Went for two money orders totaling $845. Morning manager failed to tell anybody the machine was down. Customer service lady was as helpful as she could because management was a total failure. I asked the manager Gabi to compensate me for my lost time, she shrugged me off and walked away with nothing to say. Now I’m out 1k until my credit union opens in the morning to dispute it. No apology from any of the managers. Again I’ll mention that the customer service lady was the only helpful person there.

Love jewel. All there produce is fresh . Home baked cookies and bagles are the best! There fried chicken is juice and tasty.

Super rude employees. While at the self checkout realized a product wasnt showing the right price turned around and asked an employee for help. Her response was nope! and walked away.As I stand there awestruck another employee comes over. I explain the situation and am rudely met with the discount is here and a point to the screen. Why yes the discount was there, however it was not the correct discount.Apparently you get a free side of hostility with every purchase.

I love going to this jewel. They have a lot of different things here i cant find at other stores and its super convenient to stop there. They have really good deals on meats and seafood. Their cuts of salmon are superb and very well priced. The bakery is excellent and has a wide range of items. They often have free cookies sonit helps me keep my composure when i am shopping after work.

I really appreciate the pick up service here. I ordered my groceries at 6am and picked them up at 8am! Cheerful delivery person. Thank you, Jewel-Osco!

Very dissapointed in a product that I grew up with. Probably not a big deal to Jewel and Osco but it is for me. Why did you change the rice pudding from a great thick delicious treat to a soupy mess. Very dissapointed.

This particular store is always amazing, fully stocked the hot food is delicious and the Sushi is incredible. I like this location in Sycamore, Illinois because the staff are warm and friendly also they are knowledgeable; unlike at crazy chaotic Walmart.

Better than average grocery store.

Always seems to be out of so many common items, more so than most other Jewel stores. Fresh cut fruit bowls contain less than ideal fruit compared to others-dont seem to be able to tell ripe fruit before choosing one to cut into. Basic skill needed to work in a produce section of a grocery store. Young workers in deli know very little about the lunch meats and cheeses they sell. Not very helpful. Dont seem to know the difference between sliced thin or thick. Lack experience, knowledge, and common sense...

This store is fairly new and clean. The layout is ready to follow for the most part and their produce section is better than most of the other stores in the area (based primarily on consistency).

Good convenient location. Fair prices when they have things on sale.

Prices are a bit more expensive than other grocery chains in the area but they are consistent in that they always carry the top brands.The organic section is pretty well stocked. You can find most fruits, nuts, and vegetables pretty much any day of the week. Occasionally this store will feature local produce but that more the exception rather than the norm. The bakery and deli are really good here as well.This particular location also features a Starbucks inside.

I went to the pharmacy in the Sycamore Jewel Osco trying to straighten out a prescription issue, for my mom who had recently fell and broke her wrist. Julie was such a great help in correcting this. Thanks for taking the time and for caring

Total chaos. One of those places with 15 checkout lanes but wont use them til the 2 open lanes are 30 carts deep. Go to Hy-Vee. Hell even Meirrs is better.

When Im in Dekalb or sycamore I try to stop at Jewel-Osco for anything I might need. I have always shopped at Jewel-Osco.

Workers were doing the social distancing thing. Its a little pricey but its worth it.

I havent been to Jewel-Osco in years. Never new one was only 35 minutes away. Jewel-Osco was great 40 years ago and they are still great 40 plus years later.

While working doordash they have been very friendly, quick to assist and very thorough. Honestly enjoy doing business with this company.

Nice selection of fresh vegetables and fruits

I generally do enjoy going to jewel. Their produce section is generally the best around. I very rarely get something rotten or an item that starts rotting the day after I purchase it which usually happens with anything Id get at Wal-Mart. Jewel also has many great sales and deals on meat as well. A lot of their other items are a little more expensive that at other grocery stores. The reason Ive given only 3 stars instead of 4 is that after 9 months into this pandemic and they still wont accept an exchange or return. All of the other stores in our county are taking returns and/or exchanges, except for Jewel. Ive had a product for over 9 months now and still cannot trade it for the correct item and an still out over $10. That might not seem like much to many, but with 4 kids at home thats gas to get me through a week. They have been telling me Next month for 9 months now! I dont understand how they will take the Oberwise milk jugs back but cannot make an even exchange. They still have to handle and hold the glass Oberwise jugs, but cant handle a couple of instant coffe glass containers. Otherwise, the employees there are always nice and helpful and its always clean.

I did not find the soap i needed and I cannot believe the prices on all products. It is a shame that this is being put on the consumer. I will see how it is at other stores. I had surgery and now have many bills to pay. I guess we will be on a soup doet and pasta.

Sometimes hard to find what I need because it seems the aisles are all over the place but they have very nice employees and helpful for the most part. Convenient location

This is a BEAUTIFUL Jewel store!! Its clean, well-stocked. Produce is top-notch. Wide variety of all different items. Nice wine & liquor selection. Floral department is great, too.

Love this Jewel! The pharmacy is amazing and everyone is so nice and helpful. I love their selection of baked goods and you cannot miss the $5 tables if you have a sweet tooth. They have excellent chicken the BEST homemade guacamole, and you cant go wrong with their alcohol selection and sales!

Theyve got a little of everything, which makes it convenient for the size (easy to get in and out pretty quickly). Prices are hit and miss.

A very clean and vibrant grocery store. Plenty of parking and access to Peace Rd and Rt 23. Most grocery items are available. Very nice meat department and top notch produce. I found the staff here to be professional and courteous. Great for quick pick ups or weekly load ups.

Food deli not good.. Food sits and spoils.

Its generally more expensive than Walmart but their sales are awesome and if I cant find something at Walmart I can almost always find it here

Jewel must be feeling the pressure from competitors. Prices, especially in produce, have become more competitive. Replacing self-check lanes with express lanes that seem to always be staffed is a good move. Staff seem friendlier when seeking help to find elusive items. I have shopped much more at Jewel in recent weeks than ever before since this store opened. Glad to see the improvements.

Beautiful location. This is nearby where we live and the building is gorgeous, its never too busy, and they have a good selection. Checkout is speedy and staff is usually friendly!

Very expensive, but we love certain hard to find items. I will plan on stopping once per month for 2 items only.

I like going there because I have a lot of familiar faces I get to see. its nice to have a place that you can go regularly will people recognize you. I can get everything I need from there. I even got this really cute dress that I got a ton of compliments on over the summer. I think thats pretty cool.

I usually enjoy shopping at Jewel but the last time I was there asking if they would exchange some diapers for me for a bigger size and at first it seemed good. She talked to someone else and they both kind of brushed me off and said they can’t. So ok, Fine I’ll do it somewhere else. I needed to get some formula and I walk back to the baby aisle, and there is the one lady standing there arms crossed as if waiting for me. I have worked retail for 13 years and never have I felt so judged. She stared at me and followed me down the aisle so visibly that it made me very uncomfortable. I am so upset I was treated this way. If you’re gonna watch or follow me at least don’t make it noticeable. Customer service that day was sub par.. I expect better from Sycamore Jewel.

Expensive. Even sale stuff you have to by 8 to get sale. Bait & switch on Puffs - only had with lotion, not regular. Turkey breasts on sale but nowhere to be seen. Going to give Meijers a try.

When Im near a Jewel Osco I like to stop in and stock up on Shale nut varieties. Nice selection for a small town, but the rudest staff I have ever experienced. they really need to get over themselves. Another customer commented on how stuck up the staff was and how long it took him to find the Chicago mix popcorn he likes because employees didnt want to help him. On the up side the young blonde lady that at the cash register was very nice. I gave a one star because I couldnt give a half.

Im not happy with the cleaning of the check out workers this hole year I have not see one work wipe down the debit card machine.

Beware purchasing meat here as there was nobody putting this away. Until after I brought it up to the attention of customer service in the front even after talking to somebody in the meat department.Buyers be ware

Always high prices but good food

Non covid control this store is mediocre on its worst day and average on its best. The produce has never been good and the whole store is overpriced. Current covid control leaves the cashiers with a false sense of authority and theyre repremanding everybody. Save yourself the aggressive attitude from the newly and falsely empowered. Go to Aldi, Hyvee, Target, even Walmart is better. I even took a trip to Genoa to Butera for a much better grocery shopping experience. Saved money too

Do NOT get the chicken in the deli unless you place an order for FRESH chicken! If not its been sitting in the bin for 8 hours and dry as hell!! Same with the potato wedges. The staff is unfriendly and needs to work on their friendliness if they are capable of doing so. The worst Jewel EVER located in a very nice town that deserves FRESH FOOD!

Staff is friendly however prices are high iv also seen meat thats been on sale going on 4 days hey jewel when beef turns brown its gone bad theres a reason its called red meat not brown meat I would have gotten that meat for sale if one the beef wasnt brown two if it wasnt out for 3 to 4 days three it wasnt 14 dollars for 1.69 pounds of meat thats not a sale. Save your money aldis is down the block

Everyones really friendly and helpful. They have a really good selection of food as well as products. And they have a Starbucks inside now. And their sales are amazing! I save so much money when I go there. You can count on the quality of your food when you go there. And if anything goes wrong theyre always willing to help.

I love Jewel, but lately it has been a hassle coming in there. My main issue is that you got rid of self-checkout and replaced it with Fast Lanes. The problem here is that the fast lanes are not always open. If Im going in there for a few things I just want to go in and go out quickly. I grocery shop there all the time but in the morning I walk in to just grab a canned coffee drink and go to work. The past two times fast lanes were not open and only 1 register was open, which there have been customers with carts full of groceries. So unlike before with self-checkout where I was in and out in a couple minutes, Im waiting for upwards of 10-12 minutes just to buy one thing. If theft was a concern and that is why you got rid of self-checkout, Im not sure if you made the right decision to try and solve the issue. Instead to combating theft, you only punished the customer. Invest in lost prevention, not Fast Lanes that are not open all the time.Ill continue to shop with you because your employees are friendly and polite and have a great selection of product. You guys do a great job and that is what those 3 stars are for. Solve the issue with faster checkout and youll earn those other 2 stars.EDIT: years later and things are much better, I think COVID forced them to do self checkout again? No idea but its there.

Every time I shop at Jewel-Osco, I am aggravated by the fact that I often have to buy multiples of an item to get a decent price. I get even more aggravated when those items are out of stock and I could not buy multiples even if I wanted to

I like Jewel. It’s close to my home and generally has what I need. But customer service is the worst!
