Great place to buy meat, wine, produce and more. I forgot plants and it is lower price compare to bigger store. You are paying for quality and supporting local store. Been shopping here for decade and no complain.

We absolutely love this place. We come here weekly to get our produce since we go through it so quickly. Ive experienced an actual line here maybe 3 times in 5 years, it is an amazing gem that keeps us coming back. Also, Im proud to say we probably have at least 15 of the amazing pots that get put out front for sale!

Very impressive selection of produce. I love coming here for fruits and veggies. Certain pantry staples can get a little bit overpriced here but its a good balance. Lots of great plants to look at outside too

I’m not sure why they advertise ‘lowest prices in town’ when literally any place in town has the same items for less. They were trying to pass off a 5 dollar, 5inch pot (maybe 15 in Seattle’s snootiest plant store) for 40. Not glazed, not really embellished or decorated at all. I thought it was an inventory number because I thought there was no way they could charge that much for it. Update: found the same pot at Portland Ave. Nursery, glazed, for a third of the price.

The food is great quality and the staff is awesome, but the prices are expensive

Prices are a little high but the have a great assortment of beer, wine, and meat. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and they are open 24/7. We like coming here to buy boats head brand cheese and deli meat and the occasional wagyu steaks.

I went to the Puyallup location on 8/31/21. I saw multiple unmasked customers in the store. I immediately took the item I had already gathered to the cashier and asked why unmasked people were being allowed inside. The cashier told me that they were not allowed to “harass” unmasked customers by telling them to mask-up or leave. I told her that it was not harassment to uphold the public health laws. She disagreed and insisted it was harassment. I reminded her of governor’s mask mandate, requiring masks in all indoor public spaces. She said that she thought the unmasked customers were “fine” in the store, and refused to require them to mask. I left the store and will not shop there until the owner/manager requires his stores to follow state public health protocol. Many people who shop there are seniors, in multigenerational households, or have family members who would be devastated by Covid. It is Tacoma boys responsibility to follow public health mandates! I will let all my relatives, friends and neighbors know not to shop there anymore.

Great grocery store. I love the flowers and plants they have outside of the store. They have one of the best butcher shops in town

Initially I was impressed by this grocery stores selection of products and gluten free items but it appears they do not bother to keep up on expiration dates for critical items such as fresh meat. Bought some fresh Bratwurst sausages here and noticed at home that they had expired almost two months ago this could have put someone in the hospital just saying...

Quality Store with quality product. From sweet to sour to ghost pepper, thier sauce selections wont disappoint!!

Although I like this store, I’m leaving a 1 star review because I was sold rotten strawberries at a premium price. The top layer of strawberries looked great, but when I got home and started washing the berries, I discovered all the bottom berries were covered in white mold. It was really disappointing!I tried to email customer service to resolve the issue privately, but the email bounced back because the address was invalid. I shop at stores like Tacoma Boys for quality produce and meats – I get that sometimes things happen and mistakes are made, but they should stand by their products sold and have functioning customer service contact information available to resolve issues like this.

Love this store! A little pricey but excellent selection of gluten free items and fresh local produce. The staff are always a pleasure to deal with and the kids love the amazing candy selection.

Just walked in to purchase some nice steaks and witnessed an employee cleaning the inside of the glass of the meat display cases... problem is he was spraying windex all over the meat because he was spraying the glass directly. Will not be back if this is how they treat food safety.

Very disappointed. I called ahead to ask if they had lobster tails and blueberry pie. I was passed around to different departments to ensure they had these two items. I was told lobster tails were from Brazil. I immediately made the drive there on Mother’s Day. They do not actually carry blueberry pie and the lobster tails from the “fresh” meat department were frozen solid and from Canada. Won’t be going back.

Extreme wide variety of products that needs to be taken seriously in a good way! They have a complete aisle dedicated to gluten-free products. Their meat, seafood and produce are top quality. Ive been shopping here for the last 30 years. I wouldnt steer you wrong. 💪

They had a great selection of herbs. I went in for Basil & a beautiful purple basil. Chemical free.

They have an excellent meat counter & can get specialty meat like prime rib if you call & order ahead of time.

Always the best produce! And their bean dips and salsas are my fave!

I wish I lived closer to this incredible storehouse of good stuff. We stopped because I had been told about their gorgeous pottery. If you are looking for large frost proof pots for your garden... this is the place! Stunning collection - they are not inexpensive BUT they are heavy duty and beautifully glazed. I would love about a dozen of them for my patio area!!!! And of course, Tacoma Boys has all the pots surrounded by lovely flowers, herbs and baby lettuces. Its fun to wander about. Then we entered to find more flowers and pots followed by displays of fruit, veggies and aisles of exotic taste treats. This place is like Trader Joes on steroids ( and I LOVE TJs).If you are in the area... stop in! There is not a chance you wont find something that will make your tastebuds happy.And the staff was super cool and helpful! Did I mention I wish they were closer? I mean it. Great store.

I love this place. Dont expect cheap. Do expect fresh, local produce and a very good selection of niche foods and lots of beer and wine. They also have herb and vegetable plants aplenty during the growing season.While I wouldnt do my weekly shopping here, I would definitely recommend it for building that special dinner with quality ingredients.

This is a great neighborhood store with an excellent butcher counter, including seafood, and a outstanding produce department. Today I found New Mexico hatch peppers, which are virtually unheard of in our area, at least fresh that is, and was super pleased. These guys never fail to impress. I just wish the store was bigger and had even more great selection.

Produce Selection is meh, ceramic and pottery offering is Buy 1, get 2 Free, but what they have are so overpriced that it is challenging to find any value in this proposition. What is truly sad and the real travesty of this location, is the wine selection.Billing itself as the largest selection of beer and wine in Tacoma, it may well check that box. The shelves are full various winery detritus.They do offer a variety of wines at different price points. What they have is overpriced for what it is. There are no hidden gems or even, value for money bottles on offer. To me, it seems like they take whatever their wine broker offers at each price point, with no thought or skill in editing what they put on their shelves. For national brands, with same wine pricing $2 to $10 more per bottle, youd be better off just popping into Safeway and picking something that fits your budget.

Fantastic selection of the fun and funky! The nut butter options are something to behold, and if youre saddled with creating appetizers for the next event, Tacoma Boys has it all. The beer selection is also by far the most abundant of anywhere in WA state for an independent grocery.

Its super clean,, Smells great, amazing customer service and night time is the best time to go.Abit pricey but thats natural as the good stuff always is. Produce (fruits) has no chemicals on them so they dont last long in fridge or on counters but you can taste the quality

Just browsing I drive buy all the time but never stopped in. They had lots of fresh fruit a huge wine selection a garden department and a deli with fresh cut meats. Im definitely going to comeback for a few things.

Excellent organic selections!

This store has a pretty layout and smells heavenly from all the fruit and the staff is super helpful and friendly. My only issue is that I’ve bought strawberries here a few times and they always go bad after one day. Prices are high, therefore the quality should be as well.

Tacoma Boys Rule. Good local produce, solid meat/fish selection. Signature seasonings and rubs that are often cheaper/tastiesr than their brand name counterparts. Tacoma boys is not cheap but it is the place I go to eat fresh, local, & delicious food.

Picked up some scallops so I can make scallops wrapped with bacon for dinner tonight they look wonderful also got some sourdough bread that looks fabulous

Tacoma boys is one of my favorite stores unfortunately this location leaves much to be desired.... Bypass this location and go to Tacoma boys S.hill Puyallup.... Its spendy but so worth the drive!!! Or if you want to stay in Tacoma theres always metropolitan market!!!

Great atmosphere. Some items are easily found elsewhere for much less, but this market has all the feels and makes up for it with other unique finds and oldfashion-esque deli.

Love the sellection of cider from local places.

I called and asked if they had fresh seafood. They said yes. I arrived and I found the seafood section and this was it. I asked someone working if they have fresh stuff anywhere or just frozen and he said they just carry frozen.

This is my favorite place to food shop! Fresh fruits and vegetables were plentiful. The meat department has great variety and the service is fantastic.

I had the best experience at a store in Washington, hands down. First of all, my 4 year old needed to use the bathroom. I was certainly prepared for there not being one, or it being inaccessible to the public for COVID. But thankfully, they allowed him to use the one in the back.Add this experience to the incredibly friendly customer service all the way around, to the large selection, and Ill be going out of my way for sure to continue shopping here! :)

The cashier wouldnt take a hundred dollar bill at 7:30 am when my total was 72 dollars which Only required 28 dollars in change back to me. Good thing I had my debit card or I wouldnt have been able to make breakfast

This is one of my absolute favorite local grocery stores for numerous reasons. My top being that the quality of the fruit and vegetables is one of the best for competitive prices. This store is open 24/7 and as somebody who has worked night shift I cant even begin to express how much I appreciate those hours making it possible for me to keep myself well fed.
