I enjoyed this shop so much. It felt like I was back in Asia. Its not fancy but has many Korean everyday household goods from pots and pans, bedding to cosmetics.

There is a short lady w a pomytail that is so sweet. she helped me to pick my size slippers and a pillow tonight. obsessed w this store they have house stuff. bedding, kitchen stuff, cleaning supplies and more! these are soo soft and warm!

Great experience here. They have so many things you cant find at the regular stores. Youll go in planning to buy one thing but pick up a couple other cool useful items during your trip. Def recommend a visit even just to check out some of the creative things they got!

This place, regarding customer service is a hit or miss. Been a miss lately. I asked a worker for a price check on an item since there was no price listed, she told me, in an irritated voice that they were busy and grudgingly told me the price for the item. Wow..another, some of the workers insist on arguing with you. I bought a couple of pots and one of them, just got old, so I went in to get a new one. They didn’t have the same size. They had one smaller and bigger than the one I bought before. I asked the worker if they still had the size in between the 2 and she said they never carried that particular size. Thank goodness I took a picture of it. I showed her and she said I must of have bought them somewhere else. I told her I bought this and the smaller one here at the same time about a year ago. She still insisted that they never carried that particular size I was needing. I told her to leave me alone, I’ll figure out what I want to purchase and to stop following me everywhere... seriously, they do have a great selection of things I really need, but the owner needs to step up and train their employees better!!!!

Great selection of K goods at reasonable price

Bought an electric blanket on Jan 22. Took it home and plugged it in. It didnt get very warm at all and required a long run time at max settings to get it warm. Took it back for a refund on Jan 29 at 630pm. I told the cashier at the front I wanted to return the item and presented the receipt and was directed to Customer Service. The customer service representative asked about the issue and said she would need to test the item and plugged it in. I walked around the store and waited about 20 minutes and went back to see what the result of the test was. Customer service said she wasnt able to process a return because the manager wasnt there.and to come back tomorrow and ask for a manager. I dont understand why she would go through all these motions when she is not empowered to process a return.

This store makes me wish I was in Korea. Polite staff. Prices are good. 😀

Shin Shin is a true Lakewood treasure. Find thousands of items, primarily from South Korea that you cant find anywhere else.If your kids like the cartoon Porroro the penguin and friends - this is the place to find Porroro items and toys.Also, Thick, amazing blankets, gorgeous rugs, elegant dishes, ginormous pans, woks and colanders, unique kitchen gadgets. For organizing and food storage, Shin Shin has space and food saving containers I have never seen in the US.They have some appliances, kitchen devices, knives and more.My favorite Shin Shin purchases are womens clothing. They have a limited selection, but the fabrics are seasonally appropriate. For cold months, they have leggings/stretch pants lined with thick fleece. For warm months, the fabrics are unbelievably light weight and cool - many designed to protect skin from the sun without being too hot.Note about shopping: Like many of the Korean/Asian stores in Lakewood, Shin Shin takes theft prevention seriously. Try not to take large purses or bags or ask if they want you to check it in at the register.Employees are visibly stationed around the store. They provide customer service as well as theft prevention. They are quite vigilant and may seem to follow you and/or watch you carefully. Dont take offense. It is not personal, theyre doing their jobs. I always try to show respect by putting items Im purchasing in a provided basket and making sure they can see what Im doing. Occasionally, they may come and take your items up front for you while you continue to shop. This is normal.P.S. They sell foot massagers that you can try in the store -I swear just 10 minutes in it felt life changing.

Staff is always ready to help you find anything youre looking for and to answer any questions you may have. Great selection of cookware, rice cookers, woks, dishes, knives, and kitchen gadgets. All types of Asian serving dishes and tea sets. They also have great roll pillows for those of us with neck problems. Got the buckwheat filled pillow 2 weeks ago and already feel an improvement in my neck. Also have a good little selection of butane and butane stoves. Perfect for camping or cooking indoors as well. Highly recommend checking out this store!

I like all the neat stuff from Korea, it is a great place the staff helped me find some slides. They are lite and comfortable, and affordable I ended getting a pair for my daughters too.

I can’t even begin to tell you how much I love the store! I love to cook, and this gives me everything that I need and more. From hard to find cutlery two incredibly enormous cooking pots. Where ever you were located the store is worth a drive just to explore. I love to go to the store with my friends and hold them hostage while I look at every single little thing. Thank God I’ve never been kicked out! The staff has always been really really friendly. Is it strange? That I’m thinking I really want to go right now. But it’s too early in the morning they’re not open yet. I might love the store a little too much.

It is a very cool store and offers a lot of different home and kitchen items. Home stuff includes mats, textiles, Korean style blankets. Kitchen stuff has lots of stuff that are useful for those who own a restaurant. Stone bowls, metal plates/bowls, rice cookers, utensils, cooking pans, electric grills/kettles.Really, if you have time and was going to the sushi restaurant next door or H-mart nearby, stop by and check it out at least.

Very interesting and fun stuff to lok at. Some of it is a bit over priced but you will be surprised on how many things they have whether it pertains to beauty, household, hygiene, things for your home. I may even go back this week

Whoa! This store is amazing. A friend told me about it, describing it as The Korean Walmart. Its got just about everything, great traditional cook wares, including gigantic pots, gardening tools, dishes, clothing, small electronics and bedding. Theres much more still to see. I bought a new stacked bamboo steamer for dumplings and a great cutting board and plan to return soon. The prices are fair and very reasonable. Theres plenty of nearby, accessible parking too.

I have been going to this store for years. Great selection, quality and prices. I am and have not been disappointed on the items I have bought from shin shin. I bought 2 sets of car seats.... One for my CRV in Hawaii and one for my Hyundai in WA....they are great. The dishes are beautiful. Please bring friends, you will be amazed with their selections, quality and prices are good. I am a customer that travels from my home in Kirkland and it is worth the drive over to Tacoma.

Very nice place to shop, the staff go out of there way to help you and show you how the equipment works. They have lots of pachants, to work with you. This place has a large selection of kitchen & home items. Overall, it is cheaper to buy Korean stuff here compared to other Korean grocery stores although it is naturally more expensive than buying stuff from Korea. Of course food items are not counted in this evaluation.

So many beautiful things

Shin Shin is a gem! A huge variety of items: appliances, utensils, tableware, cookware, storage containers, cleaning supplies, comforters, personal grooming and beauty supplies, toys, clothes, novelty items, snacks...I could go on and on.The service is attentive without being overbearing. The prices are very competitive - meeting and beating online shopping and often with a more comprehensive selection of goods.I have often found that Ive spent over an hour just oohing and aahing over items I never knew I wanted, like a rice storage bin that dispenses rice in 1cup increments, red ginseng tonic, slippers with removable velcro-attached cleaning pads (genius!) that even fit my size 10 feet...I could go on and on.

Very organized store, and high quality goods. İts too far away from where I live but it worths the trip.
