This location has been managed by someone new for about a year now & I honestly believe it’s running much better. Yes there are a couple things that aren’t perfect but @least 1 of those things literally is out of the stores control. The air machine has no actual tie to the store itself so if ur having problems with that they honestly have no way of offering any type of solution except to refer u to the toll free number on the machine itself. Then there’s the car wash, it’s a hit & miss with that one…again, out of the regular cashiers control. They literally can only offer u a refund and hope that the tickets they put in are taken care of by ur next visit. Ppl literally expect way more from the cashiers without considering the possibilities that there’s only so much they can do for them. They can only do so much & the attitude that alot of ppl come inside with makes it an ugly situation from the very start. I’ve worked at a gas station for many years before so I totally get why some ppl are colder than others with some situations. They’re only doing their jobs ppl so be patient & kind to them as much as ur expecting them to be with u. ITS NOT THAT HARD TO BE KIND TO EACHOTHER!!
I paid $10 at their automatic car wash on May 3rd, it took payment, and gave the green light to park inside, but no car wash action nor water. I went into the station spoke with the two employees who said, oh the car wash doesnt work, come back in 3 days to talk to the manager. I told them it has to be serviced or simply turned off for it did take my credit card payment. I then attempted to dispute the transaction with my Best Buy Citi credit card and got a decision that I lost and owe the money. This is clearly unfair and wrong for I had to work for that $10 and didnt get my car wash. What do you think would happen if I walked into the Chevron station to steal $10 worth of product? Theyd call the police and prosecute me to the fullest extent, but I cant open such a case against them for stealing money from me. These big corporations are playing a most unfair ruthless greedy game with us.
Recently I had the displeasure of meeting clerk Michelle. I wanted $8.85 on my gas tank. She wind up charging my card $88.15 in gas. A big overcharge that when I approached her the next day she refused to help me with. She told me was my Banks fault but my bank referred me back to her as she has refused to help me meaning that I lost out on almost $100 because of an error caused by this clerk. Make sure you watch these people. This was $100 mistake. That I have to cover. And I have to bite the bullet because of that clerks and attentiveness to detail. And by the way my card is not going to hold $100 in gas and the money is not being refunded to my card. Buy her and her very costly mistake
Great Store, always treated friendly when I go there! I just hate how some of the CUSTOMERS have to always make excuses to NOT WEAR A MASK. So idk why all the negative reviews for. Just PUT ON A MASK AND Stop whining
On 8-2-20 at about 12:30 pm I entered ExtraMile by Jackson (Chevron) to purchase a fountain drink. I was asked by the female (refused to give me her name) working the register if I had a mask. I said “no, I have a medical condition”. She said we can’t serve you without a mask.Thinking she didn’t hear me the first time, I repeated “I have a medical condition”. That’s them Adam spoke up saying he didn’t care and that this is private property and I have to leave the premises. I said having a medical condition exempts you from wearing a mask. He said no it doesn’t, it’s the law! I then asked for his name, he said Adam. I asked for his last name and he muffled something that sounded like Stoddard. I typed it into my phone. As I’m typing.... The cashier spoke up again arrogantly saying leave the premises. Then said leave the premises again. I looked up at her and I said I’ll be reporting them and filing a complaint. And walked out.Under Governor Hebert’s Utah order for Salt Lake County, persons with medical conditions preventing them from wearing a mask are exempt from the restrictions. You don’t need to explain why or what your medical conditions are.Furthermore, if you’re operating a store and enforcing something, you better know what you’re enforcing. I tried calling their corporate office but of course, being a Sunday they’re closed. I’ll be reaching out to a lawyer as well. Nobody should be treated like they aren’t human and in condescending tones because they have a medical condition.
I pulled in this dump of a gas station with a flat tire because I saw the air machine. Go into to get change and the attendant tells me its broken and unserviceable.
Worse store Ive ever been to. Theres been a few times the workers were nice and treated me nicely. Until my last visit. I went in without a mask due to two health reasons 1. asthmatic (masks tend to trigger attacks due to feeling smothered) 2. Im pregnant and already feel light headed without a mask.Right away I was barked at to get a mask or leave. I told them I did not wear them for medical reasons. They stated it was law. Nicely as I could I said its not a law but a suggestion from.our governor. They rudely told me to leave.I totally understand the right to refuse service but yall gotta figure out how to be nice to people. Learn to be nice and just explain that you will refuse service. Yall also need to learn the difference between laws and suggestions/mandates from the governor. If it was a law, people would get tickets and possibly arrested. That aint happening. Also know that people with medical issues can prevent people wearing masks, unless yall want them to pass out or something at your store and be held responsible be my guest.I would not recommend going here ever.
This is literally the only gas station that I have been to here that can never seem to break a hundred dollar bill. Today I was told they will hold onto to my items if I want to walk over to the check cashing place. Like what? You are a gas station, you should have change. Not to mention a CONVENIENT store... Claire is amazing though, she is the only reason I even go there.
Due to Jackson Foods being the only place insisting on Petrie dishes on peoples faces, I will now have my medical exemption.
Ive gone here many times for the convenience of the location but they are anything but a convenience store. Today was my last time there and I should have known better. I should have been reading the rest of the reviews. Do the night employees not do anything? Why is it so hard to get a cold energy drink on a hot morning? Its a disgrace to Chevrons everywhere.
If I could give 0 stars I would...their car wash suuuccckkss!!! First there are no brushes in the wash... okay no big deal maybe its a new thing.. but the no brush clean leaves your car dirty as hell. Do not wash your car here..
Worst gas pumps Ive ever seen
The guys behind the counter were unhelpful sleazeballs. I walked in to buy a car wash code and they suggested that pretty women get free car washes, and that I should turn around so they could see. I quickly bought my code and got out of there. The station itself is fine, but those men were very unprofessional.
Quick fill and convenient location. Could be better kept but nothing else wrong.
Air service is OUT OF ORDER! The one stop I need air. Failures!!!
Worst chevron I ever been to. Im close friends with people in the corporate office so Ive been to a lot of locations not just in utah. If a worker Jennifer is the only one there you may as well leave because she doesnt know how to ring up the pump. I had to go back in 4x. First time she sent it to the pump next to me. 2nd time she claimed the nozzle wasnt on the pump even though it was. 3rd time she just handed me all my money back without asking what I wanted to do and tried to shoo me out of the store. She was acting like i was wasting her time when she was wasting mine. I ran out of gas there so I had no choice. I didnt want my money I needed gas. I finally asked if someone else was there that knew how to ring it up. She had the audacity to say maybe i used the pump wrong. You just lift nozzle, select grade, then pump. Any idiot can use a pump but not any idiot can work at this chevron apparently. Who doesnt know how to use a pump? What a moron to even say such a thing. 4th time I wanted my receipt cuz the machine didnt print it. And also to tell her how terrible her customer service skills were. She would shake her repulsive head at me each time i went back. Then she wanted to call the police for me coming in 4x!! It is not my fault that she didnt know how to do her job and I had to keep coming in!! They shouldnt leave her alone at the store if she cant ring up a gas purchase. I was able to reach corporate office after hours to report this but wanted to write a review to warn others not to waste their time if its just her. She is rude and impatient and not very informed on how to do her job. Literally saw another review that says equipment wont work and staff doesnt care
The employee came out to me yelling at me that I couldnt pump my truck and had to move. She told me that there was a sign on the pump when there was no sign. And she was screaming at another woman and her children because they were trying to get gas. She was so unprofessional! She was in a screaming, swearing match with that poor lady holding 3 little kids. And while I was leaving I heard her screaming at all the customers who were getting gas telling them they should all leave. I will never get gas there again when I used to get it there all the time.
The cashier had attitude. Not happy with the experience. Hours are good (24/7).
If I could rate this negative I would. People here hate thier lives and or jobs. No need to be nice but you dont have to be snarky c#&+@& for no reason. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
Enormous pot holes near the gas pumps. I accidentally went through one and thought I might actually blow a tire. No excuse, these need filling ASAP.
The system was down and they decided to lock the door. My credit card information got stacked i to the pump machine reader. I went to talk to any of them and i was knocking their door trying to get the employees attention while the two employes where just trying to ignore me chit chatting and laughing i was really mad. Finally i started yelling at them about my problem. After like 5 minutes the stupid guy came and told me still without opening the doors that the system was down. I mean i get it was locked. Not there i was trying to get into the store to by a soda. I had a simple problem and they where not able to even pay attention to what i was trying to tell. Then the guy said that mu info was going to be deleted so i didnt get charge for a no purchase. Not fun of chevron anymore
OMG! This store is one of 3 or 4 in fairly close proximity to each other (within 1,5 to 2,5 miles of each other. On my way home I noted one station $1.78 reg., and knowing the station closest to me (this one) was $1.76 reg. I went ahead, stopped there and filled up with mid-grade. As I was finishing the fill-up I bent down to see the mid-grade price (neither mid-grade nor premium are posted by this stations marque) and saw it was $2.06 - 30 cents more per gallon than regular 85 octane!Other stations close as mentioned are $1.92 mid-grade & $1.91 mid-grade (88 octane), & $2.06 for 91 octane.PLEASE check the price at 5595 S Redwood Road before you fuel up!This is deceptive practice and I wont return to support such, rather will travel that extra mile each way from my home. Consumer beware!.I will, however, report this Chevron station to Corporate as undesirable for whatever good that likely wont do ;-)
This place would not give me the correct change. Was rude and confrontational
Close to the freeway and Walmart for gas, but not the best item selection or helpful staff inside.
This us one of the worst stores Ive ever been in. The coffee set up is terrible. Most were unkempt and empty. The clerk was snotty and rude, except to the people in front of me whom she apparently knew. I would avoid this store.
Equipment doesnt work and the staff doesnt care.
No diesel fuel
