Ordered three breakfasts and one lunch sandwich. The breakfast had a good flavor however the eggs were a bit confusing I asked for white cooked and yolk runny and what I got was something I’ve never seen before. The main disappointment was the toast it was simply dried out white bread with no toasting done whatsoever, which made it even worse for the $13 sandwich because that bread had to get thrown away, it was simply dried out bread that was nit edible. All in all aside from the bread the food was pretty good, you have to judge for yourself whether it’s worth the high end price tag, that sandwich in the picture was $12 and came with two mouthfuls of fruit.
Breakfast was great. The food was cooked well and tasted wondeful. Lunch was decent. It wasnt anything to write home about, but certainly not fast-food style cooking. Both times I visited however, they left an item I ordered off, or didnt change it as requested, which was a tad disappointing. The small dinning room, friendly laid back vibe and professional attitude, gives you that rustic American feel of small town dinning that you come to know and expect. It makes up for some small mishaps. They make you feel welcome as soon as you walk in the door and treat you almost like youre a regular right from the start.Overall: Its a great place to eat for breakfast, or a nice place to come on a lunch break. Give it a try and youll see what I mean.
Nice and cozy. Service was great. Highly recommended.
Nice clean, bright atmosphere though a little cool so bring a sweater. Great friendly service. Coffee hot and good and plenty of it. I had the the BLT Eggs Benedict-English muffin, arugula, slices of tomato and avocado, strips of bacon, eggs and hollandaise sauce with paprika sprinkled on top and a side of hash browns. The overall flavor of the combination was delicious. The overall appearance was good except maybe a little heavy handed with the hollandaise sauce. The hollandaise sauce had cooled down by the time it was served to me (did I mention the restaurant was very cool?) and was good but not the best I have ever had. I would suggest breaking the bacon up into bits instead of strips because the entire esthetics of the meal are destroyed trying to saw through the bacon strips then the English muffin. I dont think a steak knife would have done much better on the bacon but may have worked on the English muffin. The hash browns were crispy but plain. My wife had the Breakfast Quesadillas with sautéed peppers and onions, bacon, scrambled eggs and shredded cheddar wrapped in a grilled tortilla and served with fresh salsa and sour cream. She ordered the home fries which were very hot and crispy though again kind of plain tasting. She said her meal was delicious, fresh tasting and filling (had a to go box with another meal). Again the portions were quite filling and we thought reasonably priced. I would recommend.
Meal and service consistently good.best breakfast in Tallahassee
The best place for breakfast! So many options including gluten free pancakes and bread! All around a great experience.
Canopy Road Cafe is my family’s go to breakfast restaurant. We often use their online ordering system and pick up our food to go since we live nearby. Their ordering system is convenient and easy to use with substitution options clearly marked and priced. We have a pretty big order and they have never messed anything up or forgotten an item, which is truly impressive. And the food is delicious!
Our server was Sue and she did an outstanding job! The food was awesome and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I give this restaurant my highest recommendation.
I had a very particular diet requirement but little hopes from this place. Marcie jumped into action and created a dish that was perfect and tasted delicious. She absolutely made our entire experience here really great. We live in Dallas but Id be in here all the time if I lived here. Great food and great service.
Had an amazing experience here. The waiting staff were very friendly. All the food was phenomenal. I had the country fried steak with over easy eggs and cheese grits. I loved the steak. It was nice and cripsy breaded and the gravy was extremly flavorful sausage gravy. The eggs were cooked perfectly. I was not a huge fan of the grits because they were served unseasoned (most likely for a reason), but I am a firm beliver if you dont use salt in the preparation process, it never tastes the same no matter how much salt you add after the fact. Otherwise a great meal with no complaints. I tried a single signature pancake on the side as well, the Sweet Potato Pancake. It was a phenomenal combination of flavors with the faint sweet potato flavor of the pancake mixed with crunch, nuttiness of praline, sweetness of the brown sugar, and the freshness of the whipped cream all coming together harmoniously. Be advised though, it is very rich and quite sweet, so bring a friend to polish that puppy off. We also ordered the Dakota, which was a wonderfully prepared and seasoned steak and eggs. They do an excellent job making the home fries, which were seasoned perfectly and nice and crispy on the outside, but smooth and soft inside almost like mashed potatoes. And if that wasnt enough, the toast was thick and lightly toasted soft and just overall good bread. We also got a side fruit cup (which the server forgot at first, but was very apologetic and immediately resolved it when asked) and the fruit was nice and fresh. Overall we had an amazing experience and would return any time we are in the area again. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a traditionally good breakfast or a unique twist you wont find anywhere else.
Everything except the biscuits were great. Try new recipe for those.
Bs&Gs are yummy, good grits!!Need to add another larger table, we had to wait 50 minutes.
The staff was friendly and efficient even though they were down a staff member. They even stopped to clean one of the outside tables when we asked to sit outside. The food was delicious and well worth the trip. We will definitely be returning.
I travel for work and eat all over and right review and I have to say the omelette I had at Canopy blew me away. I had their corned beef omelette and oh my gosh! I was like I have not had anything like this before. It was amazing. If you like corned beef you will absolutely love the omelette. They also have pancakes the size of you head and fantastic french toast and breakfast bowls. This is a must go to brunch spot!
Good good. Friendly service
Today was my first visit to this place and excellent little restaurant! I ordered the cinnamon roll and the French toast and both were almost too pretty to eat! Wonderful food and extremely friendly staff. I loved how the restaurant was decorated with gorgeous paintings from local artists. It really added to the comfortable feel and vibe. The music playing in the background was singable 80s music which I liked as well so I found myself humming along to that as I ate. There is a bit of a wait for my meal but the taste of the food is worth it! The temperature inside couldve been adjusted slightly since I was a little cool but thats just a nickpick really. They serve Lucky Goat coffee which you cant go wrong with and offer free refills all day, including a free to go cup for it. I will be back to visit sometime since I enjoyed myself to try even more of their wonderful menu!
I highly recommend Canapy Road Cafe. The food is awesome and our outstanding waitress Paishe made our experience so much fun!!!
Super friendly staff & AWESOME food! Will definitely be back!
Fantastic french toast and omlets. Marcie was excellent and made my birthday breakfast even better. Ask for her when you go. Will be back to try the burgers soon. Hats off to the chef!!
Great service and great food. Thanks 😊
Busy Sunday morning but food is good.
The menu is unique and the servers are nice. I’ve eaten at this location, the location on Apalachee Pkwy and the location in South Wood....a total of about ten times (not that often). I had a hair in my food at the Apalachee location a couple of years ago. I chalked that up to bad luck. However, when my daughter and I ate at the NE location two weeks ago, there was plastic cooked into my food (like a plastic ring used to open a container). I’m grateful it wasn’t in my daughter’s food though because she’s a small child. If two out of ten times there were things in my food that were not supposed to be there, that’s not good. I was thoroughly disgusted both times, especially the second time when I realized that something was wrong when I bit into the plastic. It tells me the cooks don’t take the time to at least ensure cleanliness and safety. (All was well at the South Wood location...no problems to speak of.) I won’t return to any of the locations.
Good dinner style food. Cant go wrong here
Great food, great staff and very clean environment. Would highly recommend this location
Marcy, our waitress, was phenomenal. All of the staff was friendly, and eager to make customers happy. Such a clean restaurant and restrooms!!! The best place. I’m so happy I ate here!!
Great food, great service, great location and great parking. Eggs Benedict dishes are indubitably delicious.
Very good hidden local gem.Excellent coffee (and I dont generally like coffee!)
Canopy Road is probably my very favorite local breakfast restaurant. (Any and all of their locations.) They have the best food, and lots of unique options. Ive also never had bad service there, at any location. My favorite breakfast meal is the special but I like to sub a fancy pancake for the toast. But their blueberry french toast is also delicious as well. Cant go wrong with just about anything on the menu. (Also, bonus points for lots of gluten free options, for my GF sister.)
Great place! Pulled pork sandwich was great.
Good food selections on their menu & fair prices & clean. Took to long to get our food & when we finally got it, we had to request to-go-boxes. Maybe next time well get to eat our food there.

Good food. Fast service.
Great place for breakfast or lunch and reasonably priced. A Tallahassee favorite.
Always solid service and excellent food. We always bring friends and family when they come to town.
This was my first time eating here and DEFINITELY will not be my last!!! The service was great. The portions were great and the food was prepared in a timely manner and correctly!! My new go to spot. My regards to the Chef 😍
Finally got to eat here! I always showed up after the crowds and wait times were super long. This time we were seated immediately and socially distanced. Everything on the menu looked good so when I going the first thing that made we say sounds good I stopped looking. I ordered three buffalo chicken omelette. It rocked. And our food came quickly. We were in and out of there in 30 minutes at the most. Good experience all around.
Food and service is always great! The bathroom NEEDS a changing table. It’s extremely inconvenient for us moms with littles.
Canopy Road Cafe, thank you for having a kind, professional staff. Had an asthma attack from someones perfume. They didnt bat an eye, moved our table outside and provided excellent, attentive service.
Their skillet meals are fantastic! Try the BeeBee. Great coffee and very friendly wait staff.
Loooovvveee me some Canopy!!! Great service, awesome food (with lots of options), and great portions. Winning😺🙏😎 Thank you Canopy crew💛
Great service, delicious food, and wonderful atmosphere! The staff work together seamlessly and know their customers by name. I happened in on a stressful morning, and their cheerful, welcoming approach really made a huge difference in my day. Not to mention the fact that the coffee and breakfast were REALLY tasty and exactly to order! I will definitely be back on my next visit to Tallahassee.
The server Sue was on point. Made sure we were attended to & has an above and beyond attitude. She is a great asset to the restaurant. She makes you want to come back just as much as the food does. The food was excellent as always and there monthly food special fried green tomatoes BLT was to die for. Highly recommend
One of the best breakfast/lunch joints in Tally (and a few locations beyond Tally). Varied and delicious menu, especially the AMAZING pancake list, and unique specials. Wait staff is beyond attentive and even the0 owner Brad is running food, refilling ice teas, etc. Hoping they expand to Bevard County!
Wait was a little long but only because of how busy it was, food was good
First time stopping by. Great energy, great atmosphere. Corah and Kristen were both AMAZING!!!
Had a delicious meal of french toast and home fries.
This place is great the food is a amazing the workers is so nice and friendly I love it 🥰💍🤞
This place usually has a long wait, but it is for a reason! Well worth the wait every time! This is my favorite breakfast spot!
Its a lovely little Delicious Restaurant.
Consistently good food and service!
Exalent Verry Verry good 👍👍👍
Pancake was good. Food was fresh, coffee was strong
Canopy road is a quaint restaurant with a big menu with lots of options. The cinnamon roll is a must! We had the skillet dish, so good! The service was great! Everything is always fresh and delicious. Pancakes, skillets, omelets, fresh fruit, sausage gravy and biscuits and locally brewd Lucky Goat coffee. Get there early before it fills up. If theres a crowd, you can play cornhole while you wait.
Best breakfast and lunch place hands down. The value for your money is on point! The food is always top notch, and we go here all the time. It is always clean and the staff is super friendly. My toddlers LOVE the Mickey Mouse pancakes (they split one order, because it is huge). The sweet potatoe pancakes will never disappoint. The burger is one of the best in town, thick, juicy and under $10! I could go on and on about all the great dishes.
First time eating here. Reilley put customer service back in customer service.
Love this place and the food is good. I think the pancakes are pretty pricey but other than that no complaints.
Always good food and friendly service.
One of the best local breakfast and lunch places in town. Closes at 2pm though.
Always great, always fresh and always done right.
Waited for 20 minutes, totally ok. My first and last visit. Ordered a pancake as a starter, it was completely wrong. Got our food. My meal was a skillet (sizzle sizzle) meal that was absolutely cold. Politely informed the waitress that the hash browns were wrong and the food was cold. Not even 2 minutes later, out comes my food. Looking like It had changed form but on top of the right hash browns this time. (There was a strong feeling it was microwaved) as the eggs were then mixed up and on the bottom of the steak. You could bounce the biscuit that it came with. It was a sloppy mess. But the flavor was there. Just not what I was expecting from all the reviews I normally see. Oh, and they were out of the only good pancake mix... sweet potato! It’s fall! That’s the only pancake mix that’s logical this time of the year. Lol.Definitely gonna stick with home breakfast, as my wife makes them amazing. Just wanted to give her a break.
Great food and amazing service
Excellent food and service!!
Staff wasnt great. Waitress didnt seem interested in us and what we needed. Food was pretty bad considering the price. Wont be going back for sure.
I will never not love CRC, quality is consistent and delicious.
We are regulars here. Great people. Great service. Great food. Great prices. You get to know each other, and it is very welcoming.
Foods always been phenomenal. Feel like theyve upped their customer service game due to COVID19. Kudos, Canopy Road ❤
My boyfriend and I are traveling. We came here with the intention of filling up on some awesome food.First the service was great. On point considering they were so busy. Coffee is good and strong. But if you get a togo cup know it will be in styrofoam ( I find it important knowing that hot food/liquids will melt the styrofoam into your food/drinks.)I got the Goat in the Garden omelet with home fries and my boyfriend made his own, chorizo, mushrooms, black olives and prov. White bread with hashbrowns.First off, omelets are huge for me. I love a good one but sadly this fell more then short. Flat thin crepe like eggs that are filled are what we got. Not the big fluffy omelets that are contained with wonders that youd expect. We also shared an order of biscuits and gravy. Needless to say neither of us finished them. Too much flour in the gravy.
The food was delicious and came fast. The waitress was attentive. Everything was clean and tables were distanced appropriately.
Great food and customer service
Good food - good serviceLove the Lucky Goat Coffee
Phenomenonal food and service! I could taste the quality and freshness of every ingredient. The staff made me feel right at home. Definitely will be back and I highly recommend the speciality banana bread pancake! Shout out to Mackenzie and Sue for their kindness and great menu advice😊
Our experience was very nice, The restaurant was clean and the service was good. The restaurant itself was a bit tight with seating but not enough to stop me from going again.
Amazing food, great service!
Great service! Great food!
They have the most excellent sweet potato pancakes. Best Ive ever had
Friendly staff, long wait, delicious food
Love The Food Very,Very Plentyful
Good homemade pancakes n french toast. Quick service as well.
Theres not much here that isnt good; but youve got to try their sweet potato pancakes, or their chicken and waffles. So good!! They have an amazing cobb salad, as well.
The food there was really awesome and fresh and hot. But dont order ice water because its tap water. Thought it was a little pricey though.
Great service and great food!
Waitress are super accommodating.Food is tops.
They nail it across the board. Good, service, atmosphere, friendliness, the whole shebang.Sue, if you see this, I remembered your name! (And April and Patricia!!!)
As always. Great. Just have to wear a mask now before you enter. Other then that everything is the same. Great place to eat, great ppl and customer service
Amazing food. Quickly becoming one of my favorite lunch spots.
I love coming to the location on Capital Circle NE. Great atmosphere. Servers are always nice. Sue, one of the workers, is always personable with the customers. Food is great! If you have a problem with your food, they are more than happy to correct it.
