Ive been getting my tires here for several cars over the years. They usually try to give me coupons and discounts when they can. The service is quick, especially if I drop off my car in the morning. A good tip is if you want a better discount on tires call customer service and set up an appointment. They always take several dollars off of each tire for me when setting up the appointment.

Doug was friendly and polite. He got my car in and out quickly and did a great job. Was convenient to my work and the prices are always reasonable. They do NYS inspections.

This store has been good to me. I recently had a rough experience with another location, and I was able to get a discount and the problem situated. They were quick and efficient.

I have been coming to this shop for nearly 20 years (and have been a Mavis customer for nearly 30 years). I have had dozens of service visits in Syosset...tires, brakes, suspension, alignment, oil change, NYS inspection, you name it and if they offer it I have had it done here. At my most recent visit I was assisted by the new manager, Doug. My experience with Doug was my best experience thus far at this shop (or any other Mavis shop). I hope Doug is assigned as a permanent manager at this location.

My car battery died just as we were pulling into Mavis. My brother had been with me that day to help me because we couldn’t make the drive home with the car randomly turning off on the road. The worker there, ARTHUR, was despicable. He yelled at my brother for thinking that we “parked” in the middle of the station but there was no way to move the car because it died. This man got in front of my brothers face and berated him. The workers here are abysmal and I was so shocked that he not only refused to help us, he YELLED at us. He got in my brothers face and continued his rage filled outburst. I was so disgusted that this could happen and he watched us struggle as we tried to jump the car. We called for outside help and it was such a horrific experience. Please avoid this area at all costs.

Our tire blew out with a packed car and a cranky 1 and 3 year old. We got to Mavis and they took us right away, changed the tire and had us out in 30 minutes. Incredibly nice and helpful, THANK YOU!!!

I needed a wheel alignment and 4 tires dismounted, mounted and balanced. I was really on a tight schedule. The person on the phone said if you get in by three I can get you done in about an hour and a half. They gave me best service, best time, and best price even offering coupons that I didn’t have. Would definitely recommend especially when people are so quick to use social media to throw businesses under a bus.

Mavis in Syosset is the best location in the syosset/huntington area. Dave the manager is courteous, friendly, professional, and runs a tight ship! I have been to another Mavis nearby several times and it was a horrible experience. I will now go to the syosset location from now on when needed! location is kept clean and organized and you know someone is actually managing the place. The gentleman that worked on my car was also great...wish i remembered his name.

Rude customer service. Non accommodating over worked staff. They are happy to sell you tire insurance but will give you hard time to get the stuff fixed back. They should have some courtesy to speak to the customers. Horrendous waiting time.

Came out of work and saw my tire was practically flat. I realized it was 6pm so I took a chance and drove slowly over to mavis tire. When I walked in I was greeted by David the store manager, I told him what was going on, and even though it was after 6 he still took my car in and fixed it!! .. Iam so grateful for his help eventhough the store was closed. It’s nice to know there are still kind people out there!! THANK YOU DAVID!!! 🌟🌟🌟

Got a flat on the highway and had to stop here because they had a similar tire to what I needed......I have used mavis in the past and I treat all techs with respect and tip them. East meadow, Bellmore, Wantagh, Rockville center. All great places with great managers and good techs.I was with my wife and the weather was scorching on that day, about 90. I got the flat at about 9 am and made a reservation for 10 am. Arrived there and was ignored by the manager....a gentleman that calls himself Kaleb, he goes in the back somewhere. Maybe the previous customer frustrated him? Idk. So I go back to my car and call inside. Put on hold for 10 minutes. Someone else pulls in and as Im on the phone he pops out and takes his car ignoring my reservation.So I hang up and I call again. Hello I made reservation for 10 am and Ive been waiting to be attended my order number is so and soI park the car and wait for a bit hoping Im next. This manager pulls in other people that came in after me....so I step out with my wife and go to the nearby stores to cool off. Come back later car still not done.The mechanic explains whats going on....idk why, I guess he knows his manager is a jerk?I told him I made a reservation for 10 am because it was available and Im not sure why the manager has some sort of grudge or issue. Im not even from out here or never met him and I was polite to him Obviously the techs know the manager better than I do.I didnt bite into the misery and kept my composure. When it was my time to pay he had taken off his mask and tried to ignore me again. So I became a little more aggressive so I can get my car keys, pay for the damn tire and let my wife inside the a.c.At this point I just wanted to get my wife and I safely out of there, without contracting covid.Im not sure what this gentlemans issue is. What I am certain of, is that i will definitely never return to that location as long as that individual is there.Bill of sale says 12:09 pm. 10 am reservation for 1 flat Tyre that needed to be replaced.This gentleman kaleb has negative energy oozing out of him.

It was a rainy afternoon, I mean horrible downpour, and I needed help! Rental car company gave me a car with a busted up tire. The guys at Mavis hook me up, solve the problem, and did it all with a smile : )Much Love!

I have been to Mavis in Syosset, three times. They did a great job, all three times. Go there with confidence.

I have been going to mavis in Syosset for years for tires, oil changes and inspections. The employees are always very professional and friendly. I can usually drop my car are have the work completed in a few hours. We are fortunate to have this business in our community.

Had my car services in regards to a low pressure light. First was charges $70 just to change a battery in a censor. When got my car back, light was still on. Manager (tall older gentlemen) explained that it is probably because other censor batteries need to be charged too, therefore I have to pay $240 more....?I believe they should not touch the car and take the money unless they know that problem will be fixed...

I don’t think their prices are that fantastic unless you book online but unfortunately I had to get my tires done and I was in a pinch so I had to do a walk-in service which I was also happy to be able to do since I need to get my tires replaced. The store manager and staff are very polite and helpful and they took care of everything in a pretty timely manner. The reason I’m giving them three stars is because when they replaced all my tires they never checked the tire valve system and literally one day after driving my car the tire was completely flat and I had to come back To the store and get then looked at it. They let me know my tire valve was cracked and I am very happy that they replaced it for free but really I guess my frustration was why did they not look at that them when they were installing tires as they are mechanics and say hey while your car is here you should also be replacing your tire valve system and save me a headache and a trip to go back there.

I cant say enough wonderful things about this Mavis location in Syosset! I got a flat tire on Saturday morning on my way to the beach with my husband and toddler. We went to another tire shop and they told us we would have to wait over an hour and a half and definitely needed a new tire. Then we drove to Mavis and the gentleman behind the counter could see I was worried and upset. He assured me they could help my family and I right away to get us back on the road so my little guy could enjoy the beach. They were able to patch my tire and got us in and out in a half hour. The guys working there checked on us and kept us posted with what was happening to our car. I cannot thank them enough for their care, concern, and professionalism. Even the waiting area with the kids corner was cozy, clean and relaxing. I highly recommend this Mavis location. They really saved the day!

Highly experienced mechanics who showed me I was worrying about too much and the problems I was experiencing were cause from a lot less parts than I thought, my mechanic knew what he was doing, did it correctly, and thoroughly explained every part and what its doing. I would definitely go back there again, but I would have to have that same mechanic, unfortunately I did not get his name.

I had a very bad experience end to endWhen I called I was given a price including taxes etc. And the final bill was extremely higher. The invoice shows DMV inspection is done and they did not update the dmv sticker, when asked they said forgot. Then the invoice shows wheel alignment is done and they cannot show before and after alignment and the reason was printer not working. When asked when I can get a printout the answer was cannot confirm if they can show that alignment is done. Guys it was a bad decision to consider this store.

Great service! I needed an inspection (which had expired) and they took care of it in no time at all while I waited. Utter professionals. I highly recommend this place and will be now going there for all of my automotive needs.

Bill was really nice, patient and professional. He waited for my car to be towed to his shop after it was towed to the wrong shop, and immediately threw on the new tire. He could’ve closed but stayed open to take care of me. Would recommend using this Mavis shop if you can as I have used many before and they don’t provide this great service.

I dropped my car off at 11:30 for a 12pm appointment to have the tires changed and was told it would be 2 hours, top. Ended up taking 6 hours.But thats not the biggest issue.I was contacted saying the nuts on the rear wheels were rusted and was suggested that I let them cut the bolts and drive around on 4 nuits until they could order new ones.I responded saying DO NOT cut them, leave the rear tires and I will bring the car to my normal repair shop.They said they would find a way to do it.Well, I just picked up my car...and the bolts are cut on both sides of the car.I said This is not safe and was told there were nuts on the cut bolts (there arent, I have pics).They told me I can leave the car a different day and they can fix it, because we didnt have time to do it correctly.So $600 later Im left with an unsafe car with the place that made it unsafe saying they can fix it....if they only had more time than the 5+ hours they had it.There are few places I distrust now as much as Mavis and Ill now have to pay to have the job redone correctly by someone else, even though I specifically told him NOT to cut the bolts.

I have gone here twice now for an inspection and both times I was told the inspector would not be able look at my car. The first time the inspector called out sick, and when I showed up for my appointment was sent away. Now the second time Ive gone with an appointment I was told the inspector was 3 cars behind but he was out having lunch. Dont recommend getting an inspection here!

Service was ok, slow. It took me twice as long as promised to do an oil change. When you call a dispatcher in far away lands answers and makes appointments, and the times mist likely bring correspond to actual times at the local shop.

Steven is very helpful and was able to get the exact tires I wanted. Their price was the same as the lowest that I could find at any online retailer. I am a very happy repeat customer.

I had a flat tired that I needed to get repaired. I went to another place, until I came here. I can say for sure it was a best decision. They not only repaired my tire, but they told me my brake pad need replacing. They were super courteous in keeping me updated on the status of my vehicle and everything worked out great! Will definitely be going back!

Ive had NY inspections done here about 4 times in the past year. The staff is mega friendly and professional. The only downside is that the wait time can be quite lengthy if you dont make a reservation ahead of time. That being said. They have a nice wIting room with tv. Outlets for your phones. Simple but useful video game (generic Chinese 400games in one type) magazines and clean restrooms. Mohammed is the friendliest guy youll ever meet.

I have been taking my cars there for years. I find them to be experts at what they do, and Im always satisfied when I leave. Yes, repairs are expensive, but I know they are cheaper than my dealer. Since Ive never had a bad experience there, as I have had at other places, I trust them and feel confident.Last summer, my car was sounding awful. They said I needed brakes, hubs etc. They did the work for about $700.00, more or less. (not exactly remembering), and the car ran great and quiet. This summer, again horrible sounding. They changed 2 of my wheel bearings for just over $1,004.00. Not sure how much that would cost somewhere else, but anyway the car sounds quiet again, and I feel safe driving it.

I wish I could remember the names of the guys who helped me. They were patient with my calls ahead, they had me in and out for an inspection in about 20 minutes, and they were kind enough to even put my registration and plates on my car (which had temps at the time). Ill definitely be back for inspections, and hopefully for a set of summer tires.

The manager Ian was extremely helpful. He was juggling a full house of customers and was still able to provide me with the necessary attention. In the strip mall behind the shop was a decent place to grab a burger and beer while waiting for the service to be completed.

The service here is good and the price is very reasonable. They try to get me in and out during my lunch hour for a simple oil change and most of the time it works out. The waiting area is clean and comfortable and the staff is friendly.

Great friendly service done right! They were able to take the car right in and with all the work that needed to be done, everything was quickly and expertly handled and spoke to me every step of the way with what was going on. Hard to find a good auto shop who isnt trying to cheat you any way they can. I will definitely be choosing Mavis in Syosset again. I highly recommend this location.

I got a flat tire on the way to work and had to make an emergency appointment. Sean and Kiba were great- took my car in at 11:30 and had it ready by 3:30. They had no problems adding extra services like an oil change and tune-up even without an appointment in advance. They looked over the entire car even when I didnt ask (but I am so grateful they did). Ill be back for sure!

They no longer do inspections at Syosset location - I just found out by calling. Website is misleading since it lists New York State Inspections for the Syosset location.

DO NOT GO! 2nd time in a row after confirming a price was out the door, it was much higher upon checkout. manager bill was very rude, didnt apologize at all, and blamed it on it being an upstate representative even though I called the direct line to the Syosset location. Also heard another employee cursiny on the phone with another customer upon picking up the car.

I have asked for a specific tires and they said they have it and will have it ready on the same day and asked me to come over. I was there on time as I promised, the front desk guy SEAN was rude and dont know how to talk to customers. Then they didnt deliver the car on time and I had to wait for 1 extra hour and even after that I was asked to come back next day because they only have 2 tires and dont have the other 2 tires. Then they said they cannot open the nut and wanted to charge me for $30 and I have to fight with them and then everything works out fine. Shame on MAVIS dont go there, go to some other place.

Hi or miss. The first time I was there the service was okay. The second time was horrendous and I had to leave. They didnt have the tire they were short-staffed people getting angry. They need to be more organized

Absolutely horrible experience.Hit a pothole on Thursday, tire was slowly starting to become flat and I was able to safely get to Mavis on Jericho Tpke in Syosset.He showed me that the rim was badly bent and it would have to be sent out to be repaired...said I would be able to have fixed Monday. Monday comes, I call, and he hasnt heard from the rim guy. I called back 3 hours later...still nothing. I called back ( he never reached out to me) 2 hours later and Im told the rim is not back yet.Tuesday morning, I finally get a call, to tell me the rim is unfixable and that a new rim is needed for $300. I asked for my old rim back and he said that is impossible, and that they must be the ones to dispose. Obviously, he wanted to make money off of my fixable rim.I called my mechanic at home to see if it were true, he told me to cancel the order right away and to bring there ( which I would have done in the first place but could not safely get there).My rim was fixable, also, my mechanic also found an issue with the back tire that Mavis did not even see.This makes me incredibly sad because I have used Mavis in the past ( the one in Oceanside, NY is fantastic) and this is the first time Ive had an issue. I am also not one to write reviews but this makes me livid and I would not want this to happen to anyone else.

This is a clip joint. Theyre tires are cheaper then my mechanics but every time i go there they keep me waiting much longer then they said and they wait till youre at the end of your patience and then they send a guy in to sell you some extra sensor or alignment that you dont need. Ive foolishly been taken by them because they caught me off guard and I regret it after. Theyre sleazy and I feel like I need a shower afterwards. tires are fine, thats not the issue.

Had a blow out on a run flat tire and had to get to a wedding in Pennsylvania.Arrived at shop at 8 AM with no appointment.Steve at shop was extremely helpful.They didnt have my tire size in stock so he searched around and found one for me in Farmingdale.He called Fred in Farmingdale who had the tire waiting when I got there.He put a man right on the job and I was on my way by 9AM.I made the wedding!Thanks Steve and Fred and Carl for your assistance.

The worst place to get your car serviced. I came here for an oil change and tire rotation and the clumsy staff LOST MY WHEEL LOCK. Took me three different trips to get my wheel lock replaced. The staff, especially the manager, Steven, is very unprofessional and rude with customers. Lastly it took them about 2 hours to do an oil change. Staff is not reliable. Please go to a different Mavis.

I visit this location a few times a year for tire rotations, inspections, etc. and have never had a problem or unexpected delay. Prices are competitive and service is professional.

I purchased and replaced two new tires from mavis in town of syosset, they refused to do warranty service regarding a defective tire needs replace after only 6 months that I purchased from this shop,. so disappointed with this place, They do not care about the customer, this shop just want to make money and don’t care any service.

Friendly service.takes longer to finish the job and one time one of the center cover was not replaced back and I had to drive back to have them put back on. Make sure check everything before taking off.

Bunch of dishonest people . Start at $130 and final bill is $720. Run away don’t go there

Needed a last minute NYS Inspection on a Sunday. They got me in and out with a little waiting. Perfect.

Worst experience I ever had with any store. Went to them for changing the tyres and they recommended some tyres for my honda accord. After they changed the tyres, the car steering vehicle started shaking while driving and it was obviously due to the incorrect wheel balancing. I went back 3 times for fixing the issue and still not fixed. The manager is now saying its due to the tyres and according to him they are cheap. These were the tyres that were recommended by them only in the first place. Never going back. Very bad experience.

Never coming to this place again. Dropped car off at 9:30am to replace rear brakes and manager said it will be first come, first serve so went back at 3:10pm, the car was not ready. Its obvious they worked on other cars first and made me wait again...

Bad experience, Had flat tire and went to this place, they found one nail and fixed for $40 something, drove home and next time notice 1 psi drop, thought it was normal, but since every day drop 1 psi I took the car back to the shop, they want me to drop off the car, after 2 hours, they call me to pick up the car, I asked what was the problem, and how much it cost, they told me on the phone there was nail and it will be 19.99 plus some fee come up to $30, when I went to pick up my car, they told me they put down the wrong info, it should be $47.77.First of all, I really believe they didnt fix the problem first time. Second, told me $30 on the phone and charge more when I pick up the car. I paid and would never go back

Mavis was a fabulous place to go and get tire prices they were very helpful I am going to be going back there to replace two tires on my Jeep Wrangler their prices were very competitive their knowledge of the tires were excellent and they gave me exactly what I needed I recommend Mavis in Syosset

Why does Google have no option for zero stars.Thats what this place is.Pushy sales people who just want to maximize the invoice by hiding & slamming things with customers.I called before, made an appointment, got the quote for tires including tax & fees.When I went there I asked does my car needs alignment.Without inspecting the car he said yes right away. I believed the sales person but then he charged 79.99 for alignment and I had to correct him that over the phone you told me its 59.99.He was like ya ya I can do that.Then I saw a charge of another $30 on invoice & he gave me some BS abt tpms sensor and included it in invoice without telling me which I found very unprofessional. It needed inspection but by the time my wife told me not to use these guys cz she was already annoyed. I still did it, guess what sales person calls me in half hour kinda scaring me to fail the inspection cz of my rear brakes,exactly what I was expecting. Then he mentions that he will discount the price of tpms sensor that he charged before.Its not about money If anything needs to get done I will get it done somewhere else but never go to mavis again in my life.I am in sales too but selling and slamming are two different things.I dont write reviews until its extremely good or bad.But google is full of bad reviews about this place.i would not recommend anyone to use mavis in Syosset.

They sold me 4 tires at a reasonable price, which I ordered in advance and waited 5 days for. They kept me waiting 3 hours to install the tires with an appoint made days earlier. They took my very expensive machined stainless valve stems and caps and threw them in the trash in favor some rubber POS all-around.While I was there an irate customer was accusing them of making his car unsafe and demanding a refund. They made absolutely no effort to satisfy the customer, but rather read him the 5,000 words of legalese on the back of the bill of sale.John Arbuckle, founder of Maxwell House Coffee was famous for his statemant, you get what you pay for. If you think saving $20 on a tire is worth the comedy, go here, by all means.Addendum: I received a call within 24 hours of posting my review from the district sales manager. The outreach and offer of resolution was well intended. It is refreshing to see an enterprise monitor and respond to online reviews. Not every experience with a retailer or wholesaler will be positive, but where there is an effort to set the ship right, it is well received by consumers. Kudos to Mavis for their sensitivity and willingness to address concerns.

I came here on sunday. Despite the fact that Google Map time says it closes at 5pm, the cashier said that they are closing. It was after 3 pm and I asked the cashier to fix my flat tire. I was really in need to fix that tire since most tire places close on Sundays. Not good for the business to let your customers down.
