Serra Honda of SylacaugaI wanted to share my recent car buying experience with Serra Honda of Sylacauga and the exceptional service we received. I was in the market for a new car specifically a 2021 Honda Accord 2.0 Touring; the new Sonic Gray color is what I fell in love with. This would be the third Honda Accord purchased from this Dealership. I previously bought a 2002 EX had it for 17 yrs, bought a 2019 2.0 Touring and had it for 2 yrs. Then I saw the 2021 Sonic Gray 2.0 Touring and had to have it. My husband and I got in touch with our previous sales rep Kayleen Turner, gave her the options and accesories we wanted and thats all we had to do. It was trial after trial and a lot of wait and see at first because this vehicle is in such high demand, Kayleen searched, called, text and emailed practically every dealership in AL and GA until she found the car I wanted. She was persistant and never gave up, she provided us with sometimes daily and weekly updates of details from her contacts. We finally got the call we were waiting for, she found our car at a Dealership in North AL and dispatched a driver to transport it to Serra Honda Sylacauga. Mr. Don offered us a deal couldnt refused and as of 11:30 today we are the proud owners of a 2021 Sonic Gray 2.0T Accord. We would like to extend our gratitude and appreciation to Kayleen Turner and the Honda crew for their time and attention and dedication. They will always be our Dealership of choice for new or used car buying!

Can’t say enough good things about Serra Honda of Sylacauga! Ken was wonderful on the phone when we were inquiring about a Honda CRV and he followed thru wonderfully after we got there. I was so glad that they were so honest & upfront before we got there and you really have to appreciate that as I found by visiting different dealerships. Wished I had started at Honda Sylacauga!This was a 2 hour drive but absolutely worth it! Ken went over & beyond. Sales manager was great also and so was Chad! Great team and they could show some of these other dealerships how to sell (some honesty). He allowed me to upgrade from a 1995 Toyota Corolla that had almost 300,000 miles to a 2018 Ford Fusion Hybrid. Come see Matt. Don’t worry about your credit score or a large down payment. They charged me $160 hr to diagnose my vehicle they said it would only take 1 hr and a half then called and wanted more money ask for a total of 3hrs were they still couldnt diagnosis the vehicle and still charged me for something they couldnt fix then proceded to ctry and charge me $5600 to fix the vehicle that they were just throwing parts at it this point this is the worst place i have ever had to deal with

Absolute worst experience I have ever had trying to purchase a car. We had been in a wreck and was buying that day. Had called around to see which dealership was willing to work with us on the best price. We told each place exactly what we were wanting and they all gave us an out the door pricing sheet sent via text or email. Tried 2 different sales people (the first asked me what pin strips were) at Serra before ending up on the phone with the manager. He wouldnt listen to anything I was saying but only talked about why they wouldnt do anything unless I came in the dealership. He was so rude and argumentative then said have a Merry Christmas and hung up on me. Too bad for them. Next phone call was to the dealership that had listened and was polite. Within 2 hours that other salesman was at my house signing paperwork for the very thing I had called them for and could have been a sale for Serra.

Been a loyal customer since 2014! My daughter took the vehicle by to get checked out they charged her for diagnostic service and repair! In the last 6 years I’ve never had to pay for the diagnostic if they fixed my vehicle. When asked for the manager he was gone. Called Monday and Tuesday and left messages and no response. Usually they are blowing my phone up to do the after service survey! The nice ladies at the desk told me when I left they were going to let him know I wanted to speak with him! So I’m in shock that I haven’t heard from him yet! James Whitehead is the service manager and he isn’t very service oriented!

Just you typically car dealers bs. “We will get you the best deal” ... gave me a the highest quote of all 4 places I’ve been quoted (and that was on last years model, everyone else was on current model). Big disappointment, bug waste of my time. Dude was a jerk in the text when we tried to make the deal. Gave me the “Good luck” but then continue to send me long meaningless text. Felt more like a Facebook argument than an actual transaction being made. Dudes name was Eddie. Go somewhere else.

Bought an Accord Sport here and the general manager at the time did some shady stuff! The plus side was the warranty I got with the vehicle. On my way to Alabama as I am writing this may give them another chance...we will see!

Preordered my 2015 FIT from them in mid-2014, and as soon as I did, I knew I was at the right place. They told me the truth about its actual delivery time and showed me hard evidence that another dealer had misled me about when they would have my car. Comparing the two dealers, one offered what sounded great, 2 years free maintenance. But when I thought about it, how much would that even amount to on a new Honda? A few oil changes. Serra Honda of Sylacauga offered a Lifetime Warranty.No one has touched my car except them since I bought it. Owning the car has been a joy, and I just paid it off. Over 99k mikes, I’ve had only one electrical issue, it was 6 months into owning it, and it was covered by the warranty.Serviced the car there on 8/12/20 and the service manager was super informative about my first brake work ever on the car. Needed pads in front, back brakes and all rotors still good to go. Told me what to look for that would indicate I needed to flush the brake lines, so I was out the door with new brakes, synthetic oil change, tire rotation, inspection and fluids for $324.A few years ago, they went ahead on some maintenance without my really approving it. I was surprised with a bill $200-some odd more than I expected and I wasn’t prepared to pay it, I definitely wanted to put it off for a later time. They offered to let me write them an IOU, and it was still hanging in the service window when I went back a month later and settled it. The manager at that time laughed and said he didn’t think he’d see me again, which was funny because I couldn’t wait to get back there to pay them. They’d made an agreement with me based on what was right to do, without giving me any grief about it, and I really appreciated that.I hope to drive the FIT for a long time to come and they are my dealership.

They arranged the payment process and mailed me the paperwork very quickly and efficiently, detailed the car before the shipping company picked up the car. Great dealership to purchase new or used vehicles. The staff who work there are very nice and most are knowledgeable about the vehicles they are trying to sell. Even the managers seem to be very friendly and they try to work with you on the prices. The nice thing is that right across the street or the other side of the parking lot there is a Nissan dealership and on the other end a Ford dealership. So they have quite a variety of new and used cars at either Lots.

This is an unsolicited shout out and review for Serra Honda based on my recent experience. My wife and I purchased a new vehicle from Serra Honda after much research and looking around the area. Our search led us to Serra because they had a good selection in the trim and color we were looking for. I contacted the dealer via email and Kayleen was very responsive in providing answers to my questions and giving me Serras best price offer. We decided to make the 75 minute drive with our two young boys who cannot sit still for very long. Upon our arranged arrival time, the Serra staff had the vehicle ready for a test drive and quickly appraised our trade-in while our boys were kept entertained with balloons. We were given a very fair trade-in offer and Marty handled the paperwork in short order. There was no high-pressure warranty or add-on haggling which was refreshing. Since we had funding all pre-arranged, the transaction from test drive to leaving the lot in our new vehicle was 2 hours! I want to thank the entire Serra team for a wonderful buying experience!

Went in and discussed my Lease turn in for my 2016 Honda Accord on March 18. Manager and sales person told me that if i just turn it in and move up to a newer accord I wouldn’t have to worry about my overage miles. So I said why not and upgraded to a 2018 Accord sport. 2 months later get a bill from HONDA financial for overage miles and turn in fee. First thing, their shouldn’t be a turn in fee if i upgraded to a new accord second i was clearly told by the manager and sales person i didn’t have to worry about it. Never going back! Especially when you live in bham and drive an hour just to do business with someone. Ridiculous. Also called up to the dealership and the manager was no help and corporate was no help. So now contacting HONDA customer resolution center to make my case. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE!

My husband and I looked at 3 dealerships before finding Serra Honda. Each one when we asked to price match said that the price shown online with Serra was a gimmick. We called Serra before making a long drive to verify the lowest possible price for our Honda and they went even lower then the advertised online price. When we showed up to purchase the Honda, they had it detailed, all financial done except for signing and full of fuel. We also paid $1000 less out the door then the price stated over the phone. Serra Honda was amazing. We both highly recommend this dealership!

Just bought a new (2018 year) Honda Odyssey EX-L and could not be happier with our experience. First of all, I lived almost 5 hours from the dealer and they made everything extremely simple. We were able to get our trade-in appraised ($800 more than anyone else btw), the paperwork virtually all done, and approved for the loan at a reasonable rate. The entire process was smooth, relaxed, and expeditious. Best of all, when we made the drive to get our vehicle, there were absolutely no tricks or bull. The numbers were exactly as they were quoted over email, the remaining paperwork took 15 minutes, and they gassed up the van and detailed it inside and out. Actually, our saleswoman wasnt happy with the detail work and sent it back to the shop so they could get it right.Speaking of our saleswoman, I highly recommend asking for Kayleen. She knows her products and isnt remotely pushy. She kept every promise but one, and thats when she said my credit would only be run once, but in fact it was run twice. Other than that hiccup, it was the best car purchase Ive ever had. I never thought I would be able to afford a new Odyssey, but they made it happen. Oh, and a big shout out to Kevin, the finance manager. He was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend making the trip out to beautiful Sylacauga. Oh, and pro tip. Dont forget to eat at the BBQ restaurant next door thats inside a gas station. You will NOT regret it. Get the porky fries and BBQ sandwich. I believe its called Good Ole Boys bbq. Go there, I mean it.

Horrendous Customer Service ExperienceMy fiancé and I were interested in a car for $12.6K before fees and tax. We live 225 miles away (4 hour drive each way), so we wanted to get pricing information and an estimation of the value for a trade-in to determine if it would be worth the trip. We called and explained our situation to a sales rep, Mason. We asked whether we would be able to get the car for $10,000 out the door with a trade-in. He got the year, make, model, mileage, and VIN number from us and said he would check with his manager. We got a call back from Mason, where he said he spoke to his manager and based on the information we provided, he should be able to get us the car for $10,000 out the door. We went to our appointment, provided our car for inspection and test drove the car. To our surprise, the pricing sheet had our car valued at $1,000 for a trade-in for a total of roughly $12.6K. I noted the price difference, and Mason said that it was a different person inspecting the car and that was what they valued the car at. Mason left and returned shortly after with a manager. The manager apologized to us, and said he was not the one present when the phone offer was made. He said he would not be able to give us that previously agreed upon price based on the CarFax history and a previous accident, which we were unaware of. I replied that we previously provided Mason with made, model, mileage, and VIN number to run the vehicle history, and that I was upset that no one contacted us prior to our appointment to notify use that there would be a difference in the price based solely on the CarFAX. It became apparent that no one actually ran the CarFAx before our appointment, and that they misquoted us over the phone. Had we known this, we would not have wasted the time and money to go.A second manager stepped in. He went on about how his car is priced very aggressively, and that most of his customers drive an hour or so from the nearby bigger cities due to their prices, minimizing our 8-hour roundtrip drive. He said he still must make a profit on the sale, and he could provide us with his cost of the vehicle, but that we would not believe him even if his did. He said it would be impossible for him to give us the car for $10,000 out the door as previously mentioned. He appeared to be more concerned about his profit margins than rectifying the situation to make our experience less negative. We repeated our concerns and what we were told over the phone. He asked us who told us that price, and referred him to Mason. Mason stated that he did check with Don, the manager present that day, and he told Mason that he should be able to get us that price. This manager then stated that he did not believe that the part-time manager Don would have given that price if he had reviewed the car. He stated that he did not want us to feel like we were lied to, and that we must have misunderstood what he meant. He made follow up statements of how Don must have meant that he could match or better any deal that we were offered for our car. He essentially blamed us for misunderstanding the situation and chalked it all up to a miscommunication. He then noted that the sales tax was on the price sheet. He then stated that to make it right, he took off the sales tax (which is a moot point since we still pay it in Florida) and would give an additional $500 for our trade in. We took several minutes to discuss the interaction amongst ourselves, and when we returned the manager was gone.Our experience with Serra Honda of Sylacauga was highly unprofessional and there were several disconcerting and negative points of the interaction. The second manager we dealt with treated us so discourteously that we would never consider doing business with them.

Terrible customer service. I have ordered car from this dealership 6 weeks ago. I have placed a deposit 6 weeks ago. They said they were going to get the car from another dealership. I still dont have a car. No one picks up the phone. No one returns the call. I am going to the dealership to get my deposit back. Never buy a car from here unless they have it on the lot.

Jodie gave me out of the door pricing on the SUV in stock and offered the same price if I wanted to order another color. She is a down to earth sales professional. These people at this dealership are jokes if I was the owner of this dealership I would have fired the persons that I had 2 deal with they said things about another company that were lies trying 2 say there cars were bad because it was 2000.00 cheaper and 40 thousand less miles than the one they were selling when they had no way of knowing weather the cars are bad or not of the other companys cars so that discussed me to think I would buy a car from Serra Honda of Sylacauga so I will take my green backs some where else maybe to the company they were bad mouthing saying there cars were bad... to the dummies at serra honda of dummies the company is a carfax certified dealership so if u find a better deal dont go to serra honda of dummies stay away from these dummies.... u will be sorry if u deal with people like thats my thoughts and experience at serra honda of dummies....

Personally, Im a Honda lover, but the customer service department is beyond rude!!! You do not ask a customer what they need this time, when your department is lacking... I do not feel like a valued customer and I can about guarantee if some of you dont get fired that place is going to drown...Respect goes a long way!!!
