Place looks nice since new ownership. However, Since new owner took over the atmosphere and prices have changed dramatically. I used to be a every Sunday morning patron with my son. Atmosphere was friendly and Shawn was Awesome. Been going there since I was a teenager and Im 43. Unfortunately, I will never return to this establishment now.
Wow! What a great addition to Tarpon Springs. My parents are visiting from out of town and have been several times.I had vegan breakfast.it was off the chain. The menu has something for everyone. My mom had fresh asparagus breakfast Benedict with bacon bits! Bacon bits were actual fresh made chunks of heaven. Make a point to try it out you wont be sorry...it has a basic simple cheap breakfast you build your own to some higher end steak and eggs. You can tell when someone loves what they do you feel it here. Staff was welcoming and friendly.
New ownership. Food was phenomenal! I will quote my mother as she said, This may be the best breakfast Ive ever had. Owners are very kind and both came to our table to say hello. You can tell the chef has a love and passion for food when you bite in to the dish. Everything I tried was different and delicious. Servers were also very attentive and attended to our every need with enthusiasm. Great place! Great people! Great food! 5 stars all around!
This was my first time coming since they reopened back up. It was also nice to hear that they will not be closing next summer as well. This place is fabulous. A lot of thinking went into the menu choices. From scratch cooking is the best and they do it well. Its the kind of place that you have to keep visiting so you can try everything they have to offer. You never leave hungry. You have food to take home. I will be returning and recommending!!!
Love the Tarpon Diner! This place is an old-school classic for Tarpon Springs. A quaint little diner right in the heart of downtown Tarpon Springs. The owners name is Shawn and he is also the cook. He puts his heart and soul into it and has his menu down to a science for breakfast and lunch. Very reasonable prices and walking distance to everything!
This place has been in Tarpon for ages, but new owners have definitely turned the place around. Breakfast was delicious. Pancakes were the best we have had in a long time, and made from scratch. We will definitely be going back!
Tarpon Diner was a great place to stop for a buffet breakfast. There wasnt a crowd early in the morning theres no waiting except to be seated your waitress was very nice and friendly. The food is good Home Comfort cooking. There are separate men and womens bathroom. Handicap parking and plenty of parking for others.
Came in and tried something off the new menu and was blown away! Everything was very fresh. Great food, great service and very good coffee. If youre in the area do yourself a favor and try this place. The loaded omelette with fontina cheese was amazing.
Took my son here for his birthday. We both got the breakfast poutine. The food was amazing, and the staff was very attentive and kind. The atmosphere was very open and welcoming, and the noise level was very low. A great place for breakfast or lunch.
This is my favorite restaurant in Tarpon Springs. The chef has stepped up the bar for others in the area to reach. The menu is far from your standard fare with daily specials that are truly special. My favorite menu items include but are not limited to the lamb nachos, the house made chicken sausage, the croque madam and their Benedict of the day. If you are in the area dont miss this diner.
The new Owners have ruined it. Theyve tried to make it into a classy place with even Fancier prices. $2.50 for a cup of coffee.$ 15 - 29 for (A) single breakfast.It wont last
Theres no better place for breakfast in Pinellas or Pasco County. Owner and staff was extremely friendly, and the food is truly handcrafted masterpiece. There was a small wait, but thats to be expected when the food is this high-quality. Dont miss out on this one.
It seems like if your a regular you get better service than a newbie. The first time the service was non existent and we seemed to feel like we were bothering them. The owner was friendly however. The third time I went they served me a raw scallop and acted like it was no problem. There soup rocks!, but Im not going to pay a high price for soup.
I went with my baby sister who has cancer. She doesnt have much of an appetite, she really wanted and was craving breakfast. We have been going to Tarpon Diner since we were a teenager. We got the biscuits and gravy. It was awful super spicy lots of pepper! Inedible the waitress took it off our bill graciously we paid for our beverages and went elsewhere to eat. We Wont be back.
We have been going to the Tarpon Diner since we moved to tarpon. Seans food was amazing and reasonably priced. BUT since the new owner took over EVERYTHING has changed. $5.50 for a large orange juice. Really. We will never go back. Its sad.
Such a unique and gormet menu variety for an affordable price! Thickest bacon I have ever had as well! Definitely a hidden gem in tarpon and probably the best place in town for breakfast!

The owner is an absolute ass. He is so disrespectful to the waitresses in front of us as new customers. And he doesnt use gloves, blows his nose then gets back to cooking without washing hands. All in an open kitchen in front of us. Dont go here its disgusting Ive never heard anyone disrespect a waitress and yell at her in front of customers more than once in front of everyone.

Prices are decent, food pretty good. We have been here 2x so far, once for dinner and once for breakfast. Never a long wait, but I do see the regulars definitely get more attention than the occasional diners.
Delicious food with an innovative nod to its Greek-inspired surroundings. I had the shakshuka and my husband had the traditional breakfast with the loukaniko sausage, but we couldnt resist the temptation to have the Greek yogurt pancakes. So glad we did! The new owner, John, and his staff are very warm and welcoming. A jewel in the heart of downtown Tarpon Springs!

Worked here for about a few weeks for training before it reopened, but ended up only staying there for less than a week because the owners acted like I was asking for too much when it wasnt even suppose to be a problem in the first place. I was scheduled for an extra day when both owners knew I had limited availability because Im in college, when I saw that I was scheduled for too many days, I asked one of the owners for a day off because the schedule was too much for my availability.Then acted like I was being selfish when it was known from the very beginning, before I accepted the position, that I can only work pt. Then when I talked about my concerns to the other owner, she defended herself by using my poor performance against me. Any employee should be able to address any personal/general concerns to their managers without getting so defensive, its only for the benefit for everyone. I may not have been doing as perfect as they expected, but when youre a student and working at the same time, you can only do your best and anybody in general. Bad communication on both the owners parts and once it starts off that way, it only esculates from there. Students can only do so much in order to do well in their studies too. Its basic: employees can be reasonably accommodated if its for the benefit of performing their job.Pros: good quality and size portions of food for moneys worth.

Absolutely horrible! The wife and I agreed to give this place a second chance because the ownership had changed. HUGE MISTAKE! everything was bad! Even the water! She had 2pancakes and bacon. I had a ham and cheese omlet with hash browns and toast. THE TOTAL WAS $29 FLIPPIN DOLLARS! ARE YOU JOKING?!?!? everyone in the place was looking at their tabs with wide eyes and talking quietly. NOT A SINGLE PERSON LOOK HAPPY. Do not waste your time on this place!

The old Tarpon Diner was much better. Not a diner anymore. Over priced $9.00 for a hamburger. Totally ridiculous. Bring back the traditional diner food and lower your prices

First off never tried food because we all ordered the special. The server was in a daze taking order to start. Then after 2 mins she comes back saying were all out of the special that all 3 of us ordered. Very high prices as well for breakfast diner in tarpon. This is not st.pete or new York. If your going to charge price points like that then update your place and have food. Unfortunately I will never go back because of the lack of variety on menu and the extremely high prices they are trying to charge. Good luck but unfortunately i think it wont last long from my first and only experience.

The owner is the main problem of this place . No sense of urgency, no respect for the customers in the restaurant and his cooking is high school level. He yells back and forth to his staff and it makes us not wont to be there . We went there for three weeks and had a different waitress every time . Our waitress didnt know the menu at all. Two times we went there my wife had a egg shell in her food both times . The owner makes it feel like its your fault for the food being wrong . Never going back to this joke diner. Very very unprofessional diner !!! Worst Ive been to by far
