There are still currently doing take out only but I love their system. You go in, order at a self kiosk, and then you wait for your drink in which is was received. We ordered the galaxy tea, royal milk tea, and split drink with milk tea and strawberry rose milk tea. The best one was the galaxy limeade, it was so refreshing and delish. The others were okay. I would definitely return for that tea but not the others. The efficiency of this place was great and wait was about 5-10 minutes because there was already a line but I enjoyed my time there.
Small but mighty-TeaStori is nothing special on the outside. And what they are lacking in space on the inside, they make up for in serving up awesome drinks. In case you didn’t get that- it’s small, stuffy, and definitely cozy in the store. It’s really quite cute, but not near enough room for the amount of people that come in and out on a daily basis. It’s a popular place.I like that they had a few more options than just boba, like macarons and mochi ice cream. You order using one of their giant touch screens and away you go. It’s nice and (mostly) efficient.Their boba was fantastic. I got a split cup, which is an awesome option if you want to try more than one flavor. I always have that issue- I want to try everything so it’s perfect for me, haha. I got the chai milk tea and taro. The tapioca was soft and chewy and just the way it should be and I was super happy I made the stop. The story to tell is that TeaStori knows what they’re doing!
Was exited to try their tea. At the moment didn’t accept cash and was out of stock of drinks I wanted to try. Restroom didn’t work “at the moment” either. I mean everything was okay, but I came from far to try their tea and first impression was not what was expected. Tea itself was… just okay, really artificial flavor. Definitely not the best tea I tried but for one time not that bad
I love their mochis and macaroons! The salted caramel mochi is my favorite. My friends and family also really enjoy their bubble tea (boba) and other refreshing drinks. Since the pandemic, they do not allow self-serve for the variety of mochis. They have a lot of options - check them out.P.S This establishment used to be called Boba Cup just in case anyone was wondering if it was replaced or not. Its still the same, dont worry.
This place is so cute! We tried coconut and birthday cake macaroons, a peach white boba tea, and a caramel corn milk tea. Everything tasted delicious! I do wish the bobas were a little more flavorful, but that is the only criticism I could find. Even the caramel corn boba tea (which normally isnt my thing) tasted great, and the topper had actual caramel corn in it. The popcorn was separate from the milk tea in a container shaped like a cat. This place is great, and theyre trying to be very covid safe. 5 stars!
Our go to Bobashop. The cleanliness is out of this world. They always have the best seasonal decorations and to top it all off their drinks are amazing.
This is THE BEST place the get boba around the USF area. The tea itself tastes great and there are plenty of flavors and add-ins. I recommended taro, it tastes the best out of all the ones I’ve tried. Also, the atmosphere is super cute and they are constantly changing it up so it is always something new.
Flavor was only decent. I got cookies and cream, but it tasted of coffee. They charge you if you request no ice, if that gives you an idea on how they plan on nickel-and-diming you. Once they fill it with ice and whipped cream, there isnt much actual tea, especially since they seem to use narrower cups than other places around. They seem to try to remedy this by making the cups taller, but the cup is now taller than the straw which either means a) you cant put the straw at the bottom or b) you lose your straw. Poor design, poor quality and quantity given price.
Just love this place. I used to go there since the day one they opened. They have many types of Boba tea. A lot of things changes, now they serve mochi, boba tea, and macaroons. This place always clean, it is nice to be inside. Now you can make an order through the iPad. The customer service always was great. They even have an option for people when they cannot decide what flavor they want, they can order a cup that is separated in the middle. You can have two flavors at one time!
This place is very well lit and has nice decor. Macaroons taste pretty good. I haven’t tried any of their menu items. But i came here to taste their boba tea. It was very good. Though a small place it has nice coffee shop look going for it. The staff was very cordial and tea was made just about right. Cool place for a quick stop.
Quick service. Great flavor selection. I highly recommend.
Tonight was our first trip to TeaStori. I liked the ordering set up was very easy.Taro Milk was a hit.Strawberry Rose Milk tea did not taste anything like strawberry and tasted very bitter.Pumpkin Viet iced coffee was amazing.Lavender Earl Grey tea was awful. Like really bad watered down tea with to much milk.We got a variety of the Mochi ice cream all was very good.My favorite cookies are the French Macron, we got a bunch of those and I was so disappointed. The worst one was the honey lavender. It tasted like dish soap. I had to have my husband try to make sure my taste buds weren’t off. The raspberry and Nutella were the only good ones the rest didn’t taste as good as I’ve had from other places.
BAD TREATMENT, just really badMy patience was tried tonight, and every night I go for boba here. I order macarons and mochi ice cream; the short girl with glasses tells me they don’t have cake batter mochi, yet she tries several times to charge me for it. I tell her at least 3 times to take that mochi ice cream off since they don’t have it, she still has it on the screen waiting for me to pay for an extra mochi she said they don’t have and that she assures me she took off, yet it’s still displayed on the pay screen....? She finally gets the total right after 5 minutes of me coaching her through the order and customers looking at me as if I’m being problematic ; I add an extra large ube unicorn milkshake with boba;I get my order and it has no whip cream and sprinkles it usually comes with. I ask the guy for the whip cream, he apologizes and tries to still give me the straw and drink; I ask him to put the whip and sprinkles on top, he says he cannot because of the lid- but he’s giving me a drink that has no lid anyway...?, I ask him for the whip cream and sprinkles in a separate cup, he apologizes and says he can’t do that( mind you, this is whip cream and sprinkles that that specific drink is entitled to, so I’m not asking anything extra or special), so I ask him to give me a refund, he says he can’t do that, he asks me to wait as he asks a coworker about the whip cream, and then he asks about the refund; he comes back to tell me he CAN give me the whip cream and sprinkles that the drink was supposed to have originally come with. I’m in this boba shop about 30minutes now and I was one of the first few initial customers. He brings my drink back with sad, deflated whip cream and sprinkles, as he’s telling me that next time they won’t- I interrupt him, “I know, I know” as I take my drink, it’s as I’m out the shop that I realize I should’ve really told him that they need to have a sign next time specifying that such xlarge drinks such as the ube unicorn can’t allow for the distinguished whip cream and sprinkles that from all other drinks, actually sets the ube apart.
They had plenty of health precautions in place, kiosks that made ordering very easy (especially for people visiting for the first time), and a great variety of different teas/ flavors to indulge in. I had a split cup of strawberry rose and cookies and cream. The cookies and cream shouldnt have worked as a tea, but it did and I will definitely be ordering that again. I also had an espresso macaroon for two dollars which I found to be fairly priced and very palatable.
The service was friendly and the inside of the tea story is cute. I also like the self serve kioks. But other than that, there is nothing good I can say about TeaStori. I got three different boba flavors and I liked none of them. The boba ingredients taste very low quality and artificial. They should charge less for this quality. Also, they have no sitting inside the tea store.
This is by far the best boba place around, and they are the most consistent with their quality.
Tried the Java chip coffee first time ever here amazing oh and I added boba to mine !!! Will be a returning customer.
Ive been going here for I think 7+ years and Ive always loved this place. Best boba Ive had in Tampa. I have to say the drink quality and boba pearl freshness is -sometimes- inconsistent, but thats probably inevitable. Majority of the time the drinks are good, and they have good mochi and macarons too. Almost all the workers are very friendly even when the place is ridiculously busy. The wait can be quite a bit but the drinks are good enough that I dont mind.Id love to see the day food comes back to the menu if its ever a possibility!
Best place for selection of drinks and Mochi! 2nd time going and still satisfied. Place is VERY busy, expect to wait after ordering for at least 5 minutes.
This is the best tea store around USF Tampa. Split cup is the best choice.
Fast and fun! Tons of flavors and even more personality.
I have been an enthusiastic bubble tea drinker since 2009 and was excited about all of the bubble tea options when my husband and I moved to Tampa! I have tried most of the bubble tea shops in the area and, while many of them are delicious, this one is definitely my favorite.Their mochi bar is full of flavorful options and they have a great selection of teas and mix-ins. They also sell macarons! Ive never had a tea that I didnt enjoy here. The staff is also always friendly and knowledgeable and they have a rewards program that is great for frequenting customers! The shop is always clean, cute, and they often decorate for holidays! 5 stars and a high recommendation from me!
Ive gone to almost every boba spot in Tampa and this one is definitely in my top 2 favorites for quality drinks and experience.
Very cute boba tea shop with good drinks. Just wish they had seating space and more room overall.
My favorite boba place in Tampa! Ive been here multiple times, and every time my drink is super tasty! Staff is friendly and place is cozy. Highly recommend the Hokkaido milk tea
Good place to go for Boba tea.
Love this place! Best boba in town
The store has a lot of options for different kinds of boba tea, macrons and mochi. Its a cute store with good service.
I LOVE this spot. Inviting atmosphere, always beautifully decorated, the drinks and snacks NEVER leave me disappointed. Staff is friendly and helpful!! I often have annoying questions when I go at non peak times like “what do you think of this flavor combo?”, “can I get this with this thing instead of that?” They have always answered my questions with a smile and been kind. I use to go here almost every weekend and cannot recommend it more. High quality products. If you’re on the fence let this be the little nudge to check it out!!
Small tea place with really good ingredients and very friendly customer service. Close to USF maybe not in the exact best part of town but its safe and not in a bad area parking lot is decent theres a lot of stores here a lot of really good restaurants in this plaza but by far this tea place is my favorite Close to Busch Gardens and Adventure Island Mosie definitely worth the time if you like boba.
Great service, great atmosphere, wonderful food and drinks! Will definitely go back!
They have a large variety of teas for every boba lover! I really enjoy their avocado 🥑 snow and honeydew 🍈 milk tea! I always have a wonderful experience when I visit. They also have the best French macarons! They are larger than regular ones found at most places & definitely worth the $2ea. Oh, also, TRY THE MOCHI ICE CREAM!! It’s deeeelicious!
BOBACUP is hands-down the best milk tea joint I’ve ever been to. They’re always courteous and make sure you get exactly what you want...and not to mention that plenty of the local “car guys” are welcomed to meet here, order drinks and talk shop outside! As a Tampa native, born and raised, I can’t think of another place I’d rather go for a tasty Asian beverage :)Don’t listen to some Karen that’s review-bombing just because they got their feathers ruffled (or who haven’t even been to the shop!) - BOBACUP welcomes people of all backgrounds and walks of life.5-star business and 5-star service!!
I like the selection of flavors and the mochi ice cream. I usually get the Taro Milk Tea. My boyfriend has insisted the Mocha Latte Frappes are better here than at Starbucks. It also came in the cutest cup. You can also get the cutest masks here.
Absolutely amazing i love coming here, everything is delicious
Ever since I found out about Bobacup I visit at least once a week! Its a bit of a drive for me as I live in Land O Lakes, but its worth it every time. :) The workers are always upbeat and so kind and the tea is amazing.
Cute little boba place :-)
Such a cute place and the boba is really cheap and good!
I wonder why the changed the name tho lol
The boba there was very good had an amazing experience here plus the music played was kpop so it was amazing.
I loved this place and will definitely be back!! Mochi-land love for me!! My favorite was the black sesame seed, lychee and matcha 😍 I am so in love I wish I lived closer! We also had a matcha tea with boba and it was just perfect. Very friendly staff, and super cute place. Pricing is great too, I’m glad this place exists here.
The strawberry rose milk tea was very good and the boba was chewy and slightly sweet but the galaxy limeade thing tasted like water with just a little lime taste so that was disappointing but overall fairly good. Glad people can order inside again at the kiosk.
I thoroughly enjoy their different mochis.
I LOVED the boba teas! I just didn’t like that there is no customer service, you have to order off the menu and it took me a long time to find what I wanted and I wish someone would be there to help guests figure out the menu. I also wanted a sweet treat, but so annoyed with the scrolling of the menu, I choose not to buy myself a sweet treat. No human interaction until someone is screaming your name cause your drink is ready. Also, we would have liked to take a pic and have it put up on the wall, they are not doing that anymore, and you get to see other people’s fun times there from 2018. Time to update your pics of your customers!
I ordered the hazelnut milk tea and the cherry blossom tea in the split boba cup. The service was quick and the tea was flavorful, but definitely tasted a little artificial for my liking. The cherry blossom tea tasted as though I was drinking perfume. I may or may not go back to try them again and choose different flavors.
Bobacup is always clean, and their team treats everybody with kindness. The drinks are tasty, there are a ton of options, and despite the store itself being pretty small, they do an amazing job of keeping everything pandemic safe. I always bring people who dont live in Tampa here. Awesome local business!
I see some of the other reviews and see I’m not alone in my assessment; I also had in mind that the bad treatment and customers looking at me as problematic was due to some type of prejudice, as I’m in there often; the reality being, the staff were delivering poor service
TeaStori was formerly BobaCup. Nearly everything has stayed the same: friendly service, delicious teas, macarons, and mochi, and cute decor, but with a different name. I asked today because I was curious (they re-opened recently after the brief re-branding period), the manager said it was related to a franchise situation. They offer many vegan options with soy or almond products instead of dairy, as well as many fruit options. This tea house is very consistent in their quality and has great health precautions to protect both employees and customers. Additionally, their loyalty program is easy to use: you get a free drink after 10 teas purchased.Out of the 10 or so spots to grab boba tea within 5 minutes, this is tied for first place in my opinion. Its also super convenient to many shops, for games, pet supplies, groceries, and more.
The manager or whoever was there at the time gave us an attitude from the beginning. We ordered on the computer when we were supposed to and had to wait 20 mind for our tea and were the only ones inside! Then we were asked to leave with no refund we had to pretty much beg for our refund. Would never go again. Sorry
Nice place to visit just dont like the new straws, they leave a strange after taste.
Good boba for sure but only reason why Im giving it 2 stars is because they charge $1 for ice? Like, whats the ice made of or what great effort goes into making the ice that they need to charge a dollar for it? Also, they charge additionally for the boba and some ingredients that drinks already normally have in them, for example, for the Thai tea they charge additionally for the milk that makes a Thai tea a Thai tea. A bit ridiculous if you ask me.
If you pay shari $32.17 shell give you the special Boba tea, idk whats in it but it kinda tastes like battery acid and pennies
Very fast efficient ordering process.Friendly service at fair prices.
Weve tried about 4 different drinks so far. All were amazing This place is soooo good. The taro smoothie is amazing if you like that taro flavor (might not be authentic taro? But good still) the taro slushie with honey boba was *chefs kiss* good. So is the London Fog if you like herbal or floral flavors! I love that these arent overly sweet. Thats the selling point for me. Fresh and good flavor with not so much sugar! Dont guess, just do it.
According to their new website:Hello,The former BOBACUP store will be CLOSED May 10th to May 23rd for repairs and cleaning. We will rebrand as TeaStori to unify our two locations; Tampa & Gainesville for clarity and less confusion of other similar bobacup names usage domestically or internationally.Welcome to our online ordering for In-Store Pick Up only. No next day pickup. Please wear facial covering as mandated by the Hillsborough County. Please follow the floor arrows and practice social distancing.Thank you and Stay Safe.
The plastic shield walls and multiple ordering screens offer a safe experience that is also efficient but nit intrusive
Bobacup is the best! I go here every week and I’ve never had a bad experience or a bad drink. Love the way they’ve handled the pandemic, so I feel safe while getting my beverage.
Workers were very rude and racially profiled myself and guests with me. I, as a paying customer, was asked to leave for no rhyme or reason. I felt discriminated against, and the Caucasian workers didnt treat me with any respect. It was overall a terrible experience. I wouldnt wish that on my worst event. 0/10 wouldnt recommend!
Customer service is amazing everyones so sweet and cooperative + the drinks and mochi are even better than expected !! :)
The boba was too chewy & tasteless, overpriced as well.
One of my favorite boba places in tampabay.the amount teas they offer and boba variety make this in my opinion the most customizable drink spot in town!Try the Thai tea with Mini boba and whip cream.
Really good boba tea, but the new automated system is a bit difficult to navigate.
