My parents recently had an in town move and used AMWAT. They were very pleased with the professionalism and service they received. The guys were on time, quick, efficient, took great care of the space and furniture, and very courteous. Usually, my mom is a tough person to satisfy, and even she was impressed. They also thought the estimate was very reasonable.

This happened a few years ago. Their price could be potentially much higher. I already mentioned to them about my tight budget, but their quote ignored my message completely and generated a price way beyond my limit.Later I found that a common freight service offered 1/3 of their price. (Note: I first quoted with AMWAT because I was told by our staff that the regular freight cost could be astronomical, which turned out to be false later.) Despite of lower cost, the delivery is very smooth and the recipient company received the entire big package well.I also read other reviews and found many good comments about them. My comments cannot be comprehensive. Probably, they could be good in some aspects such as flexibility in accommodating customers requests. But I still suggest quote around to compare thoroughly before making a final decision. Sometimes, regular freight service with lower cost is not that bad as many of us thought. I agree this is case-to-case dependent. So, I only share my story. FYI...

Stop making your friends help you move. They hate that. AMWAT was my first professional move, and I hope I never have to move without them again. Also, it was FAR LESS EXPENSIVE than I thought it would be... YMMV.Yes, the owners and I share a last name, and could possibly be some DISTANT relatives. While Im sure thats not the cause of the great service (though, with a name like Pugh - youve got to be good), I cant say enough good things about these folks.Dean is very energetic, and somehow seems passionate about moving (which sounds weird, I know, but it doesnt come off as strange). He, and the team he sent (Marquis, Travis, and Clay), were true professionals. Prompt, courteous, hard working, full time employees who really seem to care about doing a good job.Seriously, keep your friends friendly. Hire AMWAT.

AMWAT helped my family with a residential move. The crew of Norris, Maurice, and Mikel were fantastic! They were so easy going, not fazed by the amount of stuff we had or the pieces that they just wrapped and moved. They were funny, good-natured and very hard working.AMWAT generously supports Childrens Home Society of Florida (and other non-profits). Because of their logistical support of the annual back to school drive and a new storage arrangement, CHS can save our valuable financial resources to help local kids and keep our administrative expenses down. I have never used professional movers before, and now I will never move without AMWAT again! I can say, without a doubt, that their company, their team, and the way they do business is far superior. The other local moving company happened to be the one who moved the family out of the house we had purchased. It was this experience, when I dropped by to check on our newly purchased home during the move, that demonstrated the night and day difference between moving companies. AMWAT is highly professional, very organized, has an amazing buttoned-up process, and does not hire hourly employees rather has full time paid employees. The differences could not have been more clear.When I arrived to see the other moving company at work, I was shocked to see the new house had mud all over the floors (because they used NO FLOOR PROTECTION) on the gorgeous wood flooring. They had driven their very heavy moving truck around the house and tore up the gorgeous back yard due to a rainy day. Instead of work a bit harder to get some items out the front door, they opted for driving around back and tearing up the yard with no apologies or attempt to fix the 8 inch ruts and torn up grass.That is not how AMWAT rolls. A week before our move, Dean (one of the owners) came to our home to do a detailed inventory to make sure they had everything they needed on the day-of the move, from the right size trucks to the correct number of staff. He explained how they wrap every item of furniture professionally and are fully trained to pack everything safely and provide services such as disassembling and reassembling beds. They will place things in the new house and move them until I am satisfied. Their blue bins that roll were a God-send as we packed and made everything so much easier. The wardrobe boxes were mini closets and made packing up the closet a breeze. I was shocked.Before they moved in the first thing, the AMWAT team laid down floor protection throughout our new home, after a maid spent half a day cleaning the mud and debris off the floors that the other movers left.Their team was quick, VERY patient, and took amazing care of our new home as if it was their own. From not bumping a wall or corner, to staying on the floor protection, they made our move a very pleasant experience. This I thought was not possible. And, if our experience couldnt get any better, they said early on that they would likely come in under the quote, which they absolutely did. Had I rented a U-Haul truck, bought food and beer for my friends, I would not have saved much and the outcome with AMWAT was far better.I am thrilled that AMWAT is in Tallahassee as they are an asset to our community. From an exceptional business model to well trained employees who implement their process with perfection, I am another grateful customer who will recommend no other movers. AMWAT is the professional team who actually cares.

AMWAT movers were used for my transition from Gainesville to Tallahassee. The team from the desk to the moving guys were great with communication. The service we opted for was to have us packed and moved, storage for 2 weeks, then delivery of our boxes to their respective rooms. The showed up on time, called us to give us fair warning of their arrival. They were very efficient, for the packing, they sent 3 guys. They have the boxes with them for us to pack too. Maurice was the team leader. He has been with company for several years which for me seems to mean that the company treats their employees well and that reflects the kind of attitude someone has when they take care of your personal items. It took 1.25 days for them to wrap and pack up everything. For the drop off they came back and finished in a few hours. We had most of the same guys so it was nice to see familiar faces. They forgot our ladder and they came back to give it to us and picked up all the boxes we had unpacked, this was at our request to come back in a few days. Norris and Daniel came by and one guy had been there for over a decade, again a good sign that the company takes care of their employees. They all had great attitudes. NOTHING BROKE and I WOULD USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN AND YOU SHOULD TO.

AMWAT is the most professional, and best moving company in Tallahassee. I have used them for multiple residential moves and recently completed 2 office moves. They are prompt, safe, and easy to work with. Great people, top to bottom!

All I can say is I LOVE AMWAT Moving Warehousing and Storage!! I used them for a few moves that we did while our house was being built. The Owners Dean and Gloria were awesome to work with, they gave us a great quote and their movers were professional, timely and all the moves were effortless! Very easy to work with. I used AMWAT for storage as they have vaults in a climate controlled warehouse which is what I needed for my storage needs. Prices are very good and the vaults are clean. I would recommend AMWAT for any of your moving and storage needs.

The prompt, courteous, professional service provided by AMWAT made this move the best Ive ever experienced. The movers did not have to be told anything twice, they moved quickly through my apartment and prepared the furniture for moving after hauling all the boxes out. I couldnt have done a better job myself. I was very impressed with everyone I dealt with at AMWAT! I was pleased with the price and glad I was provided with a worst case estimate for planning purposes. If I ever move again, these are the people I will call!

I dont know how the other reviewers were able to afford AMWAT. When I received the estimate, I didnt know whether to laugh or be insulted that they thought I was that stupid. The gentleman came to my house, and saw my neighborhood, and the value of my stuff, so he should have known I could not afford the outrageous amount he sent in the estimate. For that kind of money, I could just leave my old things behind and buy brand new things for the house Im moving to! They might be good movers, I dont know, but I dont have enough funds to find out. Your mileage may vary, however.

Believe the negative reviews! Note, every one of them, this company denies even DEALING with the person. No, they did not move our belongings, because they overbooked themselves, (just like United!) and like the other people complaining here, refused to honor their word to move us on a particular date. Please use any other company than Amwat. The owners categorically deny even making a good ole mistake like anyone else and will blame the homeowner no matter what. As you can see! Youve been warned good and proper. Run run run from Amwat. I fully expect a reply of We didnt talk to you, or your wife, we have no record of talking with you. The owners are not honorable people and do not care about their customers.

Although they helped move our things across the country, they stiffed us big time on things they promised they would do regarding our move and some of our things went missing and some valuable things broke.I guess there are no good movers out there.

My daughters grandmother needed a mover, and I had heard really great things about AMWAT, so I suggested she call them. Not only were they friendly and efficient, but they got the move done in less time than they had quoted her. Horrible experience. Will never use this service again and 100% advise my friends and family not to. The operators are downright irresponsible business people and refuse accept ownership of their mistakes. I was by myself and needed help and they really screwed me by not honoring the date and time we had originally agreed on. I ended up having to pay to extend my lease because they couldnt make it on time. NEVER AGAIN!

AMWAT is a great moving and storage company - due to the fact that really good people who own and operate this company.The movers have gently moved 800 lbs computerize vending system,,, not an easy task but they were helpful and even moved items to accomodate entry of the large vending machine - the team worked well together each time. The movers where understanding in delays caused due to unexpected location issues and worked with our site concerns as they occured. Overall from front office to the movers themselves.... great folks who do a great job!!! If you want it done right call AMWAT.
