I recently remodeled my bathroom with Clara at the Carpet Store and the whole process took less than 2 weeks! The installers were at my house early in the morning and they worked non stop the whole day. Couldn’t be happier with my new bathroom!

Im not sure how much you need to spend with these people to get their attention but apparently a couple of grand is not enough.I purchased a few hundred dollars worth of carpet to cover a family room area. Getting it done was like pulling teeth. After selecting the carpet I wanted, I called Jim to have the 7 sided area measured. That took two calls. Once the measurement was done I put down 50 percent and was told that the carpet would be in stock in three weeks. That time came and went. I called later in the third week and was told it had been in stock for a while. I arranged for installation one week later, moved the furniture and waited. No one showed up. Called Jim. Installation was the done the following day. The reason Im giving this place two stars is the installation was excellent. One expert installer did the job in about 2 1/2 hours. I called the day the installation was done to make the other 50 percent payment and was told that they could not accept a credit card payment over the phone although this is how I made the first payment.About a month later I wanted to do two more rooms with the same product. I made several calls to arrange the measurement. 60 days later Im still waiting.Ive since gone to another local carpet and flooring company that was happy to have the business.

What a great experience, the installers actually knew what they were doing and cleaned up before they left. Dealing with The Carpet Store in St. Petersburg has been a wonderful experience. We highly recommend them.

I have been a customer of Clara New at the Carpet Store in Tampa since 2004. I am a professional flooring installer and work with a lot of investors and homeowners. I buy carpet, laminate, vinyl,tile and hardwood floor from the Carpet Store and many times I have sent my customers there to select flooring. The Carpet Store is the only company that I know that always have dozens of carpet rolls in stock as well as pallets and pallets of tile and laminate in stock, which makes my job easier as I can install the material right away, after I give a quote to my customer, not only that, but if there is any issue they always stand by the manufacturers warranty. Excellent prices, great quality, best customer service in town, The Carpet Store is, without any doubt, the best flooring company in Tampa.

Wouldve, couldve and shouldve been a five star rating if not for the time and energy I wasted in getting my tile order done proper.My tile was to be installed in less than a week, all the while Im made to assume that my tile is waiting to be picked up. I get a call from the carpet store telling me later that my tile is not available. This is the last thing you want to hear when time is of the essence.Perhaps it was due to the crisis that the tile didnt make it in time. Who knows! I was told Id hear back with an alternative that closely resembled the original, never heard back.Ill give them a 3 star rating for the initial service I got from them, but this was a big time waster for me.

Im looking for an interlocking engineered hardwood. He said why wouldnt you prefer a laminate I said no I like the engineered hardwood and I wanted to be interlocking instead of tongue and groove he said its the same thing I said no its not he started to show me some things that he wanted to sell me I looked at him shook my head turned around and left Im taking my business elsewhere what a dumbass

In response to Mrs. JESSICA ARODAK: I have been installing flooring for the Carpet Store for 12 years and I am very frustrated about your review. When the Sales Rep Clara wrote your husband NOUR ALARAJ a quote on Tuesday May 29th it was very clear that it was based on his measurements and information and we made an appointment for me to stop by and professionally measured your place. I mesaured on Wednesday May 30th and send the information to Clara, Sales Rep. As you wanted carpet installation over existing tile I was very clear to explain that the tack strips had to be glued down to the tile and I would had to send my crew on Friday to glue them and send them again to install on Saturday. I also explained that the doors had to be cut (you said that you had someone to cut them) and 3 transition pieces were required for the areas where the tile and the carpet met (kitchen/ bathrooms and closets). When Clara gave a quote it didnt include cutting doors or metal strips as all these details were only known after I stopped by your house. You ended up having one less yard than the one written on the quote and Clara gave you credit but when your husband showed up at the store on Thursday May 31st to confront Clara because he wanted her to honor the installation price written on the QUOTE it was clear to me that this was going to be a difficult installation for my crew. When your husband NOUR ALARAJ started to being rude to Clara and told her that I had to do the job for $450 instead of $495 ($45 for 3 metal pieces) she immediately told her that she was going to give him credit for the materials as the store doesnt mark up the installation and the metals were required. My crew showed up at your property on Friday June 1st at 9:15 am and left at 6:51 pm without taking a break or even eating lunch to finish the job as you said you had furniture to be delivered.All this information was written in the Invoice and was SIGNED by your husband Mr. NOUR ALARAJ. I hope this clarify some of the misinformation that you wrote on this page. Thanks.

Response to the owner:i don’t know how you e rated in business for so long with the attitude that your unprofessional staff are always correct & the customer is lying. Clara hung up on my face when I was asking her why the price jumped $215 when I told her specifically what needs to be done in my house. She then forwarded all of my calls and send me a photo of my invoice with the word “voided” written across it & i asked her why she did that. I have the screenshots to prove it. And you weren’t rushing for my schedule, I asked when it could be done she gave me Friday. FOR THAT REASON, I scheduled my furniture to be delivered after everything would be finished. So yes obviously I couldn’t hange it after that and was therefore forced to pay your extra fees which I was told was included in the cost. I do not want for anything so believe me when I say I could care less about the money. People need to know what kind of shady games your employees are playing. You should take responsibility instead of trying to blame it on me when all I did was come in to buy a product and get a service done.I would highly recommend you avoid these people. The poor labor workers they have are wonderful and do a fantastic job but the reps and the contractor are rude as hell and will void your invoice if you question their price changing tactics. It looks like these 2 are thieves together.The only reason we used them is because we already had furniture scheduled to be delivered and they knew that and took advantage to try and steal money from us.We walk in and browse a bit when a woman by the name of Clara comes by to help. She was great, we have her our measurements and what we were looking for, she suggested a few things, we chose what we liked. She told us their Independent contractor (Andres) would be able to be out in 2 days and could have it done the same day. We specified we were installing on top of tile and didn’t want to damage the tile at all, my husband asks Clara if the transition pieces for the tile are included and she says yes, everything included in the price, it will only change if the measurements are incorrect. Andres came out the day before to do measurements. He says our doors are too low they need to be trimmed, I asked if he provides this service to which he says no but he has a handyman who can do it BUt not before Friday, I told him no problem we can take care of it ourselves. The next day I get a photo texted to my cell of the new invoice which has an extra $170 tacked on for (trimming the doors) and $45 for (3 metal peices) that was literally the description. 3 metal peices. For what, i don’t know. After calling Clara to discuss this price change she proceeds to tell me that this is the price whether I like it or not and if not come to the store and get my money and hung up on me. I tried to call her 3 times and she forwarded my calls and texted me that she voided out my invoice and to come get my money back. My husband had to go back to the store to have a convo with the RUDEST rep Clara and her sidekick Andres and was forced to pay their extra money BC we had a delivery coming and couldn’t change it. I would recommend to find professionals to do the job or to avoid these two because they are the absolute worst.

Nice floor selections, BUT make sure you ask if you can return unopened boxes! We have 33 unopened boxes that we were never told couldnt be returned. Also, do not buy underlayment from here. They are all horrible.

I contracted with The Carpet Store for all new floors for my new home in April. I dealt with Edwin Morales and he was very professional and upfront with me. They sent an install crew with a supervisor by the name Andres Caceras. The crew was diligent about making sure everything was perfect and went above and beyond to get it right. In the end there were multiple complications with the job but, the most important fact of the whole situation is that their customer service was absolutely perfect and even the GM called me early on Monday morning before the store was even open to apologize and make it right. This fact in itself is the main reason for this review. We all know that people make mistakes, although most companies here in Florida dont seem to care after they have received your money. Again Thank you Edwin, Andres and Ethan for making a situation that was bad into something that was most pleasurable.Sincerely,Justin Matthews

This place is the worst. Do not go with any of their referrals. We used Guaranteed Installations and it has been nothing but a nightmare. The tile is uneven and the grout it coming up in 3 areas. Since this place referred I am giving them a ZERO. Plus the tile is chipping in some areas. Probably because they cut it wrong.
