Great and friendly staff eith a welcoming atmosphere already makes for a good shopping experience, but what makes it better is the pretty big selection of things to buy there. Ended up finding the game I was looking for right there on the shelf, after a roughly 2 month search. I highly recommend this place.Staff, keep up the good work!

Sold me a broken PS2 & controllers, screws were out of it. & they sealed it up & sold it to me as a working unit supposed to have been tested already, then when I attempted to return upon discovery I was sold a broken unit, the young lady informed me it was a no cashback only store credit only. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE, NOW I AM STUCK WITH THEIR JUNK, UPSET AN MAD, WHY ARE THEY STILL IN BUSINESS IS BEYOUND ME? They do not entire waeing of mask for people coming in and out of the store, its crmaped, and the staff is slower than molasses. I love going to the copperas cove game exchange but was in temple so decided to try this store out. I will drive the extra miles to go to the cove store that is not cramped or slow. The killeen store is no better always smelling of pot makes me sick.

Great place to look for those missing movies to fill out your collection. Only problem is if your missing Marvel movies you have to visit often as they are a hot commodity. Staff is always friendly but leave you alone which makes it a relaxing and pleasant experience.

Not a bad place to go when shopping for games/movies etc. My personal experience has never been bad, its always at least a place to compare/contrast to GameStop. Your ultimate savings will mostly depend on what youre looking for and when due to the ebb and flow of the market and what deals they might have going on at the time. Staff is always friendly and quite knowledgeable as well.

Somewhat overpriced unless one of the sales is going. Shelves crowded but organized so its good if you need a specific title. Staff is friendly and is good about checking discs and fixing problems.

This store has great deals, but more than that it is very friendly. The people working there are very willing to help recommend games, answer questions, or help you look for something. On top of that, I have started buying all of my games there because they have a great selection and rock bottom prices. If youre looking for a place to go for retro games, this is definitely it. However, if youre looking for current gen consoles and games be aware that game x change prices those a bit higher and you might find them cheaper elsewhere. But its hard to argue when you can get a tall stack of wii generation and older games for under $20. I highly recommend them :)

Rude service when asking if they had a game. Called Game Stop and they were nice, told me what stores had it right now. It was a gift and was able to get it in time. When asking Game X Change the guy just said no and stared at me. He really said nothing else.

Back when this store first opened up it was really good. People were coming in droves to shop here instead of the gamestop next door or the CGX in the mall. However recently that seems to have changed quite a bit. I go in once in a while because I cant find what Im looking for at a gamestop or I need to off load some items that they take. The transaction process normally goes off without a hitch but with the exception of two very specific employees that Ive only seen a few times, most of the staff are generally not very customer service minded. Most of the time they seem bored or disinterested and they never even try to go the extra mile to help you out.I give this place two stars because - with a couple of exceptions - if you go talk to the employees they will generally help you out. However it would have been at least a 3 star if it wasnt for the fact that a few of them seem to have a bad attitude.Word of advice to the staff: The people that come in your star are not your friends, and despite what you may think this is not your hangout spot. Most of you need to be more mindful to the tone that you use. I honestly dont believe any of you intend to sound rude or mean-spirited but I have witnessed this many times when I go in and have even been treated like this. There is one employee in particular - who I havent seen in awhile - that did however seem to carry a bad attitude no matter what he talked about. I interacted with him on four separate occasions, often asking about the availability of certain games, the layaway program, and the other little small details that I honestly didnt know about when dealing with this company. Each and every single time he spoke with a condescending tone as if these are things I should have already known. Personally Im hoping he no longer works here, but as I said Im not sure of that.Despite these issues I would like to commend the direct supervisor of this store. Every time I have had the pleasure to speak with him has always been a refreshing and professional experience. I once complained about how a now ex-employee spoke with customers over the phone and would hang up on them, then later found out that the employee was fired for such behavior. He really does try his best to work with what hes able to get and I commend his efforts. However I do feel there are certain personality traits that need to be looked at for future employees considering my previous paragraph.Lastly, years ago it was policy that every single device that was brought through that door to be traded in be put through rigid testing to make sure it wasnt defective or busted in anyway. I dont know if that policy changed but I do know there are way too many defective games, consoles, and other electronics that are being sold here. I recently bought a game that they never should have accepted in the first place because of the huge and very noticeable crack in the back of the disc. If they had popped the game into a Wii system they would have figured out immediately that it was completely busted as it wouldnt even boot up on the Wiis home menu.This brings me to my final point of contention with this store. Refunds. I understand there are policies in place for a reason. However when YOU sell me or anyone else a completely defective product and I bring it back to the store within minutes of me leaving, there needs to be discretion involved here. I will get mad if you give me the whole We can only give store credit spiel because it is your fault in the first place why I had to drive all the way back to the store from the opposite side of town to return an item you should have never accepted in the first place. Im not speaking from an entitled customers point of view here, but rather a person who worked in the service industry. Discretion is a must, especially if the product was paid in cash anyway. You have the cash. I want it back for a product that doesnt work at all.In short: Make some changes and consider this stupid long review. Maybe the store wont be a shadow of what it was back in 2013.

Killeen Game Xchange has terrible reviews, so I often come here. The manager and employees are extremely nice and helpful at all times. They always honor returns among their other policies, and if you are a faithful customer to them, the manager makes sure it stays that way. Been going here for a couple years now and not once have I had a problem.

I honestly dont know how they have so many positive reviews, everytime I come here is a horrible customer service experience. Horrible, horrible, horrible customer service, they love to argue here. Also miscommunication, manager told me you have 30 days to bring back a game. Brought it back and the green haired girl told me that was wrong, knowing that would have made me alter my purchase, which Im sure they knew. Im not on to complain over stupidity, but this is a constant affair, I honestly dont know why I still go there, maybe I may find a cheap game I suppose. Very bad customer service.

I will never I mean never buy anything from here again... I went in and bought my daughter an Xbox one for Christmas. On Christmas we hooked it up and it didnt work.. Okay I take it back the next day. The gentleman was very nice. Replaced it. We bought a skylander starter pack. I get home the portal they sold me was for Xbox 360. Okay.. I take it back the next day. Another gentleman that was also nice gave me another one. We get home the portal dont work. Okay... I take it back again this time the gentlemen tells me he thinks another will work go home and try it if it dont come back again.. I live in Belton. Im not next door to the store. I wanted my money back to buy them a new one from Walmart.. He was very rude while speaking. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I can only the other xbox I got from them dont brake 😩. I should have went to GameStop.

Fyi dnt trade ur movies here. 20 movies for $20 okay that makes since but what doesnt make since( to me) is if you dont want 20 movies you pay $4.95 -$10 for movies. Omg. So if you sale your movies to them you get .32 haaaaaa. I was like huh? Someone correct me if Im wrong. This was the answer I got when I got asked the question.
