I recently moved back to Tallahassee and was on the hunt for antique shops… When I found Memory Lane Antiques, I hit the jackpot! What a lovely collection of true antiques, with the history of each piece beautifully displayed on each tag. I found a beautiful chest of drawers, have my eye on two other pieces, and then I’ll go back for some artwork! Thank you, Paul!
I had such a wonderfull experience! When I went in, the first thing the guy said to me was that this is a REAL antique shop. Everything in there was at least 50 years old or older. And the convenient tags on everything tell you literaly EVERYTHING you need or want to know about the item.
Loved our visit here! Tons of really cool OLD antiques, and the owner has lots of stories to share about them. Best of all, his prices are incredibly reasonable. If you like true antique shops, definitely add this place to your list.
Stopped in today for our first time and I must say this place was very impressive! Lots of very nice and unique items. No junk, just quality pieces. The owner was extremely knowledgeable and pleasant to talk with. Would recommend!!
Very neat, genuine antiques shop with a lot of unique and rare finds. The owner is highly knowledgeable and will gladly answer your questions about any item in the shop. Cannot recommend highly enough!
The owner is a walking historical Google with the tender heart of a knowledgeable uncle/grandpa that has a story for everyyhing. This is a true antique store everything is 50+ years old. No junk to be seen here.
Very clean and organized. No flea market stuff here. Priced mostly for the collector, not the reseller. Some lovely items. That being said, I got a real sleeper that was worth much more than I paid for it. Owner pleasant. You will have to put your purse in a locker, so if that offends you, dont bother coming in.
Great prices!! Owner knows what he is selling and is very helpful!
Paul is always a pleasure to speak to, he’s well informed and has some of the most interesting pieces you could find!!
They have some of the best things, this is by far the best Antique store I have ever been in.
Great place. I adore Paul and he has some beautiful pieces at a good deal. Very friendly and proud of his store. He’s helped me with a purchase from another dealer when I called and asked for advice. Fantastic. He also lets you hold things and leaves most things unlocked for you to able to get a closer look so the lockers are completely understood in my opinion.
Nice antique mall!
Owner is professional and helpful. Great antiques and great prices.
If you want the real deal this is the place to shop for antiques. You will not be disappointed.
This antique store is one of the places that adds to the small town Tallahassee charm that can sometimes be forgotten. You walk in and it’s like a whole museum and every room is an adventure, every piece has a history and story. Not to mention that the service is the most welcoming and inviting, Paul truly makes you feel known. This antique store is a place I will continue visiting and learning from. Highly recommend anybody and everybody to experience it!!!
Have been going here for going on 4 years and always enjoy the friendly conversations with the owner. Prices have always been reasonable and many times a bit less than what you can find online.
Walking through the doors literally takes one down memory lane. The owner is knowledgeable, pleasant and has a great sense of humor. My sisters and I will definitely stop in whenever we are in town.
We have visited the shop twice now, but we will not return. The shop has some nice pieces and we considered acquiring a couple of items, however, the owner is so annoying, arrogant, and simply the worse know-it-all you would ever want to meet so we could not wait to get out of there. His pretend friendliness is about trying to show you how much “HE THINKS” he knows and like most people the more he talks, which he does far too much of, the more you realize how little he does know. Pretentious man without the class, true knowledge, or skill to back up any need to be pretentious! It is amusing in a way to interact with people like this man as they never know who they are actually talking to or how knowledgeable, cultured, and affluent the person they are attempting to educate actual might be.
The owner Paul is very knowledgeable. The shop is arranged well and all items have a detailed description. Best mall I have visited in a long time
Fun antiques with quality stories!
What a beautiful shop! Gorgeous antiques and very reasonable prices. No junk here to sift through, just good quality antiques. The owner, Paul, is very friendly, funny, and informative. It is definitely worth your time to stop in.
What a charming store. The sales floor was clean and inviting. The items for sale were well lit and presented. Parking was easy.
The items are displayed nicely & prices are reasonable. The owner is a wonderful gentleman whom the conversation made the trip even more worth while. Personally I was happy to leave my purse in the locker rather than tote it though the shop...it was obvious it had not been touched. We will be sure to stop in when we are in the area again. Thanks for having a antique shop that actually deserves to be called an antique shop!!!
Came in with questions and received very knowledgeable answers. The owner was friendly and helpful, and it’s a Tallahassee store that you should stop by and check out if antiques are your thing.
The proprietor is very nice, lets you look at everything. Great variety of antiques and nice collectables.
Mr. Jones,A junk shop is a retail outlet similar to a thrift store which sells mostly used goods at cheap prices.A thrift store is a place where goods can be donated to be refurbished and sold. Usually benefits a non-profit organization. An antique shop is a retail store specializing in the selling of antiques and/or vintage items.Junk shops or thrift stores provide a necessary function and should not be looked at negatively. So when I refer to such a store it’s the same as saying a grocery or hardware store. I’m describing the store. I personally do not want such a store and have worked very hard to provide my customers with antiques and vintage items. By the way, vintage items are from 50 to 99 years old & antiques are 100 or more. Also, in my 66 years I have come to realize that hard work has given me the right to toot my own horn when I say I do not want a junk or thrift store...
Unique finds and a wonderful friendly owner.
From viewing Neapolitan Bonapartes elaborate bedroom to seeing the Mona Lisa and golden cathedrals of Italy and the castles of France never have I been yelled at to relinquish and lock my purse in a YMCA style locker. You Sir, will never have a chance to rummage through my purse while I am in a back room looking for treasures. You Monsieur, are a swine.
Its a very nice place to find quality antiques
If you want a junk store this isnt it!This antique store has nothing but high quality pieces. The owner is highly informative about every piece. The prices are more than fair. Ive never been to an antique store where so much information on each piece is presented.
TO THE WOMEN WHO VIEWED NEAPOLITAN BONAPARTES BEDROOM. YOU HAD THEOPTION TO LEAVE YOUR PURSE IN YOUR CAR. NO ONE YELLED AT YOU TO RELINQUISH YOUR PURSE TO A YMCA STYLE LOCKER, AND YOU MADAME, ARE A SWINE...
Very nice store! Owner is helpful and knowledgeable.
Okay. This place does have some great stuff. As the owner will tell you (repeatedly) there is no junk. We were told about this place by another store - heres my issue....the owner has a large ego. He mouthed off about the place that referred us to him and how hed never have a place like that or that hed never even shop there. He then spoke negatively about other shops in town. I was so annoyed that I stayed outside while my lady finished looking around. You are welcome to shop here if you can stand the hot air.
Antique shopping is one of our favorite pastimes and over the past several years have visited many shops in the Southeastern area. This visit turned into a very delightful experience. The place is very clean and organized. Every piece has a descriptive tag with a little history attached to it. No dust/dusk unpleasant smell. The owner, Paul, is a gentleman with vast knowledge of what he owns and sells. I learned the difference between antique and vintage among other things. It was a very pleasant experience and what Paul doesnt know is that his personal touch made our first ever visit to Tallahassee one to remember. Thanks.Lisa & Miguel Sagardia
Friendly professional staff, fantastic antiques. A must go in Tallahassee
Wonderful. Honest and knowledgable. I had a few things and he didnt take advantage. Very smart man and very personable.
Excellent attention and service, the variety of products is huge and they also have good prices overall.
Owner is very knowledgeable and a pleasure to talk to. Great Stuff! Definitely check it out!
Lots of great antiques, meticulously labeled, and reasonably priced.
If youre junk shopping, this is NOT your destination. Intriguing assortment of pieces. Worth a trip. Clean.
It was so cool and awesome. You could tell that they cared and took care of their very old objects.
This place is wonderful!!! Figure youll be there at least two hours to see everything!
Quality items, no thrift shop junk. Paul is extremely knowledgeable, fair and personable.
Quality antiques with an honest owner with quality knowledge and passion of his items at more than reasonable prices
Wonderful experience. Great selection, friendly service!
My response to the couple that visited the shop but have decided not to return...You commented that I was a pretentious man without the class, true knowledge or skill to back up the information of the items in my store...Wrong...You had tagged me as annoying, arrogant and simply the worse know-it-all...Again, wrong...You also found it amusing in the way I interacted with you because you are a knowledgeable person who is cultured and affluent...Amusing...What would you expect from a person who has been in the business for over 45 years and when to school at the Carnegie Museum in Pittsburgh...
I could spend all day in this place! 100% quality pieces
Like the shop easy to get around
Expensive
Super cool antique store. The owner really knows his stuff. Even if you dont buy anything, worth a visit, its like a museum!
