I was excited to find a grocery store out here and was looking forward to supporting them, but was frankly shocked to find the cashier not wearing a mask nor enforcing the state-wide mask mandate. As much as I prefer to support local businesses, there is no way I can support any establishment, especially one as overpriced and under stocked as this one, that puts the health and welfare of its customers in jeopardy.

Would love to be able to support this small, local business. But either the cashier or the local boomers behind you in line will generally not be wearing a mask. It’s deeply unsettling this far into a global pandemic to still be encountering this kind of blatant disregard for public safety from anyone who wants your business. As someone with friends who have died from this virus, I have zero patience for this. Won’t be back.

Why is there a deli in the market when it doesnt look used. I used to go to the original Browns Point IGA Market and it was great including the deli. I dont see anything special about the market that would warrant me stopping in there on my way to and from work. QFC has more to offer. During the pandemic I did stop in twice on my to work once and after work another day so I can get a bottle of motor oil for my car, but I dont feel that they deserve the business I gave them because the employee working there wasnt wearing a mask and there were no signs posted for the mask mandate and they clearly dont care about public safety. I see that the place is changing management so I will check it out at a later time and update my review as needed but for now. This is how I feel.

A little bit market, a little bit convencience store. Owned by locals and operated by them and a handful of friendly staff! They carry all the must have items and a good selection of snacks and beverages. Prices are higher then a big chain store but it is worth it knowing my money is staying local and supporting my community.

Beer, booze, groceries and more. Having been raised in lower Browns Point, its nice that a local market is still available there. Bonus points as there is no need to deal with Twin lakes traffic. Stop in to get friendly staff (one of the cashiers is my Mom 😊) and a welcoming atmosphere. Side note: This is not a Walmart, so not the cheapest prices, but Im more than willing to pay a little more to keep it local.

The owner and all the employees are top notch. Convenient for beer, wine, spirits, snacks, pizzas, soft drinks, breakfast supplies, ice cream, cleaning supplies, household supplies, firewood, ice, and so much more.Huge shout out to Tara and Sara(h), the absolute best! I used to shop at this high-priced Browns Point market as often as possible for the sole purpose of supporting a community small business, but I stopped due to an employee’s refusal to wear a mask during the pandemic in defiance of a state mandate. The owner was made aware by a dozen or more patrons but she refused to require the employee to wear a mask or a face shield and seems unconcerned. For this reason, I will not shop here again, even after the pandemic is over.

Felt like much more of a bodega than a true market, and they were out of a lot of the produce and meats when we went, in the middle of the day on a Wednesday.

Small store filled with basic items. I dont think any other grocery stores are close by. If you are looking to grab a couple of snacks to take down to the beach this is your option. Many years ago they had a large beer selection but it has shrunk since then and doesnt offer the selection it once used to. Located in a strip mall with a food truck parked out front and a couple of places to eat towards the other end of the complex.

The woman at the cash register was helpful and personable. Made our stop enjoyable....and they had the groceries we needed too.

This store refuses to follow a statewide mask mandate. I’m happy to take my business somewhere else that takes the health of the community seriously.

Sparse selection, the prices are a bit high, considering many of the items can be found 15 to 25 percent cheaper a few miles away.

This is a combination of a liquor store and a convince store usually attached to a gas station. To call it a market is extremely generous. You will pay more here for items but it may be worth it to those in need of something quickly. They seem to know their limits and only had 1 container of yogurt on hand so that it didnt go pass the expiration date. If you are looking for a grocery store this is not likely what you are wanting. I had read a review indicating there was hot, fresh food here. This was not the case when I visited.

Amazing little store! Seems like they always have what I need. A nice bottle of wine for unexpected drop-ins, snacks for a road trip, some cold tablets, a jug of distilled water, quick stop supper fixings. A bit of everything! How do they get so much in that little shop?

Produce was not fresh due to the turnover rate. Not too many people come here to buy that type of stuff here. You get better food at QFC at a good price. Everything is way more expensive here for no reason.Last time I went in for the deli,I was ignored for another customer. He was doing something and told me to wait. Then another person shows up and he immediately served her. I stared at him after he was done and he still continued to ignore me until I said something.One thing I noticed about Browns point is that its not accommodating to anyone but white people. Ive had racial discrimination by other customers at the diner next door and been treated like a leper at this grocery store. I dress nice and speak proper English so I have no clue what it is other than race.

I always enjoy my time here, although its selection of fresh fruits and vegetables is rather small since they downsized, the people that work here are some of the most enjoyable people to be around. They are always quick to ask you how your days going and actually seem to want you to tell them. They are always happy and always ready to positively engage you in any topic you may bring up. They simply make you feel like they care, and that means a lot in todays rush rush world.
