Was the worst experience ever buying anything! These people are a scam. Bought a washer and it never got delivered. I called day of delivery several times no answer. Went by the store after work and signs on the door saying business closed due to late rents. Phone number in other paper saying theyβd moved downtown. Called number they said they left and started their own business MES or something told them I want my money back. They said I had to get it thru Sears not them?? Finding out thereβs no way to reach anyone at Sears they went out of business. So this whole Sears Home store was a scam!!! Still have not got my money back π‘π‘π‘
I purchased a washing machine from their showroom floor. I paid for it, and when their employee moved it from the showroom to the loading dock it broke. The manager, Noelle, informed me they would order the part for the lid to replace the broken part. I agreed and gave her my email address to send the receipt for the part too. However the email I received was a link for me to purchase the $200 replacement part! I attempted to contact her three times, twice via email and once via phone, to straight in this issue out. She has refused to communicate with me. I left a review on Facebook and the store owners replied with an apology for the negative experience and then blocked me so that I could no longer communicate with them. That is horrible service and my next step is to contact the Better Business Bureau.You would think the fact that the owners tout their veteran status would mean they would not want active duty military to have to spend extra money to fix the mistakes of their employees.
If I was able to give a zero Stars rating thats what they would get.I ordered a dishwasher, the hook up and installation Three weeks ago. The delivery was supposed to be on Friday the 17th. No communication from them at all so I began callung Saturday morning. Only to get a this number can not recieved calls message. I called customer service who jerked me around for 3 days even after they verified that the store phone didnt work and we had gone up there to find an empty store. I was told I had to deal with the store customer service could do nothing. Yes, this is the full lack of education comments. Today Monday after looking at review I find out that they Supposedly were evicted for non payment of rent and have started a new business in downtown. Really KARMA SEARS KARMA. To the owner that stole my money and left me high and dry remember KARMA
Excellent service! My husband and I were in and out of the store in less than 20 minutes with a brand new refrigerator! They quickly helped us find what we were looking for and set up delivery and haul off of our old refrigerator.
I definitely recommend this store for all of your appliance needs. The people are very friendly and helpful and do their very best to accommodate you. Their prices are very fair. I will purchase all of my appliances from them in the future.
Still trying to get refrigerator that was bought in February fixed. Local store wont take calls or return calls. The refrigerator never worked properly from day one. And is under full warranty. Will never purchase another Sears item. Its June 24, 2021 and still do not have working refrigerator. DO NOT EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE!!!!

I had such a great experience buying our new nice refrigerator from Ron and the temple Sears Hometown Store. HE went above and beyond and helped jump thru hoops to accommodate my requests. HE matched my price I found online, and set me up for a weekend delivery. So glad Ron helped us out

Poor customer service! I wish there was a such thing as negative star ratings. When you try calling they dont answer the phone. The manager is rude. When asked why they did not answer the phone after calling every hour since open till 3 pm they say they cant When on the floor. They dont have a answering machine that lets you leave a message or say who your calling etc. The young girl they have there needs more training. I was told one price for my washer and when I came in ready to pay, the manager ridley told me their was nothing she could do even though her worker made the mistake. The same young lady gave me a time that my washer would be delivered. Well after I waited in that four hour block of time I was told I called them, the same manager said the lady must have gotten confused when she told me that time and said again nothing she can do about it it I would have to wait for the delivery guy he would be by today sometime. Needless to say the time I was quoted was between 8 to noon I hot my washer at 630 pm! I asked several times to speak to the owner and left my information. I havent heard back yet. I wish Sears had other local places of bussiness around here cause this place is Tarnishing their name.

When a sale goes perfect, its easy to give 5 stars which really dont say much. When a sale has a bump, and you get to see customer service in action, your review carries meaning. Our refrigerator died Saturday night, Sunday we shopped, deciding as we have several times in the past on the Sears Homestore where Shelby guided us through the sale and the bumps painlessly. First bump was price, but dont worry, sales prices yet to be posted due to COVID business. Second bump, first delivery Saturday (trying to catch up), but we are out of a refrigerator! After fine checking, delivery possible Thursday - yeah! Third bump, refrigerator has a cosmetic ding on rear panel - shouldnt happen on a new unit. Shelby apologizes, says happens, often between factory and store and adjusts price more than fairly. Fourth bump, due to my poor measuring, doors have to come off to get it in place. Install guy, Joe, patiently and pleasantly works his behind off getting this thing in place. We went from 22 sq ft to 25 sq ft (increased width), and it seems so much more, probably due to better layout. Love Whirlpool, love Sears Homestore.
Customer service is awesome and they really know how to handle some customers that can be rude. I would definitely recommend buying all your appliance needs. The people there make you feel like your a part of their family. They take care of you when you least expect it. Cant wait to see how the store will grow!!!
I have used Sears products for many years and have been pleased and satisfied with the overall service and quality of the products I.have purchased..Recently I was looking for a riding lawn more. I was approached by Daniel and he inquired about my mowing area and what I might need. After.reviewing the mowers available, I decided on a Husqverna 42 inch mower with the locking transmission due to some slopes and hills in my yard. Daniel was most knowledgeable about his products and helped me choose a mower that was best for my needs. I really appreciate the time he took to help me purchase the mower best suited to my needs. I have mowed my yard and am thoroughly pleased with my purchase thanks to Daniel at the Sears store here in Temple on Marlandwood Drive.

Absolutely amazing experience!Our Samsung washing machine had started to have some major problems, so we were in the market to replace it.We dont live very close to the store, so we went through our entire purchase process by phone. I had an initial conversation with Daniel, the owner, who is by far the most knowledgeable person on appliances I have ever encountered.From there, Alan sent us information by email on a couple of machines based on what we were looking for. We reviewed these and called back the next day. Alan wasnt in, so Jason rang up the purchase for us on Alans behalf. No hassle at all. We completed the process, got our receipt, and eagerly awaited delivery.I called in the meantime to ask a couple of questions, and Alan was helpful and remembered who I was, even though someone else had rang the sale in his absence.Delivery day arrived with no surprises, and the team was incredibly quick to install the new machine. Before we knew it, the machine was leveled, and running on a cycle with nothing inside to fully calibrate.Happy family here--this machine (Kenmore Elite!) is much, much better than our previous one. Its everything we were promised. We also purchased the extended service agreement, which has much more generous terms than other competitors programs.I worked in retail for 7 years, both as an associate and a manager. This is the kind of experience you want to provide to customers. 10/10 for us. We will be back for our next appliance!
Went there three weeks ago to get a 1/2 impact swivel and a 40 torx bit replaced under warranty. They said they had to order them and it would be one week. After two weeks I stop in to check on them. The girl running the front counter didnt seem to know any thing about them. She located a man who said he thought they were in and he would go get them. He went to the back of the store and never came back. After thirty minutes of waiting the counter girl tried to find him and couldnt. I told them if they found them to call me. They had to take my name and phone number again. They took my information the last time! While all this was happening another lady entered the store and ask about her mower being repaired. They told her it still wasnt done. She replied it had been there over a month. I have given up on getting my tools back at this point. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Well it has been another three weeks and I still have not heard a word from them! Not even a reply to this review!

The owners are fantastic, honest people. They really care about their store, customers, and employees. The store has alot of selections and the staff are helpful. Sears is a brand that speaks for iteself, but awesome customer service goes a long way to make a customer feel confident in their purchase & service. Very disappointed in my experience with Sears.I was in need of a washer & dryer as soon as possible. Sears had one I could get delivered in 4 days. They delivered and set up. The delivery guy ran a short cycle. I noticed water behind the washer after the delivery guys left. Thinking it was just from the hose, I put a towel behind the washer to soak it up, put in a load of towels to wash and headed out. On my return the towel was soaked, water all under the washer and under my freezer. The wall was soaked and crumbling. I called to speak to a manager or owner. The delivery guy came back out and took a look at it and said something a long the lines as water pressure because of a new machine. In the meantime I put down another towel which also got soaked. Since all I did was wash a load of towels, I guess it is my fault that there is a leak somewhere which wasnt there before. After 24 hours and no return call from the owner I requested for the appliances to be picked up and my money returned. I only got a call from the owner Daniel after I requested for the machines to be picked up. I did not get an apology or an offer of someone other than the delivery guy, who swears he did not do anything, to come out and take a look at it. After 4 days I am still waiting for my money to be returned. Terrible business practices to not return calls or care about the damages that have been done to my house.

Shelby and Daniel are amazing. The go the extra mile for their customers and really advocate for you. I have worked for and bought from a big box store (they shall remain nameless) and I will never go back. There was a problem with my order due to a manufacturerβs error and they made sure I was taken care of. They give 5 star customer service. And they are honorable and kind people, which is immeasurable and priceless.
Great prices but above all, exceptional service!!! Lovey new washer and it works like a dream. Fast professional install and again, did I tell you how amazing the service is? The owners went WAY out of their way to deliver my washer in a necessary situation when they were booked for days out. If I was willing to be flexible, they would get it done asap. And they did. Will be buying all of my new appliances and yard tools here for years to come.
Wont bother to go back. They will actually take and tie up one of the registers and instead of taking care of the next person who has been in line waiting to get checked out and take another customer to look something up on the second register. They have their priority backwards.

This store has great employees to help with your visit. They have a larger selection then most hometown Sears. They have sales regularly. Making a payment on your sears credit cards is simple and quick here. They offer delivery for appliances and other large purchases. They also can set up a variety of appliances at your home.
We were having some major problems with our old refrigerator which was purchased from Sears. We had a service agreement with Sears and it came to the point that they decided it was time to replace our old unit and get a different one. Daniel was instrumental in helping us get a new refrigerator. His staff was very friendly and helpful. The delivery team called before coming to verify it would be a good time to deliver the refrigerator so we didnβt have 8 to 5 delivery time. Set up was quick and efficient. I am totally satisfied customer and would gladly recommend this Sears!
There are huge signs outside and inside this store, We Now Service Small engines. I go there to drop off my walk behind trimmer a Craftsman, and I get told they are not accepting any because they are 5 weeks behind. If your that far behind take down your signs so people know not to waste their time with you. Will never do business with this sorry place again.
WORST EXPERIENCE, WORST SERVICE 3 : Owner Daniel states NOT ENOUGH HOURS IN THE DAY TO CALL CUSTOMERS BACK so I was forced to go up there several times. Brand new Kenmore refrigerator icemaker and mother board broke from initial intall. After 3 months, service calls finally even Daniel the owner suggested I just get a refund because might be a couple months more to get a new one. I left 5 messages with employees with 1.5 after he told me to call to get details of my exchange(that never happened). When I went up to the store because they refused to call back he said THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH HOURS IN THE DAY TO CALL BACK. Shocked after being a long-time Sears customer. Listen to their voicemail recording can leave a message but probably wont get back to you. The owners Courtney/Shelby and Daniel could care less and are not apologetic. The refund was a pain Daniel processed and when I asked about why my receipt says O he said it just says that and will be processed. I wait 8 days go back up there because they wont answer their phone and the owners tells me someone should have told me it they funds needed to be released. I said well that someone is the owner your husband. She said he should have told me. Anyways, crazy horrible service and shocking they can survive in business with horrible service! We will buy the rest of our appliance at Lowes or Home Depot.
Daniel the manager went above and beyond to help us get our refrigerator in a timely manner. He was in constant contact to resolve some issues and a pleasure to work with. Kudos to Joe and Andy who delivered and set up the fridge. They were so careful to avoid any damage to both fridge and our doors/counters/etc in a tight situation. Outstanding service by all and I will definitely be a return customer!
We ordered a washer and dryer from Home Depot, but due to delays and back orders, finally gave up on ever receiving it. Sears Hometown to the rescue! Not only did we get a better deal, but the delivery guys, Tim and Eric βETβ Extra Tough, were amazing! They were kind and helpful, punctual, very respectful and even helped us move a piece of furniture into a different room to accommodate the moving in and out of the appliances we bought from them. We love to support locally owned businesses, so all our future business will go to these guys!
Took my mower in for repair, needed a carburetor rebuild. Three days later it was ready & the charge was 60 bucks. Starts on the first pull, & while I was there I saw a great deal on a weed wackier. Iβm a happy guy.

Service was good but if your going to get a repair on one of your appliances this isnβt the place to call. My girlfriend and I donβt know anything about fixing refrigerators so we called them and the service man said it would be 471 to fix the thermostat. So we paid and got it fixed within 30 minutes . $99 for the part and 370 for 30 minutes of labor. We looked at prices online afterwards and it turns out we paid $220-$320 over the regular cost . Itβs a good company with good service but they rip you off on the price . i would not recommend them for getting your appliances serviced . Changed to 1 star due to the product lasting about a year and then breaking again. I paid over 400 bucks for a thermostat that lasted one year. So if you want a product that is made to last I would go somewhere else.

I appreciate that this is actually an independent franchise that uses Sears name (for now). The staff here are always super friendly and helpful. Lately, they seem to be light on the items I would like (Craftsman tools, lawn and garden tool parts, hand power tools). They seemed to squish up and stack some items together to get rid of an aisle to make room for mattresses. They dont need to sell beds! There are too many of those businesses in this little town already! They have a limited supply of large appliances (fridges, ovens, microwaves), but can order more if you want them. In fact, we purchased both from here a couple of years ago. Id love Id they could become more like a neighborhood hardware store and less of a jack-of-all-trades - we have Big Blue and Big Orange already. FYI, they DO NOT accept Sears corporate coupons or specials.

My husband is 67 and usually when he walks into a store he is noticed, but not at sears in temple. We purchase there because of location, but I think HR needs to get off their high horse and get this store in shape. I would fire everyone of them on the spot. If you want satisfied customers then you better get some customer service.
My husband and I went to Sears to look at the refrigerators. Ours went out Sunday night. Well, we found just the right one, and purchased it today! The staff was friendly and helpful. One employee, Mike, even joked around with us! Our overall experience with this store was great. I have shopped with this store before, and have always had a good experience with them.

Reason for my review: I have been using my craftsman since I was given a replacement after original weedeaters shaft broke. Never had problem with it starting and running. Used all summer. I took it to you because it had tendency to leak oil when sitting until next use. After the last time I used it, I decided to take to you and a note was attached on it that said it would not stay running. I was asked what I put in it . I advised that I always use recommended oil and craftsman canister of 4-cycle fluid. No one present at store could answer the explanation written on the paper why it would not stay running. Also noted was loss of compression Thats why you got one star from me. I left email address as well and received no notification.

Actually just came back from there today and had a great experience. Both the manager (didnt catch his name) and Mike were both helpful and as soon as I walked in the door both of them greeted me. Mike helped me with some options for a washing machine I need to either replace or get some work done on and provided me with all the information I need. It is a smaller store and there were only the two of them so for those of you who are mad about them not helping you did you ever stop to think or look to see if they were tied up with other customers?

Ive had some kind of difficulty every time Ive ordered from this store. Selection isnt great, but thats typical of this type of Sears. Nice to have a Sears close for my tools, but this is plagued by the basic Sears problems - problems with their systems, and inventory problems. I do have to say that this location has reasonably good customer service, though - not A+, but not terrible.
