I just moved to the area, and I brought my car here because of the great reviews. It was the right choice! Everyone here was more than kind, and before my appointment I messaged them on Yelp and they were very helpful with my questions and responded promptly! My oil change was reasonably priced, and the service was quick! I sat and waited maybe 30 minutes. 10/10 recommend giving this place a try! Ill definitely be coming back.

My car has been having battery issues and I thought that I needed an alternator replacement. I put off getting the car serviced because I was worried about finding a reputable shop in South Tampa. I was impressed by the reviews for A&D, so I called and asked for a price quote on the service. They called back within 30 minutes and gave a very reasonable price quote (under $600 for an alternator replacement), and said they could have it done the same day.The parking lot was pretty full, but there was still plenty of space for me to park. When I went into the shop, everyone was friendly and they had all the details from our phone call immediately available. They confirmed all my contact information and some of the mechanics came in to talk to me about the issues I was experiencing. The mechanics assured me they would fully investigate to make sure they fixed the right issue and did not do any unnecessary repairs, and then they got right to work!The person at the front desk was friendly and pleasant to be around. All of the employees seemed happy and friendly, and the environment had really nice vibes. A&D also offers a shuttle service to take you to your home or work if it is within a 5 mile radius of the shop, which I really appreciated!They called me within an hour of dropping me back at my house to let me know that they thought the alternator was fine and that the battery I was using (Everstart brand from Walmart) was just not holding a charge and causing my issues. I was skeptical, but they assured me that they warranty their batteries and they actually took the time to very respectfully and patiently explain the mechanical issues that were causing my battery to drain over time, even though I had kept it on a trickle charger. They also offered to check the power sources to look for any parasitic drains that could be causing issues, which I appreciated. They sent me a text when the car was ready a few hours later. In the end, I felt comfortable having A&D replace the battery ($175 total) and knowing that if the battery continues giving me issues then I will know where to bring my car for help.Overall, this was a great experience and I completely recommend this shop!

Friendly and honest. Took them our work van when we had some AC issues. What impressed me most is that when things didn’t work out perfectly, they stood behind their work. They’ve got a customer for life in me as a result.

Had a wonderful experience with them. I’m in Chicago and my daughter is in college in Tampa with a car that had some problems. She originally took it to a bmw dealership and was told the car needed 10k in work. I found this place and had her take it there after my 3rd phone call about the car not starting. They were beyond wonderful, the car did not need any work. They spent time with her, and me trying to figure out what was going on. She was scared to drive the car, and they spent time reassuring her. What an absolute honest place, which is hard to come by. I would recommend them to anyone needing work on their car.

A&D has the best customer service! I brought in my 2007 FJ Cruiser to have a major overhaul of the front end, but after taking the vehicle I had an issues with one of the CV axels that were installed (continual squeaking noise). I brought my SUV back to them and within just a few hours they replaced the part (A&D stands behind their warranty with no questions asked!) and inspected the rest of the vehicle to insure everything was to spec! David is an amazing mechanic and he was very patient and courteous while I explained the symptoms of the noises coming from the front end. I have full confidence in this shop and it’s mechanics! Thank you to the team at A&D auto. We called A&D on a referral from other University of Tampas parent group. We are from Chicago and my son attends the University there in Tampa. He has had continued problems with his car and from the first conversation with Tony he put us at ease that he would take good care of our son and getting whatever the problem was resolved. The guys at the shop kept in constant contact with us on the issues, Patrick was great in getting back with us immediately and breaking down the problem, we feel they were honest, efficient and knowledgeable. I have done business with Tony and the guys at the shop in the past but this time these guys blew me out of the water with their amazing customer service. I recently purchased a used Dodge Ram from a dealer on the 4th of July, the truck had under 67,000 miles so I thought I was getting a good deal but I was really wrong with my thinking. As I was pulling out of the dealership the check engine light came on and the truck started to run funny. On that following Monday I reached out to the dealer to let them know what was going on and they said they would just note my file and I was going to have the guys at A&D look at it and see what was up with it. Well I got the call from Tony that the cam and some of my lifters were blown out which meant I would need a whole new top half of the motor rebuilt, I got right on the phone with the dealer and they said sorry since you payed in full for the truck and I did sign the paperwork with no warranty it was my problem. So now with all of this going on I felt that the truck was going to be an issue but Tony and Julio (the Dodge guru) had it all under control and told me not to worry. Four days later Pat reached out and told me I was all set and come pick up truck, Julio had pulled the motor and made all the repairs that were needed to get me back on the road again. Now my story gets more dramatic, I was around the corner from the shop on 7/20 picking up parts for the motorcycle shop I work at when my wifes Jeep decided to die while I was waiting for my tires to get mounted. Luckily my truck was back at A&D for a quick double check and Julio drove the truck to where I was and jumped the Jeep and switched vehicles with me so I get back to work. Few hours later Pat called to let me know I was all set and the Jeep is back up and running again. I am sorry for the long winded story but I will NEVER go to another shop again as long as Tony, Pat and Julio are open for business, these guys are the best at what they do and I can not thank them enough for getting my wife and I back on the road again. I was told I needed $2k+ worth of work by Nissan when I asked them to check a rattling sound. Turns out it was a loose clamp which they said they’d fix. I took it to these guys for a second opinion and Lou, Chad and Tony took care of me. Not only did they say I didn’t need any of the work Nissan wanted, but they replaced the loose clamp for no charge! I cannot recommend these guys enough!

I have used A&D automotive for well over a decade. Years ago I moved about forty minutes outside of Tampa, but still take our cars to Tonys shop whenever I need repairs. Lou has been working on our families cars the entire time that we have been going to A&D and has always taken great care of us. They are the most honest and trustworthy mechanics I have ever dealt with, and I gladly drive out of my way to get work done on our cars.

I came here with my friend in January of 2020 after our friend, the daughter of the owner, told us her father owned a local mechanic. They did a thorough inspection and showed and explain everything to my friend since it was her car. Fast forward another month, this past weekend, my car started vibrating/shaking with the check engine light flashing. I assumed it was a burnt coil considering it happened to my car before. I was able to tow it to them and it was finished within a few hours. They even noticed all of my spark plugs were not made for a Hyundai. They showed me everything and explained everything to me in basic terms which I appreciate because I am not a mechanic and would probably not understand otherwise. All of the men in there were extremely friendly and made sure I was well taken care of. I tried tipping twice and they wouldnt even take it! They offer other services aside from mechanical work such as car cleaning, detailing, and more. Now that I have moved here more permanently, it is nice to have a mechanic I trust.

A & D Automotive is 5 star all the way! They diagnose the issues correctly and explain things in a manner that can be easily understood by a non-mechanic. Showed up around 2:20pm for an inspection and it was done in about an hour - incredible for such a busy time. Lot was packed so I was surprised. They did a great job and everyone was extremely friendly, explained everything to me and what could be done if I wanted. This will be my new mechanic and I will definitely return if I need. They even offer detailing/car wash services.

Be wary. Everyone seemed nice and friendly when I was in there but I brought my car in here twice, first time it was running a little strange but they said they couldnt figure out was what was wrong other than I would need something a few months down the line done... 2 days later my car is completely messed up. But I gave them the benefit of the doubt, I bring my car in at a later date and Im told that I need all kinds of repairs, Even stuff that I found out I didnt need, and I get 1 mile from the garage after they put it back together and my car completely locks up on me and will not move... Id like to give the benefit of the doubt but the fact that my car left in worse shape from there twice really makes me second guess them. I wasnt even going to post this until my mechanic told me how poorly things were put back together. I have kids that I drive around in this car, and my brakes were not put on correctly... Im definitely going somewhere else in the future but thought Id share my experience.

My old Toyota is on its last leg, and I brought it into A&D for one last fix. They could have hit me with a bunch of charges, but instead they figured out the minimum to fix it and made sure it was good to go again. They were so helpful and kind, and I could tell that they genuinely cared that I was a broke college student, who couldnt afford to pay a huge bill. I appreciate the work they did and their kindness so much! A dealership would have charged me 7.5x more!!!

Being a new resident in Tampa, I had previously gotten an oil change at a different establishment where I was told that I needed new brakes for a very steep price. I took my car to A & D and they ran tests for me, drove my car, and found that my car was in fact fine. The workers were so friendly, helpful, and HONEST. I will only be taking my car here from now on!

I had a small accident the other morning while driving to work, both of my front tires blew out which caused me to hit a curb, now since I have custom wheels and tires my first issue was finding a shop that could do the repairs in a timely manner. I had the car towed over to A&D and within a few hours after the car got there I received a call from them letting me know the car got there safely and the repairs would be done in the morning since the tires needed to be ordered due to there size and they stood by their promise and my car was done first thing this morning. I have done business with Tony and his guys in the past and I will never go else where ever again for my car repairs. Tony and his crew stand behind their promises and make sure your not left without your car for days on end. Great shop and great crew at A&D !!!

Parking is tight and the shop is very busy but they make it work and I feel it’s the main driving force for the fast turn around with repairs.

I had heard about the legendary Tony, and finally had the chance to experience A&Ds great service two days in a row, after I destroyed the same tires on my car by cutting the same corner too close not once, but twice in a row. These guys were quick and knowledgeable. They fixed my Lexus IS250 (broken fuel pressure sensor) and got the job done quick without getting hung up on every little obstacle (which is what I encountered with literally everyone else). They also have a great carwash/detailer guy. Highly recommend.

Had a great experience yesterday at A&D. Took my 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee in because the brakes were making noise and the AC. Thought it was time for new brake pads because of mileage. But they told me the brakes are great, they tweeked them at no cost. They also checked the AC and found no issues. They couldve installed new brake pads and charged me but they didnt. Im a fan now too.

Had my 2016 Honda Civic EXT coupe for some maintenance (A17). Turns out I never needed a break flush. PATRICK was very upfront honest about that which I very much appreciated, and because of that I will be back. Also did a basic clean for $25 and did an amazing job. 5 STARS !!!

Ive been to many auto shops over the years, both chain shops and smaller mom & pop type shops. I called because I was told I needed a new alternator by the tow company. It was 5:15 in the afternoon, not realizing they closed at 5:30 . Pat answered and gave me a quote, which was significantly less than the other two places I called. I explained the tow truck was having trouble getting my car up because the battery was dead and he assured me he would wait for me. It ended up being 6:30 before I got there and he was still waiting. As soon as my car was dropped off 3 mechanics were already taking a look at it and Pat had already ordered the part! Less than 24 hours later my car was fixed (along with a belt that needed to be replaced, which was also very reasonably priced). Overall great experience from the price, to the repair quality but most importantly the staff! Car trouble is very stressful so it was really nice that Pat and his team were awesome to me! Thanks again guys. I will be definitely be back if I have any other car troubles!

I have never seen this many hack mechanics under one roof. Shocked that they have any positive reviews, My experience with Tony was nothing but lies, misery., and excuses. When attempting to discuss my concerns with Tony he became belligerent and aggressive. Had to have car towed home again after 3rd repair. Im afraid to go back because I truly think they would get physical. Save yourself the hassle and avoid this place!

Ive recently bought my first car (a used 06 VW). I had absolutely no experience with mechanical problems. These guys rock!One weekend I submitted a request about my breaks being squeaky on their website. They called me a few hours later to let me know that they were currently closed, but they would love to see my car when they open on Monday (which was super nice).When I took my car in, they inspected the breaks (for free) and let me know that it was just a little break dust causing the noise and no further maintenance was required. Lot of mechanics would have used that as an opportunity to sell me something I didnt need, but they guys are totally honest.Id recommend A&D Auto to anyone!
