I don’t understand how someone could give these guys less than five stars!They are AMAZING!I have been in the market for a Porsche Boxster for a while, and my first time there was when I had to bring a 1998 Porsche Boxster for a Pre-Purchase Inspection.They told me everything that was wrong with it and that it need it $5000 worth of repairs, so I decided not to buy that one.A few weeks later, I purchased a 2008 Boxster that needed rotors and brake pads replaced and an oil change. All of that cost me $1350 at Rennen Imports, and it was all completed in less than 24 hours!Even though they might be a little more expensive than other places, it is worth it!If you own a Porsche in the Tampa Bay area, this is the place for you and your Porsche!They are super friendly, they have been working with Porsches for more than 30 years, they are knowledgeable, they are attentive, and they will take care of you and your car.I just wish that they were not so expensive, but you get what you pay for, and I had a fantastic experience at Rennen Imports and will be coming back!

Rennen kept my poor old Mini Cooper running (as well as possible) for me for a long time; and so I will only bring my new Mini convertible to them for service now and in the future! BMW Mini Cooper located in Wesley Chapel, Florida told me that my 2014 mini, countryman needed a new A/C motor etc...the job would be $3,700.00. I thought to myself I need someone else to tell me the same thing because I really could not afford this repair. I spoke to Steve at Rennen Imports, and told him what the dealer had said about the car. He priced it up and said the most it would be is around $2,000 should he replace the A/C unit etc...I brought my Mini, to him and he said he would check it out to make sure that the car needed all that the dealer said. Well, to my surprise he called me once he checked the A/C in the car and said the car needed a fan and the job would be around $650.00....that was unbelievable, and made my day. The dealer, lied and they even sent me a video of the guy who went over the car. Wow, Rennen Imports is the place to bring your foreign car to get an honest opinion on repairs.

I went for the 1st time to do oil change and tire rotation for my Mercedes and I asked only for the cost of the oil change. Oil change price was the same as my dealership but I accepted the price since my dealership was too busy. I didnt ask for the tire rotation cost since I thought it will be $20-$30 (Thats what other dealerships charge me. Mercedes of tampa bay charge $20 for rotation and $50 for rotation + balance ) . They end up charging me $70 for tire rotation!!!!!! yes $70 for only tire rotation, no balancing or anything else. When I talked to the owner about it, he told me he can take off those $70 in the future from the $$$$$ quote. He gave a loooonnnngg list of things to change including brakes fluid that I changed at the dealership a year ago (for $99, his quote was $150 for that item). Of course I wont go there again. Today I decided to go back to my mercedes of tampa bay dealership and redo the oil change since I dont trust rennen at all now and it was a relief to have that peace of mind back.

I would recommend their service to anyone, needing fair pricing and great quality. They took the time to troubleshoot an unknown issue with my Porshe Cayenne. My vehicle is running better because of this shop. I will see you all soon for my next service. Thanks again

Ive been taking my German cars (Porsches and a BMW) here for many years, probably a decade. I occasionally have to go back to the dealer(s) for certain things (like warranty items) and am reminded every time what a pleasure it is to work with Steve and his team and I wish I could just deal with them on everything. Ive been using Rennen Imports to service our vehicles for several years. Most recently, I needed routine maintenance on my Porsche Macan. I was quoted close to $1,000 by the local dealership for an intermediate service. The folks at Rennen did the exact same service for less than half of what the dealership wanted to charge me. Ive had them work on BMWs, Porsche, Audi and Mercedes that Ive owned over the years- and will continue to use them thanks to their service, performance and price.

They did a fantastic job helping to identify a coolant leak (I know, Land Rover, Right..) and they were able to get the repair done in 2-business days as promised. I felt extremely well informed, and trusted they completed the work needed without charging me anything further. I pick up my LR4 today and its running awesome with no more coolant leak. The mechanics here seem qualified but there was a “miscommunication”. I was told they would call before completing any work. When I had not heard from them I followed up but the assistant would not let me speak with the service manager. The next day the service manager left a message while I was in a meeting. I called right back but he completed the work with out speaking to me. The result cost me an additional $1000.00 on a car I had decided to trade in. When I picked up the car I addressed this way of doing business and was met with hostility. I took It somewhere else for the remainder of the repairs and I had no problem getting clear communication. I was very uncomfortable with the way I was spoken to and I will not be going back.In response to the reply below: I appreciate your explanation of the engine mounts and how they function, however the below account of what happened is not accurate. I was specifically told the car was safe to take on a road trip and that the repairs were not an emergency. I had postponed the repair until I returned, which ended up being just fine. I was specifically told someone would call me and speak with me at that time- they did not. I wrote this review to prevent someone experiencing what I did- if only because you don’t want another negative review. Customer service is a skill and it makes a big difference to your customer.

Great repair shop. These guys are experts at fixing anything. They KNOW cars. Steve could tell me every recall on my car without looking it up. He knew all the common problems with the make and model of my car. I was quoted a price to fix my car’s problem and the final price was $400 LESS! These guys are not only fair but they’re HONEST!! Something very rare in car repair in my experience, and I’m 64 years old. I trust these guys explicitly with my car. If I have any question about what’s going on with my car these guys know the answer. Very impressive knowledge and ability to fix any car. They’re not cheap but when they diagnose it’s the correct diagnosis and when they fix something it’s FIXED.

Before bringing my Audi to Rennen Imports, I had a pretty bad experience with another auto repair shop. They took my car in and didn’t give me a diagnosis until a full week later. Even then, they billed me for cheap parts that broke within my vehicle about 3 weeks later. It was a nightmare.My experience with Rennen Imports was the complete opposite. When I walked in the shop, Stephen took care of me and not only listened to the issues I was having with the vehicle, but carefully explained the details behind the issues. Within hours, the car was fully diagnosed rather than a full week later, and Stephen even printed out the cost and repair estimates for me so that I could budget accordingly. Within a full day, the repairs were completed and the car has been running in excellent shape ever since. The process took all of 2 days!Overall, Rennen Imports is an excellent repair shop. I have been to several auto shops that specialize in German repair, and I can truthfully say that none of them have been as honest and as reasonably priced as Rennen Imports. As successful as this shop is, they work tirelessly to make sure each and all of their customers are satisfied. The environment is very welcoming, the service is quick, and the repair work is excellent. I highly recommend this shop, and I will be bringing all of my repair work there in the future! 10/10

Great repair shop was in a bit of a situation needing a part for my car and they were not only the closest to me, but were able to get the part the fastest. I even called the dealership and it would have taken them longer to get the part! Very glad they were able to help me out, seemed like an overall great staff from the nice young lady up at the front desk to Stephen who was able to get the part for me very quickly. Very thankful I called them and would recommend giving them a call if you need anything!

Would like to leave a positive review however three times I have reached out for information and was promised answers and answers were never delivered ....now they are trying to cover up by making a fictitious claim that doesnt even represent the story truthfully. They did find the part ! I even have proof of that....so not really sure where all of this cover fabrication is coming from...never again.

After my experience with this company, I feel the need to warn others that might take their car here. This shop is near my house so I came in for a small noise I was occasionally hearing. Admittedly, Im not an expert in cars so I agreed to a $125 cost for a mere inspection. Next morning I got a call from Mark with bad news. The mechanic told me that my car had broken hoses, was leaking fluids that are flammable and the car was potentially dangerous to drive. He gave me an estimate of $2,200. I decided to get a second opinion from a dealer that specializes in Porsche Boxsters. I discovered there was no leak in any hose. After 15 years of driving, the problem was merely that the fluid was low. Its now its fixed, running perfectly and the repair was $150. There is one currency that is invaluable to running an auto repair shop and thats trust. Instead of being honest brokers they went for a money grab. In doing that they lost both my trust and didnt gain much of my money.

My vehicle required a lot of work this past week and they checked in with me daily to provide a status update because they know just how stressful the entire process can be. Then guessed (second time) at what the problem might be & tried to charge me again for the same issue that wasnt fixed.Took vehicle somewhere else and problem fixed within a day for under $500. These professionals are experts that should diagnose & know what the issue is and not guess (second time) after they cant fix it initially. Always get a second opinion.In response to owner (below):I can assure you I am legit & this is my very horrible experience dealing with Rennen. Your mechanic had no knowledge on how to fix my issue on my luxury car & cost me couple thousand on a $460 job.Also, to piggyback on Stephanie Hendersons post: They are not certified BMW technicians. They will hustle you and have racist under tones. Also, they treat female customers with partiality and they over price their services! Do not waste your time or money.

Naturally after such horrendous experiences with the dealership (which we always thought would be trustworthy under the umbrella of the national brand corporation - and which we had had wonderful experiences with in other states), I was extremely skeptical of any car service moving forward, but had found a number of positive reviews about Rennen so I decided to give it a shot.From my very first visit, I had good vibes. As others have said, the place is no frills (they do have coffee, a restroom, and wifi, but youre basically sitting in a mechanics shop. Actually this is quite refreshing since there are no walls between you and the management/staff so you hear and see everything - theyre very transparent, very authentic).They explained everything to me and never pushed services on me. Helped me prioritize what was more urgent and what could wait and were extraordinarily diligent and accommodating when it came to my unique scheduling needs. I had to wait for the car and leave before noon for each service appointment so they divided the work up into a couple of visits and always ensured I was done ahead of my requested schedule.I feel so fortunate to have found this place to service our vehicle(s) and hopefully our vehicle(s) wont need as much service now that we are getting things done properly the first time!!Give them a try. I had no idea who to call (as I am from out of town) for a pre-purchase inspection on a used X5 I was purchasing, and stumbled upon Rennen after seeing some great reviews. I emailed at 11:00 p.m. to schedule an inspection for the next day. David got back to me within the hour with helpful information on who to call the next morning. I called the office the next day and the guy was so helpful, funny, and friendly. The inspection was scheduled, and an extensive report was provided along with a phone call of a summary of any issues. It was such a pleasant experience, being that I had no idea who to trust in Tampa, and that I was on a strict timeline. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for honest and knowledgeable mechanics. I look forward to using them again if I am ever in the area.

The staff at Rennen is 1st class and I highly recommend them to anyone that does not want to get ripped off my dealer rates... From my BMW to now my Maserati, this is the best place in town hands down..

Great place to go get your car fixed awesome people

Everybody at Rennen was great, from David to Audra to Steve to all of the techs. They treat you well and are very knowledgeable. They installed a new air compressor on my Audi A3 TDI, and it cost almost half as much as the Audi dealership quoted me on. They got me a rental car and in and out in the same day. A/C works great now! Highly recommend this place for your European car repair or maintenance.

Rennen is the place to go!! I have owned 4 European cars they all have gone to Rennen Imports. Best place to go for your car needs.

The garage to have your car serviced in reasonable way. Their charges are very reasonable. Will let you know exactly what is needed.

They are not certified BMW technicians. They will hustle you and have racist under tones. Also, they treat female customers with partiality and they over price their services! Do not waste your time or money.

Good guys. They know porsche and BMW well and are resonably priced.
