The worst experience of my life. Rude and nasty, condescending business owner that thinks nothing of speaking to his customers with anger and frustration in his voice. Painted my car the wrong color twice and refuses to acknowledge that the paint is the wrong color. I have pictures to demonstrate the incorrect paint job. After four months you would think they would’ve gotten it correct. All I receive is lipservice argument and hostility from the owner David. Avoid taking your car to this repair shop at all costs. Was recommended by Reeves BMW So I thought I was going to a quality body shop. My insurance company has been going back-and-forth with them for several months and also indicated to me that they don’t listen and do whatever they want to. I’m so disgusted, the vehicle that cost me a fortune is now worth nothing and looks terrible, now I’ll have to pay out-of-pocket to have the car painted the right color just trade it in.Honestly .. delay my fault … car to you Perez 6/1 … not delivered to Reeves for tires and engine assessment until 8/23, body work unfinished .. back to Perez and on 9/18 called to picture up … paint incorrect, lifted truck, water in truck … owner argued claiming I always had water in truck .. not so … and print was and still wrong color … I now have three independent assessments of the color and all state paint used to repair color is darker more metallic.. must have used different paint manufacturer. Also pointed out during the assess.. BMW emblem placed incorrectly in wrong location …So make all the excuses you want … pictures and independent reviews don’t lie .Oh snd the fictional leak … found .., ..
My car was taken here by referral. I will not share my concerns on time frame (took over a month) for my fender bender of a 2018 camaro. Let’s just say if your car is not a BMW, Porsche, or Audi don’t take it here! After receiving a phone call of my car finally being finished repairs my technician stated my CEL was on. After further investigation and diagnostic, it was reported as vandalism per Gene Perez employees. Taking my vehicle for body work and receiving it back with a BLOWN engine (the entire head was ceased). I had a dash cam installed in my vehicle, after pulling the footage of numerous recordings of negligence towards my vehicle and diminishing the value more… I reached out to the shop as an opportunity to make it right. Of course they continued to deny but my VIDEO RECORDING (including time, location, and face recognition) say otherwise. I proceeded to take other actions to have my vehicle fixed properly and with care. Including inside the recordings they were very unprofessional, using fowl language regarding customers, and numerous employees searching in and out of my vehicle. I will NEVER recommend anyone, especially the car community to go here. What I went through was unbelievable and to think they would treat a referral like this… how do they treat their walk ins. Freak accident with hydraulic wedge garage barrier lead me to my favorite mechanic, Jerry, owner of South Fl Auto Repair. He highly recommended Gene Perez. This was backed up a member of my East of the Bay MINI club who had service in his classic car.I am pleased with the result. Service was excellent! Drove me to Enterprise car rental, managed my insurance claim, and returned the rental for me. The Emerald grey paint matches perfectly! Nice job on the rims too. Glad to have “The Cooper” back; ready for the Wiregrass car show! Thank you Mike U. and the Gene Perez crew.

Gene Perez was recommended to me after I had a not so good experience with just sending my vehicle straight to Mercedes. I stopped all work from being done at Mercedes and transferred my vehicle to Gene Perez. I was involved in a motor vehicle accident and had a difficult insurance adjuster to say the least. Mike at Gene Perez was extremely professional, courteous, and very knowledgeable. He went out of his way to make sure everything was done properly. I recommended them to anybody! Top notch!
Not cheap. But simply the best possible body and paint shop in the area.
Honestly not the fastest as far as getting the vehicle work done but all that matters to me is that is is done right and they delivered on that front. Staff in the front office is great as well.
I have used Gene Perez through the years on various vehicles and the usual is poor customer service. My BMW was in a collision and I went to them expecting the same treatment and not meeting dates but good work. Color me surprised. The service was excellent!!!!!! Shawn G. and the receptionist on Hanna were excellent and so very helpful. I was totally impressed with the work and communication from them. My car looks brand new. I would recommend them to anyone. For the amount of time it took, the car should look perfect but unfortunately it does not. The car was obviously put back together in a rush and parts on the bumper and side panel are loose. They were given x amount from my insurance company to “recondition” the wheel and was told for weeks that they were waiting on the wheel but the other cars paint is still there with scrapes and it looks untouched. Very nice people but you could probably find a shop that works a little faster with the same average at best quality of work.

Great repair work on my Porsche Macan. My contact person was Will and he was very friendly and communicative. He explained everything well and kept me updated on parts and work. It was a very good experience and I would recommend them.
I have not been able to get my vehicle back and it has been 11 weeks! I sent an email to the owner David in an attempt to get a professional response and I received nothing, I left him a voice mail and received nothing, I phoned back again and hes not available I am told. Very unprofessional and obviously not efficient. I also reached out to Reeves BMW who referred me to this repair shop to make them aware of the lack of service so that they could reference for future referrals. They have professionally responded to me. I will not be able to write a quality of work review until I am able to have my vehicle returned at which time I will do so that everyone reading this can have the entire story. I would not recommend this repair shop unless you are able to give up your vehicle for 3 or more months. I visited the shop on a couple of occasions as well as a sub that they used for some of the repair to stay on top of things and they simply are not working on the vehicle. When asked about progress they have many excuses and are offended by you for following up with them. I have had numerous customer service issues in my life but this one is certainly the worst I have ever been involved with, while Reeves has been one of the best, quite a contrast considering Reeves made the referral.Good Luck for the unsuspecting customer. I wish I had read the google reviews prior to my decision.
WOW.> What amazing customer service by Michael in the front and Wallace in the back. I had some minor hurricane damage from some sheetrock falling on my car. I thought I had a very expensive repair coming. Michael and Wallace advised that its should be able to be buffed out with some paint less dent repair. They were correct. Nice to find a business these days that you can trust. Thank you to both of these fine gentlemen. Hope I dont need bodywork soon but if I do, I know where to come. Thank you!
Mike Sforza and the crew over at the body shop were extremely friendly and professional. They did a thorough assessment of my vehicle and it took a little over a week for replacement of my driver door along with additional body work to be completed and painted. The car looked better than it did brand new. They made the transition with the rental car company seamless as they maintained contact with the insurance company and the rental company the entire time and kept me up to date. Their service was above and beyond excellent. They will continue to get my business for future needs along with my recommendation to anyone I know.
I will never use these guys again. I got my car back with bald rear tires - they were almost new when I dropped it off - and my trunk leaks which cause my fuel pump module to short out - terrible if I could give them a zero stars I wouldFake review I dont think so your shop was paid over 10k for the job. Also, all the tools were taken out of my tool kit in the trunk.I guess all your bad reviews are fake and thats how you have a 3 star rating. Please put your money where your mouth is and post info for your insurance company, and I will make a claim with them.
It’s been terrible! My MB was rear-ended May 21 and my car is still at the shop... it is now September 13! We have spent close to $2000.00 in rental car fees out-of-pocket. I’m so frustrated, I’m over the edge. The workmanship is good but it’s not worth being without your car for 4 months and thousands of rental car fees!
Worst experience ever. Car had to go back 3 times for what originally was a minor repair! In total it was there a month. Paint buckled and cracked, tail gate didn’t work then the topper...The letters on the tail gate were put on backwards! It read ... ROVER RANGE!! Next time I will use who the insurance company recommends!!!
Mr Perez Sr. Made a big mistake giving this company to his kid. David Perez is slowly destroying their name and reputation. Spoiled brat with no knowledge of anything that has to do with cars. He just collects a big check all for nothing because he is the laziest and thr sorriest owner I have ever seen in my life
Very Professional staff. The workmanship was exceptional and the communication was great. Took a while for the car to be done but I was kept in the loop for the entire process. I live in Massachusetts and was on the way home when we were involved in an accident in Tampa. I got the car back yesterday and it looks and drives great.Hope I dont have to use their services again but if I need body work this would be the place to go.Thanks Mike,Ron
Absolutely outstanding. Superior craftsmen,and office personel were a delight to work with.The repair was completed when estimated and you can not tell that there was damage.Amazing for the damaged car was a new Lexus with 1700 miles on it.BTW the metal work was on aluminum and it is much harder to repair than heavy ole steel. I can not even imagine anyone doing better including the factory. If ever needed I shall return.

This is a great shop to visit if you enjoy having the repair of your vehicle delayed multiple times. Two day repair? No ten is just fine. I dont need to go to work.
I was told to come here by audi. i will never take my car here again!!!!! They had my car for almost a month first time i picked it up there was damage that was not there before the accident & clearly visible and they told me my car was ready. Second time i went back my check engine light was on and was never on before they then cleared it and told me to take it to audi. called the insurance and they told me i do not need to take it there and now there is nothing they can do because they cleared the light. This has been the biggest head ache ever my car is still not fixed properly. in all honesty i would not recommend this shop to anyone!As for the owners response ! I came on here to write a review because that’s what this is for. Actually I asked for a manager and owner to call me a few times and no response back from any one! Maybe your employees are the problem of communication not your customers. Before you come on here and tell me what I should of done ask your employees or maybe tell them what they should have done in this situation. This could have been handled instead each time I was pushed away and told to take my car some where else.

DO NOT Take your vehicle here for repairs. It took them 3 weeks to repair my car, there was greasy finger prints all over my light leather interior, they also got Silver paint on my car, which they denied and refused to remove the paint. I was told that is was house hold water base paint. Ive never seen a house painted the same color as an Silver Audi. I then took my car to two other paint & body shops, and both shops said that it was 100% auto paint that was caused from over spray! This auto body shop came highly recommended. It has to be one of the worst experience Ive had with any business. I wouldnt recommend anyone to take their car here.PLEASE BEWARE

Had a friend of mine who took his car here and I pick it up for him about three months later repairs shouldnt have never taken that long they are extremely slow to be considered the best body shop in Tampa. I also had a friend who worked here (female) who was constantly sexually harassed and ended up leaving working there because of the mistreatment. The shop is highly overrated I would never bring anything here and for what they charge they should get rid of their employees because Ive seen better work at Maaco
They do exceptional work, great people to workwith. Most people that have issues with repairs are upset because they had cheap insurance that did not cover all the repairs required. Most people dont realize that.
Hit a low pole in my parking garage and did considerable damage to the right front of my car. Jeff Beavers got it all taken care of and the car came back to me looking great! Thanks again Jeff!
A harebrained move (that I wish I could do over) led to lift gate damage on my new-ish Telsa. As you can imagine, I was VERY upset. I brought it to 2 places for estimates--$3K. Again, I was not very happy with myself and wished I could turn back time.I ended up finding Gene Perez and saving $1K. The outcome from their repair is beautiful. The staff (specifically Mike S) is very professional. They itemized the labor/parts and outlined the cost; they stuck to their proposed timeline and communicated with me throughout. I highly recommend them.
Receptionist were very rude when i came in, i came into the store needing help and all they did was blow me off like i wasnt there. Dont be fooled by this fake reviews by the employees.
They do a great job and are very easy to work with. The only complaint I have is that you have to call them to get the update on your car and it took a little longer to finish the car however they do great work!
Ive used Gene Perez twice in the last two months, thanks to a couple unfortunate incidents with my 2015 BMW M4. First, someone backed into my rear bumper while parked and just days after getting that repaired, my nephew hit the driver door with his go kart. Both repairs are flawless. Absolutely flawless, and Im extremely picky. Mike Zulich and Mike Sforza are great to work with (as is Mr Perez himself, who called me personally). The technicians are obviously amazing to produce that quality of work and although I never met them Ill thank them here. Finally, when I picked up the car, the bill was less than the estimate by several hundred dollars. I think that just about covers how honest they are.If you need body work done in Tampa, this is where you go. Ill never go anywhere else.
Horrific service. Someone rear ended my car on a Sunday. BMW told me to bring it to Gene Perez the following day (Monday), so I did. GP said it would be done by Friday or latest the following Monday. When I followed up on Thursday they definitely not Friday and to pick it up Monday. Monday came around they said Tuesday. Then on Tuesday at 4:58 p.m. they called and said it was ready. I said I would be there immediately - they said NO, they needed to clean it (obviously it wasnt done). So I said dont clean it, Ive been out of a car for 1.5 weeks. I told them I would be there w/in 20 minutes. They said they were already locking up and to come on Tuesday. I said no way and that I was on my way and my rental car was expiring on Tuesday (same day). The guy Mike Z. literally said, Soo? I cant believe it. My car sat there for a week straight on a 2-day project (My insurance company confirmed they didnt start work on the car until the following Monday - seven days later). Its outrageous how they treat their customers. I wouldnt recommend anyone to go here, if anything, go to Carrollwood Collision - last time I used them they had such speedy and awesome service. GP is AWFUL!!My car sat at in the parking lot for 6 business days before anyone touched it.

Mike Sforza and Gene Perez autobody are incredible! The quality of the repair is factory new. No one can tell my BMW has been in a collision as bolts match and are painted as if they were factory. The wait to get in the shop and time of repair were longer than expected however the exceptional quality of the repair made up for extra time. Mike kept up good communication throughout the process and worked with my insurance company on behind the surface items so I didnt have to. My car was detailed when I received it which was a pleasant surprise. I was referred here by 2 other BMW enthusiasts that had been hit and I an overjoyed they referred me here. I hope I dont have to come back but if I am ever in another accident Ill be back. Thank you Mike and Gene Perez Autobody!

Guy had MAJOR attitude and just wanted to total vehicle (Im sure then buy it back from Insurance co.). The quality isnt worth the attitude you get. Never again, other places to go and get same quality.
If you have alot of money to spend on getting a car painted this is the place for you. I had my car painted at Gene Perez and the paint started to to peel off the fender about a moth after.

They are top of the line on collision repair on all premium cars
1. My corvette stingray 2015 had bumper cover damage. Got the paper work and payment from Allstate which stated clearly, new OEM bumper cover (original factory part), not reconditioning the damaged bumper.2. Got a call back a week later and said car was ready. I went to pick it up but was in a rush so didnt really look closely. Looked a little bit off at the shop but left.3. Got home and took a closer look, but the damaged area looked odd. There was a lump and dimple where the dent had been. So I check closely at the bumper. I know every scratch on the old bumper, and there is a big scratch that I had paid a detailer to repair, which is still there. Thats when I knew that they hadnt replaced the bumper as they had been paid to do.4. Call the manager and ask him why he didnt replace the bumper. At first, he insisted that the bumper was new. But when I confronted him, he changed his story to say that they reconditioned it because thats what the Allstate statement said, which is not true and confirmed multiple times by our Allstate agent and representatives. Allstate said that they paid for a new OEM bumper. The manager tried to say that ALT OEM on Allstate statement meant they can recondition, which was a completely bs.5. They also charged Allstate about 100 extra for badge replacement without replacing it. Obviously a fraud since they never replaced it.6. The Manager finally said sorry for mix up and will replace. I told him I would give him another chance.7. Took the car back and about another week later I got a call saying the car is ready.8. When I took a closer look, there was still a lump and dimple at the site of old damage. But they claimed it was a new bumper. So I had him show me my old bumper, which was half covered. I wished I had checked it closer. After I got home and examined it further, I tried to call and to see if I could take a look at the old bumper again. They hung up on me, pretended not be able to hear me six times, even though I had tried to call from both a landline and cell phone. Finally, Mike called back. He at first said the bumper was still there, but when I told him I wanted to see it again, he said most likely it has been sent back but will look and call back. He never called me back.9. In addition, the paint job was terrible with pain drip at the bottom of each side of the bumper.10. So, I called Allstate to start a fraud investigation.11. Their investigation showed they ordered a new bumper cover on the day I went to pick up the car the first time when it was finished. Proving that this was a fraud. But Allstate appears to have decided not to pursue since they appear to have put one on eventually, and they have the receipt of the bumper being ordered from a dealer the day the repair was supposed to be finished the first time.12. Told Allstate I was not happy with the quality of work and wanted to go somewhere else. They sent a investigation guy out who confirmed the poor workmanship. Also took it to another shop that also confirmed poor workmanship.13. Allstate stated since I went to an independent shop, they wouldnt pay for another repair and I had to go back to them. But the Allstate guy who came out to take a look offered to call the owner personally since he knew him.14. The owner never called back but the manager called. Said he would fix it. I brought the car in for the third time.16. The lump and dimple were improved, but they did another horrible paint job. They sanded the paint drip to the plastic and caused new damage. They also taped and painted on top of the tape so now there is a ridge where new and old paint meet. I guess they didnt want to paint the whole bumper again, which is what they should have done. I had to pay a detailer $200 to wetsand it, but it still looks bad.17. I gave these guys three chances to do it right. They failed each time, and attempted to commit insurance fraud. These guys really should be out of business.

Horrific service is the name of the business. Dont expect to pay by credit card, to be notified when the car will be ready, to get any notification if there is a delay, or anyone to be accountable.
My car has been at Gene Perez for almost 2 months. I have called almost daily to get updates on the repairs from my rear-end collision, and have gotten the run around as far as why it is taking so long. Will never use this place again.
They were really nice to work with however, you need to bother them to get an update on your car. It also took longer than expected to fix it.
Was hung up on while asking about getting an estimate for a repainted bumper. Mike or Matt, whatever his name was, extremely rude from the start. Not even taking the car in.
3 months to find all the damage on my car, which resulted in a total loss. I was out hundreds on rentals in the meantime, as insurance only paid for one month.
