Great store with a great selection of musical instruments. I have been here a few times and have always liked the ambience and the selection of instruments. Their guitar selection is impressive, with all name brands like Taylor, Martin, Yamaha and others. They have used instruments on sale too, often on discounted prices. I guess they have to face a really stiff competition from online sellers, where you will often find sales and cheaper prices but I believe the experience of actually holding the instruments and trying out a few before making that decision to buy one is second to none.

This place used to be awesome! Employees were super friendly and relatable. I understand there’s a pandemic going on but recently it seems like no one knows what they’re doing in regards to customer service. I sold some items here and was just met with long waiting periods, excuses, and straight up inconsistent statements about What I was getting back in payment. Some guys there are super nice still, but I wish they had more training in what they were selling. I just hope that the store get some more training on customer service.

Spencer was the best. He was so professional, patient, and super knowledgeable He was such a great advocate for the company that he almost talked me into the warranty on my Snark Tuner, but since it run through them fairly regularly I typically charge the replacement cost to the game. ❤️ They still have a decent collection of acoustic guitars and the like physically in the store, which was cool to see. I also overheard a staff member signing someone up for lessons. I asked a staff member and he let me know that they are still doing real live music lessons here...amazing! If you’re looking for a place to take music lessons, of any variety, this would be a great place to check out! Everyone here is a music enthusiast. The staff is friendly and everyone working today was eager to help out. They have plenty of electric guitars in stock, sound equipment, drum equipment, etc. I was stoked to see they have copious amounts of specialty guitar strings available here too! There are so many great products so you are bound to find something special, and if it’s not in stock Spencer will special order it for you! They have taken multiple precautions to keep things clean and organized so no worries there. Get out of the house and go visit! Thanks! I’ll be back soon!

I was confused that I had to wear a mask since I’m fully vaccinated and the Florida Governor lifted the mask mandate, but the employees explained it was Corporate policy and kindly gave me a mask to wear while in the store. I questioned why there wasn’t much in the store and they explained that the pandemic has impacted their supply leaving the store a little under-stocked. Eric was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. I appreciated the honestly of the staff here.

Not a lot of music shops in Tallahassee but this place holds up. Everyone there is super nice and love giving advice!!

The stock is a little low but you can find most anything music related here. Pretty good selection but they can order just about anything

Imagine going into a store where the shelves and the walls are almost empty of product. If you dont know what that looks like, go to this store. I walked in saying I was there to buy headphones and an acoustic guitar. A guy took me to the headphones and couldnt find what I was looking for. He said he could order stuff, but then just walked away. I made my way alone to the acoustic guitar room. They had maybe 12 guitars, of which half were used. No one came in to help. I just left without comment, and Im quite sure I will never be back. Not much reason to come back... no products, no help.

I debated between 3 and 4 stars. The staff is very friendly however I felt like I had to talk them into upselling me items for a new guitar.The store could use some help from a clutter and display standpoint. It looks more like they are having a Going Out of Business Sale than an actual fully functional business. I would definitely shop here again but they should make the place a little more presentable.

The manager came over and whispered in the employees ear to give me the lowest amount for my guitar when it was clearly in perfect condition. The management seems so shady compared to the workers who all seem to genuinely love music. Just a bummer they push line 6 and black star amps so much

Just called to see if Guitar Center was allowing Americans to be free enough to choose. Evidently, they know whats best for us. 😷Too bad. I was raised in the land of the free and the brave.....and I wont live any other way.

Unfortunately they are the only music store who does not make deals in their merchandise. I went to musiciansfriend.com and got a way better deal online. I called the local store and the manager said he would take off $50 off a guitar that had a scratch on it. So no discount just the $50 for the scratch. I also explained I was interested in purchasing a whole drum kit as well and even with that still no discount. Musiciansfriend online chat and got $700+ off and a warranty and picks and cables. Wow. I just had purchased a guitar and a ukulele from there and now wish I hadnt. :( They will most likely be out of business soon. :(. Staff is very friendly though

I went into the store and they watch me like i was gone steal. i came in for a cable and extension. the guy i asked knew nothing i had to ask this guy that was being mad pushy and acted like i was a problem. all the staff left the floor when i was in the store. i guess to go watch the camera. i will never be going back into that store again. i guess only white people can do music when hip hop is the biggest genre to date. that was a wack move on their part. if ever have come in again im going to give them the same treatment and be mad rude. its 2021 stop trying to judge people you did that mess to a to a combat veteran and if i was nasty i really could make it more than what it was.

Oh. My. Gosh! Jeremiah, Craig, Jacob, Colton and “Dangerous Dave” were SO helpful today! They helped me and my husband get a bass and a drum set. We had lots of questions but they were happy to assist us and had great, upbeat energy! So grateful! We are customers for life!

The Manager and Staff were very knowledgeable. Great prices and cleaned every instrument before and after I touched them. Masks must be worn before entering the store to me thats a Bonus.

Super friendly staff and very helpful. David and Jeremiah where super helpful and worked very hard to make sure everything was great. I cant remember the guys name who did the string change but he did awesome and he did it very fast. Definitely comming back to this one.

These guys stole me from a local store because of how they treated me. Jeremiah, the store manager is the BEST. Ive been in sales/customer service related positions for 20 years and he knows how its done. Long story made short, before I bought a guitar from him, he wanted to make certain it was the right decision given some issues going on at home. The fact that he would have walked away from a sale if I told him it would worsen the problem may piss corporate off, but it got you a customer. I bought the guitar, an amp, pedal, and some misc. stuff since. Jeremiah and the rest of the staff are awesome. Im really looking forward to my lessons with Justin, first one was great!

A good hands on way to find the instrument just right for you. Very helpful but not intrusive salesman. I was able to spend as much time as I needed to explore my options by selecting an instrument and playing it without interface. After several hours I found what I wanted and was able to walk out with it and paid a price that was fair.

This place is great. I came in to make a return on something I had bought that I didnt like and the person at the front was wonderful, helping me out with everything I needed. When I told her I wanted to look around for another amp she walked over and guided me through the available amps to see which one would be best for me, and when I found the one I liked and it was out of stock she ordered it for me and had it sent to my house. I got amazing service here and everyone knows what theyre doing, theyre here to help out and get you what you need in your time.

Friendly staff but they need a little more training in the store systems. Prices are actually close to Amazon for the items I was buying.

To the guitar center rep that replied to my last review, the location has since corrected all of my worries and the entire staff was more than happy to help, including the repair technician. Im very pleased with everyones cooperation and Id especially like to thank Craig for being the one who answered all of my phone calls and questions. It turns out the guitar had a host of electrical problems that were later brought to a head after I made my last review. This is quite possibly why my tuner showed off intonation as well. This location continues to be exceptional.

I like going in to see what they have. Every now and then something that hits you and you need it. The staff is really friendly and they seem knowledgeable. I always have off the wall questions and its usually answered to my liking.

Great staff! Ryan was especially helpful recently when I came in with a list from my Pastor. He was focused and understood that I wanted to get in and out as soon as possible. He kept my items organized and even maintained our snare in a quick and efficient way! On top of that he carried my items to my car with care. Thanks!

Customer service is absolutely terrible. I have attempted to spend well over 2,000 with them and every single time I tried to place an order or I did, they were absolutely horrible.

Not much to look ator check out. And thats my favorite thing about the in person visiting. However staff was very knowledgeable and friendly!

Ben was awesome helping me out with my AMP. Diagnosed what was wrong with it for a good 30 mins free of charge and told me what I needed to do to fix it and the cost. Customer service manager was also very helpful!

Purchase an Acoustic model a20. I used it on a gig and it was very good. Service at the store was excellent selection was very good. Normally when I go in at Guitar Center and bring my guitar they asked me to register it however this store did not request that. I guess I looked very honest

Fantastic inventory. If you want it, they have it or can get it, new or used. And they have great service. They replaced a string on a bass we bought the day before, no questions asked, when it buzzed.

I bought a used bass for my son online, and someone else bought it in-store before the system had a chance to update. Obviously not their fault, but the woman who was leaving the store with it when I got there to pick it up had FIT. Even though I had paid for it first, she refused to let us have it.Our sales rep and the manager went above and beyond! We ended up leaving with a new Fender Precision limited edition, hard case, and leather strap for the same price as the used bass. They could have very easily said sorry and just refunded my money, but they were determined to make sure he came home with a great bass and a big smile.So thank you Dylan! You make us into life-long customers.

This was my 65th Guitar Center to visit. A nice selection of new and used guitars, basses and equipment. Located in a new plaza and entertainment district that is going to be real nice

Guitar center has been great to us, we bought our first guitar there and my son takes lessons with Logan and he is hands down the absolute best, I cant say enough about how awesome he is with the kids, highly recommended

Ive had problems with this guitar center twice.The first time was when they shipped me a pedal, and put the incorrect address on it making it to where UPS was not able to deliver it, then when I called and got a manager they promptly shrugged their shoulders about it, I then had to drive all the way up to the UPS facility an hour away to pick it up.Just a week ago I randomly got a bass from this store that I never ordered that had my name and address on it, when I decided to call them about it stating this I was threatened with legal charges, telling me I was technically stealing it because I let them know that it was in my possession even though they were the ones who shipped it to me in the first place.Ive gotten it back to them, but I refuse to buy anything that comes from this store ever again, ya know unless they randomly decide to send me something I didnt order again and then accuse me of stealing it from them.

I believe reviews should expire after a certain amount of time because you just cant respect the opinion of someone who visited a place 3+ years ago.. This guitar center is a great place with friendly helpful staff. Pretty much exactly what you would hope for. If you have an issue with someone not being as knowledgeable as youd expect about whatever it is youre looking for then maybe you should have done some research on your own ahead of time. Its not that hard.

The staff are super nice, and will do just about anything to help you. Their guitars are great and have pretty cheap prices when you look at other stores. I love this place. Its also pretty much my second home.

Rude staff. Bad attitudes. Ignored multiple customers. Manager on duty when he came out of the back walked around like he had no clue. General manager is out of town and it is obvious when the boss is gone his store goes to hell! Only 1 employee in the store acted like she cared and she was running her butt off. Will definitely be talking with the general manager when he returns.

Not many new amps and audio equipment is low as far as computer software and hardware for home recordings. Seems like a low volume store. Employees are nice.

I mostly shop here for PA/DJ equipment and their selection and pricing is very good. I once bought something that went on sale a week later and they gave me the difference back in cash.

Guys werent very helpful...we were the only ones in the store with 4 workers. we had to ASK for assistance. the one guy seemed surprised we asked. SMH THE NEED TO DO BETTER.

I drove all the way out here to support a local business. When I got to the store, they told me I couldnt come inside because I wasnt wearing a mask. So much for customer service. I guess Ill just buy my gear on amazon.

Customer service was not very good during my visit. All I wanted was to pay for guitar strings and I had to spend 15 minutes looking for someone to help me. The store is very small so the dont expect a large inventory. Store was disorganized. Ive visited Guitar Centers in Gainesville and Tampa and those stores are much better. In Tallahassee it might be best to skip this store and order online.

My husband would live here if we didnt have somewhere else to be!!! This is his go-to for music must- haves. He actually refuses to even call another place and if GC doesnt have the product he is seeking they offer to make it happen by collecting helpful information. This is always important especially when there is a show only hours away.

I have been going to Guitar Center here in Tallahassee for years. I have purchased thousands of dollars worth of gear from them. However, today I was not treated well by the staff. I just started buying guitar pedals recently and I bought the TC Electronic Prophet Digital delay. It has been 2 months since I bought it and I wanted to see about returning it. The young lady that helped me was great and I have no complaints about her, but there was another guy with glasses and dark hair was being rude and sarcastic about how long I had the pedal. I knew it was past the 45 day return period. The manager was even rude to the young lady that helping me. There is no reason to be rude to your customers and I think it will be a while before I darken the doors of Guitar Center again.

My son order a used guitar online. He got it and it had an issue. I called the 800 number and the rep said take it back to the local store. We took it back and we’re helped by Ryan who eventually got the manager Daz involved due to the issue. Both gave us multiple options on choices of what we could do to rectify the situation. Both Ryan and Daz were awesome! Will definitely be back due to these guys!!!!

Staff is friendly and does not pressure for sales. Selection, especially basses, is lacking. Plenty of entry level instruments here, not many high end to try out. Pretty good selection of used equipment.
