Gene worked on our not been driven in over ten years 90 Jeep YJ. The engine had a tapping noise was all we knew but I wanted it gone through, repaired and running well as a gift to my husband. Multiple parts needed extensive repair or subcontracted specialty work. It took a while to get it done right but my husband is thrilled with the results.

Ive been a customer of Genes Auto Worx for a few years. My daughter recommended his shop to me to have repairs done on my ten year old car. Another auto repair shop had just told me my car had a blown gasket, and it would cost a couple thousand dollars, to start, to repair, and the car could not be driven. I had my car towed to Genes, but did not tell him about the blown gasket which the other shop had told me needed to be repaired. Gene and his team repaired this car, no blown gasket, for under $500, and I continued to drive this car for the next year and a half with no problems. Ive since purchased a newer vehicle and I also take it to Genes Auto Worx for maintenance. I just had the oil changed.I would recommend Genes Auto Worx to anyone, especially if you wanted an honest assessment of your car which is what they did for me on the ten year old vehicle I used to have. Such honesty at some auto repair shops is hard to find sometimes. I could have spent thousands of dollars on that old car for a problem that didnt exist! This is also a friendly shop. In the beginning in 2008 my wife needed a reliable automobile mechanic shop to maintain her vehicle. Since we were new to the area we relied on “word of mouth”. Best advice we have ever listened to. Gene tells it like it is and will take excellent care of you but better care of your vehicle!

Gene is hands down the most honest mechanic in the valley. I had a car towed 100 miles to him once. I go to him for everything I can. There was one week I ended up repeatedly in his garage due to flat tires, he fixed them at no charge and it relieved my stress to such a degree I about cried. Actually, I did cry, in the car on the way home. He will treat you like you’re a friend, not just some customer with a wallet. If I ever have to find a new mechanic, I’m walking.

Great guys, had a pretty nasty coolant leak that was beyond my comfort levels of correcting, they immediately located the issue and where able to do the work same day and have me back on the road before they closed. This was more than just a house but a good amount of nuts and parts had to come out to do the repair. So I greatly appreciated the same day service.

Unfortunately i do not recommend this location. My truck was work on by someone i dont remember the name I think it was John. He looked at it but made it worst then before!

I was referred to Genes by my brother in law, and i was very pleased. In one of my past lifes I use to sell automotive parts so I have been around a few repair shops, and by far Genes has topped them all. All the employees were friendly, and willing to help you out. I took Genes quote that he gave me and found out that he was right in line with other shops, was not trying to over charge at all.Do yourself a favor and go to Genes.

Gene and his crew took care of my truck and my girlfriends car better than I could have reasonably expected any auto shop to do. Gene was never anything less than perfectly upfront, honest, fair and educational. He explained in detail what was wrong, the work entailed in fixing it, and the associated costs, which were always reasonable. If a repair wasnt urgent, he didnt pressure anyone about getting it done.Sadly, I cant make use of Genes services all the way up here in Seattle after having moved. But the least I can do is to point people in the East Valley and beyond to the best auto shop within 50 miles. I can only hope to find his equal (or someone reasonably similar) up here in the Emerald City.

Took my 2005 mercedes benz c class in for a fuel pump get told its 600$ then after an hour im told itll be 1200$ because i have 2 fuel pumps and both went out i am a mechanic myself and know my car doesnt have 2 fuel pumps so i request to have the old parts given to me for proof and all of a sudden the price dropped to 800$ and they only needed to replace one! I wonder why, if you dont know your car DO NOT COME HERE its the absolutely worst mechanic shop around and they will lie to you about your car to dig a hole in your wallet/pocket STAY AWAY!!!!!! Not to include they told me my car would be ready in 15 minutes so i drove 45 minutes there to pick my car up to be told the car wont be ready until the next day so i drive another 45 minutes home to get a call being told my car is ready to be picked up! A waste of time A waste of money and I hope no one is willing to give these men another dime. And even in the reply to this review more BS.

Brought my car here 5 months ago for a gas leak. I was quoted $1000 for a new fuel pump($500) and labor($500). I bought the fuel pump for $250 from amazon and took it to another mechanic who asked for less money to change it. That mechanic later told me that the fuel pump was fine and that the O-ring was cracked. Charged me $100 for parts and labour. I havent had a leak since then. I also returned the fuel pump to amazon and got my money back.

Replaced heater control board and fan motor for fathers car 13 months ago with one year warranty, When same problem developed again Gene pulled the dash and replaced parts charging no labor even though it was technically out of warranty. He really stands behind his work with integrity.

Ive been bringing my old car here for the past 2 years and they havent done me wrong. One time I brought my car in after the temperature gauge went off the charts. I was mentally preparing for a huge repair, but they told me there was just a loose hose that leaked coolant. They re-attached it and topped up my coolant at no-charge! Some shops out there will gouge you $90 just for a diagnostic check.They can also pick you up/drop you off if you dont have a ride! love this place. *Might be a distance limit but if you live near or go to ASU, its really useful
