I had a detailed tune up of my 2013 BMW X3 about 7 months ago, practically drove out a “new car” however, everything has been a night mare since then. I have had to fix the timing chain and coolant pump one after the other and spent $$$ on. It has been 1 week since I had the coolant pump fixed and now my check engine light is on and there is still a leak.Addendum:Took the BMW back and fixed the issue. Points up at least for all of the courteous consultant who is practically like family now that I talk to them so often. They will at least go an extra mile to make sure you are taken care of.
After seeing some of the best reviews of any BMW dealer in the area, I made Tenafly my first visit to look at a BMW 330 sedan. Normally, I scope out two or three dealerships before making a decision on a car, but I immediately felt comfortable with the staff there that it became my only stop. Ricki Shamen was the sales associate who helped me get into a lease and take care of a trade in on my previous vehicle and she is fantastic. She made the deal so easy and seamless, I was trading in my car and getting in the new 330i the very next day. The finance manager, Landon, was also phenomenal in how he thoroughly explained all the numbers, fine print and additional packages. No BS, no pressure sales and no sketchy tactics at this dealership. 100% recommend.
I went in for the replacement of a run flat tire and one other that had worn down. I waited for the repair. While it took a couple of hours, I was regularly updated on status, had the free no obligation 31 point inspection done which was very reassuring and was able to wait in a comfortable lounge. I have bought two cars here and love the place.
This was my first time having my car serviced on the East Coast. I was able to get an appointment for my car quickly. Gem was an amazing service provider. Loved her. They inspected my car and made suggestions but didn’t pressure me into anything. They repaired my tires and I couldn’t be happier. Definitely coming back for all my maintenance needs.

I called on Thursday about needing someSmall body work (someone hit my car while parked in a lot) and also seeing some new models for a 2nd car we are interested in purchasing. They told me someone would call back. Someone did a few hours later and told me to come in Friday afternoon. I couldn’t make it so I called them, they said come Saturday morning. I show up, wait 10 minutes with nobody there. Then a guy comes and tells me I have no appointment, nobody from the body shop is in, and they don’t take walk ins so I have to wait 2 hours. Then he said the people I spoke with are from some outsourced call center that always makes mistakes.He then was on his phone checking emails while I stood there and he basically just said he can’t do anything, so I left. Great service…They used to be better, not sure what’s going on lately.

Fred (sales associate) and Stephen (manager) are communicative, personable and fair ($$). Im happy to have a relationship with these two and wish more dealerships had staff like them. Hence, i just leased 2 cars, back to back, from them.
Very disappointing experience. I left specific instructions on what I wanted checked out and done on my car. I took over a week for just a look it seemed that all they did was hook up a scanner. Their 31 point visual check is a joke, stuff that I knew was wrong went overlooked. I asked them to check cabin filters and to change them if needed, that was not done.. in fact I still dont know if I need them replaced. I asked them to check spark plugs and make sure they were still good, still dont know if that was checked. Seems that they had my car in for service over a week an all they did was scan it and give me a $10k estimate instead of giving me other options for a more cost effective repair. The one thing they did check was my amp in the trunk. I know this because when I was almost back at home fueling up I opened my trunk to find it taken apart and not put back together.. to confirm their lack of attention to detail I unknowingly had antifreeze spill into the extra storage space below my trunk which was still puddled and not even cleaned up. They clearly saw the spill and had no thought of cleaning it up. I had to waiste another hour driving back and forth so they can put my trunk back together again.Throughout the week I had left several messages for the status of my car with no call back. I expected a charge for them to scan my car.. but in the end paid $385 to be frustrated. I did get a rental car for the week and that was good but in the end.. their lack of attention to to detail left me never wanting to return, and I wont ever.

At the time of an oil change, I asked the service people to kindly install a small reflector (which I provided) on the front left drivers side which should never have fallen off in the first place. I was told they could not do so without charging me a labor fee. I went home and installed the reflector on my own. This took me literally 45 seconds to install but I didnt realize how simple it really was. I feel that a courtesy request such as mine should be respected since I am a long term BMW client. No courtesy whatsoever. I am not sure if Im going back to them for my next lease.

I’ve never built a car before and they made sure the process was seamless. They informed me that since the car was a build, it would take about 2-3 months to get it, but it came about 1 month earlier than I expected. As soon as the car came, we scheduled an appointment to drive the car, explore all the features, and close the deal. When looking to purchase a new SUV look no where else except Ricki Shamen at BMW of Tenafly. I was introduced to her through a mutual friend and she exceeded all of my expectations! At our first meeting she walked me through the build of my SUV, she even guided me on options that she didnt find necessary for me (who would have thought an honest car salesperson!). After my build was complete she provided me with a very realistic delivery date. I was skeptical being that all you hear about is chip shortage this car shortage that but Ricki came through and delivered the suv sooner than expected. I love my new suv and loved the entire purchasing process. Can not recommend enough, 6 stars Ricki, you have gained a lifelong client!
The quality has gone down significantly. I had my oil change done with them on Saturday and it didnt go well at all. After the oil change, the next day the maintenance light lit up again on my 540i sedan and I left them multiple messages regarding the same. The customer service lady said the service manager will contact me, but no one did and still awaiting for them to call me back. I guess they are too busy during the pandemic with limited staff but this is the time when they need to show that they are their for their customers. I had bought my second BMW from them but I am not sure if I am going to buy from them ever again.

I called three time to find the person who takes care of auto body repair. Three times they tell you that you are the next call but that is not true. Twice the person a female finally picked up and gave me a Mr. Kim but without either transferring me or giving me his direct extension and then rudely cut me off! I would not recommend this place if a receptionist can not even be trained or monitored properly! I would not have given the place 1 star but without doing so I could not post this!

So so place go somewhere else. This place has a bunch of people sitting around, we’ve been there a couple of times and nobody to greet you and from all the people sitting around no one comes to ask if you need help or something. Should’ve go back to Park Avenue BMW which is a nicer place by the way.
Our experience purchasing a vehicle at Tenafly exceeded our expectations. We drove over two hours from another state to purchase a vehicle and the staff at Tenafly did everything in their power to make the process as smooth as possible. Roland and Landon were very accommodating with all of the difficulty of purchasing a vehicle out of state and gave us a ton of confidence that we purchasing a quality vehicle from a great dealership. Went there for service. be careful when you give your card to them they will charge you whatever they want without authorization. they charged me $25 for returning a loaner with the same exact gas level. already disputed it! they dont even service their own loaners right. the loaner they gave me needed alignment.

Fred is possibly the best (and certainly the funniest) car salesmen I’ve ever done business with. I’ve leased, bought and financed cars and Fred was top notch knowledgeable and informative. After selecting a vehicle we worked with Christie Reichert in finance who was professional and caring to my financial needs. I brought in my dads 2007 328xi for recall work and an alignment after doing a front end refresh. My dad had picked up the car after the service was done and drove it for a month before I drove it and thats when I realized that the car was pulling to the right pretty hard. I called John Collins and asked if they can take another look at it. He said sure bring it in no questions asked even after a month and 500 miles driven after the alignment. The tech said that the rear tires had to be changed and that the front right tire has a leak. I knew about the rear tires being unevenly worn and they did recommend the tires to be replaced but I had opted out. I changed the rear tires and patched the front left tire at Mavis and the problem was solved. The old rear tires really didnt like the alignment adjustments. I am very pleased with BMW Tenafly. John was very understanding during the process and communicated very well. Im so used to dealerships trying to up sell everything to the point that it takes away from the customer experience.
