Hometown grocery that still has a meat counter! The meat is absolutely wonderful!!! Has a little of everything although the prices might be little higher than big box stores. They do run some decent sales though.This place is a treasure and kinda feels like your walking into a store from the 50s-60s. (I think the shelving is same) The store looks exactly like it did when I walked in there as a kid (30+yrs ago) except the little room for a game machine lol. This store carries some items you cannot find anywhere else in town (beside the meat counter) like some items from The Hill in St Louis. 5 star rating for this type of store that has survived extinction.

Always a nice friendly place to get you smokes @12 years old out of the cigarette machine. I cant believe Marlboros are .55 cents a pack. We miss you Mario.. Can I have a slice of Bologna please. Durt5 out.

Have always loved this place and the meat selection at their meat counter but love them even more today. Walked in today expecting to see bare shelves. The folks here have the shelves stocked and smiles on their faces even though I know they are tired from the past few days of uncertainty. A very calm atmosphere. Way to go TFC!

I have lived here in Taylorville going on 5 1/2 yrs now. If you want good fresh meat Taylorville Foodliner is the place to go. The guys behind the meat counter are really nice and helpful. The are always friendly an greet you with a smile. Ready to help you if you cant decide on what meat to buy! The cashiers and the other folks in the store are also just as friendly always speak to you when you enter the store. I Love doing my shopping there! They may not be as big as County Market or Wal-Mart but I Love the feel of this older grocery store!!
