Avoid at all cost. They are incompetent and dishonest. It would be too long winded to go on about everything but my daughter came home with her engine cover just laying on top of the engine because the guy told her he didnt know how to put it back on. This is a very, very simple task. Never mine the straight up lies about the cabin and air filters. If you want to let someone work on your car that cant put an engine cover on and is dishonest this is the place for you. Best of luck. Fast and extremely efficient when it came to getting my car checked out.

I went in for an inspection sticker. There were 2 people already being serviced when I arrived and they were out about 15 minutes later. Several people came in after me for various services. All but 1 of them were out before me. About 5 or 6 different people and only 1 had an appointment. 2 hours I waited for a sticker. I didnt even get a sorry for the wait This was my second visit here. The first was great. I was in and out in about 40 minutes and they were really busy that day. I dont know what happened today but a 2 hour wait for a sticker when there are only 2 people ahead of you is unacceptable. Im pretty sure they forgot about me.

Brought my truck in to replace my fuel sending unit. I had called the day before and spoke with someone there told them exactly what needed to be done. I was assured it was no problem and to bring my truck in any time. Next morning I brought my truck in, told them again exactly what needed to be done, multiple times. They said no problem and theyll call me when its done. Got a call a couple hours later saying that cant do it because they didnt want to risk the damaging the fuel pump, and that they were under the impression that it was the fuel pump that needed to be replaced, not the sending unit, even tho I had stated MULTIPLE times the fuel pump was fine. The sending unit itself is just a plug and play style, but either they felt unqualified to handle that or they just didnt want to do it.

Best service around!! Makes me feel comfortable every time I come here for an oil change or whatever else I need!! I dont feel like they try and play with diagnostics like most car places!! Super quick service and they care to go the extra mile for you so I will drive the extra mile to come to them!! All these guys need raises!!!!

My son went in for an inspection sticker with his first car. The “mechanic” said he failed inspection because the seat belt in the back was broken. They offered to fix it for $200. My son declined and came home. I looked and the seat belts were in the wrong buckles!! They failed his car and the seat belts are fine. They were trying to take advantage of a young kid thankfully my son is smarter than that, but it is very disappointing that they would try and screw over a young kid! Great lesson for my son and terrible business for you.We went back the next day and got a new sticker and it passed with no issues.

EVERYONE at Speedee County Street is the best!!! With an aging vehicle, I have had some (unfortunately) very frequent visits recently, especially. I have been a customer for years, but recently moved to New Bedford, and would still rather drive the extra miles, than entrust anyone else!!!I thank them all for their honesty and efforts. Long wait ..was not impressed with inspection service. Left all my seat belts plugged in and back seat was folded down with belts engaged. When I did realize back seat belts where still locked in on my Wrangler the belts became twisted and took 45 minutes to fix so that I could slide plastic buckle normally. Horrible service..

Scott did an awesome job in diagnosing and dealing with the warranty company and getting the fixed and out of there in four and a half hours which is a miracle he did awesome I cant say enough about him and his demeanor and his keeping me up-to-date it was just excellent to work with and I have been there before and I will only bring my car to speedy to have a fixed

Update for my 2020 review. Still 5 star service as far as I am concerned. Have done my regular oil changes, a Transmission fluid change. The place lives up to its name as far as speedy. It may not be the least expensive place but it is also not the most expensive. Reasonable price for quick and good service.Went here for the first time in May. Was in need of an oil change, my usual repair shop was doing by appointment only, I had put it off a bit and didnt want to wait any longer so gave Speedee a shot.They pointed out a problem with the front end (something I was aware would need work, and had been informed of being on the horizon by my usual place). No pressure or scare tactics, willingly spent some time with me asking answering questions and provided me with an estimate (I had been told by my usual place what I needed and what it would cost).Time passed, the situation become one that needed to be done, decided to have this outfit take a look at the work, I knew was needed. Did the work the same day on a walk in basis, on price as quoted (and a better price than my usual place). Great service, great people, great price.

I walked in for an annual car Inspection, received me well and they did it quick, no problem until I got back into my car!.. where I found the piece of the electric board panel lying on the floor and I have to stick it back to where it normally belongs and also I left my car title in the passenger seat as they requested and I found that the envelope in which it hold the title was torn into pieces....I have asked nothing more but just to give the car as I gave it to you!I understand that it is a learning curve for the young lads, but a supervision of the senior after the work is done would be a better improvement for the business :)

If you want your recently purchased car or your daily reliable car get its engine blown...this is the best place to come to. Terrible service, they deny everything, they’re never at fault. This is more common with these bozos than not. Beware this shop!!

Great service. Honest about upcoming issues but not pushy about getting it repaired now.They gave me printed quotes for those upcoming issues and showed me, on my car, why Ill need them.I agree, Ill be back in a couple weeks.

We went there to get our oil changed and they never changed our oil filter like they were supposed to but charged us for it. The mechanic that worked on our car was inexperienced and put the screw on our oil pan incorrectly and that caused all of the oil they had just put in my car to leak out to the point that my car overheated and the engine blew while I was on the highway. Our car is a 3 year old car that was in good condition. when I told them about it they didn’t want to be take responsible for their carelessness and damages on my car and try to say that my car had previous problems when it did not. How does my car go to them fine and only needing an oil change and come out with a blown engine?

Bad experience. When they checked my filter they placed my glove compartment box incorrectly and now it is loose. The interior of my car was dirty where they placed their hands. Like black and now my hands smell too. No one wears a mask. They don’t tell you a price until after they do the work and don’t bother to tell you what they will do. For the oil change they spilled the oil all over where the filter goes and didn’t clean it up. They don’t wash the windows or vacuum interior. They are over priced for the services provided and very sloppy!I emailed the person who replied to this post and gave my contact info. the store has yet to contact me regarding my experience. The customer service is terrible!

Awful experience! I will not be going back there again! 1st time they didnt fill any fluids & the 2nd time they forgot about my vehicle. After waiting 45 minutes I went to check on it & they hadnt even started because no one knew why the truck was there. No one told them it was sitting there ready to get the oil done. Never again!!!

Awful service! Went in for an oil change in May and most of the stuff that was said was done wasnt !! Overpriced me for an oil change and when it came to getting another oil change come to find out I had a leak in the oil filter housing ! And the best part is that they put Silcone to seal it when they could of fixed it and they never told me !! Never again!!

Been going here for a few years. Last 2 visits were not to satisfaction. Sign says 17 checkpoints yet, cabin filter was not checked, even though I asked. Nor do they vacuum interior as stated on the sign. I was told they dont do it anymore. That being said, the service provided should be changed as advertised.

Went in for oil change and inspection. Left car there to do errands when I got a call that it was all set they told me the inspection couldn’t get done because something was wrong with my registration. I gave them the updated reg. called RMV told me that my reg. was active and there shouldn’t be a problem. Thinking they didn’t want to lose the oil change service from me if they told me their machine for inspections was broken beforehand.

I recieved an oil change today and I am currently pregnant and high risk. Not one staff member was wearing a mask. Not even the man I paid. I think the staff is kind and professional but I wont be coming back due to their lack of safety protocol.

Same oil as last time apparently meant put in whatever kind you want. Then I found a tool left behind. Too many other options for a simple oil change to ever go back.

I went in because my maintenance required light was on. I dont remember the guys name who help me but he told me he thought something was wrong with my gas tank or something. I said the car is old, my grandfather had it for awhile. (1999 Honda accord) I said the gas cap probably needs to be replaced thats what my boyfriend said. The guy told me that could be the problem but first he needs to cancel out if my tank has a leak. After waiting for an hour he told me there was no leak and the cap actually just needed to be changed.He charged me $100 to fill my tank with smokeGave me the $10 gas cap for free.He completely took advantage of me because Im a girl who knows nothing about cars. He could have checked to see if it was the gas cap first but he didnt.I will never going to this shop again because of this experience.

Sent the wife over to have a couple of dead headlight bulbs replaced. They told her they’d need to remove the entire front bumper to get at the lamp and quoted her $160+ dollars.She took a short ride down the road to a competing shop. $34 later, she was on her way with shiny new bulbs. Never touched the bumper. I don’t THINK they were trying to deliberately take advantage of a woman. It’s possible that this tech wasn’t familiar with how to change the bulbs on my vehicle. I only drive one of the most common sedans in the NorthEast....Regardless, my confidence in them is shaken.Very disappointed...

These folks are amazing! I moved away and will still drive back because their service is unbeatable. I have very limited car knowledge and they take the time to explain it all to me while making budget friendly suggestions. With their help I was able to visit another shop (I had to during a trip) and stood my ground when they tried to overcharge me on needless services.

Oil change, check air filter and I was glad that they were honest about not needing a filter yet.

I went in for a routine annual state inspection. I just pulled up in the back and someone walked out to help me I handed them my registration and they sent me inside to wait. Once it was all done they rang me up, I paid and my car was waiting out front running with my registration on my dash and a new state inspection sticker on my windshield and I was on my way.

Came in because my oil drain plug was stripped. They pulled me right into a nay, got it out in minutes. Played pest control because they found a mouse in my air box that I wasnt aware of! They did my oil change and charged a very fair price for this ordeal!Will recommend in the future!

WARNING - Unnecessary Repairs and Overcharging.I went in for an inspection sticker and they claimed they couldnt give it to me because tail light was out and I had to pay to fix it. I explained that I had replaced the bulbs earlier in the week at which point they left the office and quickly returned to state that it must have just been loose. I can promise you it was not. Then I was told that wiper blades would not pass inspection and it would cost $50 despite the fact that directly behind this conman was a sale sign indicating $35So beware of unnecessary fixes and overcharging from their repair guys. Theres at least one crook on the premises.

Quick service, nice people. I usually know what I need when I go in and that is all Im looking for. My only complaint is the constant attempts to upsell. Ironically, the thing I needed last oil change and never addressed wasnt even mentioned at the next visit. I just say no, but Im sure some people will cave.

I’ve always had a fantastic experience here, & I’ve been coming here for over a year. Customer service is surprisingly great, and as someone who has issues with SEVERAL different shops in the past, with past mechanics ignorant upselling and overall trying to take advantage of a woman just trying to maintain her car, this place is a breath of fresh air.I’ve never had the problem of upselling, the mechanics only make me aware of regular maintenance recommend by my car manufacturer (information no doubt in the car manual). But they don’t push the regular maintenance and they don’t go looking for problems with my car, they just give me their recommendations and prices for the future.I’ve taken my car here for multiple different issues, from tire replacement to replacing a computer, to regular routine maintenance. Occasionally I’ll compare prices between other shops or online, especially if it’s a costly repair & not just maintenance. Safe to say, if you do your research, prices here are reasonable and competitive. All my maintenance & repairs have been generally affordable.All mechanics are incredibly knowledgeable and work as quickly as possible. For those complaining about wait time on car repairs or maintenance, I’ve seen no difference in wait incomparison to other shops. Not to mention, whichever mechanic I’m dealing with always gives me a rough time estimate and offers to call me when they’re done, if I need to leave.Would & still do recommend bringing your business here, I’ve sent many friends here and will continue to do so. You’ll always have my business, as long as customer service and quality control still remains at my obviously high expectations. Keep up the great work ladies & gentlemen.
