Went in and was told some doctor took off and they dont know if shes coming back. Replacement Dr. will not accept my VSP insurance so Youll have to pay cash. Asked about rescheduling and was flatly told Nothing until next month.This place was great when Dr. Trahn worked there. I will be searching elsewhere.
Visionworks lost my business for good. Called to make appointments for my family of five. I called the Surprise location and made appts for four, 5 weeks in advance because of COVID-19. Got our text messages and emails saying we are signed up and verified appts. Even filled out online forms sent by emails. We walk in 30 minutes early for our appts and they had no record of the appts. We showed them the emails and were told that it was a 3rd party company and they had no record. We have also been here many times in the past where the ladies up front were having conversations about how much money they make by charging for all the extras on their glasses. This is horrible service and realize we are just a dollar sign in their eyes. I have also had my glasses ripped off my face when having them adjusted by the techs. Goodbye and good riddance. Costco and/or Nationwide here we come.

I called last minute and they got me in to see the doctor in an hour. The whole visit was only 50 minutes long, and i walked out with my order placed and trial lenses in hand. The doctor was super polite, professional, friendly, and most important, VERY thorough . The past 6 years, most doctors have insisted I have the same prescription for both eyes. Without any prompt, he found this to NOT be the case, and my vision is SO CRISP now. I love this place.
The only reason I did not give a 5 is because the online appointment system does not work. It was relatively easy to call and make an appointment. My appointment was right on time and every employee was great. They have up to date equipment and everyone is very knowledgeable. The optometrist was great and made sure I had all the information I needed and took the time to make sure I had no questions. Highly recommend!
I’ve been calling this location all day and no one has answered. I need help with a simple question and now I’m gonna have to drive out to Surprise to get something that could be answered over the phone.
The doctor was very friendly & professional. She put me at ease explained every aspect of my eye needs & care. I would highly recommend Vision Works. We plan to go there again next time we need glasses. This was our 2nd visit. 😊
The doctor was phenomenal. Very personable and kind while still displaying a very high level of expertise and professionalism. The staff were very helpful and patient while I was picking my frames. The overall process took about 2 hours until I had new glasses in hand. The only complaint I have is that one staff member (not the doctor) is a smoker, so having smoker breath in your face while being fitted for the glasses is extremely unpleasant, but it was only for about 2 minutes.
Never had an issue until I came here. The staff is super friendly however the person who works in the back and makes the glasses. She is something else, she is not a people person at all. We will not come back here ever.
Tries to tell you that things that are covered by vision insurance will cost and refuses to let you see what they are looking at and they refused to look at the printout that I had from the insurance company. Then a week later did the exact same thing to my wife who has the same insurance and coverage. I seriously do not recommend the store side as they will lie to you about costs. The eye doctor however was great she took the time to make sure everything was correct. I will be looking for another place to purchase eyeglasses themselves because I do not like being lied to.
Dr. Barsness patiently conducted a thorough exam, taking time to explain every step and answer all questions. She and the office staff are friendly, professional and well-organized. I give this Visionworks location my highest recommendation and encourage others to make an appointment.

The eye exam was very detailed and any questions or concerns I had were addressed. Received my new glasses before the stated date so that was nice. The wait time for the fitting and adjustments was a little long but they were pretty busy and they did apologize for the wait.

This company location is very unproductive, theyre very slow and lazy . The gentleman i suspect is the greeter / lens cleaner lacks the ability to answer the phone, I attempted to contact this location by phone for a couple days and had no luck at all so i simply went down to the location to get my information i needed but while i waited i decided to give them a call to see if anyone would answer nobody in the store but myself and the employees so someone is available to answer, but we i called two of them came over and looked at the phone and walked away! Sooo i tried once again... same reaction! I couldnt believe what i was seeing, so i politely asked why they dont answer the phone, the gentleman looked at me with a blank face and said what do you mean by that? I picked up my phone and called again.

Unbelievably over priced, and refuse to answer the phone which makes it irriating when you get an email saying your glasses are ready and No Appointment associated with the email (like I was told would happen).I have called and WAITED until I couldnt take the music any longer for 3 days now.No, I dont want customer service to look into it. That statement is in these reviews several times already. Just give me my PAID IN FULL glasses or REFUND IN FULL!Yes I am mad! In Covid19 environment I risked my health to get these glasses! And I am forced to give Visionworks 1 star in order to postUpdate 26August2020After another week of waiting I got lucky and someone answered the phone and Ibwas told my glasses were in review, whatever that means, I recieved a call back last week from Surprise office and was told no one responded to her status update email to the lab. She said shed expedite and call me back 24Aug. NO RETURN CALL. So today 26 Aug20 I stayed on the phone call til SOMEONE ANSWERED. LUCKED OUT AGAIN! After the person researched my issue I was told my glasses were cancelled and new duecdate was Sept 7. OH BUT SHE DID SAY MY SUNGLASSESS WERE READY FOR PICKUP!Istated this is unacceptable. I have a need for my glasses. She said shed talk to the Surprise store and find out what happened and placed me on HOLD. THEN 20 MIN. LATER I GET A RECORDING THEY ARE CLOSED.I am beyond livid, out $700+ not to mention my insurances contribution and NO GLASSES
Ive been here before and the staff was not very nice, the female eye doctor was demeaning and rude towards me and my son about his vision. I didnt think anything of it and thought maybe she was having a bad day... but thats no excuse.Fast forward a year.. I have been calling for weeks to try to make an appt for my son before school started, Id rather make an appt so I can make arrangements for my other children so I dont have to take them to a glass store where they cant touch anything and considering theres a pandemic, I dont want to drag my entire family there for a walk-in.Their online appts say they are booked for 2 months solid, lol. I find this very hard to believe. If you try to call, nobody answers. I literally called repeatedly for 30 minutes. After you sit on the line for 5 minutes it transfers you to the customer care center who cant help, ha! They say they know that the Surprise location doesnt answer and they get angry callers all the time. I called arrowhead location and they said the same thing, they were booked til Sept, I go online to make the appt and theyre booked til end of October as well.In short Ill try a different place for my familys eye health.
Dr Lee was amazing! I had arrived 30 minutes early and they got me in right away. Everyone was very pleasant, very professional and I left with contacts that were exactly what I needed and wanted. I highly recommend Visionworks and Doctor Lee to anyone whos having eye issues.

Dr. Trihn and Lisa are so wonderful, I get my exam here every year. So professional and caring. The eyeglasses staff are always happy to see you and extremely helpful. Best place to get glasses I have 6 pairs from them and they are all perfect. The selection is so terrific I couldn’t make up my mind and the deals make it affordable to get multiple pairs of glasses. We have been coming to this location for several years. The doctor has always just been so-so BUT Dr. Kozlowski was AMAZING!!!!! very personable and took the time to do the entire eye exam and talk about our specific needs, he was such a great doctor! But the staff at the dr. side was a bit cold and not at all personable. Crystal (on dr. side) would not ring my husband and I up together, and while my husband had his eye exam I went outside to make a phone call, and then when he was done we were browsing frames and she chased us down like we were not going to pay the bill or something. I told her I knew we had a $10.00 co-pay, and she just wanted me to pay pay pay.....I told her i was going to wait for my husband, and I just was made to feel like I was trying to skip out on the bill or something.....And I guess it would have been very hard for her to actually smile, or say anything beyond sign here, sign there, and pay

I have gone to three different places now for my eye exam and glasses. But visionworks will be my only stop for glasses and eye exam for the future. .. and all the people at Surprise Marketplace on Grand Ave. Suit 102 are just fabulous to work with.

This office has very rude staff members. I called to set an appointment in this office because I usually go to was booked. Im guessing the appointment setter or receptionist was in a bad mood and decided that if she didnt get my insurance information right that moment she would cancel appointment and she did and then hung up on me. I had already told her the other office was faxing everything over to them. SHe is obviously young and immature. So I hope her rudeness was worth the bad review you just got for your company.
The explanations of the exam are clear, and the staff is and understanding, and easy to work with. Im pleased to continue my business there.
I have mixed feelings. I went here because it has the best reviews. The staff is extremely friendly. The eye exam was $70. Thats quite a bit more than I usually pay but, again, because the reviews were so good I chalked that up to you get what you pay for. I dont mind paying (a little extra) for quality products and great customer service.When it came time to pick my glasses the lady told me $820. I almost fell off my chair. My last experience, (at a competitor), was a few years ago. I paid $400 which included the eye exam and 2 pair of glasses. (and I thought that was a bit on the high side).I jokingly said to the lady helping me, WOW! How much is it if I dont get the FREE pair. She chuckled and said, Well, it would be the same since the second pair is free. I told her Id have to think about it, Id never paid that much before and I wasnt expecting to pay that much this time. At that point she said, Part of the reason its so high is because of the frame you picked for your free pair - its a little more expensive than the other. We might be able to get the price down a little by going with a less expensive frame.At that point I seriously considered just walking out. When she originally asked me what frames I wanted for my second free pair, I said just the same frames for both. They only had one of those frames which is why I picked a different one to begin with. But more than that, she had just told me that the second pair didnt affect the price because they were free, and in the next breathe told me she could maybe get the price down a little by going with a less expensive FREE pair?When I was about to stand up and walk out she said, Hold on let me talk to my manager. (a used car salesman trick). She came back and said she got her manager to approve 1 pair of glasses for $420. It was in the ball park of what I expected to pay, I didnt feel like driving all over price shopping to find a better deal, so I agreed to it just to be done with it.I got my new glasses yesterday. They are basically the same frames I had on my old glasses, (only new). They are a little clearer (because theyre new), but I still have to take them off to read small print.Long story short - I didnt like the used car salesman tactics. I didnt like being told the second pair is free but then having to give up that free pair in order to get the price dropped. In the past my wife and I always went in and did the eye exam and got new glasses at the same time. This year we decided to split it up and go one at a time so were not having to come up with so much money all at once. I went first. Based on my visit my wife has decided that she and our 6 year old daughter will look around for another place. I wont be back here either. Based on the reviews apparently Im the exception - not the rule. Oh well!
Very informative and pleasant staff, BUT, $600 quote including a Medicare discount and the price quoted did not include the frames. I told her I could have surgery for that price and the staff agreed with that statement. They offered 50% off for second pair, but at that price the second pair should have been free.
Thank you for fitting in my mother and being so patient with her. All the staff was so nice and very professional. The prices are great and mom cant wait for glasses!!!
We always enjoy our yearly trip to Visionworks. Wonderful people to work with. Been going there for 9 years to see the doctor and to get new glasses.
Staff was extremely friendly. Dr. Barsness was thorough, took her time, answered my questions. Didn’t feel rushed.
