We stopped in here looking for something else. Don’t let the outside fool you. The food was great and the service was exceptional. I had the breakfast and it was great. My husband had the Greek combination. He was impressed but mainly with the Spinach one. My daughters vegetable omelette was to die for. We will definitely be back!!!!
Excellent breakfast, super homemade pancakes - rcommend their walnut/blueberry three stack. Service was very good, store was much cleaner than the pancake restaurant just down the road. I encourage others to try this place and support Tallahassee family-owned businesses.
Just had the Liver & Onions special with some crunchy french fries and slaw on the side! These guys rock! Very good food every time. They are also really nice to everyone. Plenty parking and they are open for pick ups or dine in.

Classic diner. I think family run. Greek influence. We went for breakfast. The omelet was well cooked amd seasoned. Really good hash browns (cooked with onions). Very friendly staff.
My family and I came to eat at Papas diner, the service was great. They were friendly, accommodating and went above and beyond to cater to my GF allergy food. Our server was so patient and loving to our crying 2 year old. The food was on point, flavor was great. I recommend this place. I will be returning here.

The food was great and there was a nice atmosphere. The food was hot upon arrival to our table. The server was attentive and didnt let our glasses go empty. Everyone was kind. They henge a great variety on the menu. I will definitely be returning to try other dishes.
Food was ok it didnt catch my attention like how looking up to see our server and some dude out the back staring at us eat. Now Im not the one to play the race card but I really think it was because we were black. They werent disrespectful just found it a bit rude. They were very attentive to us but I wont be going back.
Used to love coming here. Cheap, good food. However, most recent visit the restaurant was not following Leon County mask mandate. None of the employees wore masks or disinfected the tables properly between uses. Wont be coming here again.
They do not comply with the local mask order; they say its their choice, but in fact they just choose to disobey the law abusing the fact that it cant be enforced.With such an attitude, we cant be sure that they will follow other simple rules; for example, they can easily serve us spoiled food instead of throwing it away.

Great food, large portions, friendly staff. You can get breakfast all day, but I get their liver and onions everytime!! Its just one of their daily specials that includes mash potatoes, gravy and choice of veggie. I get the glazed carrots. And if youre in the mood for dessert they have great rice pudding. I havent tried the baklava yet but it looks amazing. Highly recommend

Nice server but awful food. Eggs were very runny, bagel was freezer burned. Came with a group of 10 and learned that the cook “rushed the food” for us as an excuse for all of our food being undercooked.
My first experience here was the day after they opened which turned out to be not so good to me and experience. But my more recent visits were very nice food was hot and exactly what I expected service is good and waitress was friendly. They have improved a great deal since the first days so if you came in the first week give him a second try.
Traditional diner fare with traditional Greek options as well. The service is good and the staff is friendly. It always makes me feel at home and cozy.
I ordered the Greek Chicken, which was described as “Oregano and lemon garlic sauce served over pasta” for $10.95. The picture looks nothing like the actual dish. The dish was overcooked spaghetti noodles with lemon garlic sauce and chicken tenders in sauce. Waste of money. No face masks. Will never support again.

Who can resist an old fashioned diner with first-rate food run by a charming Greek family. They get to know you and feel more like friends than service workers. Its the only place Ive ever had my own table. 😊
I love diners and dont go to them expecting anything fancy. Ive given this place a few tryouts now. It always seems to just fall short of good. Bland food, over priced considering the quality and presentation and the hostess is always grumpy. The best thing about the place is the servers. They do a pretty good job and have a friendly demeanor
The closest thing to a classic diner in Tallahassee, Pappas offers a full range of breakfast served all day, sandwiches and dinners plus a selection of Greek specialities. Excellent service from a friendly staff. The booths lining the front window are nice. The menu has a few options for vegetarians. Best patty melt in town.
Delicious food and AMAZING customer service! We got eggs Benedict and beef rueben. Our waitress was so pleasant and attentive. The owners were extremely inviting and courteous as well. We were sad when we moved here from PA and couldn’t find a good local diner but we’ve finally found one! We will definitely be back.
Best Mom and Pop Restaurant hands down. I couldnt eat all my roast beef melt it was so big. My husband had a corn beef omelet and it was so large it was coming off the plate. And Yes, it was delicious. The Baklava is absolutely amazing!!!!!
We just really love and enjoy Pappas Diner. Every time we go in we are always greeted with a smile. Weve been there so many times now that they know who we are and there is always a big group of us from church on Sundays. And that never slows them down we always get our food in a timely manner and its always correct as to what weve ordered. So a big Thank You for Pappas Diner we love to eat there.

My family of 6 finally found the diner we had been looking for in Tallahassee. This place is a local family owned business with the most friendly atmosphere. The food tastes like home-cooking. The prices were reasonable and the portion size was amazing. You can not go wrong dining at Pappas!!!

I absolutely adore this place. They have a typical diner menu with a little bit of everything and something for everyone. I have eaten here at least 6 times in the past few months and have never had a bad meal or a bad experience. They are wonderfully friendly and attentive, and the food is delicious...those carrots! 😍 honestly, give them a try and support a local business!
I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while, today was the day. I stopped in for breakfast at 2:30pm this afternoon and LOVED it! I’m absolutely amazed how fast the food came out, I asked the waitress if the cook was listening in when I ordered. Finally!!! Someone who knows how to scramble an egg, not poured out on the grill like an omelet then chopped up. The menu options are endless, I’m considering going back for dinner tonight. The prices are more than reasonable. I will add this place to my regular weekly restaurants. Great job, hats off to the cook, Thank you to the great staff. I’ll be back.
Its not often you find a restaurant with good, fast, AND cheap food. Pappas deliver an authentic highway diner experience at a low price and quick service. To give you an idea of how fast the service is, when I arrived I placed my order then went to the bathroom to wash my hands. By the time I returned, my food was already sitting at my table for me. The staff is wonderful, friendly, and always willing to help. If youre hungry and on the move, you cant go wrong with Pappas.
My son and I had passed this diner a couple of times and talked about trying it out. Early afternoon today we wanted a casual place to eat. Googled Pappas Diner for times and menu and we were VERY pleasantly surprised to find we could get breakfast, lunch or dinner at whatever time we went. I ordered the liver and onions - with trepidation - as it could be very good or very bad when tried in an unknown place. It was very good. My sons order included french fries that were excellent. The food was plentiful and the price was appropriate. The waitress (Kim) was pleasant and a joy to talk with. My son couldnt resist bringing home one of their homemade choco chip cookies that was as big as his head! We will be going back often.

First time at this location under this name and management. We enjoyed meeting friends for mid day meal. Good menu of home cooked like items that make us plan to go back for other choices. Items we tried were very tasty, with generous portions. Busy location for new owners, seems to be very popular.

Fantastic place. Great service. The Greek food cant be beat. Absolutely get yourself a bowl (not just a cup) of the lemon orzo soup. Its great for what ails you.

Love this family owned and operated diner. They have great sandwiches and the dinner specials are wonderful. They even have Greek food too! Its one of my new favorite places for all day breakfast, a great lunch and a filling dinner. My favorite is that Rachael... Pastrami on rye with homemade sauerkraut. Yuuum!

I have been to this diner three other times for breakfast and was totally satisfied. We went for dinner specifically for the liver and onions. It was ok. Not terrible, but there were a couple of fixable issues. The rolls were heated in the microwave to the point of being g a bit chewy. The beans were unseasoned, but the gravy was very tasty. The liver tasted like, well, liver. It would have been lost without that gravy. I think breakfast and lunch are what I will keep me going back.

Dont go for the Gyros!For a place that leans toward Greek... its not that good.The breakfast looked pretty good and LOTS of folks were eating it for the noon meal.The owners were friendly enough, but some of the help allowed wrapped silverware to hit the floor and then place it immediately in service. Ewww!

Nice little casual restaurant! Has breakfast all day, and on the back page menu has the Greek specialties. Not too expensive, and the kids eat free on Wednesdays. Food is good.
The Breakfast food here was soooooo great, this was the first of a future many visits. Pappas Diner has a great variety of foods to choose from, and I cant wait to try them.

Great service and food! If you are a fan of gyros, you must try the Gyro Omelet. The entree comes with your choice of grits, potatoes (my choice --delicious), or oatmeal; as well as your choice between toast or a bagel. They also have a variety of bagels that are shipped daily from New York.

We have been to Pappas Diner a few times now, and it has been wonderful each time. The food is delicious and always tastes fresh, the staff and owners are super friendly and they always make us feel welcome! They also have these GIANT COOKIES that are wo so yummy, as well as baklava and other tasty treats for dessert.
